I love me some Family dollar.

Man this store has gotten me through some rough times. I spent some time living in the Congress Theater apartments. There are no grocery stores around here. I do not count the wack CVS down the street. Thus, I have done entire grocery shopping from Family Dollar.

I have purchased the following from Family Dollar: Hello Kitty underwear that fit weird, Socks, Mac N' Cheese, Pre-Cooked Bacon, Soda brands I have never heard of before or since, a skid of tuna, weird foreign dog toys, ect

This place does lead to weird eatting habits though. I did go through a pre cooked bacon out of the package on the way home phase I try not ot think about.

Six white t-shirts (which I am required to own as a culinary student) are twelve dollars. Giant 48-load bottles of Gain Mandarin Lime (my favorite scent of my favorite laundry detergent) for five dollars. The possibility I will be outfitting my bedroom, at least temporarily, with their cheap build-it-yourself furniture is about thirty dollars. It is within walking distance. It is inexpensive. At a Family Dollar you don't ask for much but a variation on what you are looking for at an inexpensive price, and this store delivers.

Does it make me uncool to admit that I shop at the Family Dollar? Well then, color me lame cuz I do... Often. This is thee number one place to come for Bleach, detergents  and other cleaning type items. Its SOoooo Mucho cheaper than Target or any other stores in the Hood.

Family Dolla! Who can't love a store that is full of useful and necessary items at such low prices?? I frequent the store for cleaning supplies, and it's one store my kids love to go in with me because nine out of ten times I say "yeah" to the toy/book/whatever they want.

And the people who work there are very nice too.
