"Hooray! I'm so thrilled to have found Pressed Cleaners. I've had some bad experiences with dry cleaners ruining things, so we started off…" read more »
You took out 3 weird unknown highlighter-rust looking stains out from my favorite dress shirt after my local dry cleaners couldn't, and that's 5 stars in my book!
Owner is very nice and, most of all, very knowledgeable unlike the many other cleaners I went to over the years, he said he'll get it done rather than tell me they'll do their best (and not to get my hopes up in other words)
You can also tell they aren't using all those heavy chemicals, as the shirts come out with a natural look unlike the crispy stale-ish look you get everywhere else (plus I saw a sign on the door that says they have some organic or safe detergent- or whatever).
What I love the most is the fact that the shirts are only like a 1.50! However, do keep in mind that stained shirts end up being much more, still great cleaners, I will be back many times!
Edit: I forgot to mention, they usually take about 5 days.

The owner was a really nice guy ... but they lost my blouse - not returning!

Updated: The shirts now cost $1.50 (inflation)
I get my shirts laundered and pressed here for $.99, you can't beat the price (men's shirt only). It typically takes a day or two longer than other places but according to the person that helps me they own their own facilities and have less capacity.
I don't get my dry cleaning done here since I'm fairly particular about my dry cleaning and found a good place (I'll write a review later on that shop).
The shirts come out nicely laundered (light starch) and I like the fact that I'm helping out my local dry cleaning shop. Only 4 stars since I haven't converted my dry cleaning over to this place yet.
i wanted to drop a line and open my big fat mouth about this place. so i want to say FIRST, the old owner guy, he typically wears like a nice suit with a sweater vest is an absolute sweetheart. nicest guy iv met in a while. i admit i have a non sexual crush on the old fellow, but moving on...the other guy who is younger but not young, prolly a son of the older guy?...is a total prick. i bring a suit to be tailored, 2 pairs of gay diesel jeans, some cool pinstripe dress pants that i like to wear regularly becuase i like the pattern and im cool like that, and a vest.
SO, i shyte you not, on EVERY item i wanted altered, this fool had something negative or to disagree about and tell me why it wouldnt work. my jacket i wanted form fitting/no, because it will look silly and opens the flaps somewhat. the matching slacks and dress pinstripe pants tapered and hemmed with a one inch hem specified so the pants end result would look fashionable, professional and youthful/ tapering and fixing the crotch will alter the pants, they are cut a certain way so it should not b altered. diesel jeans that needed to be hemmed and one paired tapered, original hem requested and guaranteed at least 90% of original hem becuase when tapering obviously there will be too much fabric to fit on new hem/ same deniable reasons with slacks. vest, too make it slightly more form fitting cuz it hung a little loose/no complaint except asking why.
the verdict.
the jacket fit perfectly-so why give me crap?
the pinstripe dress pants-almost perfect exept the hem was 3 inches AND, he tested me in the store by "fixing" one side and testing me to see if i could tell because my requests were so ridiculous by the body language and attitude he gave me. but again, y give me crap?
the slacks-wrong hem again, too baggy, virtually did nothing except hem pants, i looked like a clown, the pants just needed polka dots.
the jeans-no original hem AT ALL, i had to "destroy" them with sandpaper. but the hem lengths were correct.
the vest-still too baggy.
so heres my beef. when i go to a place to recieve a service i am paying for that the place OFFERS, i thinkit is out of line to question a customer unless its impossible or detructive. let alone try to make room for error and insult personal taste.
because the truth is this. when i buy a suit at hugo bos, they tailor it and fine tune it to my every request for free if the suit is bought in house. and the suit i brought in was NO different. i ifnd it personally insulting when someone literally tries to convince me the possible is impossible when iv seen it done before. and that my prefernce is inaccurate and flat out wrong. i think its his culture, maybe in his country its normal to argue about everything. u know? it makes no sense but they argue anyway, and then they screw up the clothes on purpose to just prove a point, but when u come back and complain they respect you, and fix it to the T liek how you asked for it in the first place virtually negating the whole arguement and "impossibility" of the tailored requests. u get it?
anyway, im sure its great at dry cleaing, just dont bring your clothes here for special tailoring that matters. i will never return there again. and i would like to pee on this man.

The dry cleaning is cheap and well done. Although it does typically take about five days for me to get my stuff done, I once needed a dress cleaned overnight once and it wasn't a problem .
Edman (the owner) really knows about taking care of clothes. I came in and said one of my cashmere sweaters was stretched out, and he explained how I could launder at home to shrink it slightly. (It totally worked and saved the sweater for me.)
And the day before I got married, my brother got his suit pants hemmed overnight, so props for that.
