the place had russian movies for rent.  Now it's newly renovated.

carries birthday-cake style cakes.
also has american, russian and kosher baked goods and russian candy.
Like a russian jewish neighborhood, you can ask to get only half of 1 loaf of bread sliced if you please (it's the only kosher baked product in there though).

there was 1-2 tables with 2-4 chairs if you wanna sit there but it did not used to be some hip hang-out type of cafe, but that may change with the new renovations.  This place would flourish more if it merged with the pretty cafe 45 degrees accross the street from it that is not getting much biz on its own.

Very decently priced, but "cash only"

some of their cakes have a hint of rum flavoring.  absolutely delicious.  there's 2 that I'm addicted to, the one wrapped around in chocolate topped off w/white cream, and the cherry filled piece with (yellow cake?) dough.  Neither are too overly sweet, just perfect with coffee.
