Had an event here recently and could not believe how above and beyond the organizers went for us. Everything was beautiful, and the party went off without a hitch. Plenty of food and very friendly and fast bartenders.

Such a beautiful venue, and a very large space. Would absolutely rent space here again for another private event.

A family friend invited my fiance and I along with his brother in-law's family (adults only) to her and her husband's wedding up in Boston on a gorgeous Saturday in Mid-October. Prior to the wedding, we had to select our dinner option when we RSVP so there were no surprises when we were at the reception.

The views at the Fall River Country Club were stunning and relaxing! Our friend had her ceremony outdoors in the back of the country club where it was absolutely beautiful! Chairs were laid out nicely. My recommendation if you're ever coming here for a wedding ceremony, bring a pair of sunglasses because the sun will blind your eyes. The ceremony took place at 5PM so the sun was shining directly. Ceremony was beautiful and great. After the ceremony was the cocktail hour and boy was cocktail hour crowded! The guests were all adults, but still felt very crowded so my fiance and I stood outside most of the time. The servers were very friendly and kind in explaining the different hors d'oeuvres they were bringing out.

The reception was held inside with about 20 tables. The tables and centerpieces were beautifully decorated and simple. We all started off with a salad which was actually quite good. Before the entrees arrived, I decided to go to the bar for cocktails/soda and after I place my order the bartender tells me $6.00. My jaw dropped and questioned them if open bar was over? They said yes (well thanks for the early warning). I think this turned a lot of people away since there was no warning that open bar was not opened anymore. For entree, my fiance and I had the filet mignon. I requested for medium rare prior to the wedding during my RSVP since they asked how would I like it to be cooked. Unfortunately, it tasted like close to well done - total bummer! The sides in the entree was delicious and decent!

The coffee/tea was self-service and so was the cake. I don't seem to recall there being an announcement that the cake was cut and ready outside of the reception, but a lot of people were confused on that part. There was also other desserts like fruits and cookies available outside.

Overall, I feel the service from this Country Club was so so. The views and scenery are definitely beautiful and gorgeous, but I think that's really only thing that stands out and also that it's pretty clean. I found that it wasn't 100% ADA accessible because we had someone in our party that is handicap, so it was a little difficult for him to get into the back of the country club for the ceremony.

The best course in the general Fall River area! Some of the views you get on the 10th and 3rd holes are PGA level. Clubhouse is also top notch

Several membership categories are offered it is best to check with the pro shop and pick the best deal for how much you will play

I photographed a wedding here this past weekend. The place is beautiful! I adore how they are right on the water, and you can watch the sunset. It made for a great place for photos, that's for sure! The grounds are well kept and beautiful!

This wedding had buffet style food. The food served was pretty delicious. The waitstaff and wedding coordinator seemed very nice and accommodating to everything. I'd love to come back here again soon!

We had a wedding at Fall River Country Club (FRCC) in July 2016, and we are very happy with our choice. Here is why:
-View: We wanted our venue to have a nice view, and this place has it. We checked out the place in Winter, and we knew it would have an amazing view during Summer since then. It is a nice golf club on a hill that is next to a river.
-Affordability: This is by far the most affordable place with the good service/venue/food. Our contact at the venue was Aaron Cabral. He helped us to make good decisions according to our budget.
-Service: As the groom, I am very happy with the service and I did not hear any complaints from our guests.
-Planning: I mostly worked with Aaron Cabral. He has been working there for many years, and you can get really good advice from him. He is not a wedding coordinator. However, he helped us in our wedding related decisions. If you are not afraid to ask questions, he would be a great resource to you.
-Location: We live in Boston, and of course we've checked the venues in Boston first. All I can tell is that the biggest advantage of Boston venues is the driving distance, nothing else. FRCC is an hour away from downtown Boston (take 93 south). If you live in Boston and your wedding is on a weekend day, you can't beat this place. The locations in Boston easily take half an hour with light traffic., and you might have to worry about parking. The only possible challenge with this location is public transportation. All our guests arrived with their cars, or I helped them to carpool.
-Food: Food prices are very very affordable, and the taste is good/great. I am not very selective when it comes to food, that is why I put "good/great" (in case I'm not objective). The food is buffet style, and the venue organized the food table very well. They invited the guests by table. It was organized (no chaos). The venue allowed us to bring our own desserts, and it made us very happy.
-Additional Perks: Since it is a golf club, it has very nice picture sites. We (including family members) were given rides to a nice hill inside the golf club for pictures with cheese/fruit plate & champagne. We had around 120 guests, and the place can easily accommodate 200. We had around 10-15 toddlers & children. The outdoor space is nice for children to play around if they are bored during the 6-hour-wedding. Our wedding was from 5 to 11 pm. We did not do an open bar, but the drink prices were affordable.
-Contingency: What happens if it rains? We got married on a rainy day. Luckily the rain started after our ceremony, so we did the ceremony outside with the beautiful view. What made me happy was that we were able to decide to make the ceremony outdoors or indoors until 45 minutes before the ceremony. Having that flexibility and support from the venue made our day.

I recommend you to have a chat with Aaron at the venue when you are checking out different venues. It will be worth your time.

I recently attended a friend's wedding at this venue. I will say that the place is absolutely beautiful, but the staff and the food left a lot to be desired.

I arrived to the wedding as the ceremony was just beginning... traffic and such... and asked the staff how to get outside without interrupting anything. They had no idea and were unwilling to help. They kept directing me to other employees to ask. Their best suggestion? Just run out the doors before the bridesmaids headed down. Thanks.

Next, the bartenders didn't know how to make anything. And the gentleman who seemed to be the head bartender was rude about not knowing. Drinks aren't cheap, so I at least expected that they would know how to work with the products they had at the bar. They didn't. I asked for something with St. Germaine. I was rudely told that someone had given them the bottle and they had no idea what to do with it since they've never tried it. I gave them a few suggestions on what I like with it, but they didn't seem to care, so I settled for a bottled beer instead. I guess their ignorance saved me a few bucks.

The food was sub-par. My prime rib was overcooked and dried out, while the food of everyone around me seemed to be less well-done. Poorly seasoned and cold. I guess I can't expect better.

This is the place that seems to disprove the rule that location is everything. It isn't.

Jason and his staff are very attentive, personable, friendly and professional! The food prepared by FRCC is always fresh, hot and completely satisfying. I've had the privalidge of working here many times as a Disc Jockey and never once have I been dissapointed with service or the food! Not to mention, my clients have always raved about FRCC and how Jason and his staff were just awesome to work with.

Went on July 22. Nice course. Beautiful scenery I hardy ever notice at most course lots of hills. Greens are great 3rd hole lives up to the signature hole downhill par 3 with slopping back to front green with bunkers on both sides and river in background. Hope we are lucky enough to play here again this season
