Grabbed a quick falafel after my visit to the Guggenheim.  Yummy!  Don't have a lot of options for falafel when you live in the midwest.  Not much ambience, but it's basically fast food.  Delicious fast food.

I'm so glad this place is in my neighborhood because I've been stopping by every week for my falafel fix!

It's a small place with only a few tables and the menu is posted on the wall but that didn't bother me after eating my meal. Everything I've had here (the falafel and chicken kebab plates) has always been consistently good. Definitely a place to stop if you're in the neighborhood and want quick, cheap and GREAT food.

I've been to this place two days in a row. The first time around I ordered a grape leaf sandwich topped with hummus instead of tahini for less than $4. The sandwich was absolutely delicious and left me completely satisfied. On my second visit, after work, I ordered the lentil soup with a chicken kabob platter for under $10. This place is a gem. The food is exceptionally filling, but more importantly, exceptionally priced. I'm pretty finicky with my money and there is no better value in the city than Falafel Express. And as far as I'm concerned, no better middle eastern restaurant.

In high school, this was my favorite place to eat. I'd come here 3+ times a week to order the Mousakka with Chicken for $3.50. The owner was always very friendly with students, and posted a hall-of-fame board with student ID's of those who had graduated. Good times.

Definitely a staple to my weekly diet when that lamb craving comes along.  FE may have swayed an extra star closing late-ish at 10:30 and for being just across the street from me.   I'm partial to the 53rd & 6th carts but who's got the energy to make that trek?

It's a bit confusing ordering here so I just order the express menu.  You can't miss with the Lamb rice plate and have some of the best fries in the city IMO.

I always order the Lamb Rice plate meal and the the Gyro Meal (for the fries).  $14 for the both including the 2 sodas.

They could have better hot sauce, but who's complaining when you can hop over there in your jammies!
