1 review for Fairfield Inn Suites
I am a little disappointed in this Marriott hotel. It is no Courtyard Marriott, that's for sure. I expected it to be average, on the level of, say, a Holiday Inn, but it was more like a Motel 6.
First, there was no bellman to help with my bags. Also, even though the hotel is not full, I was assigned a room near the elevator, next to another guest, in a construction area. There were not enough blankets and no water (or refidgerator or mini bar) in my room and the walls were thin. Everything was polyester and there are no umbrellas available for guests to borrow in the room or at the front desk.
Last, but not least, when I needed to check out early in the morning - at 5AM - there was nobody at the front desk. I called the hotel on my cel phone and the phone just rang and rang and rang. I waited for over 20 minutes. When the desk clerk came in from outside, he was rude and didn't apologize for the inconvenience of my wait. He said I didn't need to check out at all and he refused to credit my stay to my Marriott rewards account number. I was late arriving to the airport, but luckily I didn't miss my flight. If I had paid full price for this hotel ($100/night), I would feel ripped off, but since I paid closer to $60/night by naming my own price on Priceline, it is acceptable.
On the plus side, there are guest laundry facilities, a pool, free continental breakfast, free Internet access and a business "library" (?). The shampoo and conditioner in the room was Pantene brand.
Note that there is a TGI Fridays next door, but no restaurant in the hotel.
