4 reviews for Fairfield Inn by Marriott
This is an o.k. place to spend the night while on the road, as we did.
The cleaning people started pretty early, and were banging their way down the hall. We were on one of the corners, near the front, so it seemed every single one trampled by.
The service was OUTSTANDING, especially the front desk people, and Jamie in particular. She went out of her way to make sure we got a room we liked, and provided cheery and professional service!
We could have stayed at my aunt's home last night, but who wants to sit outside amidst the pine trees at the base of the San Francisco Peaks? Who wants to wake up early and perhaps spot an elk outside your window? Not my husband. He wants an air conditioned room with reliable cell phone service. Welcome to my world. In his defense, and I probably don't defend him enough, he was on-call for his job and needed his phone. The A/C is another matter.
Fairfield is where we usually stay when we're paying. Always clean, reasonably priced ($100-$130 or so), and a passable free breakfast (bagels, yogurt, cereal, waffles, etc). Rooms have free wireless access, stain-free bedding (when I've dared to look), and some have fridges. There's also a small fitness center and a pool for the 1 month a year you can swim in Flag. The parking lot is well-lit which was certainly a plus for us last night, just in case a thief didn't know our car was actually barely running at the time and dared to steal it.
Maybe not where you would choose to stay if you're looking for your hotel to be your vacation, but nice enough you don't mind going back to your room at the end of the day.

this was by far the best bang for the buck I've had in a long time...the rooms are well executed, decor is nice, clean and the bed was yum - slept like a baby! the receptionist Meghan was really nice and suggested a great coffee spot...got out of there paying $82 on a Tuesday night...my hubby was happy with the fresh bagels, oj and peanut butter option for spread for breakfast-overall, we loved the Fairfield; it felt like a Marriott...found a $5.00 off coupon online
The reception area is very nice and service is friendly. However, do not get a room by the elevator, the cleaning crew is very LOUD in the morning, which i think is extremely inconsiderate. And also, you face the pool, where kids start with the cannonballs pretty early.
