4 reviews for Fairfield Inn by Marriott
The rooms are just average. Rooms could use a makeover with brighter colors and updated furniture as it appeared dark in the rooms (even with the lamps on). Would've preferred a bright cheery colored room. The curtains only had the thin material that closed all the way and the thicker drapes were only decorative and did not pull over the windows to block out the sun in the morning. The room did come equipped with a microwave and fridge , which came in handy to keep our water bottles cold and to heat up leftover Beechers Mac & Cheese!
The upside to the place is the make your our own waffle makers. Fresh and hot. That was a nice touch to the average and standard continental free breakfast offered at most hotels.
Hey price was cheap, well not expensive, I'm a college student. The place was clean, new bathroom decor with cool striped shower curtains, spacious and they even had a fridge and microwave. Not only all that but I was so excited to find out about their, FREE WIFI and Free Breakfast! Make your own waffles dude :P
Yes I'd totally come back here and recommend it to others.
Three stars is definitely right. Everything is clean, everything works. The breakfast is adequate, maybe even a tad better than that. The workout room has two big posters that illustrate body ball exercises, but it has no body ball! On the other hand, it has 5 Precor machines (two treadmills, a recumbent stationary bike and two elliptical trainers -- one in dire need of lubrication). There are some mats, some dumbells, a couple of benches. Also a water cooler with "spring water". Come here if you get thirsty and don't want to drink from the tap; I'd stay away from the $3 bottles of Dasani that are placed in rooms.
I got a USA Today at my door, but there are also Wall Street Journals for the taking in the lobby.
Free WiFi from StayOnline. The speed is only 500 kb/sec, but this is adequate for writing Yelp reviews.
This Fairfield Inn is totally respectable and fine for what it is - it's not a posh hotel but has more than the necessary amenities and is very clean (I'm pretty picky about cleanliness).
I travel to Seattle frequently for business and stay at this Fairfield Inn because of its easy location (it's right off the 520 freeway exit @ 148th Ave) and it's super close to the Microsoft campus and facilities in Redmond (less than 10 min drive on all local roads). Plus, there are plenty of local restaurants for eat-in or takeout nearby.
This Fairfield Inn has a small indoor pool (big enough to play with kids, not big enough to do laps) in addition to a decently equipped gym.
The hotel is pretty quiet and some of the rooms (not sure if all of them do but at least a bunch of them) have a microwave and refrigerator in the room plus you get a totally respectable and diverse selection for breakfast foods in the morning. Plus the wireless internet is reliable and works from every room and is FREE! There is plenty of parking available around the hotel and there is no charge for parking your car (no valet service either).
There are two other hotels right next door to this Fairfield Inn and all 3 are Marriott properties. There is a Residence Inn & a Courtyard by Marriott but I usually prefer the Fairfield Inn.
Overall, I definitely recommend the Fairfield Inn for a frequent business traveler. It's not posh so I can't really give it more than 3 stars but I can say that the staff here is very friendly and tries to be as accommodating as possible so I stay here often.
