This is THE BEST LUNCH in downtown San Jose PERIOD! I have had lunch at Fahrenheit at least twice per month (sometimes weekly), and I can not believe the freshness of the food, the quality of the menu selections and all at a surprisingly lowere than expected price!

Then you consider that the ambiance is perfect for any number of occassions. This is a great place for a business meeting, quiet lunch date, or a place just to get a way from the noise and business of most lunch spots, just so you can actually have a great lunch and actually ENJOY your lunch break.

Roberto, the server, was on point and always is on point, and the chicken must be free range or something because it did not taste like the usual lunch time frozen chicken reheated that so many other places offer. And the Salmon steak sandwhich - holy bananas! The filet was large enough that it could have been served for dinner.

The fries were spectacular as was the home made Aoli sauce, and they even make fresh lemonade to order from the bar - nice touch!

I have been to pretty much ALL of the places downtown that offer lunch, and overall, the value and quality of Fahrenheit can NOT be beat hands down. I cant wait to go back and try some of the other items. If you have never been to Fahrenheit, then you need to go. If you have been to Fahrenheit for dinner or night life, you need to go back for lunch to see what you have been missing out on.

One of those places that sounds so good on paper, yet continues to be a bit disappointing in person.

It's a nightclub/lounge that sunlights as a restaurant by day ( and early evening ).  We had visited for dinner before and been somewhat disappointed, but thought to give it another try upon hearing that they had recently acquired a new chef.  Stopped in for a drink and a few appetizers one Friday evening.

Beer selection is middling-okay.  Mostly the big boring guys, but a semi-local tap from Devil's Canyon.  Cocktail list is also about what you might expect - heavy on the fruity drinks.  They were also apparently unable to provide all cocktails on their list due to being out of mint early on a Friday evening.

We had an unremarkable tuna tartare and some stuffed peppers which earned recognition from my companion for being "the worst thing I've eaten recently".  I actually thought they were not *really* bad, but the menu somehow did not mention their cheese content - and though I am sure that it was *not* nacho cheese sauce spread on the plate under them, it sure did manage to *taste* like it.

The kitchen was relatively fast.  The bartender relatively friendly, though not very quick to greet us when we took a seat.  The place has the trappings and pretensions of a much better restaurant ... but doesn't quite manage to execute.

Fahrenheit has been a hit or a miss for a the past few years for me. Out of all the experiences here, my most recent experience was not the best in terms of food and service.

We were a big group of people and had a comfortable spot. I felt either there were not enough servers or the server we had was kind of not around for the most part.

Most of the appetizers we got had no flavor and I was certainly disappointed with the Chef's Ceviche.

I got the Rosemary and Honey Glazed Petaluma Hen (sounds yummy, I thought), but no flavor, ate enough to just not be hungry for the rest of the night. I sampled the Garlic noodles and Sea Bass and the Grilled Steak. MEH!!! Not writing about them is evidence enough :-)

Sorry! But you guys really need to revisit the cooking style since it's a misleading menu with very promising options but clearly there is no taste.

Company party was here.. Everyone was really nice and the food was okay. The spiced pear martini was delicious and I had three and was buzzin like a little bee.

Dance floor was a little ghetto fabulous after our company party was over and we stayed to boogie... that is man jose for you though.

I was there yesterday 12/9 for a complimentary bottle service :) i loved the Christmas decorations they had up! Definitely put me in a festive/celebratory mood. i felt like vip when they sat us down and brought out our bottle. farenheit definitely is one my favorite places for bottle service. there was some event last night and i loved the music & crowd!! drinks are the usual prices $10-13. i definitely want to be coming back more often :]

    one con,
we were always looking for our server. I think it wouldve been better if she made more rounds or if we could just order from any server.

Seriously, if I could give more than 5 stars, I totally would.

I'm an event coordinator for my company. We held our Winter Party at Fahrenheit last weekend. From my first point of contact with Eric Haraga, Owner/Operator, I knew Fahrenheit was definitely the place for us. Eric helped me through every step of the way, including finding a karaoke DJ, photobooth company, and many complimentary add-ons. All of our employees were raving about the great customer service and excellent food. Danny, Chef/Owner, was also a great help to me the night of the event.

If you are a corporate event planner, talk with Eric. He will make your life super easy! Also a great place to have business dinners. The ambiance is excellent and they have "hidden" tables. You will not be disappointed!

Thanks again to the staff and management at Fahrenheit. You guys rock!

It's Friday! Friday! Gonna get down on Friday! :)  So we decided to find a place in downtown SJ where we can have some drinks and dance the night away.

My friend sent us 3 bars/lounges to choose from and based on what was written on the websites, we opted to check out Fahrenheit.

Trying to find a parking spot on the street was like trying your luck winning the lotto. Nuff said, you know what I mean. So, we ended up in a garage parking that charges $6 which is not bad at all but we had to walk 5minutes to get to the lounge. 5mins? That's nothing right? Try walking on a stiletto, yeah, that's something else.

Be ready to pay $10 to get in. Don't forget to bring cash because they don't accept plastic at the door. The stocky guys at the front are friendlier than most lounges I've been to. Just an observation.

Lets get this party started!!!! Or not!
The place is empty! I mean for a Friday night, you expect lounges like this to be packed by 11pm. They only have a tiny dance floor and yet you can shake your bootay without having problems of bumping anybody. The DJ that night SUCKS!!! Probably why only few people were up on their feet.

But the drinks are good! Thank God! I only had 3 drinks and I was already smooth. Its either i'm a light weight or the bartender makes strong drinks.

Over all, the group left happy and faded!  And we continue the party in my crib...but that's another story...:)

The ambiance here almost couldn't get any better, but one of the best complements was our bartender.  While he entertained us with tricks and conversation, we completely enjoyed our seat at the bar.  We shared an amazing beet salad, a delicious burger and the sea bass.  Of the three, we'll be back for the beets.  Yum.  Either way though, we'd go back just for drinks at the bar or in the lounge.  Lovely place.

Enjoyed a nice dinner last night at Fahrenheit. Ambience was nice - upscale meets lounge.

Had the Mongolian BBQ Ribs as an appetizer - very generous portion/size. Asian fusion flavors - tender to the taste, much like smoked ribs, yet lightly sauced. A must have for any ribs aficionado.

Had Garlic noodles w/ prawns. Last time I  was here, i recall them using the round chow mein noodles - which was very good. Seems the round noodles absorb the seasoning better. This time, they used a flat asian egg noodle - seasoning seem to not absorb as much. Texture was off. Felt more like a pasta dish, but in asian seasoning. I think the garlic noodles are best with the traditional chow mein.

Also had the Hanger Steak medium rare--was perfect. The dish cooled down quickly, but was still tasty.

Had the Dream Liquid drink - grey goose, peach schnapps, chandon - very refreshing. -My new favorite drink!

Great food, service, and atmosphere.  I was worried that it might be too noisy but at 6pm, it was fine...we could talk at normal levels.  I went with a group where most people tried the fish and I got the grass fed beef.  Delicious!  I definitely will come back next time going to a show downtown.  They served food in a timely manner too.

This review is for the restuarant and the club both.

Dinner: Very good upscale food, but small portions!  not for sharing.  My friend got the halibut and it was reallllyyyyy good!  I ended up getting garlic noodles with chicken and it was REALLY good.   The chicken was blackened and seasoned very well.  Calamari was also good!  The sauce it came with was the best part.

My one complaint was that they had "run out" of certain items on the menu, so we had to order our second choice options.  And whe we chose our second option, the food came out under cooked, so we had to send it back.

After dinner we stayed for the club portion of it and they offered us all a glass of champagne since we had dinner there.  They also offer discount on bottle service if you are eating there as well.

Club: Good music, generally hip hop, lots of bar tenders that are working there so you don't wait too long to order a drink.  Bartenders are really nice and put on a show while making your drinks!  There is also a lot of seating because it is a club-lounge.  Bathrooms are also kept clean, but the door is suppppperrr heavy for some reason!

Oh and the 2nd time i went there, it was for clubbing only and there was cover but we met some guy on the street who was handing out free VIP passes so we got in no cover, yay!

Extra star for:  Cheap but strong drinks!  our total was $50 for 1 midouri sour, 5 crown shots, and another mixed drink. winning!!

A friend and I went there last night for the first time.  We're always looking for places to eat prior to seeing a play.  The menu online sounded great, the location was good, they said they validated parking in the lot a block away.  Our reservation was at 5:00 when they opened.  When we left, I told the waiter we would never come there again.

    1. They place was so cold people were leaving their coats on.
    2. They do not provide any sort of bread pre-entree, or at all.
    3. For $23 I got the hangar steak which seemed okay but at the last few bites it tasted almost spoiled.  The potato croquette didn't even taste like potato, it was more the flavor of a hush puppy, and the swiss chard was blek.  I don't care to chew flavorless vegetables into little balls and then spit them out because they never disappear.
    4. I tasted my friend's garlic noodles and they were gummy yet hard. And why you'd put that with a steak is beyond me.
    5. The waiter asked my friend if she'd like a coke refill and she said yes. She never got it until I asked him where it was.
    6. When he brought the dessert menu (at 6:00), he said two of the desserts were not available "yet."  The tiramasu and the berries desserts.  The only two items that I was interested in having.  So, I got no dessert.  I complained that an hour after opening they should have all their desserts available and he could let management know I would not be coming back.  They did give us my friend's dessert for free, but that didn't help me.
    7. When we were ready to pay the check, he told us they had run out of validation tickets.  Say what?!  When I called to confirm our reservation, the guy on the phone told me to park in THAT lot because they validated.  Now you're telling me you can't validate?  So that would negate the free dessert, right?  He came back a few minutes later and had found a validation ticket.
This was a horrible experience and really disappointing because we would have gone here again, but nothing they did made up for all the bad stuff.  The one good thing I would say is that the happy hour half-price drink I got was excellent as well as the happy hour $3.00 Fahrenheit fries that we shared.  We should have just gotten cheap happy hour stuff and split it.

I really like this place.  It's an interesting destination and I'm not sure it knows what it wants to be.  I've had good dinners here and also had a great time (or twelve) dancing to house music.

Was here Thursday night for a YELP Elite event.  Met the GM and the wine steward.  He is trying to do something really interesting with their wine program and he stopped by to talk to us.  The last time my husband and I had dinner here was years ago, admittedly, but I'd like to go back and try it again, seeing what they are trying to do with their menu and their wines.

Great lounge areas to sit and listen to the DJ spinning and drink a cocktail.  Modern decor, elegant, spare and chic.

Fahrenheit is a refined and classy establishment that downtown San Jose needs to embrace because there are not too many places like it. The environment is always up beat and there is always a night with the right music for me.

I have eaten here several times and I always return because of the exotic ingredients that are used in their meals and those garlic noodles.

This restaurant/lounge is well operated and I always recommend it to out-of-towners. Keep up the good work... and delicious food.

I've only been here for happy hour, but their happy hour is great!. Everything was delicious! The Fahrenheit Fries ($3) are a must have- you get a mix of regular, sweet potato, and taro fries with standard ketchup and the not so standard Sriracha Aioli. The Curried Potato Croquettes ($3) were also pretty tasty. The burger is only $5 and was perfectly cooked and juicy.

Cocktail wise the Georgia Peach ($5) was delicious, but the Raspberry Mojito ($5) was definitely our favorite. The Strawberry Margarita ($5) is a close second though. Instead of using a fake sugary mix, the bartender actually muddles fresh strawberries with tequilla. It was delicious, refreshing, and surprisingly strong- you'll definitely feel a little buzzed after just one.

The bartender was also super friendly and service was quick.

What more could you want for happy hour?

Good as a lounge and place for drinks and music. As a restaurant, it's a bit overpriced for what you get. Small dishes in an attempt on presentation that leaves your stomach growling for more! The Ahi Tuna tasted pretty decent, though, although the sauce that accompanied it was a bit too salty. Excellent decor inside the restaurant, though, with red being the dominant color as it's screaming Fahrenheit! Friendly staff and bartenders. Come for the "night out" but not for the "dine in!"

This past Saturday we tried out the Chef's Table.  Chef Christopher prepared the most amazing "Tour around California" for our 8-course meal set up specifically for us.

From the start of the amuse bouche, it was clear this dinner was going to be nothing less than spectacular.  Each course was personally delivered by Chef Christopher with an introduction to each course.  He gave details to the level of where the food was from to his preparation of it.

I was amazed when I received a call from him the day before to go over the specifics to our dinner.  He asked about allergies or food dislikes.  He took into account our needs and specialized a dinner for us.

As each course arrived, it was another level of show stopping with flavor and presentation that came to the table.

Chef Christopher is a talent and genius with food.  We thought his regular menu was terrific, but he so showed his skills and abilities with his Chef's Table.

    It's a must do!!!

I liked the food...everyone in my party said it was terrific but the service left something to be desired (sorry fellas...this cost you a star).  It might be a little pricey for what you get but it's got great atmosphere and a classy-urban feeling.  I would go here again...hopefully the service will improve so this place can become a local hotspot.  It certainly has the potential!

are you looking for a fantastic place to have an amazing meal and night out?  this isn't it.  i had a friend who is a concierge in downtown san jose make a reservation for me.  it was for tonight.  friday night at 9:30 pm.  i called earlier today to confirm the reservation and was told everything was fine and that they were looking forward to having us.  due to the rain we were held up in traffic so we called to let them know that we were running late but would arrive about 10-15 mintues behind schedule and the hostess told me that it was fine, that their other 9:30 reservation had just called and said the same thing. hearing that, i thought... oh good!   we arrived and parked in the parking garage.  we walked over to the restaurant where we were greeted by a bouncer that held us on the street side of the velvet rope while he went inside to "check" on our reservation.  in the rain.  when he comes back he lets us in past the rope but made us wait for someone to come out and talk to us.  the "manager" comes out and tells us they had a "buy out" event that ran over and that they wouldn't be able to accomodate us tonight.  WTF???  i called not once but twice to confirm.  they had my phone number.  they could have called me.  they could have told me there was a problem when i called to say i was running late.  did that happen?  no. and i was left scrambling to find a restaurant at 10 pm on a friday night in downtown san jose. oh yeah... and to add insult to injury, we had to pay $5.00 for 12 minutes of parking.

We had a http://restaurant.com certificate so my husband and I went here for dinner on a Friday night. It was early-ish and still in restaurant mode, certainly not lounge/club mode.

When I had purchased the certificate, there were several vegan options on the menu. However, by the time we arrived to use our certificate, the menu had changed and this was no longer the case. I assumed I would be stuck with a plate of iceberg lettuce.

This was SO not the case. The hostess spoke with the chef and he actually came out to talk to me about what he could make. He was willing to make me anything I wanted. When I asked what he recommended, he said he would make me a vegan version of the gnocchi they have on the menu. He was actually going to go back in the kitchen and hand make me some fresh pasta! Wow! He also made a great vegan pesto to go with it.

I've never received such great vegan food on the fly like that. Kudos to the chef for actually using cooking skills to whip me up a great dish, instead of leaving me with a boring salad and a baked potato like so many others do.

I went to Farenheit on a Dishcrawl, so I can't rate the whole bar/lounge/restaurant experience, but I can rate the food. It was frickin delicious and we had so much fun during our very short time here! A lot of that was due to the new (like brand spankin' new) chef. But more on him later.

I had the Orchid Salad, Crusted Mahi & a Lamb Curry type of thing.
The Orchid Salad: Unique! Crispy basil with an orchid flower and dressing. The orchid was certainly edible (and had a sweet, almost agave flavor to it) and was set off nicely by the savory quality of the basil
The Lamb Curry: It was tasty. Nothing I would write home about, but the chef definitely like to play flavors against each other (spicy balanced by sweet, etc) and showcased it in this dish.
The Crusted Mahi: I. DIE. SO. DELICIOUS. I normally don't even like fish. That's how delicious this was. 'Nuff said.

I really enjoyed the demonstrations the new chef, Chris Graze, did (I know this is something unique to Dishcrawl, but I have to rave - read on!) It's so refreshing to see someone who is so enthusiastic about their job, and he talked us through the food as he made it, pointing out that no dish has more than 5 ingredients b/c he wants to showcase the quality of the locally-sourced foods he cooks. Love it!

Can't vouch for the strength/tastiness of the cocktails, but some of our fellow crawlers had them and said they were yummy.

Can't wait to come back and have dinner in a non-dishcrawl fashion. Normally, I wouldn't have even come in here; based on the outside presentation & decor as you walk in, I would have guessed it to be WAY out of my price range for a night out. What a pleasant surprise to find it priced in the realm of mere mortals ;)

I have high hopes for you Farenheit.

Some people say that this restaurant is a place to meet people to get laid or to get laid...

True to both, depending on what your purpose is to be coming here. I have been to Fahrenheit about 5 times and it's always been during the night, so this review is plainly for Fahrenheit night life.

For me, Fahrenheit is an ultra-hip restaurant/lounge which I really fancy because of basically how it presents itself.

Very chic and classy interior with a few more secluded seating for private parties, but not too far from the bar or the dance floor. I admire the darker lighting during the night (makes my makeup look more in-depth = dramatic).

Why do I go to Fahrenheit?

"I came to dance, dance, dance, dance. I hit the floor cuz that's my plan, plan, plan, plan. I'm wearin' all my favorite brands, brands, brands, brands....and it goes on and on and onnnnn..."

This joint plays the best hit mashups, if you ask me. The dance floor is pretty well-sized and the crowd here isn't crazy or porn-ish. Hehe. As a person who simply has a huge love for dancing, Farhrenheit does it for me.

I don't like coming here during the weekend because it gets too much packed, I cannot proceed with my agenda. Booty-shaking isn't really possible during weekends...but finding someone to get laid with or meet someone may be less difficult during these nights.

I'd give them 5 stars but certain bartenders can be pretty snobbish...or red neck! One time, a lady bartended almost started throwing me alcohol trivia questions after I ordered a Ketel One martini with a splash of vermouth... Uh, if I wanted to join a gameshow, I would've worn a longer skirt?

Plus talk about $3 drinks, and two drinks for the price of one! This deal really impressed me. Offer good until midnight. Not sure if this shindig is also effective on weekends.

There hasn't been a time where I didn't enjoy my Fahrenheit events. They have bottle service that is pretty reasonable and they won't cheat you on your bill when the staff thinks every single one of you cannot spell your names from being so wasted already.

The bathrooms are pretty well-maintained too and they sometimes would have attendants in the loo. I think this is cool.

Can't wait to go back...one of these weeknights.

Dear Owner/Manager, Please DO NOT ADVERTISE online if you do not have a late Happy Hour on Thursdays!!!!!!! You are making late happy hour customers mad!!!! Please do not disclose online what you don't have or else

My boyfriend & I went to Fahrenheit last Thursday night. I had checked online for hours to see of a late happy hour place in San Jose downtown and obviously this is one of a late happy hour restaurants...It says happy hour from 10-midnight...so we got here a little bit after 10pm...."heeeck noooo!" bull shit! No food, no happy hour. No special events at all. Just a regular night club with bouncers outside checking ID. One thing I DISLIKE is that we asked two different employees if they have Happy hour and both said no. They did not inform us of any drink specials...even tho it specifically stated online they have specials :(

The bouncer told my bf & I, they don't charge until after 11pm. And then the hostest asked us if we were on the guestlist and I told her no. But we got in for free anyways...weird, why do you ask us if we're on the guestlist when it's free before 11pm????!!! There was another side to the lounge and yeah it looks plush. But It was mainly empty that night. Most of the people just hung out at the bar and danced on the tiny dancy floor by the DJ area.

My boyfriend wanted a red bull and the snobby lady bartender said "sorry we ran out, we won't have it until 10 minutes!!!!" stuppppid!!! You just opened the night club for dancing and you ran out already with barely no people???!! Oh and not only that...the same lady bartender was making this customer's drink...while she was shaking the mixer...one of the ice cube came flying out and landed on the customer's hand or something. The bartender saw that and giggled....she took the ice cube and said sorry. Yea accidents happens.

This place sucks! We should've came during their regular happy hour from 5-7. Now that I think of it...I wonder if theres even a happy hour during those hours. The only thing that's cool about it is the interior and yes, Jones Baker did a good job renovating the place. Aye yai yai...sorry but gotta pass on this and go somewhere else for late happy hour...

I had 1 really good dish here, the crust mahi-- the sides wasn't good but the mahi was perfect.

happy hour here is really confusing cause sometimes it ends at 11 or 12 and the bartenders don't even know. so my boyfriends 5 dollar shot turned into 10 dollars. --- buzz kill right?

the music they play here is like old school stuff.

Fahrenheit is a restaurant that turns into a lounge on weekend evenings after 10pm. I had dinner here with a couple friends on a Saturday night, and we decided to stay for dancing afterwards. We ordered the halibut, sea bass, duck, and garlic noodles. My favorite dish was the halibut. It came with sides of veggies and potatoes and everything was perfectly cooked. The only complaint I have is drinks are slightly weak when ordered to the table. They make them stronger at the bar, which I sadly figured out near the end of the night. The lounge was full of people by 11. The DJ played top 40/hip hop mixes pretty much all night. Overall, it's a nice spot to grab din and do some dancing. Will be back next time I'm in the area!

Having been here several times now, I have a mixed feeling about the place.

Likes: catered to the most sophisticated crowd.  Friendly staff and bartenders. Happy hour prices.  The different theme events (Partyoke!). The sofa's and seats.

    Dislikes: Food, music

Gripe: your staff knows nothing about what is going on.  There was an event recently about free hor dourves and no one knew anything about it.  Also for not presenting them at the set time scheduled on the flyer.   Past events I've been to, the same thing happened. Clueless.

The music has been different from 90's, top hits, etc etc.

Service was great bartenders were friendly and our cocktail waitress mace was awesum. The section we were seated in was ultra private just what we wanted and the crowd for saturday night was decent. I would woulddefinitely go back.

I love the set up of this establishment. It's a restaurant, lounge and club and even during club hours you can still enjoy the lounge-setting of the club. There is adequate parking in close proximity to the venue.

I hosted my boyfriend's surprise birthday party here and the owner, Eric, and the rest of his staff were very helpful, easy-going, and professional. Emails and phone calls were returned promptly and with great detail to my questions. The waitress and servers eagerly served us with outstanding customer service and great attitudes.

Fahrenheit is more than a restaurant and lounge to me now because at the surprise birthday party my boyfriend proposed to me! The staff were great at ensuring the video I had played on time and the bottle of champagne was popped at the exact moment of screaming surprise!

If you want a location and a great group of people to help your special VIP event go smooth, choose Fahrenheit!

I went here for dinner a few years back for a birthday. I remember our waitress was nice enough to take pictures and (being an ex-waitress myself) I know how annoying it is to have to take photos of your guests. But she was friendly and willing. So she got a good tip from that.

The food is pricey, but it's still good. We tried the dungeness crab cakes, basil bruschetta, ribeye and lamb. All were good.

It has been a long time since I have been THIS surprised by a venue I thought I knew well.  Like most people, I associate Fahrenheit with the nightlife.  I have dismissed the word "restaurant" from the title, and only focused on the "lounge" part.

Some friends took me out for a belated birthday dinner celebration, and I was so impressed that I will have to come back to make sure it wasn't a fluke!  I ordered the Lychee Martini (soo yummy), and the Hoisin BBQ Ribs with a side of jasmin rice.  It was so tasty!  The other big news is that after shying away from lamb for ten years, I gave the Black Pepper Rack of Lamb a try and loved it!  As if I hadn't already eaten enough, the girls surprised me with an order of the Chocolate Decadence.  OH.MY.GOSH.  Please, please, please do yourself a favor and get this the next time you drop in to Fahrenheit.

Yay!  I am a fan, and I'll be back.

Came here for the restaurant week prix fixe menu.

Unfortunately, my friend wanted most of the same things as I did, so we didn't get to try much variety. We got the crab cake and tuna tartare appetizers. The tartare was mediocre--the combination of tuna, corn, and avocado was not very flavorful. But the crabcake was much better (and luckily it was mine :P). The orange aioli sauce topped it off really well. For the main course we both got the filet mignon. Medium rare wasn't too red--the inside was perfectly pink and the edges were maybe even a little too well-done in some places. With the butter and garlic mashed potatoes, though, it tasted good. And dessert of course was amazing. How can you go wrong with pralines and cream gelato?

Not a bad meal for $35/person. Definitely left full and satisfied. The lounge itself looks pretty cracking too, though with a slightly older crowd.

To top the night off, my friend and I each had a Kiss of Death shooter (everclear & pineapple juice). I don't think it's strong enough to limit 1 per customer...

I came here with my family for a special occasion and it just so happened to be Silicon Valley Restaurant Week. 3 course meal for $35. Woottt!!!!

So I ended up getting the 3 course meal and it was okay.  I'm pretty happy with my choice.

I got the green apple and pear salad.  That wasn't too bad, but it wasn't special.  The filet mignon was much bigger than I expected and it was pretty tasty too!  I was disappointed by the mashed potatoes, which was one of the reasons why I wanted to get the filet mignon. I'm pretty sure they are the boxed kind or something and it wasn't even hot when I ate them... BUT the mixed vegetables that come with it kinda make up for it cause they are pretty fresh =).

The Chocolate decadence cake was yummy, but I don't think it was made fresh.  It makes me want more cake though to think about it...=)

They also had very yummy mango sorbet!!! And they had this ice cream Yin Yang thing that looked very interesting! =D If I go back, I would get the rack of lambs.  I had a taste of my brother's and it was yummy! I think it's the first time I've ever had lambs and it was a pretty good experience =D.

The service is friendly too =).

We came here on a Friday night for a dinner and lounging afterwards. I didn't have high expectations of the food since lounges are not notorious for serving the best dishes. I ordered the garlic noodles with prawns and was pleasantly surprised with the taste! It was very flavorful with just a little hint of sweetness. The prawns were big and cooked just right too! The combo fries as a side were also very good. The dish comes with a few different dipping sauce and 3 types of fries: regular potato, sweet potato and taro. The taro fries didn't have much of a taste to it so next time, I'd ask for extra sweet potato fries instead of taro.

I also liked the fact that happy hour was from 9pm-12am. I think it was happy hour during that time because it was a special event that night so you might want to call to find out what regular happy hour times are. We were able to order a variety of drinks for only $5 a piece! Pretty good deal if you ask me.  I wouldn't mind going back for more garlic noodles and more drinks during their happy hour.

    *FOOD review*

I'm usually not a big fan of Asian fusion food, but this place has a great menu. I saw a table next to us order the burgers and the plates were HUGE and scrumptious looking.

This is odd to say but I really love their fries... a mix of potato, sweet potato, and taro fries! I am SO coming back here during happy hour for some drinks and their delicious fries!

The food has great presentation for what it is, and everything we had tasted really good. Service was excellent, but pretty much only because the place was really dead at the time.

The appearance of the place is pretty sweet - this was actually my first time in here. The seats on the booths look pretty beat up, but otherwise, the place is not too shabby.

    Reviewing Fahrenheit Restaurant for dinner:
My friend and I decided to have dinner in dtwn SJ before watching a comedy show and chose Fahrenheit after finding a $25 coupon on http://Restaurant.com for $3.00.  We won't come back to have dinner here again. Maybe Happy Hour. The menu sounded good, the presentation was nice, the service was great but the cooking was amateur.

Seared Scallops: I should have sent this back to the kitchen, but I didn't want anything to happen to the rest of my dinner. $10 and it was the size of a nickel! When the waiter set it on the table I couldn't  hold my tongue when I said "Whoa those are hella small!" The waiter felt bad.  It was also over cooked.

Mandarin Duck breast: Tasty, but the sauce on the plate wasn't reduced enough. I could still taste the alcohol from the Grand Mar.The baby bok choy tasted burnt like they were grilled.

Cabernet Skirt Steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, but nothing special with the rest of the dish.

I'm still trying to find a really good New American restaurant in Dtwn. San Jose. The hunt goes on.

I recently hosted a rehearsal dinner at Fahrenheit and they did a superb job.  All the entrees received rave reviews and the service was great.  I dealt with all three members of the management team over several months are all were extremely helpful and accommodating.  As mother of the groom, I wanted everything to be wonderful and it was.  Thank you Eric, Danny, John, and the servers for a great dinner.

This place is better than I remembered. The food wasn't amazing but still pretty acceptable considering this place is really more of a lounge than a restaurant. Food is just around 3 stars I would say. The venue itself is closer to 4 stars.

Both the beef crisp and the ahi tuna appetizers were decent. The bread for bruschetta was too hard. For entree the skirt steak has pretty good flavor and was reasonably tender for this cut. I wasn't too fond of the honey chilli chicken. I found the sauce too sweet and lacks complexity.

I came here for a private dinner and after party so I can't really comment on how the normal club scene is. We have good female:male ratio and tons of pretty girls so it was good fun =P The music was a bit weak that night. I think the DJ ran into some technical issues. The bartender and waitstaff were friendly and efficient.
