I came here with a friend for a little girls pampering event.  We both got spa pedis, and she got a brow wax.  The only reason I am not giving them 1 star is because my friends brows looked great, and we did not have to wait.

They did not turn on my massage chair, which is not a huge deal, but just an indicator of the general customer care.

My pedicure:  non-interactive, rushed, neglected to massage well, and didn't put enough polish.  It just felt like they were only going through the motions, and even just the motions were sub-par.

The whole thing was too expensive.  I don't mind a good cheapie pedi.  But this was $35 dollars for 20 minutes of nothing special.

When its in Los Altos you expect it to be expensive, but you expect it to be nice.  What I did not expect was to be disappointed.

I used to come here for pedicures and waxing.  The pedicures were fine. The waxing started off fine and deteriorated into horrendous.  I brought a friend here for eyebrow waxing and the owner (who did the waxing) tore off her SKIN.  When it was obvious that there was a problem due to the REDness factor, she gave her a small bottle of gel solution to help with the stinging.  She didn't even apologize and my friend still paid.  My friend was so pissed because it scabbed and looked so awful for an entire week afterwards.  You would have thought I would have stopped getting my waxing here after witnessing  that...but I'm a slow learner.  So I went in for a bikini wax, and they actually broke capillaries!!  My skin was bruised immediately after the wax and when I angrily pointed this out to the owner, she didn't apologize but brushed it off and said, "Don't worry - it wll go away".  Well, as you can imagine, it did go away and so did I.  I've had waxing done for over 10 years and nothing like what she did has ever happened before or since.

Update:
Originally gave 4 stars, but am removing one.  Still like the place, but my pedicures didn't last very long, especially given the price.  I don't know about you, but my pedicures usually last about 2 months before the polish starts looking frayed around the edges when I do it myself.

Have been here twice so far, both times with a friend and we got side-by-side pedicures.  The place seemed clean, the ladies that work there are friendly.  It's one of those no-frills nail places, not very "spa" like, but I noticed that it was always packed so decided to try them out.

They carry OPI polish and I would rate both my pedicures about 3.5 out of 5 stars, but will give them a 4 overall since they were so nice.  They did a good job on my toes, not great, but solid.  I thought they were a bit pricey (spa pedicure was $30) consider the no-frills atmosphere, but since they're in downtown Los Altos, figured I was helping them pay the rent.
