As a man I always feel like I have to hide that I'm going to go get my eyebrows done, so whenever I make an appointment over the phone I like to whisper or say it in a way that won't let others know what I'm doing.
That being said, she did a great job. Nice studio and reasonably priced. I didn't realize how bad I had let my brows get until I saw how good they looked after.
Also the website for the business, at least as of the date of this review, has an old address, when you call you'll get the new one. Or just use the one here on yelp.
We discussed the possibility of keeping a bottle of whiskey on hand to treat some of the pain, hopefully this will be on of the forthcoming additions.
And for search term's sakes: men's eyebrows. No review in the city has that search term yet, so I'll say it again, but with improper punctuation, mens eyebrows. -

Kim was the first person, ever, to tame my brows. And I am soooo thankful! She is quick, gentle, and doesn't need direction. Her prices may be higher than other salons, but that's the price of beauty! Try an eyelash perm, you'll be hooked!

I didn't die for my eyebrows. They kind of made me want to die.
I came in and got cleaned up and was told that I desperately needed to grow out my eyebrows in many different areas. I obliged, and let them grow out for a few weeks (which, if you know me, understand how ridiculous of a feat this was.. but I desperately wanted them to look amazing). So I come in a few weeks later and got cleaned up and was told to grow them out even more. Again, I obliged, because I trusted that the end result would be amazing. Well... My next appointment, which I had completely been looking forward to for a substantial amount of time, and had been putting all my eyebrow wishes and hopes and dreams on was less than amazing. In fact, it kinda sucked.
It's not that she did a bad job at waxing or tweezing. It's not that she had bad manners.. She was actually extremely nice and friendly and easy to talk to. It's just that SHE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH MY EYEBROWS. She simply cleaned them up a bit and they were 2 thick caterpillars just sitting on my forehead looking at me in the mirror and laughing.
I feel that for the price I was charged the service wasn't what I expected and I was utterly disappointed because after I grew my eyebrows out for so goshdarn long I believed I'd be walking out looking like Megan Fox and ended up looking like a Brooke Shields reject. Maybe if you aren't middle eastern this place may work better for you?
And for the record, my eyebrows definitely have the potential to be amazing. I ended up finding a place in the southbay for about $30 less that gave me the M. Fox brows and I couldn't be happier. -

Went back and got the permanent brows. The process was relatively painless (she applied ample numbing cream) and my brows are perfect - literally perfect.
She does it in two sessions, booked a month apart. The first session was spent getting the initial color on and the shape worked out. Luckily my eyebrows are naturally very shapely, so she was able to deposit the color without having to first draw on a pattern.
FYI, she performs the "tattoo" with a hand tool. Nothing too painful, but you'll be grateful for the numbing cream and she's happy to use more once the skin breaks (too graphic?).
The second session is devoted to making sure your brows are perfect. She takes the time to fill in any areas that may have faded and checks in to see if you have any requests.
I no longer have to fill my brows in every day - that's magical in and of itself. A couple hours (over two sessions) of mild discomfort and a few bills are well worth the time I'm saving and the beauty of having eyebrows that actually show up.
Thanks, Kimberly!1 Previous Review: Show all »

For some reason I'm blessed with long eyelashes, which for some reason is not part of the East Asian gene (seriously what's up with that). However they're pointing down. Bummer.
Anyways, I went for eyebrow + lash perm service. I forgot what my eyebrows looked like right after the wax because I have a terrible memory. But my eyelashes still faintly curl and it's been 2 1/2 months. Usually in this other place where I got my perm from in the past, the curl only lasts for 1 to 1 1/2 months tops. The curl isn't sky-high, more natural looking. Which is totally fine by me, especially since it lasts longer.
I wish the normal price isn't so high ($65). Great job though! -

I've been coming here for about a year for eyelash tints and brow shaping. They do a great job with both. It's easiest to get appointments on Mondays and Tuesdays.
There are three reasons it's not 5 stars:
1) They don't take American Express. You can't be a high end salon and not take Amex! It's a pain to be dropping $60 on services and not be able to use my Amex.
2) I stopped getting my brows done here because it's $40!!! For $10, I can get them threaded and it's faster, less painful, and looks the same to me.
3) I recently had someone who was new there do my eyelashes and the dye kinda went everywhere and stung even more than usual. I know they're short-staffed, but I've come to expect a high level of service here and I was a bit disappointed that time.
Nevertheless, I remain a regular customer and they're great. -

Sad to report that I had a very unpleasant experience at EBTDF. After being recommended here by a longtime user, I left with a large painful wound on my left eyebrow.
I had never had my eyebrows waxed before (of which I informed the waxer). I mentioned to Anastasia that I used retinol, but I stated off-hand that I didn't think it would be a problem because it was over-the-counter and not prescription.
Anastasia did not chime in at this point to inform me that over-the-counter retinol could be just as much of a problem. I then had to follow up and ask, what was the big deal with prescription retinol. Anastasia stated it could result in some "skin lifting." But again didn't warn me that the same result could occur with over-the-counter retinol. Nor did she inform me that "skin lifting" means your skin being ripped off. She stated, just to be safe, she would try a small strip first.
15 minutes later, the underside of my left eyebrow had a gaping whole about 2 inches long (I will post a picture). It was so embarrassing - everyone kept asking me what happened, as it was too large/deep to be covered by make-up.
Everything was puffy and red when I left, so I didn't realize how bad it was and paid the full amount, plus a 20% tip. The longtime user who recommended me contacted the owner and explained the situation, but the complaint when unanswered and my check was cashed.
Clearly, I wouldn't go here again. I went here because I had never had my eyebrows waxed before and thought EBTDF would steer me in the right direction. I would have expected this from a cheap waxing place, but not a specialty boutique. -

I saw Anastasia today for a long overdue brow shaping. She did an amazing job! I was a bit apprehensive since I just moved to San Francisco from L.A. and had never been to this spa before.
It was the positive Yelp reviews and swift call back that made me give it a shot. Anastasia is very talented, professional, and a fun to chat with.
Thanks Anastasia! You have yourself a new regular! -

Eyebrows to die for? I think its more appropriate to say Eyebrows I could do without.
I don't know how Ive lived the past 25 years without realizing the utter importance of brow maintenance until I visited this pretentious Brow Spa. When I showed up for my appointment i was directed to lay down on a table....um OK. Then my brows were studied by the owner and she proceeded to lecture me about how my brows were so out of whack, and how important it is to have the right shape, and blah blah blah. I appreciate her input and she advised we not do anything since I needed to grow them out.
Alright, I think and hop off the bed. As I'm about to leave, passing by the front desk assuming I wouldn't have to pay since she didn't do ANYTHING. I was asked to shelve over like $35!!!
Reluctantly I paid the $. I left telling myself that this woman seems to know what shes doing and I should go back. So, I did. 4 weeks of a furry brow I come back for a waxing. Well, after she performed her "to die for" brows I checked out the results in a hand mirror. I was shocked, they were skinnier and thinner then they were when I came in the first place!!! They looked awful! $35 poorer and eyebrows that looked drawn on :(
No thanks! -

I really....really wanted to like this eyebrow place, but after giving it 2 chances I realized we weren't made for each other.
I went in to see Kim for my eyebrows and needless to say as soon as I got home I attempted to "fix" what I didn't like with what she did to my brows.
I went in a second time, just to make sure she wasn't having an "off" day on my first visit. I was her first appointment of the day and she was 10 minutes late. She shaped my brows and when I asked her to please fix certain things she looked up at the clock, huffed and told me to lay back down.
First of all, I wasn't the one that showed up late to my appointment and second of all, I, as the client should be able to say what I don't like with the service, I mean, I am paying you, right??
To add insult to injury, I went into another "day spa" later that day and the aesthetician asked me if I wanted my eyebrows done...literally just hours after getting my brows done at Eyebrows to die for. -

1st visit - Christina spent 15 minutes manicuring my over ruly brows to perfection. *singing praise*
2nd visit - Christina did as I requested and followed my natural line. Another perfect visit. *no bangs for me today*
3rd visit - I got a facial. The smell of the facial mask was sensuous and delicious. I just wanted to lick the mask right off my face. Darn. My tongue isn't long enough.
After the facial, my face felt AMAZING. I felt like that girl in the old Sea Breeze commercial. Sh!t...I just dated myself. Oh well. Anyways, my eyebrows were perfect again. *skipping home*
4th visit - WTF? Where are my eyebrows? I swear they were there 15 minutes ago. Now, I see a very thin piece of yarn snaking smoothly above each eye! I didn't want this, I didn't want this, I DIDN'T WANT THIS! Somebody else might want this, but NOT ME. *tears*
Now, this may have been my fault. On my 4th visit I didn't explain to Christina to follow my natural line and that I'm proud of my full eyebrows when waxed and manicured to plucked perfection. I just assumed that she took notes during my previous visits and we established a relationship. I mean, geez, she told me all about her dogs and how they were like her children. I thought we connected...
I would go back there because Christina is super sweet, a lovely conversationist, gives great facials, and does good eyebrows. (Just tell her how you like it.) But, I moved...so now, I'm trying to find that perfect place to feel the sting of wax pulled off my face for perfect manicured eyebrows.

Tried this place out last year after all the raved reviews from Yelpers and finally decided to splurge on my brows. Made my first appointment with Kimberly and my over all experience was nice, but I didn't notice much of difference from my $9 Asian lady job. With this economy, I think I'm sticking with my Asian lady for now.
I think this is a great place for people who have brushy brows and not for people like me. No thanks to my genetic problem of lacking hair all over the place, great for the lack of leg shaving time, but the place that suffers most is my brows. Ugh. Yeah, ladies, you know you can look look sickly when you have a few scattered hair above your eyes that makes "brows" absent-like. I mean all all I wanted was thick healthy brows, not to mention lush lashes.
I recently learned of the new FDA approved product to help promote lashes and brows. I will have to order a bottle or two and religiously follow it.
Once I get bushy up there, I will be back and give it an updated review. -

Initially, I was just going to go to the nail salon around the corner and get my brow hair ripped off by the nail tech who goes by the name of "Lady Goldfingers" for $10, but then reality hit and I decided that I like my brows to grow naturally, rather than have to Sharpie them on every morning. Hence, my trip to the lovely Eyebrows to Die For salon.
I have to admit that I was a little wary of this place just beause of the name. Eyebrows to Die For? Uhh...creepy and slightly extreme. But yelp reviews rarely lie and I found myself laying down listening to the smooth sounds of some french crooner while Anastasia worked wonders on my brows. Now, I don't have any unruly Bert & Ernie shit going on up there, but some basic shaping and clean-up was in order. She really spent her time paying attention to what I needed and didn't rush through the process in order to get me out the door. She suggested where I should let more grow and the "growth cycles" of my hair. I don't know about the technicalities of my eyebrow hair, but she's en expert, so ya...let's roll with this.
Best $35 every spent since I am so happy with the look! Very professional and great salon. -

I read all the great reviews on here and was so excited to find a place that was going to make my eyebrows incredible... I was SO dissappointed. I didn't have Kimberly, but had another woman who was totally nice, but was telling me about some blonde hairs on my eyebrows that 1. I didn't care about and 2. I have NEVER had anyone say anything about them before- why is she making such a big deal about invisible hairs now?
Anyway, she took forever to do "Not a lot" and told me not to touch my brows for a month, to "grow them out." Now, I'm not a mad plucker- nor am I sporting pencil-thin brows... but seriously, I came to have my eyebrows look better, not to grow them out and have them look worse!
After all the money, time and annoyance, I wasn't in love with my brows and am certainly not in love with the place. Not at all worth going back to- I'll stick with Benefit, I should have never left. -

Ok, so I took up the yelp advise I was given and finally tried Kim out this morning. She was doing a special day (maybe her last at this location) in Los Altos so it was handy for me since I was visiting down there. She was really nice about fitting me in and she isn't fake or annoying and I generally liked that she was down to earth and not pretentious. Her prices are high (I paid $28 for my pretty well maintained brows plus a little tip since she did such a fantastic job) but she listens and interprets and is very thorough. It does take a long time--I spent at least half an hour with her, and though that takes up more of my time I feel OK with the price since she put so much time into it. They're a little smaller than I would have liked now but the shape is so much better that I don't really care.
UPDATE: i've removed one star. why? because though the shape was very good and I was happy, i found that the growing out process was quite hard. it was very difficult to keep the shape with plucking because of the way they were done. it was hard to tell which hairs were just short and which ones needed to be removed, even when i kept up on it almost daily. i've had brow jobs before where i've been very happy and was also able to maintain them for at least 6 months afterwards. not so with these, and sadly, i can't afford to go very often.
UPDATE AGAIN: Her new space is great and I love that she does her own booking and as a result I have never had to wait when I arrive, but the prices are still pricey. I'd give her 4 1/2 if I could, and would still recommend Kimberly over anyone else in the bay area for brows.
Also, sorry Kim, I didn't realize that I *was* the one that removed a star! -

Hello World, Eyebrows to Die For does more than just Eyebrows!
I recently got my eyelashes tinted and curled by Anastasia, and I must say...They look amazing! So many people have been commenting on how I look "different" but they can't put their finger on it. Of course, I usually wouldn't give up my secret, but I am here to tell every woman out there that the "commercial eyelash" is NOT an urban legend. Your eyelashes, too, can be curled to Penelope Cruz perfection- even when hitting the snooze button.
Don't believe me? Try it for your self! You won't be disappointed.Listed in: Beautiful Me

I needed some fun makeup to help ease the pain of another birthday, so I headed to one of my favorite makeup counters. I walked out with a plethora of product and advice to grow out my eyebrows for a few weeks.
I've been addicted to the tweezers for years now and decided to heed the advice of the makeup professional and retire them for eight weeks.
Thanks to Yelp, I found Eyebrows To Die For and decided to give them a try.
Boy, am I glad I did! Anastasia spent a long time on my brows, gave me a great brow/temple massage and a half hour later I walked out feeling relaxed and well groomed.
I'm still enjoying my new and improved, non-tweezed brows and am scheduled to go back next week. I can't wait! -

So, I yelped, I tried, and I was not disappointed.
First off, I am not really the female wooly mammoth type, so my brows aren't out of control. But I did get them done for the first time EVER--yeah, I'm a virgin--by Christina. She was gentle, fast and symmetrical. My friends say I look more polished. I think so too.
Christina also did a nice lash tint, and she even got the teensy lashes in the corners just the right shade of blue-black. (FYI to the Blondies out there--this is the ticket to looking doe-eyed--blue black lash tints!)
Minus one star for the priciness and...CASH OR CHECK ONLY.
I'll be back. -

I discovered Eyebrows To Die For on http://TownHog.com, using a voucher that was $15 for $30 worth of services.
I initially scheduled an eyelash curl/tint but ended up getting my eyebrows done as well. Kimberly was very knowledgeable, talking me through each step of the procedure and calming any nerves that I may have had. She was also very gentle and very professional the entire time.
After a bad eyebrow experience a few years ago, I have since stuck with an at-home job. Kimberly explained to me that she could let them grow out while also shaping them at the same time and get them back to where they used to be. Since she did such a great job with the lashes, I figured I would give it a shot, and I'm glad I did! They look wonderful and I already booked my next appointment.
I absolutely recommend Kimberly and Eyebrows To Die For. It was a great experience and thanks to http://TownHog.com, I found a great new spot in SF! -

Kim is the best facial visionary that there is, simply put.
Being Italian, it's difficult sometimes knowing that although I was born with one eyebrow, I needed two. And I didn't want that 1940s Joan Crawford arch that the little cheap places in San Francisco give.
Kim knows how to make your eyebrows fit your facial structure. She's the best, and has been doing mine for four years now, until I moved too far away to visit.
TO MEN: Kim will give you TWO eyebrows. Women and men don't like to look at your unibrow and those straggly caterpillars crawling on your forehead. You should go. -
Review from Nikki M.
Kim is a real sweetheart and she's great at what she does.
I did a makeup trial with her beforemy wedding and she really listened to what I wanted and did a great job of doing it (especially because we were working in the dark!). A few weeks later I came back and she let me know some changes to the makeup she was thinking of and we discussed it more. I felt even more confident selecting someone who is putting such thought into my day. Kim then tweezed my eyebrows because i'm currently on scary accutane and she felt it was best to avoid even the gentle cold wax. They look probably the best they've looked and a big part of that is her suggestion to "tint" them so I don't have to put brow pencil on each morning. Hearts for that!
UPDATE: Kim did my makeup and the makeup of my three bridesmates for my wedding. She did an amazing job on the three of us who don't wear much makeup EVER, and even impressed the make-up obsessed one! She was on-time, ready to go, and got the job done fast. Everything looked amazing, check her out if you need a makeup artist, she is quite afforable as well!Listed in: Indie Wedding Planning in SF…, Girlie crap

I had a great experience with Christina. She spent around 15 minutes waxing and tweezing my brows into perfection. They look natural and lovely now.
I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but I usually end up flinching during the waxing and walking out a little red. Not this time! Maybe the wax was magic, but I barely felt a sting. I also liked the fact that I could leave knowing that I wouldn't scare any children with a strip of redness around my brows.
All in all, a very nice job. It was a bit pricey, but I'd probably splurge again if things got out of control. -

This is a review about Kimberly's associate, Christina. I was impressed by her work. She is probably the first esthetician who took the time to find out precisely what I wanted my brows to look like. She told me what she could in one appointment and also what she could do over several months. I paid $32 (but the price can vary). I'm thrilled with the results because my brows look flawless.
The studio was easy to find on Van Ness. It's small -- just a treatment room and waiting room. There's tea, chocolate, and lots of magazines.
And don't forget, they only accept payment by cash or check.Listed in: Temples of Serene Brows

Hmmm... I don't know why some reviews say her prices are high. I think she's pretty reasonable!
Kim makes miracles happen. This morning I awoke to a new face. Last night I got eyelash extensions. Can you believe that anyone would really do this? Yes, I sound crazy! I'm Asian ok? I've got, like no eyelashes! But, today is a new day and I can bat my lashes at anyone I want! They look and feel real. I thought they would feel like fake lashes and bother my eyes, but I keep forgetting that they are there - until I look in the mirror of course.
I recommend this to anyone. I love it! -

I have gotten both the eye lash perm as well as the infamous eye brows to die for by Kim, and have had incredible results on the many occasions I have gone to see Kim.
You can see some examples of her work directly on her site: http://www.eyebrowstod.../
I think Kim has a strong sense for shaping your brows to fit your face and to create the best 'frame' for your face through the brows. She spent time evaluating my (poor, measly brows) and gave me the arch shape that I was looking for!
I have always been pleased by the consultation and education she provides as well as the end results.
I would recommend trying out the lash perm, they give a strong lift to your lashes and add about a half inch to the length simply cuz they are curled up, permanently....well for as long as the perm lasts that is (roughly 3-4 weeks). I would say that as with most perms, toward the remaining week of the perm, the lashes do get a little frizzly. But a small price to pay for weeks of gorgeous lashes.
I definitely recommend this place, just be sure you ask for Kim. She is very professional and has talent and an 'eye' for making fabulous eyebrows! -

Kim Jones, the owner of the place is one of most sweetest gals you will ever meet. She is super friendly and down to earth and did a great job on my eyebrows. I also asked about their "Man-Wax" services, and they do offer them. Maybe I might do that next time.
But she definitely helped out a metrosexual man like myself. -

If living in LA but willing to travel to SF every 4-6 weeks with my husband to get our eyebrows done by Anastasia means that she's good- well, then she's fantastic!
I grew up in the bay area and that's when I started going to Anastasia (she came highly recommended) so you can imagine how upset I was when I realized I couldn't take her with me to LA- even though she would fit in my luggage- she's the tinniest, cutest thing! My eyebrows make my face, I get compliments on them all the time so, I had to figure out a way to continue my visits with Ana.
Thankfully, I was able to convince my husband (who had been going to some shishi Beverly Hills Salon for years) to come up to SF for a visit with me. He obviously fell in love with her (maybe a bit too much;) and now he's more committed than I am.
We make sure to get up to SF every 4-6 weeks, maybe 8 if we're super busy and Ana takes excellent care of us. Poor thing has to wax my husbands back but in all honesty she's always very pleasant and obviously loves what she does!
We even invited her to our wedding, she looked fabulous, and hooked me and all my girls up with sexy eyebrows! Not to mention my husband and the groomsmen jumping in on the eyebrow action, I think they were worse than the girls :)
A word for all of the comments regarding "letting your eyebrows grow out"- I thought they were crazy too but YOU HAVE TO TRUST THEM, THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS and they are only suggesting what they know will make you look your best! Be patient, I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised.
GO SEE ANASTASIA AND BRING YOUR MEN- She'll treat you both well and neither one of you will have ever looked better! -

After years of plucking my own eyebrows to save money, I realized that my eyebrows were uneven, overplucked, and outdated so it was time to see a professional. So, I found Kimberly Jones on Yelp and scheduled an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed.
Kim called me back that day and we scheduled an appointment within a week. Several months later I can see a huge difference - especially in photographs. One huge plus about this shop, aside from Kimberly being really good at her job and having a terrific bedside manner, is that parking is easy. The shop is right on Van Ness, and after seeing Kimberly for months, I can easily say that you don't have to plug the meter for more than 15 minutes because she is always on time.
Thank you, Kimberly! You have rescued my eyebrows - which makes a huge difference. You are a true artist! -

Christina did my brows. This was the first time I've gotten them shaped - which means there was waxing and then plucking and some scissoring. I had gone without plucking or anything for a few months so let some brow hair grow back. I wanted a natural look (hate when brows are pencil thin). After we were done it took a little while to get used to. Thought it was on the thinner side, but overall I'm happy with the job. I don't think anyone noticed (or they didn't make a comment) that my eyebrows looked different so maybe that means they looked natural after all...

I got my eyebrows done and also eyelash enhancement (permanent makeup).
First of all, Kimberly is very warm and friendly. This was a huge plus for me because it's important to feel relaxed and comfortable when someone is about to take a needle to your eye. She's accommodating and made me feel at ease--she gave me a comfy blanket when I started getting a little chilly and let me know exactly how the procedure works. I brought in a picture of the way I wanted my eyebrows to look and she actually paid attention to the picture, which also was a plus because a lot of other aestheticians feel like they know what's best for you and they disregard any pictures you might bring in.
The numbing creme worked well, and I could tell that Kim was relaxed and taking her time to make sure the shape was perfect.
The result was a PERFECTLY natural enhanced lash-line. I could NOT be more satisfied with the precision with which Kimberly got between my lashes--honestly, I don't think ANYONE could do it better. As for the eyebrows, Kimberly clearly has a refined aesthetic sense and gave my eyebrows a beautiful shape, adding a subtle arch that my natural brows don't really have.
The only criticism I have is that this place is VERY expensive (I did TONS of price comparison), but I suppose you get what you pay for! -
Review from Girly SF D.

I decided to check this place out based on some great reviews and some comments from friends that have been in for various services. My first appointment was for an eyebrow design. I have been wearing my eyebrows very thin and I have a longer face with high cheekbones so I like a more "glamorous" look. After having that look for a while, I decided it was time to shift to a more natural brow shape. I saw Kimberly for the first time and she was so gentle and knowledgeable about how the skin, the way the hair grows back, how to stimulate areas of the brow to grow and also I had a few pesky grey hairs in my brows that drove me crazy. We also ended up doing a brow tint which I had never tried before, most other salons or spas usually just ended up plucking the grey hairs, but I needed to retain those for my more "natural" shape I was going for.
Kimberly did an amazing job on my brows and over the course of a few months we worked together on a new shape and the growing in process. It was amazing and I LOVE her!!!! So I have now also become a new convert to the "lash curl" OMG!!!! How cool is this, I have long lashes, but they are very strait and point forward, now they are curled upward in a beautiful arc, and we did a lash tint for an extra umph! Can I say I have thrown away my mascara and lash curler ! It is great, no more mascara flakes under the eyes, I can rub my eyes if I really need to, and it is the best if you wear contacts. I have also now have been in for a few facials and love the appropriately named "porcelain" mask. My skin was so smooth and resurface. I love the product. OK well I can't say enough but I wanted to make sure I covered all the amazing "secrets" I have uncovered. -

I am OBSESSED with my eyebrows. Well, that is an understatement really. As vain and stupid as this sounds, nothing is more important to me than my brows. Having lived through years and years of uneven brows, different shapes etc., I have turned over my brows to Christina.
I get nothing but compliments wherever I go re: my brows. All the time, people ask me what are you doing, your brows look fantastic!
I am obsessed with my appointments, and will never, ever miss an appointment, even if I have to reschedule due to conflicting schedules. Christina listens to me, and does exactly what I want, each and every time.
If you struggle with your brows, I highly recommend a professional service, and I highly recommend the relaxing and professional services at Eyebrows to Die For. -

I've never had professional eyebrow "maintenance" although much needed. My brows were unmanageable and furly all my life - I've always tweezed them myself and penciled them in to cover my mistakes. Kim was very professional and I left feeling confident about my brows. Yay!

First, I'll admit I'm obsessed with my eyebrows. They are one of my best features. Second, I don't get dressed up to get my brows done. So I went to the salon looking casual, not dirty or sloppy, but definitely casual. Third, I happen to have good brows with the exception of having a small scar. Because they're very full I do need considerable waxing. Fourth, I went there a while back. I was searching for a new brow place when it occurred to me to write this review.
Kimberly did my brows, and they looked fine. The shape was good, and they weren't too thin. So the end results were good. Not great, but good.
With that said, the experience wasn't very good. I did not feel very comfortable in the salon. When I first met her, she gave me an up and down look. Again, I wasn't dressed up and I hadn't worn makeup, but really, do I need to sell myself to the person doing my brows? I was running errands in jeans and a t-shirt. After a very long session, much of which was Kimberly discussing herself and her salon while not necessarily working on my brows, I paid for the services.
I was raised that you don't tip a salon owner. Their tip is basically built into the pricing. However, I've noticed that people no longer seem to make this distinction. So I tipped. Kimberly made a big production out of taking the tip and placing it in the cash drawer. She did this in front of her employee. It made me feel embarrassed and very uncomfortable. So I'm giving 4 stars for good brows and taking 2 away for being unprofessional. -

I called and thought I'd need to make a reservation weeks in advance, but Anastasia was able to take me in that day, 30 mins after I called.
The facility was beautiful and parking was easy to find. Anastasia was super sweet and told me exactly what would be best for my brows. She also listened to my concerns and what I wanted and didn't want done with them.
Usually waxing and plucking hurt quite a bit for me, but honestly this was the least painful it has ever been. It is a bit pricey for me though. But totally worth it especially since I usually go get my brows done once every two months.
I will be back soon! Definately recommend this place! -

Anastasia did my eyebrows, They were really bad, first off I used to shave them and they would never grow back, then had them tattooed
on, WHAT A MISTAKE, I finally just stopped tweezing and shaving them for about two weeks. I cant believe what a great job Anastasia did, I wish I could've had her doing my brows years ago, She shaped them perfect for my face, I have hair where I never thought hair would grow again, she asked me to be patient and it would, and it did. I am 110% satisfied with my eyebrows now, no more hiding them with my bangs or over sized sun glasses. Anastasia, you are an eyebrow saver! Thank you.... -

This is the best place EVER. Kim is a true artist and knows exactly what kind of eyebrow shape and makeup looks good on you. The lash perm is divine, the waxes are gentle, and Kim is an incredible entrepreneur and person!

Upon the recommendation of someone on the yelp message board, i had to try out this so-called anastasia of the west coast. You see, i had a terrible waxing job when i was 16, and then continued to overpluck my eyebrows trying to fix it myself, and now they wont grow back. So i needed major help. like really major help. contemplated seeing if they did hair implants for eyebrows even. BUT after my visit to see Kimberly Jones last night, I have to say that yes... she is very talented. My eyebrows are actually tolerable now. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it. http://www.eyebrowstod...

Anastasia is great! She encouraged me to grow my eyebrows out for a couple of weeks...I hated those two weeks but I did it. She gave me a beautiful subtle arch and I am shocked at how much brighter my eyes look. My eyes are downturned and whatever she did completely perked them up. I am so happy I listened to her. She is fast and knows what she is doing. Go and see this women!!!
