Pretty amazing and consistent specialty pizza's. I love ordering or going here for pizza sans the norm. I think I am trying to try almost everything on the menu because this is one of the few places where I have strayed from having the same order every time. Results? Pretty hard to not to love everything.

So I'm not a huge pizza junky, but I actually love everything I have tried here so far. I was a little turned off by the service but I am willing to overlook it since the food is great and the price is fair.

These are some of my favorites or I should say delivery order staples as everyone from the living room shouts over my shoulder and demands the yummy goodness!

Ragin Rooster- pretty much a BBQ Chicken pizza with bbq sauce but really good portions and better quality chicken. Great sauce and nice combination of melted cheese.

Let me be clear and say that I'm not reviewing Extreme Pizza as a company--but this specific location.

I recently had my father in town and on his first night here, we decided to order pizza. Seeing that there was an Extreme Pizza not too far away, I decided to order a couple of pies. Here's what proceeded to happen:

7:30 - I call, give my address and my order and everything sounds fine. I'm told it'll take about an hour.

7:45 - I get a call from someone else from Extreme Pizza confirming my address. He says something like "Oh, that's really far out there, it'll take around an hour and 20 minutes to an hour and a half." Now, here's the problem. My father and I had a prior commitment at 9:30. I didn't want the pizza to arrive just as we were running out the door--or even worse, I didn't want the pizza to arrive after 9:30. I told the guy on the phone that if it was going to take longer than an hour, I'd have to cancel the order. He then said that it would only take an hour. This made me feel weird. I told him to absolutely promise that it would only take an hour. He repeated that it would only take an hour. Ok, sure.

9:05 - I call the location and ask for the current status of my order. The person who answers takes a moment and then tells me that my order is already out for delivery.

9:25 - Delivery guy arrives. I pay with credit card and figuring that the delivery guy isn't to blame for the crappy service, I leave a standard tip. He then laughs a bit and says "Yeah, sure did take a long time getting out here." I asked if he was the same guy who I spoke to on the phone and he said he was. I then told him that I'm very upset and that I had a commitment for 9:30 and that I wouldn't even have time to enjoy my food which I just paid about $50 for. He laughs a bit. This pisses me off to no end. Why the hell are you laughing? I had hoped to eat some awesome pizza with my family. Instead, I get enough time to grab a slice and run out of the door. This is terrible customer service. I tell him that he shouldn't be laughing that it's complete bullshit. If he had simply told me it was going to take longer than an hour, I would've cancelled my order--but I would still order from them. I can understand if a pizza place is swamped and can't get a delivery out in a reasonable amount of time. But don't lie to me. Now I won't order from you ever again.

9:40 - After my father and I leave for our commitment, my wife calls the location and submits a complaint. She's told on the phone that they're very sorry and yada, yada. They agree to comp 2 pizzas on a future order from us. Ok, whatever. I'll take it.

Now, about a week and a half later, my wife calls the location and is told that it's against company policy to comp pizzas in that way. I guess we were just lied to twice on the same night. Great service, folks. Top notch.

I really want to clarify this: I'm not upset that my pizzas took a long time to arrive. I can understand if they're running behind. I can understand if I live too far away. But just tell me about it so I can order from somewhere else. Don't blow smoke up my ass and ruin my night. I'm also not upset that I don't get two free pizzas out of the ordeal. But don't tell me you're going to comp two pizzas if you're not allowed to.

This review is for the customer service I received on my order two days ago.

I figured I'd try this location out because I've never had problems with Extreme Pizza in the past and I had a craving.
    Never again my friends.
The driver came to my house and when I gave him the money for my order he said.."Ohhhh..you know what..I don't have any change."
    I was shocked.
Drivers are always supposed to have change. Period.
I worked for a pizza place for almost 3 years and we always made sure our drivers had paper and coin change for ever run they went on.
He would not go back to the store for me to get change and his attitude will prevent from ever ordering from this location again.

The food was delicious but is not worth the terrible customer service.
I really wish I would have had a better experience, but I guess I'll wait until I'm in Berkeley to get my fix.

After celebrating some successes at work, my colleagues and I stumbled in here after having some drinks at "The Spot".

We we're SF bound but needed to grab some grub to sober up a bit.  We ordered an extra large veggie/something else pizza and a pitcher of beer.  When we walked in, it was close to 10pm.  We thought they would be mad at us for ordering a pizza and beer so close to closing time, but no one gave us any grief about it.

The pizza was made in about 12 minutes...and it was pretty decent.  The thing I liked most, is that we were all getting pretty loud laughing and cracking jokes, and the employees just let us do our thing.  Pretty chill spot if you ask me.

I am a pizza junkie. I have been since age 7. And I can tell you where the good slices are. (Hint: it ain't Zachary's!)  Though Extreme isn't the best (they don't even use a real pizza oven) their dough is decent, the sauce is very tasty, the toppings good and their calzones rock. If you sign up on the web site you'll get some good coupons.

Extreme place would normally be a 3-star affair, but as it's in my home town, I can walk there and they're open til 9, I am giving it an extra star.

One of the few restaurants that is open in Pt. Richmond for lunch on a Sunday on a consistent basis. The pizza is tasty, but the dough makes me think I'm biting into flat bread. A slice of pizza is huge. This is a chain restaurant.

Service: very friendly customer service; they would come by and pick up left over salad plates, and also asked if everything was OK, definitely a plus.

Food: had a fresh greens salad, and potato basil pizza, what a combination, it was so delicious and fresh, I definitely will come again.

Location: in quiet Point Richmond, free street parking, this has top California pizza for the following, no long waits, friendly service.

Alright this pizza joint is the schiznit... I dont know what else to say.

I absolutely love the Everest style pie. I am often eating at this joint with a number of my coworkers in groups up to 15. We eat here it seems 3 out of every 4 weeks at least once and sometimes twice.

The HUGE is the way to go. The coupons on their website are well well worth it and if you have good timing they will have a few of the buy ten get one free coupons as well.

This particular location is slammed everyday at lunch, hence we phone ahead and have our pies waiting for us when we arrive. I know they have Fat Tire on tap and not sure what else, but it really sucks that we cant drink at lunch or I would find out what all they have on tap and tip a few back.

My coworkers love a number of their other specialty pizza's but I am just into the all meat ones and can not say enough good things about their Everest...

It is a thin crust kinda place, which is really good here... even if I like pan/deep dish as well...  they have a mix of cheeses and it is often easily discernable while you are eating. If you order a slice they will literally make you a slice and slide it in the oven...

The main guy there who delivers the pie to your table and rings up your orders is always dancing and playing around having fun. He also makes sure you get your frequent pizza card stamps properly allocated.

They are also able to handle big catering orders as we have ordered up to 35 pies at once for large safety meetings. This they have been able to handle without any issues and even delivered the pie's warm/hot and ready to grub without it being cold or tepid...

I wholeheartedly give this place 2 thumbs up for super pie and a great atmosphere...

Stick with the pizza.  I've had Extreme Pizza before and it's good so today for lunch thought I'd venture to the Calzones... big mistake! The tomato sauce in my calzone was so watery that it dripped everywhere; not good thick tomato sauce watery tomato sauce.  There were chunks of raw garlic throughout. Don't get me wrong I love garlic, but not raw chunks.

Have to say I was disappointed and should have just stuck with what I know Extreme does best... the pizza.

Pretty expensive for "above average" pizza.  It is nice that they deliver for $1 and we always do delivery or take-out. Delivery is fast and usually prompt.  The best part about them is ordering online-- BUT, if you have any coupons, it is a pain online because they never (usually) work correctly.   I complained and the main company sent me gift certs for my next order so that was a nice touch.

TIP:  Sign-up for their e-mail list if you live in the "hood" cause they send out pretty good specials every month.   Enjoy.

Pizza is ok.  Nothing spectacular.  Its hard to screw up pizza.  The slices are pretty big. Pizza and a drink under $5 for lunch, its a pretty good deal.

We get dinner orders of this pizza for work.  The pizzas are huge,  but again, not as extreme as the restaurant name would suggest.

We always go as a family. We really like getting individual pizzas thus everyone gets what they prefer. We also like that they actually make it the way you order it. Want extra sauce and you get extra sauce. They have a couple of somewhat unique pizzas one of which is like a Mexican dinner served on a pizza crust. Very yummy. The atmosphere is what you make it with family and/or friends. The ambiance is plain and simple. We really like Extreme's pizza and recommend them. Good pizza and fair pricing.

If you are looking for the same old pizza, keep walking. If you want something special, unique, extra tasty.... This is the place.

I have actually never eaten IN the store since they offer free delivery. It's less than a mile from my job, about 6 miles from my house and the web site (where you can place your order) is very well organized It offers all of the customization you could want. I have had pizza delivered from them at least 25 times in the last year and a half. Plus I sometimes order for my job (anywhere from 4 to 18 extra larges at a time). The pizza is awesome. My faves are the Raging Rooster, Yard Sale, Boarder, Paia Pie and especially the Wingin' it. Buffalo Wing pizza? Does it get any better than that?

There 19 featured types including 8 veggies for you non-carnivores and there is always the option to order yours just the way you like it. They even have non-traditional toppings like roasted walnuts, potatoes, broccoli and hummus.

Oh yes, try the salads. The Chef's Gravity Grab is terrific. Plus when you place your order online they will call you in less then 5 minutes if there is a problem. I ordered my salad once  and they were out of gorgonzola. They called right away to ask if I would like a substitute. Another time I ordered a 2 liter bottle of soda and they were out of the bottles so ordered a 6 pack. When the delivery guy showed up not only did he apologize but  then he gave me the sodas for free. I like that kind of service.

This is my first review on Yelp and I am sad to say that it will not be a good one.  I ordered the boneless wings from here last night and they were terrible.  Not really wings at all but just cut up chicken breasts that were soggy and cold.  I also asked for bleu cheese dressing with it and got a note written on the wing box saying that " they were out of bleu cheese, hope ranch would be ok."  I feel like I can talk with some expertise on wings since i lived in Buffalo NY for 6 years and know what good wings are supposed to taste like.  I am giving them 2 stars because when I placed my order online, someone from there called to let me know that the wait was going to be an hour and half, unfortunately it was a little over 2 and my food was cold!

Seeing how this is the only pizza place in Point Richmond, I'm a fan.  I love their buffalo chicken wings, cheesy bread twists, and the pizza.  I keep thinking I should try a salad but haven't yet.  The place must do a lot of take out business since it's never busy when I am in there (maybe a couple patrons at most).  They have a ton of different pizzas with some good lunch specials.  My favorite pizza is the Yard Sale (it has everything).  The service is good and you can place your to-go or delivery order online....bonus!

We have ordered just about every specialty pizza on the menu.  This has given some interesting so interesting taste experiences on the mostly really good and nothing bad but they just didn't fit our tastes.  The base pizza is of high quality as well and the basic pepperoni is a great choice.  The salads are of good size and are good.

The wings are meat nuggets and are just ok.  If you want the wing flavor, get the Buffalo Wing pizza.  It's great!!!

When someone is a total !@#hole and then makes a complete reversal (and I mean this in the most EXTREME way possible: think Scott Peterson donating his money to a Haitian hurricane orphan) then it deserves extra recognition.

Extreme Pizza went from a third rate restaurant--inferior to Domino's-- to a pretty damn good pizzeria. So just like with people who have drastically improved, we need to recognize this unexpected and admirable achievement this chain Italian restaurant has accomplished.

I don't know what they did but I am impressed. The pizza used to be awful and now it is really good. Five star good? naw, but most things aren't and with pizza even two stars is tolerable 'cause pizza generally hovers around the two-three star range with a few notable five star exceptions such as the Cheeseboard or Zachary's in Berkeley (which I am not even going to bother reviewing cause its pretty much consensus).

Whatever these people have done brings them from a 1.5 star pizza last year to a 3.5 pizza this year, and I add 1.5 stars because this kind of improvement is so rare. Usually incompetent institutions never change. This is why they suck in the first place. The bigger the institution, the harder the change is (think FEMA), so the fact that a chain restaurant managed to overcome its suckiness, really means something.

    Good job guys

The pizza is always made fresh takes a few minutes to get ready the price is great for a lunch special. I also enjoy the atmosphere very relaxed. Also they serve beer and beer is always good with pizza haha. Friendly workers friendly community in point Richmond. the location is really tucked away in the cuts. I enjoy the scenery and the people so I would have to say that I am a FAN of extreme pizza and will be returning for seconds.

The pizza was ok probably better than the average pizza chain but I have had much better pizza in the bay area. The salad was loaded with mushrooms(me no likey). They have some unusual pizza choices and I would not be against eating here again but I would not make a special trip.

Honestly, I was expecting the pizza to be a lot more extreme, I wonder why. There wasn't anything really special about the pizza. The pizza seemed to have pretty fresh toppings and they didn't skimp on them either. We ordered a side of boneless buffalo chicken...didn't know they were going to be chicken nuggets. Wasn't too thrilled about that. I'd recommend the pizza here, but it's not worth a special trip just to come to this place.

I love all the "gourmet" pizza combinations available, but like other reviewers Im not sure it should be named "Extreme" pizza.  We got a half and half pizza so we were able to taste more combination's on our first go. We got:

GREEN WITH ENVY  Homemade pesto sauce, tomatoes, feta, fresh basil, oregano and mozzarella. AND POULTRY GEIST  Chicken marinated in a tangy ranch sauce, broccoli, onion, swiss, fontina, gorgonzola, mozzarella and fresh sage.

YUM! I was in love with the poultry geist because of marinara sauce they used a ranch dressing. Delish! We opted for delivery at $1.50 and were able to order online which was pretty cool.

I have ordered delivery from this restaurant a few times and the food is generally good. The buffalo wings are delicious and the pizzas are also flavorful. However, I do not recommend the Calzones as it lacks flavor and is watered down. Usually when I order for delivery, they are very quick and it typically takes them 30-40 minutes. The prices are actually much higher than other pizza restaurants and everything can add up from there.

EXTREME PIZZA is in, Round Table watch out! So full of flavor, convenience of ordering ONLINE, & great customer's service! My work have ordered twice from them, 4 JUMBO PIZZAS and 2 salads using their awesome coupon that you can find online. All this under $100 which includes plenty tip, 17 people in, we all paid like $6. Here's how easy it is: Pick your pizzas & salads from their list of specialty pizzas and salad. We vote, and the winners are: PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST, POULTRY GEIST, YARDSALE, PANDORA BOX, & EVEREST!!! My fave is Peace in the Middle East, it's the bomb!! wait, I shouldn't say Middle East and bomb in the same sentence.... Anyways, OoH so I love their online ordering due to easy to follow screens, checkbox, & comment box. You also can checkbox CASH to pay them when they deliver. The delivery guy is adorable, he has a foreign accent that I can't distinguish, and even though he's all sweaty, he's got a HUGE SMILE and is absolutely polite. The second time I paid him he said "So I'll see you next week ay!?" Great customer relations indeed! Great pizzas!!

meh.  i ordered online and it took an hour + before it was delivered and it was wrong in a big way.  i called and was on hold for 10 minutes then had to explain over and over that the pizza was made incorrectly.  then another hour before the new pizza came.  although it was made correctly, they forgot the sides.  thanks for trying.
