Now, let me start with some honesty: My best friend works at Extreme. But I'm not saying that I like the pizza because of this. I'm just saying.

Anyway, I do agree with most people's complaints about the price. It IS a little pricey for what you get. And I'm pretty frugal, so I try not to order one. I just get from Viva Italiano when I need a cheap pizza fix. But sometimes, I work a few extra hours, and I think I deserve a much tastier, zestier pizza, like the Yardsale. But, like I said, that's not too often.

Last Sunday, though, my friend brought over one especially for me (and a couple of slices for him, of course). I think that particular pie is what might change my mind about getting from Extreme. It was hella good. It was a much lighter pizza then I'm used to getting. It had juicy, cherry tomatoes (also chunks of regular tomatoes), light on the salami, light on the bacon, and the basil was put on after it was cooked, so it was totally fresh tasting. I REALLY enjoyed it. Enough to be compelled to write a yelp review about it.

So, I'm not gonna talk about the service, cuz I've never been burned. But the pizza was fan-friggin-tastic.

Oh ya !!!! Extreme !

EXTREMELY shitty !!

Pizza ? WTF ?

I don't think so. I would never thought it possible, but it makes Dominos look good. For that matter, it's a tie with (up) Chuck E (coli) Cheese !!!!!

Save your money, your taste buds, and your dignity.

What an Extreme joke.

Do I really have to add 1 star ?!?!?!?!?

This place has potential, but so does an unwashed pig!

If I owned this business I would do 3 things to turn it around.
1. Extend hours to 11PM on weekdays and to 1AM on Fri & Sat.
2. Fire current employees and hire motivated people.
3. Manage the business personally or bring in a stake-holding manager.

I ordered online at 8:30 and got a call at 8:45 saying that they stopped making deliveries. Really? You just arbitrarily decided to close early? The guy on the other side of the phone was like.
-"Dude, if you still want it, you can come down and pick-it up. But ya gotta get here in 10mins."
-"Fine, I'll be there in 5 mins" (hangs up)
You could hear his shocked silence as I readily agreed to his terms. I really wanted that pizza.

Upon arriving, the first thing you notice it that the business sits between a   "Smoke Shop" (yeah a pipe store) and Nor-Cal Surf Shop. Gee.... I wonder what kind of person I was talking to on the phone? I walk in and the answer is apparent.  2 stoned surfers are watching TV (family guy). Low and behold.... they were the employees. Nice.

I get my pizza at 9:05, undercooked, and with a scowl. Whoa dude, sorry for ruining your buzz.

TO THE OWNER- Seriously, there is a recession going on. Have you seen your yelp reviews? Do you like throwing money away? Do something For God's sake!! You have a good product! You're just being dumb by letting a business with this much potential languish and die slowly.

Disappointed.

I only came here because the Taco Bell parking lot was full, and didn't want to walk those few blocks back in the heat.  Big Mistake.

The staff was grumpy, irritated, and the pizza I received was burnt, tasteless, and had almost no cheese on it.  In addition, beverages were all overpriced.  I didn't get away paying less than $15, and I only had a Mountain Dew!  (no beer!)

I should have gone to Taco Bell, where $5 would have gotten me something tasty, unburned with no wait time, and soda included.

Will never order from them again...Why do these places offer "online ordering" if they can't handle the pace on a saturday night??

I agree with many of the comments below. The pizza itself is quite good, but the service is dreadful.

I've ordered from them (I think) five times, and the third time, not only was my email order "not ready," but people who came in and ordered at the counter after I arrived got their food before me. After a while, I asked -again- about the pizza, and after some confused muttering in the kitchen, someone reached up and "found" a box that had been sitting on the oven the entire time I was there. They offered me a free cookie. I declined and swore never to go back.

I wrote the owner to complain. He apologized profusely and offered me a quite-generous discount the next time I was in. I went back (not using the discount, wanting to save it for another time) and things went quite well; I was hopeful they'd turned it around.

The last time (and I do mean "last time") I was in, the same thing happened. Slacker service, nothing ready, things slapped together, and a long, long wait. I wrote the owner again. Again, the offer of the discount, but that was the last straw, which is a shame; the pizza is actually pretty good, but life is too short to deal with that staff of stoned losers.

The whole atomosphere reminds me of the Haight, and not in the good way. People wander in from the beach to use the bathroom, the staff seems altered, and, frankly, I don't know how they stay in business.

I can only concur with the consensus, and can only add that calzones are pretty nasty when the mozzarella is forgotten and the dough taste frozen. Like Luigi's across town this place has a very haflassed -customer can go to heck attitude- towards business.

Downgrading after my last order - it's possible that the slices here are better than a pie to order.  Crust was bland and dry.  Still love the fresh jalapenos though

This was my staple slice joint in pac heights and it's much better than most pizza joints in SF if you're looking for quick take-out.  Lots of toppings to choose from and they do a good job with the crust (crispy, but gentle on the bite).  My favorite topping combo is jalapeno and pineapple.    Don't knock it 'till you try it.

I love this as a chain, between here and San Diego, I have been ordering from Extreme for over 10 years.

That said, this location is a little slow moving.  By that I mean, the guy told us that it would take 10 minutes for pizza, and that he didn't want to have it delivered to us and that we should wait the 10 minutes.  (We had just finished surfing and gone in to order the pizza to be delivered.)  40 minutes later we got our pizza.  We should have not even tried, but 30 minutes in we ordered chicken nuggets and bread sticks.  That took another 20 minutes.

The staff is friendly enough, but they move slowly like maybe they are not morning people.

Either way the food is good so it's worth it, just don't plan to be in a hurry to go anywhere, or insist on delivery so you can at least wait at home rather than sitting in the little restaurant that is 15 degrees hotter than outside for some reason.

Food is great though so it's worth it.

Pizza was tasty and decent...but not worth the crap service from the counter from someone who doesnt want to be there. Ive only had good service once out of the 3 times ive been there. Go to the cafe across the street or to the hawaiian joint...or safeway. Ditch this joint.

Extreme PIzza is one of my post-surf guilty pleasures! It's conveniently located right next to the Nor Cal surf shop and by the beach in Pacifica. My surfer friends and I have gone for a slice or pizza after a long day surfing on more than one occasion.
The servers are pleasant but always seem to be stoned out of their gourd. It sometimes makes basic communication with them pretty difficult. But who can blame them, there doesn't seem to be a lot to do in Pacifica besides hang out at the beach.
However, the food tastes like it was made by stoners and that is a good thing. The pizza, when fresh out of the oven, shines with grease and the topping choices are wonderful. The size of the slice is quite generous, too. It may even be twice the size of a lot of slices from other pizza by the slice places in the city!
The happy hour is great! There is a limited selection of beers to choose from (3 on tap if memory serves) but $2 for a pint of Stella Artois. Try finding that anywhere in San Francisco!
I love waiting for a pizza while sitting on the bench made out of snowboards outside the place. Very creative thinking there - wink wink!

Boooo. FAIL! I really don't like this place. I have eaten their pizza once at a friends house and thought it was decent. I thought I would order again and it proved to be a bad mistake. The pizza itself was greasy and undercooked almost. I mean usually when dough is undercooked it is super chewy. Which it was. The variety of toppings appealed to me but I'm glad I didn't venture out of my comfort zone, who knows what would have been delivered. Everybody deserves another chance and I'd eat their pizza again but only if someone else pays for it.

If you live South of Devils Slide do not bother with Extreme Pizza! We decided to give them a try and order on line.  The quote with delivery was wrong so they called and said they have minimums and we ended up waiting an hour & paying $40. ($5.00 tip) for a large cold pizza.  Harbor Pizza delivers free, excellent pizza for about $20. Also the slices were so huge we had to recut..... I am sure if we had gone in and had the pizza hot and not had to pay so much it would have been good but $40. for a pizza.............cold......no thanks

Thin crust, an array of toppings. They even offer humus pizza. Now, this is a pie worth wanting. The staff are layed back surfers who work right next to a head shop. So be sure to check your order if picking it up yourself. They seem to take a while preparing their pizza. Delayed gratification is what it is about.

It took 95 minutes for the delivery and the pizza was cold.     Although I placed my order online (no room for error I thought), my order was incorrect and the total charged was different from what my online receipt said.    The pizza might have been great the first time around, but after nuking it, it was chewy.   The breadsticks were great, though - even after reheating them (thus the two stars).

the dough used on their breadsticks is amazing.  we usually ask for our pizzas well done; espeicially if we are ordering a veggie pizza.

+ fresh non-pickled jalapenos
+ cheese/garlic bread sticks

Pizzas:
+ Yard Sale (Everything in the house!)
+ Drag it through the Garden (full veggie)

Consistently the best pizza joint in Pacifica. I've tried them all, many times. Extreme has the most creative blend of toppings, the coolest staff, and always on time. The counter girls at Viva Italiano are hotter, but I choose the food over the sights. :-)
