This place is alright.... I tend to lean more toward the "overpriced and overrated" side. It's your basic pastries and deserts, they don't really do anything particularly well or have any special thing that you *have* to try. It's just basic deserts you've had before, but theyr're decorated prettily.
Other than being average, I'm rating them a 3 star because I don't like the cafeteria style to order deserts, and the service was pretty crappy. It can be ridiculously overcrowded as well.
It's a nice place to take a date. It's a little romantic and everyone loves deserts, but the novelty wore off quickly for me. I still tried to get my mom to go here when she was in town though. ;)

+2 stars for the teas and Valhrona hot cocoa.
-1 star for the inedible flowers, overcrowded cakes.
-2 stars for terrible customer service.
This location is crowded, cramped, and sticky. None of the bussers clean the tables before each party sits down, and there's even a security guard at the front who tries to make up for his misguided career choices by practicing being a bouncer. He divides up parties, even if you're a family who says you're all together, makes you wait at the door for 15+ minutes to stand in line for another 30, and yells at people who take too long when they sit in his section (disclaimer: parties of 8 or more can only sit in the cafe for an HOUR MAXIMUM (!!!) - we were a party of 5). Lame service, overhyped, overly pretentious. The downtown location (about 1 mile away from this one) is not much better, but at least they have more tables and no bouncer.
Fun for first timers, but that feeling lasts only as long as you see the cakes lined up in the glass windows - everything else is downhill from there.

I have driven past this place numerous times over the years, but finally stopped in to try some of their desserts. Highly acclaimed pastry chef, Karen Krasne is the proprietor. She has been named as one of the Top 10 Pastry Chefs of the country in years past.
There is a distinct Hawaiian undertone in many of the desserts, no doubt a product of her years spent in Hawaii while getting her undergrad degree.
The Viking is a chocolate lover's dream. Moist and light chocolate cake is separated by layers of Chocolate Creme Brulee and Milk Chocolate Whipped Cream. Surrounded by Crushed Almond Praline makes one go into a wonderfully blissful diabetic coma. A chocolate dipped salted caramel almond finishes off the garnish.
Superb craftsmanship can be seen in every dessert. Tropical flowers and gold leaf don most of the desserts as well.
My only complaints? The line is achingly slow. No doubt by everyone in line not being able to make up their mind of what to order. With only one cash register, this could be easily remedied. The desserts here, although top notch, are more expensive than what you would find in most restaurants.

I love this place. I have been going here for probably 10 years. Everything I eat there is freaking delicious, I love any cake with chocolate in it they make. Excellent craftsmanship, superb presentation. Impress someone by taking them here.
I saw it in the dark. Parking a block away. It was a warm night. Lanterns flickering brighter and brighter as we approached. The murmur of sugar starved patrons growing louder with each step. And the line? Meandered out the door. Perhaps a night of two desserts, one of conversation and the other gustation.
A look around revealed tables out and in, adorned with casual friends and cooing couples. Anticipation! Broad smiles passed by calling attention to sugary treasures boxed in white.
Ah. Finally. A step in the door.
A glance.. Another line! Actually the same, but bestride a confectioners glassy counter. I salivate. Cookies! Cakes! Pastries! I want them all! I spy a target, my conquest for the night. Lemon Praline Cake. Sexy and sassy. Attired in a shimmering gilded dress - honeyed, crunchy, chewy. This modest covering soon falls away revealing a moist, delicate, golden flesh - puckering and sweet. But ho, what is this? I see you've brought a friend, a Russian ballerina, Pavlova by name. Have you just come from a performance, I wonder. An airy tutu alluring me, blinding me in its white radiance. A nibble. A bite. Both crunchy and chewy, a rare consistency difficult to master, but which falls under-appreciated on my neanderthalic palate. Your petite hands clutch the most wonderful of bouquets - bright, aromatic, fresh. Perhaps the fruits of your travels, methinks. Forgive my staring. I cannot turn away. You look wonderful.
What an extraordinary dessert. =)

I didn't eat at this one but picked up some belated birthday goodies for my man. We got the Devonshire shortcake and nectarine tart to go, both very delicious. I liked the tart better. I wished I had time to eat here. I would've liked to eat here for my first Extraordinary Dessert experience, but no my boyfriend had to take me to the "sloppy second" Union street location. The decor is much nicer, cozier than the industrial-chic look at Union street.
I remember the days when Extraordinary Desserts was a mere hidden gem, tucked away on Banker's Hill. Now the secret is out and everyone has discovered how special this dessert place is. I can write a novel on how delicous and distinct their desserts are. My favorite is the Passion Fruit Riccota Torte--a fresh blend of tropical fruits, moist cake, blended together with an undescribable tartness. It's heaven in your mouth. For all you lemon lovers, try thier lemon torte. Dining in, you'll receive your dessert on a nicely decorated plate. All the small details count at this venue. I will call this--HANDS DOWN--the best dessert place in San Diego.
Oh Extraordinary Desserts, how you've disappointed me time and time again...
I was going to give you a fourth or fifth time to live up to so many 4+ star Yelp reviews, but I just can't hold it back any longer!
I'll admit, aesthetically, you're uber-pleasing. From the candle light and soft colors, to the intimate tables, and fantastic plating and presentation, the ambiance is impressive.
However, this does not excuse the two areas in which you are seriously lacking:
1. Customer Service: On each of the three separate occasions I've paid you a visit, the service has simply stunk! I've wanted so badly for you to shine, especially in the presence of my guests from out of town, and in light of all the great things I've heard about you from friends and coworkers.
However, instead of a delightful end to their trip, your employees all but spit in their faces. This is excusable once. I'll even be the first to admit that sometimes we have our "off" days, but three times? With three separate groups of friends? Simply intolerable.
After waiting in line for 15-20 minutes, to be greeted by a sneer is unacceptable. A simple smile, or "can I help you?" goes a long way in my book! Furthermore, when one of your customer's orders is incorrect, it's customary to remedy the situation, is it not? We left feeling guilty for having asked your gracious employees to fix their mistake, and even guiltier for having bothered them with our order in the first place.
2. Quality of food: Another disappointment. Your desserts are simply too sugar-laden to choke down. You can mask the terrible quality of your offerings with orchids and rose petals as much as you'd like, but your desserts are hardly anything out of the ordinary. The cookies, shortbread, scones, and brioche items are far too dry, and the chocolate items end up all tasting like the same bland mush.
Despite this, you still manage to be one of the only dessert places around, and a full step above Heaven Sent (in my humble opinion), so I'm willing to give it another shot.
I'll be sure and get it to go, though.

I didn't really know what to expect as I walked in this store, but i was definitely so surprised and giddy!
They had cakes in the refrigerators that looked like bonnets! with cute flowers and ribbons and everything! it was like a cake going to a party! all ready to party!
The pastries were equally impressive, where they had flower petals and gold flakes as decoration. mind you, each pastry is a huge portion, and could be SHARED if wanted ... of course you don't ;]
the cake slices were delicious. i had the Triple Chocolate Mousse Torte. I'm not really a chocolate cake person, but honestly this was sooo fantastic! it was so moist with every bite. I hate nits, but the caramelized hazelnuts were so good! it was almost like toffee! The chocolate mousse were not sweet at all.. which was surprising, and the dark chocolate cake was not bitter - probably masked by all the chocolately mousse. the sauce was DELICIOUS!
my friend had the brioche, but it was really moist, but definitely lacked some sauce with it. though there were berries on top, it wasn't enough for every bite of the brioche.

I'm putting this review in the correct location because I realized that I originally wrote this review under the Little Italy location when it actually belonged here:
Decadent and delicious. A bit pricey though, but the cakes, ohh, the cakes. I suppose I have to go there again to have a proper recollection of the restaurant, but the one time I went, I got a blood orange torte. I enjoyed its sweet taste with a tangy undertone, and the display was beautiful.
The Little Italy location, in comparison:
So I realized that when I wrote this review, I originally meant the Hillcrest location NOT the Little Italy location. The Hillcrest location is way better than the Little Italy one, in my humble opinion. The Little Italy one has noticeably smaller portions, extremely slow service (or at least at around 3 PM, their service was terrible), and just overall, it was not what I expected from Extraordinary Desserts.
I guess, to be fair, it is unfair to make a comparison between the two locations. Perhaps if it had been my first time experiencing Extraordinary Desserts, I wouldn't have given the Little Italy location 1 star. Perhaps if I hadn't gone in the restaurant expecting something EXTRAORDINARY, I would have given this location more than 1 star. In factor of the Little Italy location, it is more of a restaurant, with more choices of food beyond dessert, and it is a bit more updated looking. Nonetheless, the name of the restaurant is Extraordinary Desserts, not Food + Sub-Par Desserts.
its ok. Don't know too many dessert places in San Diego, but compared to places in LA like (Lady Jane or Portos), this place actually sucks. Its too sweet for me, my teeth would ache and can't take the sweetness. But the environment is cool and its a place to bring visitors to. I'm trying to find a replacement for it in San Diego.
I really like this location better than the one downtown. The atmosphere felt more "cafe like" and was less crowded. The variety and quality of desserts was amazing and it made the extra calorie intake for that day worth it!
We also prefer this location than the Little Italy location. This one seems more homey and comfy to me. We like sitting outside with the twinkle of candlelights around! And always expect somewhat of a line when you come. And finding seating is always a task.
We always take our out of town guests, and we always have a good experience. It's nice seeing their eyes light up when they see the presentation.
Our usual favorites: the Gianduia --love the crushed pralines on this, the Viking -- when I want chocolate overkill. Usually I can never finish this and end up taking the rest home because it's so rich, but it's good! And then the Caribe - it's a mix of fruits like passion fruit, bananas, and mangos, but then with a mix of dark chocolate. It's just the right balance, not heavy, and I usually finish this one.
My husband and I usually share the portions too. And we always love the selection of tea here.
Always one of our fav spots for late night!
Classy-looking desserts decorated with fresh flowers and bits of gold foil, served up in a sleekly decorated, modern cafe.
What I tried: Strawberry shortcake, raspberry coffeecake, butter toffee brownie, caramelized bread thingee (I can't remember the exact name... but it's Extraordinary Desserts' riff on a chocolate croissant).
Complaint #1: I would say to skip the cakes. Both the coffee cake and the sponge cake were hard and dense... almost like a biscuit or a cookie. Not my cup of tea. On the other hand, the pastries (at least, the caramelized chocolate bread and the butter toffee brownie) were very good and well worth the money.
Complaint #2: My little brother couldn't finish his second dessert so I went to the counter and asked for a "to go" box. The spikey-haired goth emo dude behind the counter gave me an irritated look and slammed the box down on the counter without so much as a word. RUDE.
Price: Six desserts plus a large bottle of sparkling water came to about $34. Not cheap, but well within the range of other "gourmet" dessert places.

I love the vibe, very very beautiful design on each desert, the flowers and golden flakes looks realistic. I like the lay out of the place, very contemporary. Some what pricey but the experience was great for a romantic night.
Such pretty desserts, almost too pretty to be eaten.
The torta-misu is tres yummy!
I love Extraordinary Desserts! I much prefer this location to the newer location in Little Italy. I like the more local, neighborhood patio feel of this location. I don't quite understand the haters who compare the desserts here to a grocery store... what grocery stores are you shopping at, please tell me!
My favorite is the Truffle Framboise -- I love the dark chocolate and the raspberries -- which is so rich I divide the piece into two servings due to its richness. I also like the Tortamisu. My hubby usually gets something with coconut or strawberry and isn't disappointed.
I love sitting on the patio with him, slowly savoring our desserts and a good cup of coffee on a balmy evening.
Natalie T. took me here on a rather last minute San Diego trip not too long ago. She always raved about this place and it was a must-try on our SD tour!
The place was very cute. There was a bit of a line since the place was small and it was on the weekend, but it wasn't too bad.. especially since you get a nice treat after standing it in! We had the triple chocolate mouse torte and it was suprisingly not too thing. I was afraid it would be too chocolatey since it was triple chocolate but it was the right amount of everything, including richness too. I also came here on another occasion to bring back treats from a training i had to attend to in SD, and they suggested the drive from SD to LA would not do the cakes justice. So i settled on other little delecacies that my coworkers and managers loved.
This place also has a varied selection of teas and an impressive selection of chocolates too that could be a bit costly for some people. But hey you live once right? Indluge once in a while!! This is the perfect place to do that!

If you believe that the desserts at Extraordinary Desserts are great then re-evaluate your thoughts. They are 100 times better! All desserts here are absolutely DIVINE. Everytime I have guests from out of town, I take them to XD. I only wish that I could afford to eat dessert here everyday. Prices are a little on the heavy side but well worth it for the taste and presentation of each dessert. Wanna impress a date? Take her or him here for dessert. Works for me everytime!

So, every year my friend Scott goes on a quest to get his wife, Amoreena, a yummy lemon cake for her birthday. Scott did some research on the 'net and ended up getting the lemon praline cake from Extraordinary Desserts. The consensus was that this was one of the best birthday cakes yet. Amazing flavor--rich and creamy with great "refreshing" lemon flavor and a bit of crunchy praline on the outside.
oh.my.goodness.
I've had the delicious treats offered by this establishment as birthday snacks. However, actually getting the chance to sit down and enjoy the amazing array of yuuuummmmmm was even better. There was a line out the door of the store, which took nearly 15 minutes. The time was spent eyeing the various cakes, teas, and other delights. Worth the wait, though. I dined with 3others, and we shared our desserts, and had coffee. I don't remember the names of the treats that we chose, but they were awesome.
I enjoyed the outdoor seating, and the service was decent. We went at night, and it was relaxing just kicking back and chatting up the evening.
Would certainly go again, and it is a great place to hang with a group, or have a romantic "date nite". Nice atmosphere, candles, etc.!

I love this place. My husband and I come here for special occasions. We were here last Saturday night, pretty late, and the wait was not bad. After ordering, we had to sit outside. They had the heaters cranked, so it wasn't cold at all. I've tried many of the cakes here. They are all good. They must be, I saw one of the workers in the back eat something out of a mixing bowl as she was preparing it!! I've never tried anything on the counter (on the right) as you first walk in. That stuff looks a little funky sometimes.
Last night we shared the Dulce de Leche and the Tres Leches Cake. Both excellent.

Holy shit! This place is no joke.
They serve up some serious dessert concoctions. Each dessert is not only supersized (and I mean SUPERsized!) but it's a piece of art.
The place is pretty unique. I didn't order a dessert (too intimidated and stuffed from dinner) but we sat outdoors with a group of folks and it was super cozy; almost felt like I was just kickin' it in someone's backyard for the evening, enjoying desserts, sipping espresso, all surrounded by warm lights and white-washed fences.
Nice place. Wish there was one in SF.

the smaller of the two...though someone was shot here, i still think that this place is safer. The one in little italy has homeless people sleeping on the street. Its makes me uncomfortable, especially walking in heels, leaving Little italy past midnight..i dunno, i feel guilty to be waking them up, as seeing their heads peek out of their sleeping bags....
their dining area is smaller, but there is an option here to sit outside..bathroom is also only accessible form the outside, but the bathroom is inside....they also have free water...but no wait staff like in little italy....
i wont comment too much about the desserts - just let the pictures speak for itself...either way...the desserts here taste the same as it does there...but if you want somewhere to sit, go to little italy...

I've died and gone to Dessert heaven!! of course everyone has heard of this amazing dessert shop, but I had to do a review on it and persuade the dessert lovers out there........to go!! to go and look and pick out that perfect dessert that calls your name and says "you will absolutely love me!!". It's such a pleasurable experience walking in and coming up to that heavenly display case......your eyes can't seem to look at everything fast enough.......oh my gosh if you could only try them all!!. Last visit, I had the coffee cake, check out my picture, that's no ordinary coffee cake. Love this place!!
Cool vibe.
Great date place!
Super packed. Saw people from all walks of life. I guess Dessert is the second universal language.
Everyone told me that I should check this place out because it has the best desserts (I am from LA). I thought the desserts were pretty good but not the best ones I ever had. The price was pretty expensive but overall I give it five stars for the experience. It is definitely a destination point for someone visiting SD for the first time.
I tried 3 of their desserts and they indeed do look better than they taste. In general, way too sweet. The atmosphere of a fast-food hut with a long line to the counter and still gratuity included in the bill. And all this philosophical/spiritual crap on their website...

Ok - first of all - I'm a closet architect, but my brain and my hand won't listen to each other, so I can only look and kibitz about architecture. If you haven't stopped to examine the exterior of Extraordinary Desserts - the next time you go, stand outside and look at the structure. A very clever and minimalist remodel of a once homely building. Love it.
Now - to the desserts. Dessert - remember that word - it means something delicious and sweet, and sticky, and decadent, and forbidden, coveted, something that leaves you licking your....Oh - I'm back. Sorry...
On special occasion, the pastry chefs at ED produce a yuzu financier. Yuzu is an amazingly tart citrus fruit from Japan, but only the skin is used. The fruit is about the size of a tangerine and doesn't yield a lot of juice - but the peel is potent. Anything made with yuzu gets my attention.
A financier is a wee little loaf cake named after gold ingots traded by the money changers at the turn of the 20th century. Or so I'm told - I'm a sucker for that kinda BS.
One little financier is enough for 3 people - I'm not kidding. Rich, moist, dense, but not doughy, frosted with melt in your mouth buttery-cream, with a zing of yuzu frosting...take me to your leader...They're mind blowing. Why, I'm trippin' right now.
Try it with a hot gen-mai cha and prepare for a little moment of heaven on earth. Sublime.

Chocolate focused review:
My mom likes to smoke the funny stuff (medical reasons). She loves choclate. When she came to visit last weekend I stored an Influx cupcake in the cupboard so when she started laughing I could make her happy. The last night she was in town she blew off my offer to go to go Cafe Chloe to just go to dessert.
She asked for chocolate. She is thin, but she can put some chocolate cake down.
I went to E.D. and spoiled her. I ordered a slice of every chocolate cake -- four different kinds:
Chocolate Macadamia Torte
Au Chocolat
Triple Chocolate Mousse Torte
Moroccan
My mom ate as much of every one until she couldn't move (about 1/3 of each). The verdict: Au Chocolat was the best. In her world the best means it was the most rich & chocolately.
Take it from a fun-loving-chocolate-loving-giggly smoking-the-funny-stuff late 40s woman: if you love chocolate order thhe Au Chocolat.
Extraordinary Desserts isn't cheap but the product they deliever matches the price.

I love extraordinary desserts =)
I' ve been to both locations also, but I actually prefer the union street location better. Their desserts are to dye for. I love their cakes. I never finish it, but I always take it home and enjoy my "extraordinary dessert". Dessert is always yummy with wine. My friend and I ordered the musscat dessert wine with our cakes and it was "DELICIOUS". I wanted more wine w/ my dessert though...haha! the glass was so tiny. i have also tried their hot chocolate chai drink (i forgot the exact name of it) but its really good also, highly recommend if you like both chai and chocolate...hehe! i love going w/ groups of people, b/c everyone orders something different and we always pass the cakes around like an assembly line and sample of the cakes...gotta love sweets =)
If you're ever visiting San Diego, this place is a must!!
I've been to both locations and I prefer the smaller location.
The bigger location was soooo crowded!
I love their desserts - a little pricey but well worth it. They have a huuuuge selection. They also have food as well, so there's something for everyone!
I made my first purchase of Vosges chocolates here (they have a lot of other kinds of prepackaged chocolate and sweets as well) - definitely pick some up if you're there.
This place is a great after dinner date place. The ambiance is very romantic and the cakes are gorgeous! I'm not one to like very rich and chocolaty desserts, which they have, but they also have other options that are on the lighter side. I especially like their white chocolate with raspberry cake. It often gets crowded here and sometimes has a line out the door, but for the most part there is a nice balance of people looking for seats and those leaving. Some people might think for a slice of cake its pricey, but what you're paying for is how intricately and beautifully the cakes are decorated with flowers and other items. For a gal like me that loves flowers, its well worth every penny.

The desserts are amazing--LOVE the Chocolate Croissant Pudding as it really hitsn those intense chocolate cravings. I love the juicy-ness of the Shang-ri-La cake. Everything is waaaay too pretty to eat, but too good to let it sit. I hate how this location is super-cramped, and how you usually have to wait in a line that trails around the corner! AH. These are the type of desserts that have weight to them when you pick up your To-go bag. So when you walk in if it seems expensive look at the portions. You really get two days of dessert in one serving. If you have the chance to try anything with the creme brulee, I highly recommend that you do so. A good deal of the desserts are layered, so chances are you will get to try more than one extraordinary flavor regardless of what you order. I took a friend here for her birthday. She had a chocolate cake layered with rich chocolate icing and creme brulee. This was really excellent! So rich it made me pucker.
As for my own dessert, my first choice would have been cobbler but they were out so I tried a sort of a thick puff pastry base with creme brulee, a baked apple and whipped cream. This was good, but I found the the base to be a little tough and that the layers were so thick it was hard to get a little of each in a bite. This is definitely not the most extraordinary dessert but it was good. From looking at the cakes I would say you are pretty safe with any of those and the cake we tried was really moist and fluffy.
You should also be ready to stand in line here. It's very popular and the space is small and not that well thought out, but the line moves a reasonable pace and the staff are friendly, so I didn't really mind.
this place is fantastic! i had the truffe framboise (chocolate cake with raspberries) and it was the tastiest thing i've eaten in quite a while. it cost about $8 and worth every penny! you can tell that it's very high quality. i didn't quite like the chocolate sauce that it laid on, but i did like the raspberry sauce. the cake is very chocolate-y, so i think that only the raspberry sauce with the cake is much better. i tried the flourless cake and marbled cheesecake as well, and those were also very good. i consider san diego my 2nd home, and this was my first time. and it won't be my last!
You know, I doubted all the haters that wrote reviews complaining that the desserts here were "too sweet" or "too rich"... "It's dessert!," I thought. As for the high prices, what's a few extra bucks for something really special? It's not like you're buying a whole meal, right?
Well, I'm sad to report that the haters were right. This place SUUUUCKS. I can honestly say that I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant as I was here. Besides the 20-minute wait, the really poor set-up of squeezing your way past the line to scope out the cakes (which pretty much all look the same) so that you can make a split-second decision when it's finally your turn to order, and the ridiculous prices ($26 for two pieces of cake, a scoop of ice cream, and a small cappuccino), the desserts are just. not. good.
I'll admit that I'm a food snob, and I know my desserts, but seriously, any animal with taste buds could tell that the poor quality of these cakes could not be masked by massive amounts of sugar. They just tasted... weird. And after a few more bites, they tasted... disgusting.
Even if I were at a regular restaurant, I'd think these cakes were terrible. And this place only does desserts!! They weren't just mediocre- they were really bad. Seriously, sickeningly sweet. I could only take about three bites of my cake, and I had a raging sugar headache within 15 minutes. The ice cream was no different- it was crap. Icy, sugary, flavorless crap. Haagen-Dazs blows it away. Shit, a friggin' frosty from Wendy's blows it away.
Read my other reviews- generally, I'm tolerant. I love good food, but I don't expect the moon and the stars from every restaurant I visit. But I do expect at least a decent cake from a place named "Extraordinary Desserts." Not worth the calories or the money. Do yourself a favor- go to the 7-Eleven down the block instead and buy a box of cookies and some Ben and Jerry's instead. You'll even have money left over to buy me some booze so that I can drink away the painful memories of this massive disappointment.

This place is a must! I'm not from San Diego and I only get a chance to eat here when i'm visiting my cousin's who are attending college at UCSD. We order at least 6 different desserts to share amongst 6-8 people and there are no left overs!! Pictures are taken of each indiviual dessert because they are just so beautiful when plated! Pictures of us eating the desserts are also taken fun times!! Yummy Times!! EXCELLENT DESSERTS!! Amazing that they are open so late!!
Their name is legit.
Very charming little dessert place that's perfect for a date (*Edit* This must be a new location, 'cuz I can't find their old one! Either way, I recommend going here as a post-dinner date stop!) and with extraordinarily decadent & heavenly desserts. Cakes are decked out in colorful flowers and flawless fruit toppings, while their cupcakes, tarts, shortbread & cookies are just as eye pleasing. They also offer a great selection of teas & coffee that pair well w/ their desserts (cupcakes, tarts, cookies, puddings, ice cream)
I wish they had one of these in SF, but it makes for something to look forward to when visiting San Diago.

Being that I'm a dessert fiend, I practically begged my boyfriend to come with me here (he's not very big on desserts) during a visit to San Diego last summer; the next morning, I'd be flying back to the northeast, so I just couldn't let the chance to try out a place entitled 'Extraordinary Desserts' slip through my fingers.
Once we arrived, it took a ridiculously long time to get seated (and there wasn't really anyone else waiting). That was strike one. Once we did get seated, I was flabbergasted when my inquiry about a dessert menu was met with a reply that they don't have one -- we had to walk up to the glass case in the front and choose. I didn't really like that concept at all because I like to read menu descriptions to make a fully-informed decision, not to mention it entailed us immediately getting up from the table we waited so long to finally sit at. Strike two. Once we got our desserts, I found that they were just too rich and too sweet for my tastes (and I have a sweet tooth!). That was strike three.
Sorry, I'm just not a fan.
