Ummmm...I guess that I got what I paid for. You have your mini kitchen but very plain style. My first expression of walking in was "Hmmmmm...(o.0)" The room is like a studio apartment without the fashion glam. The environment just gave me the feeling of coldness like it's just not a friendly vibe. Receptionist lady wasn't even smiling. BOOOO!!!!
Bed is hard. Comforter is not even snuggly. Bathroom is like whatever. I wish they just put more effort dolling up the place. I stayed at the Hilton and Redisson before which is a couple of blocks down the street, and from downgrading to this was like funny. I thought going $40 cheaper would give me the same hospitality like those two hotels but apparently not.
Another depressing part is the walls are like hallow. My friends and I were pre-partying already before the club, so we were all goofing around and being loud, and for some weird apparent reason my cousin decided to slam me on the bed. I screamed and 2 minutes later some random lady knocked and asked, "I heard a scream! Is everyone alright?" So If you're deciding to be loud, wrestle or have some rough sex...I wouldn't recommend this place. Everyone can hear what you are doing. I was staying here for a club bday party, so I can just walk home drunk and wishing I won't get lost. (No DUI's, be safe) so that was the good part about it, well it was a 5 minutes walk compared to redisson hotel, like I said you get what you paid for.
It's just plain Yuck! Funny smell too! -

eeek! we stayed here for 5 weeks last summer and are back...not because we love it, but because that is what the boss pays for!
good points...
it is clean enough...i dont want my kids rolling around on the floor, but the bed is clean
there is a Carl's Jr in the parking lot...not the worst fast food
wifi internet is a flat per stay rate (like $5)...so that is super cheap for 5 weeks! the rate is per device though, so only for hubby's laptop...not mine..no biggie though.
full kitchen so we bring all our own food.
very good price ..
bad points...
you hear everything in the room's adjacent and above you...every move they make, every flush they make i'll be listening to them...
if anyone on the floor is smoking in their room..it travels through the vents into our bathroom...easy solution...leave lights/fan on ALWAYS! yes i know that is not "green" of me...but that's better than inhaling cancer smoke in a nonsmoking room...
last year...fire alarm went off at 3 am and kept going for almost 30 minutes...
again this past sunday, around noonish...lasted closer to 45 minutes..and it is deafening...the alarm are going off in the every room plus in the halls...you can't escape it.
they do serve "breakfast' (muffins) m-f...but if you dont get one of the initial 12 muffins put out at the crack of dawn, you get nothing...they do not refresh at all...(but it's supposed to go till 10)
no pool....booo!!!
since they only change linens/towels & clean once a week...i brought tons of paper towels & clorox wipes for cleaning in between. however if you really want clean towels...you can go to the front desk and swap yours out...that's nice of them =)
nothing much else to say....i'm sure i'll update...4 weeks left to go here. -

This place is a hostel for business travelers. I stayed for three weeks.
Amenities are basic: bed, bathroom, fridge, kitchenette. If you plan on cooking, open the windows or risk setting off the smoke alarm. Not that I did that or anything.
There is a community laundry facility and vending machine on-site, and wifi for your whole stay is $4.99.
Yay: Close to Costa Mesa and its shopping and eating opportunities.
Boo: No DVD player or many channels to choose from on TV. -

Like the first reviewer, I'm a little torn about the rating. I don't think it was a 2 star but I don't think it was a 3 star either. So, let's say it's a 2.5 star and we'll be square.
Reserved this room for a quickie stay so in that respect for the location, room rate and room condition, this place was a-ok. Overall, the experience just left me a little ho-hum.
Check-in was uneventful. Not really greeted warmly or coldly but indifferently. I understand that there's a job to be one but when you were in an industry called "hospitality" warmth is a must. Add to that that woman who checked us in ANNOUNCED our room number loud and clear for the world to hear. Security precautions were very low.
The have old school keys. They are so old that when we came back down to tell them it didn't work, she had to come up and re-key our door.
Getting back into the hotel "after-hours" was a little scary. The front door was locked and the side door locks were broken so that it opened without the use of a key. DANGER WILL ROBINSON! Lucky I wasn't staying by myself.
I paid a "no-frills" price and got a no-frills room. That's a-ok in my book. -

id like to say the location of this hotel is in an industrial area and not with in walking distance to food other than, fast food.
if i could give it less stars i would.
first off i was not picky so i let price line find me a hotel cheep. i wasnt expecting much.... but i got wayyyyy more than i bargained for.
first off i stayed in room 322 and it smelled like the person before me was a hardcore smoker..... there was no screens on my windows which sucked because it was nice out and the smell needed to air out. theres no smoking rooms in CA as far as i know. either way this one reeked and was in need of fabreeze throughout.
the power went out short it after 4pm and a lady was trapped in an elevator for 45 min.
glad it wasn't me but i thought it should be noted.
the staff was unfriendly and not helpful the people beneath us were pounding on the celling for god knows what reason, and i asked the front desk to do something about it and the woman ignored me.
the internet connection i pay $5 for was slow and laggy, i could not watch netflix on my computer at all.
the BEST PART IS THE HOTEL CHARGED ME TWICE i payed for the room trough priceline, and when i checked out..... they charged me again for my stay. though priceline my room was $45/night it was on par with a motel 6, and should have been 25 bux a night or less. -

I stayed at this place in May and have only had a chance now to write a review. Now I was looking for somewhere to stay in the Newport beach/Irvine area that was reasonably priced so I was not expecting anything amazing, but even with that in mind I was very disappointed. This place is badly in need of refurbishment and the entire hotel especially the third floor where we stayed has a smell that I can't even describe. To this day I still can't figure out what it was, suffice to say it was a very unpleasant smell. When I go again I will definitely not stay here. If you are considering this place do yourself a favor and pay an extra $10-$20 a night and stay somewhere else. Saving a few dollars won't make up for the disappointment this place will leave you with.
