Very pleased with the work. My carpets were extraordinarily stained after my tenants moved out. I knew it would be an intense job to return them anywhere near normal.
Ofer knows the business, and I'd say his greatest strength is setting the customer's expectations. From price (very fair) to process to results, he explains it all thoroughly, and also provides all the customer's options should there be any unclear issues.
I was very comfortable working with him. He's transparent, hardworking, and honest.
Lastly, my carpets are vastly improved, and most of it is as good as new. -

Great service!! I had had the carpets cleaned 3 times before Ofer came to my abode. The stain in the beige carpet in the sunroom had become family. We called it Midge. Ofer came over, was quite OCD about the whoe carper cleaning thing, which he should be since it is what he does! When he left, we noticed Midge had moved on too. Midge was gone! He's been here 3 times since. cleaned out the stains from the aging and incontinent dog, the messy boarder who rented the downstairs room and other dirt that just came over and never left.
His prices are reasonable considering he did what no other carpet cleaner could do. Definately 5 stars -

Ofer of Expert Clean and Green is incredible! My son spilt milk on his carpet and "forgot" about it-- until it started smelling to high heaven that is. I tried EVERYTHING to get the smell out and ended up staining the carpet. Ofer got the smell and the stain out! He was quick, reasonably priced, professional and pleasant. I will definitely call Ofer for any future carpet cleaning needs.

Ofer worked magic on my carpets. I consider him only one rung short of a deity. He was everything you'd expect -- professional, courteous, a font of information, honest, on time, and rather funny to boot -- plus he worked magic on our carpet of horrors. We have a white wool carpet, which apparently is very easy to stain. Over the last 5 years we have had a few unfortunate accidents -- beer, coffee, cleaning products that bleached rather than cleaned it, and recently thick black car grease in the form of shoe prints up and down the hall. It was a mess and we had already tried another carpet cleaner with no luck. We called Ofer and he was very realistic, even pessimistic, about the results he might achieve. He practically tried to talk us out of moving ahead with the cleaning because he didn't want us to waste our money. But we went for it -- and he got EVERY SINGLE STAIN OUT. I was shocked and thrilled and I can't say enough good things about his service. In addition to all those good things, he uses only green products and he offers free consultations for existing clients when you buy a new carpet or when you get a bad stain. He's a true gem. Highly, highly recommend.

Ofer came in and cleaned all of the carpets in our Sunset home. I am a General Contractor, so I, over the years, have gotten to be pretty good at spotting sketchy people.
Ofer is a good man. He also does a fantastic job on carpets, and is very honest. He is an expert at his trade.
I appreciate honesty and a friendly demeanor; throw in fantastic carpet cleaning, and I give 5 stars...
I never met the guy before, but I used him based on Yelp reviews. He is the only man for me, in the future for carpet cleaning in San Francisco.... seriously.

It's hard to imagine better carpet cleaning service.
My carpets hadn't been cleaned in longer than I care to admit. OK, ever. My kids had stained them and my dogs and cats - well, you get the idea.
Ofer not only got my carpets cleaner than I thought possible, but he gave me all kinds of useful advice on how to keep them that way. He really knows his stuff and enjoys sharing it.
I won't wait as long for the next cleaning, and it'll be Ofer who does the work. -

I hadn't had my carpet cleaned in 5 years since moving into the apartment. Through those five years, I got two cats and a dog, which had to be house broken. The dog had a few accidents in the house, and while I knew going into this that no amount of carpet cleaning was going to get the stains out, I am seriously impressed with what Ofer has managed to do to my carpet!. If you need your carpet cleaned, go to this guy. He is professional and friendly! He came and looked at the place after giving me an estimate over the phone, and when he measured out the square footage, he found the area to be cleaned smaller than my guesstimation. Ofer lowered the price to match the actual square footage!
Ofer also told me normally they charge a little extra for walk ups (my apartment building doesn't have an elevator). He said since he forgot to ask me, he wasn't going to charge me the extra for the walk up!
Overall, I am a very happy customer! Like other folks have said, if I could give him a six, I would. -

I'd give him six if I could. Ofer IS an expert, the real Rug Doctor. There are so many fly-by-night companies out there, but this man is a complete standout in his area of expertise. His prices are in line with the competitors, but I can guarantee you that his service, advice and follow up are well beyond what anyone would expect.
He left us with a big spray bottle of carpet cleaner, as well as doing a hands on demo of how to use it and how best to care for our carpet. He followed up with a detailed email about carpet care with pets in the house, as well as more useful information by mail.
He was early for the appointment, worked quickly but thoroughly, and was just a really smart and engaging man. Ofer is the only person you should call in San Francisco for your cleaning needs. -

I found Ofer on Yelp and I have to say, I was not disappointed. Ofer took time with me over the phone to understand my needs. He gave me a quote then and there but made it clear that he couldn't guarantee anything until he saw the job. On the day of the appointment, he arrived right on time and explained everything to me and gave me a very helpful demo on how to spot treat my own carpets. He was fast, thorough and extremely professional. He even came in under budget! I would definitely recommend Expert Clean & Green and will be using them again.

Excellent, meticulous service by an expert who is reliable, personable and ethical.
We have a 14-year-old couch and two cats and two kids. Numerous accidents -- some too gross to mention -- have occurred on this couch. In photographs I realized it was coated with layer over layer over layer of grime. Embarrassing, but we couldn't afford to replace it.
So we called Ofer and he did a terrific job of cleaning our rug and cleaned one modest area of our couch for free and told us to think about whether it was worth our while to go ahead and have the entire sofa cleaned. He warned us it wouldn't look as good as new. But ... we hadn't expected that anyway.
We decided to go ahead and $230 later we now have a decent couch that we think will keep us covered for another couple of years. Highly recommended. -

Ofer gave me an exhaustive analysis of the challenges my carpet would pose to him, and then proceeded to make it look better than I've ever seen it. He even revived a 40-year old chair that I'm irrationally fond of. He performed all of his magic with quality, natural products. His services would be a bargain at twice their price.

What a great job by a nice man! I was house-sitting and stained the white couch (of course). I called Expert Clean & Green and Ofer was able to fit me in the next morning. There were no false promises or gimmicks - this guy is really up front and educated me on options and managed my expectations (= no guarantees). He gave me a great deal and the stain came out!!!! What a great job! I'm saved!

Ofer did such a good job that I feel like I owe him a review. He arrived on time, and asked me if I was interested in how to remove new stains from carpets and then proceed to give me a demo and a bottle of cleaner as a gift. He was very thorough and did a great job cleaning my old and worn-out carpets. He got out almost all the stains out and it felt warm and snuggly again after he's done. I am sure I will be calling him again when the next cleaning is due.

Ofer removed all traces of bulldog slobber from my fifteen-foot, micro-suede wildebeest of a sofa. Not an easy job. He wasn't cheap, but he's prompt, professional and 'meticulous' doesn't begin to describe his work. Call him.

I'd given up on carpet cleaners but Ofer worked miracles. First, he saved a velvet sofa my cat peed on. And today he cleaned new life into carpet I'd begun to hate and think may be worse than the airport in the Kansas City airport (not pretty and certainly not clean). And he doesn't ruin anything while cleaning... no dings on the walls, no scratches, no damage to furniture. A real professional and surpassed my expectations.

Five years ago we moved to a house with white carpets -a nightmare to keep clean! Even with a 'no shoes in the house' policy, our carpet gets grimy quite quickly. We decided to see what an expert cleaning could do for the carpet.
Ofer came out and did an outstanding job on cleaning the entire carpeted area. He uses products friendly to the environment and friendly to your carpet too! His work is meticulous and we couldn't get over the fact that he was so willing to give us tips and advice about how to look after the carpet. We were also amazed how the carpet bounced into life after the work -it looked brand new and was super cushiony!
I would highly recommend Expert Clean & Green. They may not be the cheapest but they offer extraordinary service which is why we have remained a loyal customer. -

Calmly talked me down when I returned home from vacation to discover a cat-soiled couch. Explained my options, in detail, allowing me to determine the best solution. I didn't end up using him for upholstery cleaning this time, since I think the self-treatment he recommended will actually work, but his attentive and friendly response ensures that I definitely will call them first when I do need professional cleaning.

What an awesome company and owner! We hired Expert Clean & Green when our son's preschool had a new carpet put in. The parents were very concerned with the off gassing. Ofer, the owner, was so wonderful and helpful. He was extremely honest and knowledgeable. He was flexible with his schedule and took our job very seriously and was able to come clean the school with just a days notice. We feel very satisfied with the results and happy that he did not use any harmful chemicals.

Simply awesome. Next time I need to clean my carpet I'm not going to think twice about calling Ofer. VERY consultative and will tell you everything you want to know - and more - about what he's doing, how it works, and what you can do to keep it up. VERY punctual, service oriented, knowledgeable, and gave me a great price. Don't think twice. Just call him. One thing, I recommend you take a pass on looking at what came out of your carpet if he asks. I'm still debating if it was worth it ;)

Ofer did a great job- I concur with many of the other reviewers- I thought that there was no hope for my carpet, it was just gross in some parts- but I rent so my landlord would not replace it - so I decided to spend the money and get it cleaned, I did check one other place that was less expensive, they cleaned my apartment's common areas like the stairs- and their estimate was lower, but the rug in the common areas looks ok, not great- so I decided to spend the extra money and I am really glad that I did. He got out all the stains and it looks amazing, and it was pretty quick and easy to schedule too. I would definitely recommend this company!

I have been using Ofer (owner of Expert Clean & Green) for more than 6 years to clean my wall to wall carpets. I have some synthetic but also some wool carpets (which need special care). Ofer knows exactly what to use on each carpet; what will get out one kind of stain versus another. He has all of his products with him and will continue to work on stubborn stains as long as is necessary. He is extremely detailed - many times noticing very slight stains in places that I didn't even notice. He is definitely an expert. My rugs are left amazingly clean. I love that he uses green products and has the safety of my pets and children in mind. I will never go anywhere else.

Ofer from Expert Clean & Green has cleaned our carpets half a dozen times and some upholstery too. He is meticulous, explains every step of the cleaning process and has successfully removed some pretty bad spills. Red wine, cat vomit, cat urine and cat poop for example. He is also cost conscious and punctual. I recommend him highly.

Ofer has been taking care of my home and carpets for about 15 years. I trust him COMPLETELY, and he always gives me excellent service and endeavors to leave my carpets as clean as they can possibly be. Ofer arrives when he says he will, and is precise and exact in his work and in his business practices. He even came by to help me right after a large "red wine emergency", and got the entire stain out of a white wool carpet. Ofer is amazing, and he is always working to incorporate newer, better and safer products for my home, my family and my pets into his already excellent carpet cleaning business.

Ofer has come to my house several times now. He did a fantastic job on what I thought was permanently stained/worn carpet. It came out like new. And, the carpet was not of a quality I thought would ever come back to life. But it did. Very impressed. It hadn't been cleaned for 4 years with two little kids and lots of visiting friends beating on it. He also did an expensive wool oriental rug for me. Beautiful. Also, the carpet is not left wet, but just the slightest bit damp to the touch. It fully dried in 12 hours (On a SF foggy day). He gave me paper booties so I can go about my business :) He was great about moving furniture around and taking care of baseboards and so on. He is a delight to talk with and gives great education on rugs and carpets as far as what to buy and how to clean. Prompt as well. I will have him return every six months or so.
