I have high standards for cosmetic treatments, and I highly recommend Ashia from Exotic Faces. She is a very professional, punctual, and skilled esthetician.
I got my lashes done at a booth she had at a private event I attended. No pain and beautiful results as promised!
I have now tried both the regular glue and the stronger glue for the lashes. The weaker glue is only good for a weekend, but it won't take off any of your own lashes along the way.

I went there for lashes extensions, and here is what I think...
Pros:
*It's right off the freeway; less than 1 miles off 880.
*Easy to find.
*Great staff; nice, friendly, professional, knowledgeable, etc.
*Wonderful results!!!
*Better pricing than most of other places.
Cons:
There's only 1 con I can say about this place, and that is, it's really not the most comfortable bed to be lying on for 2 1/2 hours, and the sheets look due for wash.
The other thing that I think some people might not be fond about, which though I really don't mind, is that it's just a small room inside of a salon, and it's also next to a big street where you'll hear cars and trucks driving by.
If you just want the job done, this is the place for you; if you want the job AND some spa-feel, then you need to give a second thought.
I loved my 3-D lashes by Aisha!
(I averaged five-stars for the lashes themselves with three-stars for the salon experience and that's where I arrived at four-stars)
These lashes were incredibly natural looking, smokin' gorgeous and I would absolutely have them still if I wasn't so cheap/busy. The price is excellent for real individual eyelash extensions but still a bit too pricey for me as an ongoing thing. They last OK but realistically you do need to have them maintained every two to three weeks. Each session takes between and hour and a half and two hours. So you have to have the time and patience to hold still that long that often.
If you don't mind spending 2-3 hours and $100-$150. a month to keep up the look, you will have the most stunning eyelashes in the world. I really felt gorgeous.
I went to the San Leandro (I think, somewhere down there) and the Richmond locations and neither were terribly luxurious or spa like. I really didn't mind that though.

Thanks to previous reviewers for recommending this place! It's worth saying again that this is not a spa experience, this is a small room within Vizions hair salon. I had my lash extensions done by Renaye who is wonderful, warm and friendly. My eyelashes are already long so we didn't add any length, just more lashes. The result is stunning and looks natural. I was worried about them being uncomfortable but they're not at all and the procedure itself is a breeze.
I had a wonderful facial from Aisha. I enjoyed the quaint salon setting and Aisha's warm spirit was welcoming. Facial, shoulder massage, relaxing music...ahhhh....i was in the zone
Ashia is a consummate professional. She's warm and friendly, but not overly chatty. She has an excellent touch. I was thrilled with the facial I received and love the result of her brow attention.
The only reason I did not give my experience a 5 star rating, is that because she is the sole proprietess, the phone is located in the treatment room and Ashia must answer it. That coupled with the lively salon next door does somewhat impede on the oasis that has been so carefully constructed.
With that said, however, these distractions would not prevent me from returning.
Got lash extensions yesterday. I was curious about this, so when I read that Goldstar was offering a discount, I booked an appt.
First impression was so-so. The location in Emeryville is convenient for me, but the actual spa is in a condo building where you need to be buzzed in using a code. The door buzzer was not working properly, so I frantically tried finding the phone number on my blackberry. Goldstar did not list the phone number in my confirmation and it was really hard to locate the number on the website. Finally, a man came along and opened the door--I followed. He asked me if I was able to get a hold of my "guest" and when I said no, he told me I must leave! First off, I AM the "guest" and second, I was wearing a $350 jacket and $200 shoes. Did I appear to be threatening or perhaps a hoodlum? Regardless, I went back outside and continued to search for the direct phone number. 10 minutes had passed and I was getting really irritated and I just about left, but then finally found a phone number. I called and was finally buzzed in.
Upon entering, Ashia explained that the buzzer was broken and that Goldstar does not provide the customer's phone number, so there was no way to contact me. Fine. I'll get over the rude man, but I found that even though it was now 15 min past my appt time, there was still another customer ahead of me. I waited another 20 minutes until she was ready for me. Ugh!! I took time off of work to be there and to be there on time! I hate having to wait for an appointment that I am paying good money for!
The actual procedure was relaxing and Ashia was very pleasant and professional. My lashes look amazing, although three have already fell out and it's been less than 24 hours.
I will update in a week or so. Hopefully it will be worth the money and initial frustration!
I went to Ashia for lash extensions and was very impressed. I hadn't had extensions before so I don't have a comparison but I have been to numerous spas/salons and this was a very relaxing environment. Ashia is very gentle and so sweet but also professional. Her salon is quite and she made me feel very comfortable. I went on my lunch break and was in and out fast for my re-application after 2 weeks.
I have tried Aisha a few times and I like her lashes because they last longer than the ones I used to get. I had lash ext. for a year before I found Aisha. The girl I went to before put the Flares (lashes with more than one hair) on top of my real lashes. Aisha puts them under lash line. They lasted longer. She also gives you a choice of the type of glue you want to use. Ardell is the cheaper one which will only last you a week but if you are really careful they can keep for up to 2 weeks. I think a second choice that I wanted to do but she never had the glue available was 3D lash glue. She used Nova Lash glue on me which is really strong, make your eyes burn and water if you are sensitive but it lasts like 3-4 weeks. Longer if you are real careful with them. This is suppose to be the strongest glue on the market and they say it is also does not have formaldehyde like the other brands which can cause cancer or be toxic if probably used for long periods of time. That's the price we pay for beauty.
I think her prices are reasonable esp. for the flares and she's fast. The girl I went to before took 1/12 - 2 hours to apply flares. Aisha takes 30-40 minutes.
I also like the eyebrow wax she did on me.
If she had a location closer to Fremont I would totally see her on a regular.
Exotic Faces Lash and Brow Bar was hosting a spa party at the Vine Wine Bar that I was lucky enough to attend. There, I was treated to a massage, foot treatment, and complimentary hand treatment. I could fill the whole page about my experience but I'll keep it short and say the treatments were incredible. I have had massages before at the big casinos and at various places in Napa, but never have I had such a relaxing and soothing experience as I had with Exotic Faces. The staff was very professional, friendly, and, for the size of the party (50+ women), they were well organized. My only regret is that I didn't sign up for Aisha's eyelash enhancement or for a facial early enough to ensure a spot for that particular day. But that's okay because I definitely plan to pay Exotic Faces a visit in the near future. Even though I didn't try all their treatments, I've seen their work and I would highly recommend Exotic Faces to anyone looking for high quality spa treatments.
Extremely professional. Enjoyable and relaxing experience as well as a great value. I have received tons of compliments and highly recommend Ashia.
