I really love this spa. Especially for massages, facials and facial waxing. Everyone here is so nice and accommodating. The rooms look brand new, clean, designed and relaxing. I've been to other spa's in the city for various treatments and this one right in Marin feels more inviting. You can pop right in for anything or make a day of it. It does have competitive prices but the service is worth it. They have wonderful products, I received a kit of honey papaya products from this spa for a gift over the holidays and they're awesome! My mom just went on their retreat up in Stinson Beach for four days and loved it. They are such a high quality spa.

Agreed go somewhere else! The front staff is rude and hardly worth the price of paying for a service for bad customer service!

GO TO BLUE MERCURY INTSTEAD!  This place would get negative stars if possible because of poor customer service.  I was a repeat customer for several treatments and unfortunately one incident ruined this.  I was booked for a service and when I showed up (early) and I found out that my appointment was booked incorrectly and that no one could do the service I originally wanted.  Well, I talked to management and found out that they have no idea what customer service is and they totally blamed thei employee.  Hey don't blame the employee when they are representing your business...

Everyone here is really nice & I've never had a bad treatment.

I've been sprayed head to toe for a golden glow, I've been waxed & tinted & massaged & bought great gifts here.

Just Evo's little front shopping area is wonderful (robes, candles, jewelry, handbags...), but the back is really where it's at. Just pass through those incredible doors & you'll be in heaven. All the rooms are so nice & like I said, everyone is friendly.

This is no Massage Envy. You get what you pay for here, too. The price is well worth it.

Crystal is my favorite for lash tints & waxes, but I don't always get her & I still leave satisfied.

Why only 4 stars? I've ordered clothing items from Evo & they've never called to tell me that the item has arrived. I figure this is a good thing since I have long spent the money on something else like food.

I have a list of how to take charge of my life which I really want to do.  So, on a mental health 24hr sabbatical, I decided to write said list down.  It goes something like this:

Laundry
Closet Organization
Drop off to Goodwill
Gym
House Cleaning
Pay Bills
Stop ruining your life (just for kicks)

So, after sputtering around my house for an hour or so, eating yogurt, checking Yelp about 43 times and not accomplishing anything of substance, I decided that I needed to scratch the whole "get my life together" game plan and do something that in no way benefits society or the good of humanity.

Therapeutic Massage for Rachel.  It's always all about me.

For some reason I always get the hottest masseuses.  There was petite French Claire.  There was Nordic Swen with the biggest hands (and I'm sure it didn't stop there) that I've ever seen.  There was good ol' American Andrew -- who I'm sure saw my boobs.  Whatever.  He was so hot, I would have paid him...

Oh wait.  I did.

And then today, there was Iris.

Iris.  Not hot.  Looked like my mom.  Demure, slightly spiritual and quiet.  I was skeptical.  I like it hard.  I like it deep.  Iris didn't seem like the type that would make me her massage bitch...

I was wrong.

Iris has the Kung Fu grip.  Iris knows the pressure points that make your eyes roll back in your head, while you lose all feeling in your legs.  Iris knows how to rub and tug with the best.  I might have called Iris "Daddy" at some point during our all too brief hour sesh.

My life is still in shambles, but thanks to Evo, I'm going down knot free with a touch more debt and a new lesbian crush.

This place was tucked away in the Strawberry Village but easy to find.  I was a little unsure of what to do but the staff was very friendly and soon put me at ease!  The classic facial was wonderful but I ended up with more irritation then I started with, but it could have just been my skin clearing up.  I felt great and my skin was glowing two days after my session!  The music was a little too mellow for me, but it was a tranquil environment and I knew that going in.  Overall, a very pleasurable experience and I would definitely return!

The employees at Evo are super friendly and accomodating.  Nobody is stuck up or bitchy.  They never pressure you into buying products and for the most part, all of my waxings have been relatively bareable.  And bikini waxes here aren't super expensive for the quality and space that they offer.  When I enter this place, I feel so relaxed.  I got my first massage here as well, and the woman I had was very professional.  Definitely one of the best spas in marin, if not the bay area.

got a gift certificate for a mama-to-be massage.  now - for that to really rock - you need the pillows where you can lie on your tummy (a rarity for us bump-beholden).  my massueur  (Raul) was very nice and had a great touch - but didn't seem to know the best way to make a pregnant woman comfortable (with the set up) and he avoided my butt like the plague (helllooo - isn't that the largest muscle in the body???  it needs to be massaged!!).

it wasn't the greatest, and it certainly wasn't the worst.  it was a solid mediocre.

i got another gift certie here (us preggo's are desperate for massages) - so i'm going to try someone else and see if they are worthy of a massage entitled "Mama To Be".

With the help of a friend in the city who actually has wheels, I hauled my cookies all the way over the bridge to Evo Day Spa to try out accupuncture for the first time. (Spa Week special).

I loved it.  This was my first time.  The accupuncturist took time to ask me what my needs were, and just made me feel okay with the fact that I'd have needles poking out of me for the next hour or so.  She explained to me what it would feel like, and minimized any kind of fear.  I didn't think it hurt at all actually, although I did feel it in some of the pressure spots.   After she poked the needles, she left me alone to chill out in the room to relaxing music, and I straight up fell asleep.  (This is major because I'm not one to fall asleep anywhere else but my bed, and class on occasion) ...

If I could, I'd take out just 1/2 a star, because the lobby area was a little loud (you can hear people walking by outside), although I've heard they usually turn on a little waterfall wall thing that might cut down on the noise.  I spoke with another lady who was waiting for massages, and she said their massages were great ...

The place was non-pretentious, bright, and the people were not intimidating.  You can tip on credit card too!  Although she mentioned a product - she did not make me feel like I had to walk out of there with any product.

Overall, I had a great time.  I was a little skeptical after my bad experience at Kamalaspa the day before with another Spaweek special, but Evo Day Spa more than made up with their great service and relaxing accupuncture session.

So last year was really stressful, to the point of causing anxiety.  I decided 2007 would be different and decided to become a spa whore (with some secret financial help of course).  So, I just have to say that so far, Evo is one of my favorite whoring spots.

I have been here three times.  Now, it's a small spa, and maybe not the place to go relax ALL DAY.  But, if you book one or two treatments, you're good to go.  They have tea or flavored water for you in the lounge.  There's a cute little shop to browse through when you first walk in.  But the best part are the rooms!  they are oval shaped and relaxing.  I think they have pics of them on their website.  Anyway, they are simple, yet so different and calming.

Ok, the first treatment I had was a facial (wouldnt you know, I forgot her name).  She was a sweetheart too, but this was over a month ago.  Anyway, my skin glowed (and I have acne prone/dryish skin).  But the treatment was in a regular room.

The next time I had a massage with Donna.  Donna was sweet, but she had such a soft touch I barely knew I had a massage.  Oh well.  If you like that sort of thing, she's your girl - other wise go for Jackie.  My boyfriend is in love with Jackie.  He always wants to go to her because she knows how to massage him right (ok, calm your dirty minds).

The last treatment I had was the Orange Blossom scrub.  Yahoo!  I never had a scrub before, but it was so much fun!  Bf was supposed to have Jackie for massage, but she did my treatment (haha).  Anyway, they start with a dry scrub, then a salt scrub, then wrap you in a blanket and leave you for 15 or so minutes.  It's done on this crazy water bed massage table thing that they turn on and it massages you.  Ahhh. .. I was so bummed out when it stopped.  Anyway, while that bed is doing it's thing, the room fills up with steam.  Then you get up, shower off (in the same room) and then they moisturize you on that bed again.  I was glowing after and my skin was so soft.  I love it, love it, love it.  I want one of those beds.

And one last thing -- they have awesome hours.  You can go in there right before they close, have a nice treatment, have a bite to eat after (or before), and lull yourself to sleep for the night. . .ahhhhh.  None of this spa treatment in the middle of the day crap.  Unless that's what you want - cause they have that too!

A gem of a place, though you'd never know it from the modest little soaps and candles place it appears to be from the front. Behind the spa door, however, is a lush, plush, warm welcoming beautiful facility. Even the inside waiting room is gorgeous.. with tea, water, plush cushions and ambience. My dear friends gave me spa-finder gift certificates, so I had a 90 minute therapeutic massage with... Iris... who's a mountain biker with incredibly strong hands and thorough knowledge of trigger points, chakras, and the like, yet has the soul of a watercolor artist (which she is). Am sending S/O to Iris for a facial and aromatherapy massage (Iris' specialty). Make an advance rezzie though... this place is becoming understandably busy.

this is a very nice, somewhat pricey spa. Unfortunately they have an extremely rude woman working at the front desk who acted like i was so annoying for buying 300 dollars worth in treatments. When i said thank you politely as i left she said "You're welcome" like it was such a chore to help me!!!!!
