When I arrived back home after a grueling trip to Austin, Texas in July - all I wanted was some nice, light Thai fare to soothe my tired and warn out soul. The neighborhood place I usually frequent - Hello Sushi - was closed for the July 4 holiday so I decided to give Grub Hub a try. I saw their ad on the Blue Line coming in from O'Hare. So glad I did!
The service was awesome -- I ordered online and voila! Around 20 minutes later, here came my fresh, hot, piping Thai food! So delicious, too! Got some free crab rangoon for ordering $15 worth of food. I got the fried rice (yum!), Pad Thai (extra yum!) and a veggie dish that chicken was added to. This food will last all week.
The delivery guy was friendly and courteous, too! Definitely will order again and will most likely visit the restaurant. -

I originally gave this place a 5 star.
But after eating at this place for multiple times,
I will never go back here again.
The same entree tastes different each time when I went there.
Also, I found a dead 'roach' inside my takeout order.
I doubt that they maintain their kitchen clean.

Had the dumplings, crab rangoon, and the gai tod. All of it was fried, and all of it was good.
The gai tod was the most intriguing. Just simple fried chicken, but in a Thai style. Hard to explain why it's unique...but it was delicious.
Also had a salak fruit drink. I don't know what a salak is, but it makes a tasty cold drink. Very interesting flavor, reminded me of tasting lychee for the first time. -

Delicious :] stopped by yesterday and ordered crab rangoons and an eggplant dish. It was cheap and yummy.

I love thai food. I especially love cheap delicious thai food!
My favorites from everyday thai are the eggplant with black bean sauce and the spicy basil fried rice. Love them. I also really enjoy their shrimp shumai and crab ragoons. This is saying a lot because I actully don't like crab ragoons at all, but for some reason, and I can't explain it, I really like theirs. My intensions are to try everything on the menu, but everytime I'm there I cannot help but order the eggplant or fried rice...so YUM!
The staff is really friendly and accommodating, I've never left this place unhappy. Additionally, if you don't want to dine in, you can get a free appetizer if your order is at least $15! I love free! -

Let me start by stating that I enjoyed my meal and will order from Everyday Thai again. The food was good, fast (to my door in about 30 minutes vs. the 60 minute quote from Grubhub), and still hot/cold (when appropriate) upon arrival. I am a chef in a high-end Chicago restaurant, I love good food, and I try to be objective, intelligent and honest in my critiques.
For $27 dollars (including delivery fee) I was able to order 5 items, which more than fed myself and my girlfriend. I ordered the fresh spring rolls, the kanom jeeb (shrimp shu mai), chicken larb salad, red curry with beef, thai iced tea, and crab Rangoon (the Rangoon was free with any purchase of $15 or more)
The spring rolls were nice and fresh- containing chunks of carrot, cucumber, avocado, and tofu. They were accompanied by a sweet/savory dipping sauce that was laced with chopped roasted peanuts. Not the best that I've had (I would have enjoyed a bit of mint and cilantro mixed in with the rolls for added freshness) but not bad.
The shrimp shumai were also tasty and fresh. The shumai were served with a nice, light sauce that tasted of soy, nam pla and citrus. A sprinkling of sesame seeds would have added a nice texture and nutty flavor, but that's just my opinion.
The larb salad (i've always known it to be spelled laab) was tasty, though could have been tastier. I had to squeeze a lime over the meat to add that expected acidic puch to contrast the mint, onion and nam pla- No biggie.
The red curry was quite tasty, but again, not the best or most flavorful that I have had. They say that their curries are blended in-house, and if this is true, then I do applaud their efforts. Most Thai restaurants do nothing more that to use pre-blended spice pastes. While these pastes are flavorful, they require no skill to prepare- I respect the fact the this restaurant takes the time to blend their own spices.
The crab Rangoon (3 pieces, with a nice dipping sauce) was free with my order. They arrived crisp on the outside, creamy and crabby on the inside. No complaints. A nice touch and a nice way to increase the perceived value of this meal.
My Thai iced tea arrived as is they had made it outside my door- the ice cubes were still quite whole (no meltage due to premature beverage assembly) and had not watered down the tasty liquid. The restaurant even taped over the straw-hole and wrapped the beverage in its own little baggie to ensure that the beverage would be full and intact upon arrival- a nice touch, if you ask me. -

I hate to do this, really. When my first experience with a place is through delivery, I prefer to go eat in the restaurant afterward to get a balanced view. But this food was so forgettable, I can't see myself spending any more time and money sampling more of it.
I will say that I appreciate any joint that is available through GrubHub, and delivery was fast and friendly. From there it was mostly downhill.
They had an online coupon: various appetizers free with a $15 order. I chose the pork potstickers, which were greasy and porky but not much else. Next up, spring rolls--probably the biggest disappointment of the order. They were dry and flavorless; even the accompanying sauce added almost nothing. What the hell did I pay for? $4.25 for six anemic, flavorless, chewy pieces of dessicated tofu and bland vegetables?
Entrees: chicken pad thai first...no better than the rest. It was slimy and mushy, and when I opened the container, all I could smell was lime. When I discarded the lime, stirred it up, and dug in, all I could taste was...sprouts. Yes, sprouts. When the bean sprouts are the dominating flavor in your pad thai, you have a problem. In general, this stuff was just as bland as the spring rolls, which is inexcusable.
The basil fried rice was much better; in fact, I'll give it a B. It lacked the pop of Thai basil dishes elsewhere, but it had decent flavor and big chunks of vegetables and was not overly greasy.
I had planned to eat the two appetizers and a few bites of each entree and make two lunches out of the rest, and the portions are generous enough to make that work. So I got three meals for my $23, which is not a bad deal. And I will admit that, somehow, the pad thai was marginally better reheated the next day. But even up here in the culinary tundra of Rogers Park, I have several solid Thai restaurants within striking distance, and Everyday does not make the cut. -

We were desparate for something to eat but didn't have an appetite for anything in particular, you know how it goes, something like this:

And so it goes. We drove north on Sheridan, ended up on Devon and this place had lighting visible to the street so we went in.
Probably some of the best curries we've ever had. I had red curry with udon noodles and the man had panang, both amazing. Even the thai iced tea was good and I'm not really into really sweet tea drinks.
Bonus points because they have a website AND take orders via the web. Ka-ching, we have a winner here boys and girls. -

Not bad, but there are better Thai places.
The dishes run to the greasy side, even those with tofu. I usually order Pad Woon Sen and the glass noodles are cooked the way I like them, but the entree seems to be lacking enough of some spice--can't put my finger on what though.
I keep trying appetizers and none have made the grade with me so far--shu mai was water-logged, spring rolls were dry, satay--while tasty--was VERY greasy.
Cucumber salad is always refreshing.
I will continue to order from here for lack of anything better. -

Dude their carpet has springs under it! It was like being in gymnastics class... I walked in and was like, "Heeeey! I feel like I'm in gymnastics! It's like being at a dojo!"
Don't mind me... I'm just being a dork...
So the food is alright... as in, "I want thai... Oh look! there's everyday thai... let's just go there..." I'm at home and it's snowing out so let's get a delivery of something that's close by alright. -

This Thai restaurant has a gimmick - $5.95 for an appetizer & main dish. It's definitely affordable, but on the times I've went, service was especially lacking. Slow service in a restaurant probably 1/4 full on each occasion I've dined there.
Dishes I've tried are mediocre, some lacking flavor, some on the salty side, some just unmemorable. Even their $5.95 special won't bring me back there, after giving this restaurant 3 tries to redeem themselves. I won't be returning to this restaurant as I can find better Thai restaurants where I'd gladly pay more for better food and service. -

worst.thai.food.ever.
Being harsh against a restaurant willing to deliver to my doorstep is not usual for me, but the food was inedible. We found the listing on GrubHub and it was nearby, so we decided to give it a try. Also, a great incentive was the free appetizer coupon if you spend $15.
The food did arrive quickly, within 30 minutes. This is the only positive part of my experience with Everyday Thai. The free appetizer of Crab Rangoon was the box I opened first and to my dismay, there were 3 of the smallest Crab Rangoon I have ever laid my eyes on. They were mostly fried, extra crispy, with very little creamy filling. My husband and I usually fight over this Thai appetizer, but after eating one, I didn't care to eat another.
Chicken Paid Thai was the entree I ordered and it was nearly unrecognizable. It was a gray-brown color and did not look appetizing one bit. I cautiously tried a piece of chicken resting on top and it was overcooked and rubbery. I tried to stir the noodles around, in an attempt to work up the courage to try them and I wasn't able to stir due to the clumped, mushy mess of a sorry excuse for their Pad Thai.
I really hate wasting money. I also was ravenously hungry. In the end, I decided that my dogs would be much more happy eating this than I would. It is a step up from dog food, afterall, but hardly. I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich instead :(
Also of note, my husband ordered the Pad See Ewe. This dish was also unrecognizable, but had greenish colored vegetables that we could somewhat tell where limp broccoli. This also was fed to our dogs.
In closing, my husband also tried the Gai Tod and when he opened the lid to the box, the awful smell emanating from the box was overwhelming. He ended up walking that out to the dumpster so our apartment would not absorb the fried/burned odor.
I will not be giving this restaurant a 2nd chance. It is the first time I have ordered food from GrubHub and found it inedible. -

UPDATE:
The workers at Everyday Thai are SO NICE! Last night my friends and I ordered takeout, and waited in the restaurant for our order. While we were waiting, the cashier came over and served us hot tea. He thanked us for our order, and wished us a Happy New Year. These people give me a really good vibe, and that makes me happy to patronize their business!
And by the way, I ordered the Panang Curry with Tofu... SO DELICIOUS! The spice level was a little higher than I usually go for, but the flavors were so good that it didn't bother me.

Not the BEST thai food in town by far, but it sure hits the spot for a thai food craving. The service does lack enthusiasm, but they let you sit and talk with family and friends for hours after the meal is finished.
I treated my dad, stepmom and their friend to lunch here on a Saturday and with apps, entrees and soft drinks, it was reasonable at around 50 bucks plus tip.
The food is fresh and well seasoned. I'd recommend the Tom Kha soup. The large portion was more than enough for the four of us, and no one could get enough of it!
Now I have a craving for their Tom Kha soup. Great. -

Walked in, pointed at a fews things, payed for a few things, walked out with a few things, and ate a few things. This is how I typically get lunch food that I am not familiar with since I am American and will not research culinary history when I am already hungry.
This place has enthusiastic people when their not busy and it is just lovely. Maybe they understand me, and then again maybe they don't. Either way, they spice up my insides and I will offer my eagle wing for a hand shake anyday to these great citizens. I'll be back when i'm ready to spice my lunch life up again. 4 stars since you're close and always ready to rumble. -

As I familiarize myself with eateries in Edgewater, Rogers Park. I chose this place on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.
The service from placing my order was a bit slow but I'm not complaining as I was in no hurry. The food made up for it.
As an avocado junkie, I started with an avocado roll. Yes, this place has some sushi rolls.
I then ordered my favorite thai dish, pad thai with tofu and it was delicous. I had enough for leftovers and couldn't wait to eat once again.

I've mostly gone here for delivery/take out and have not been disappointed. Delivery is always faster then they predict. My favorite is their Everyday One Star (Panang curry stir-fried with string beans, carrots, green and red bell peppers) however I found their Pad Thai a tad too greasy. The Drunken Noodle is very good.
Service in house is extremely polite, I did not find it too slow.
Over all it's a great value as I always have leftovers.

So I had been going over to Blue Elephant for Thai but one day I decided to order from Everyday Thai instead. I've eaten there three or four times now and I'm glad I made the switch. The service there is extremely friendly, the food is prepared in a timely fashion and the restaurant feels clean. When you go in (and I've just been in there to pick things up and walk home) it's so calm. There's relaxing music playing, fountains trickling, little candles...I feel like I've just been transported into the most relaxing restaurant I've ever been in.
Now, about the food...
That crab rangoon is really good! There's like actual bits of crab and vegetables in there! Delish!! The egg rolls are good, the spring rolls are awesome. The spinach potstickers are pretty good...not super satisfyingly full on the inside but still pretty tasty. I've had a few of the dishes and they're awesome. I'd just mention that when they put a chili pepper by a dish they mean it. I can usually handle spicy but last time I asked if they could just knock it down a little bit in heat. She was happy to oblige. I've had the Thai fried rice (tastier than most fried rices), Panang noodle (delish. real crunchy), ginger chicken (good), one star everyday (rich sauce, spicy, tasty, good amount of vegetables), cashew nut chicken (my boyfriend loves it and i think it's pretty good). They also have these specials all day and night. It's like 5.95 and you get two pieces of appetizers from their list and then your dish of choice. Awesome deal for the $. The boyfriend and I pick different appetizers and share so we each get one of something (last time it was the spinach potstickers and crab rangoon). This way, you get a taste of something without the committment (or guilt).
So, in review: great friendly service, food is fresh and good, good amount of fresh vegetables, meat tastes fresh and not old and sketchy like a lot of places, good on the wallet too. -

I fell for the $5.95 special too! They give you like one dumpling and cut your entree in half. I also carried out a pad kee mao and it was 70% vegetables and 30% noodles. The taste was acceptable, but when I ordered, I was not going for the South Beach diet.

I'm suprized by all the negative reviews on this place. I have only ever used them for delivery but the food is always good quality and delicious. They deliver in a timely fashion and it's cheap. I may not be a Thai food expert but this placed has always met my needs.

i didn't want to be a hater and give this place 1 star, but this is by far the worst thai food i have ever had.
a friend of mine and I went there about 2 weeks ago and ordered panang curry chicken, chicken pad thai and fish cakes. the panang curry was flavorless, watered down yellow swill, the pad thai tasted like that stuff in the box you can get from the grocery store (actually the supermarket stuff tastes better) and don't get me started on the fish cakes. i expected something resembling a crab cake (maybe that was my mistake), but what i got was a silver dollar sized old-fish scented piece of rubber. i took one bite, immediately spit it out and spent the next 15 minutes trying to get that taste out of my mouth.
on a positive note, the fish cakes made the rest of the food not taste as bad. -

Besides the one time that I ordered from here and was told that my order would take close to 2 hours to be delivered, I must say that I am a huge fan of Everyday Thai. Have never been disappointed by any dish here and my tummy has been happy since the first time I ate here. Lovelovelove their pad siew with tofu and green curry!!! It's that delish... I managed to forgive their one-time screwup, since all other subsequent orders for takeout/delivery exceeded my expectations.

Pretty good Thai place in the neighborhood. I wouldn't say I'm blown away by it, but it's decent. I must say, their Wonton Soup is pretty kickin' for a Thai place. The Red and Green Curry are pretty average, I wouldn't write home about them. They're everyday, if you will. I also had a BBQ pork rice bowl from it and the pork was a bit dry, it would have been a lot better if they also provided some sort of sauce for the pork since it was so dry. The dry pork with the bland white rice without any sauce made me regret ordering it.

Cant tell you much about the inside of the restaurant, but I had delivery from here the other day. The person on the phone was very polite and gave me the total of the order also without me having to ask. They estimated the food to arrive in 45min-an hour. But the food got here quick, in about 15 minutes. Delivery guy was realy friendly also. I ordered a crab rangoon, a thai beef friedrice and a thai ice tea. The crab rangoon was really good, and it wasnt greasy or oily at all like alot of other places. The thai fried rice was good to, a little greasy, but plenty of ingrediants, and a huge portion too. The thai ice tea werent bad either. I will order from here again next time.

Food is decent, but portions are kind of small. However, the masaumum curry was a stand out. I would highly suggest this dish. The flavor was great, but there wasn't a whole lot of chicken in the dish. It was basically a great sauce with a handful of boiled chicken and sweet potatoes. I grilled some chicken and threw it in the left over sauce the next day. My husband got the pad thai and it was fine, but a small portion. We won't be going back for the pad thai, but i can't wait to get more of their curry dishes even though they don't have a lot of meat in them.

Great little Thai place. Pat is the nicest! We're on a first name basis, since the first time I came in. She always takes care of me. The delivery guy is very nice too, I'm sorry I can't remember his name. I like the local businesses that actually care about the service and food they provide. I sure can't find that kind of service downtown.

I have to send another shout out to my FAVORITE Thai place, Everyday Thai. My boyfriend and I had quite the splurge last weekend and ordered not once, but twice. Yes, we are Thai gluttons. Please, no judgment. It's just when I get a taste, I want it again and again. I really behave myself, diet-wise, Monday through Friday. So when the weekend comes, I like to treat myself to something yummy and don't feel like cooking. I'll often order several appetizers and entrees and then we munch all weekend long. My favorites are the Pad Thai with Tofu and the Pad Siew with Tofu. I get the Pad Siew with beef for my boyfriend, the carnivore. They are always reliable, which I appreciate. -I've had some places tell me "45 minutes" and then not show up for over an hour. Everyday Thai tells me 45 minutes, and shows up on time. A few times, the manager even threw in a couple of extras to thank me for my repeated purchases....during the same weekend. HEY I SAID NO JUDGMENT OKAY??? ;)

I wanted to like this place because it is close to my home, but the food just isn't very good... Dining in isn't really an option as it is completely unattractive and the window signs buzz extremely loudly. The service was ok...but I hated paying the bill because the food was so mediocre. Having been a frequent patron of Joy's in Lakeview I know that price shouldn't mean sacrificing quality or flavor...this restaurant just didn't cut it! I won't be going back.

This place sucks, I've ordered the curry that is supposed to be mild and I have never been able to finish it because my guts would have killed me. The pad thai is greasy and really none of the food is all that memorable. Service is good if you go there and eat but delivery always screws things up over charges and they are kind of con artists- rude. Skip and go to the new place Hello Sushi!

After trying out a few of the other Thai restaurants in the area I would definitely say that this is my favorite. Their food is flavorful, fresh, arrives promptly (when I've had it delivered) and reasonably priced for generous portions. Unlike a lot of other places when it comes to this popular dish, their Pad Si Ew is never bland or overly sweet and the broccoli is perfectly steamed and there are good amounts of it (as well as for the tofu). Their shrimp shumai are different from most shumai I have had but not in a bad way; good sized, tender dumplings that are well seasoned and served with a delicious light dipping sauce. Their curries are great, lots of bright flavor and never boring or one-dimensional. The only criticism I have are their fresh spring rolls (the rice paper wrapping is usually not soft enough) and their crab rangoon, which are often pretty small. But other than that, I'd say they are solid and would highly recommend them.
