I use to go to Western Dental but every time I had went in to get my teeth cleaned my gums would be bleeding & sore the next day. Soooo I stopped going to the dentist. I was like 10 at the time haha !
Recently my tooth chipped and I thought nothing was wrong with it until it hurt to brush my teeth , rinse my mouth, and even drink room temp water. I pulled out my handy dandy laptop and I found them on here and I liked what I read. I called and they were asking questions to make sure I was going in for the right thing. Setting up an appointment was so EASY ! They had me come in the next day , I was hoping it wasn't gonna be bad at all but I was in for a surprise ! I don't remember the dr's name but she came out and told me I had a cavity.
Whaaaat ?!
I've never had a cavity before ! This was my first one. I needed it filled right away and they were more than okay to do it right there, right now. I didn't know what to except since this was my first one and I was squirming in the seat like a baby when I seen that giant needle ! Oh boy ! but she was able to calm me down in .2 seconds.
I went in a second time to get another cavity filled in since they checked all my teeth to make sure and that visit was to easy !
My third visit was getting my teeth cleaned and xrays. I think it's safe to say I don't mind going to the dentist anymore ! YAY ! The women who work in here are so sweet ! Came out with lots of information about my teeth, I didn't have any questions to ask because they had already answered them for me. Also the assistants are always great to have there ! They are very talkative and that always calms my nerves.
I will be coming back and I'm definitely recommending this place to my friends and family ! -

BEWARE! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL FRONT OFFICE!
I recently had my cleaning and filling 6 months ago. My first experience was an ok, until I started feeling pain a week after my filling. The day after my filling I was already feeling tingly on the tooth that was filled, I thought it was a normal reaction and it would go away after a day, but after 3 days, it gotten worst and worst. I called the office right way to see if I can be seen right away because the pain got worst and worst to the point that I can not sleep, work, or eat. Unfortunately, no one was in office to answer the phone. I had left a message on Dr. Nguyen's voicemail also. The one thing that got me really tick off was, their answering machine said they were open! I was so frustrated. I had to buy over the counter pain relieved to help with the pain. So the next day
Dr. Nguyen finally called me back and told me that they were on a field trip yesterday. I was so frustrated because they are unreliable and irresponsible!
6 months later, the staff called me telling me my 6 months check up is up and that I need to schedule an appointment. So I came in for my cleaning. After the cleaning, the Dr. said one of my filling came off and that I need to come back to get it refilled. So I scheduled to come back next Thursday because that's the only day I had off of work. The day after my filling, my whole jaw feels really weird and tingly. I thought it was a normal reaction and it would go away the next day, BUT after 5 days, the pain got worst and worst in the same area I had filled 6 months ago. So I called the office to see if I can come in right say because it hurts really bad to the point I can't even talk. AGAIN, NO ONE WAS In OFFICE TO ANSWER THE PHONE. I called Dr. Nguyen but no answer as well. AGAIN, THEIR ANSWERING MACHINE SAID THEY ARE OPEN. so I decided to go to their office, their receptionist said the doctors are at a convention center so no doctors are in office. It was just ridiculous. They have 4 doctors and none of them are in office for emergency visits.
THIS PLACE JACKED MY WALLET. THEY KEEP INCREASING THE PRICINGS AND DEDUCTABLE EVERYTIME I COME IN. A good office should have a set price at the first visit and good customer service. Which this place obviously does not have.
DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. THEY ARE IRRESPONSIBLE. If you are having pain after visiting this office, don't even bother calling them, because the doctors will be on field trips and will not be available to you. -

I used to HATE going to the dentist until I discovered Evergreen Dentists! I can not bare looking and feeling the needle, but Dr. J and Dr. Browning are very gentle and you don't feel anything at all, no joke!
It's very convenient for me because they are open on the weekends. It makes my life easier to just fly in Friday night and I get to kill two birds with one stone! They are also on the ball when it's time for your 6 months cleaning. I always forget when I need to come in.
I tell all my friends to come to Evergreen Dentists and they would LOVE it just as much as I do! All the staff members are super friendly! -

I like coming here as they may accommodate our family in one appointment. With the hours they are open I don't need to take the kids out of school and they are open on weekends..a big PLUS for me!
Everyone here is so friendly and Dr. J and Dr. Browning are great..my kids feel comfortable and welcomed everytime they come in for a cleaning.
When my co-workers or friends ask for a dentist I always refer them to Evergreen Dentist! -

Everyone here is sooooo friendly. I think I've hassled every front desk person here and each and every one of them have been especially helpful in answering all of my many questions and helping me minimize my out of pocket costs. They offer so many great referral deals and have a lot of specials that you literally pay next to nothing.
Scheduling an appointment is so simple because they are open seven days a week. They actually play good radio stations and good music while I'm waiting in the chair for my mouth to numb up or waiting in reception. Their office is small, but clean and they offer you coffee, water, or lemonade or whatever else they have...
Dr. J is extremely nice and personable. She always remembers me and even remembers little things about my personal life that I had told her at prior visits. It just makes me feel really comfortable and shows how she cares not just about your teeth but about you as an individual. She's very careful and works quickly and I'm always happy after I leave her office. I've gotten a few fillings done in one visit and I'm always in and out in under an hour. I've timed my cleanings and I'm always out within 45 minutes.
Their office is a little further from my house but I'm always willing to drive the additional 15 minutes to see Dr. J and staff rather than find someplace closer to home because they are that awesome! -

If you are looking for a new dentist, you need to come here! And even if you are pretty happy with your current dentist, you still might want to consider giving this place a shot!
I was elbowed in the mouth, and my front tooth was forced out of place... worst thing that could have happened since i had to go to work the next day. I came here (mainly because they were open on Sunday) and discovered the best dentist I ever been to!
Dr. Nguyen covered all the possibilities with my situation, took X-rays to see what was going on, outlined the processes, and WENT TO TOWN on my tooth. She fixed it up as best as I could hope for and I'm very gratful. I told her I'm never going to another dentist ever again.
They office is small but it is cozy. They play slow jams up in here and whether you are just getting a cleaning or going through hardcore stuff like I had to do, it made me feel relaxed. Staff is very friendly and the doctor even gave me a personal call the next day to see how i was doing! -

I just got back from my initial cleaning/check-up appointment at Evergreen Dentists with Dr. Jacqueline Nguyen ("Dr. J"). Overall, my experience was a good one.
From the start, Jennifer, one of the receptionists, was very clear about prices and explaining things to me. Since I don't currently have insurance (done with school and I'm working a Temp. position = no bueno insurance-wise), Jennifer explained all costs and I was surprised (and happy) to find out that the 1st cleaning/xrays/consult would only cost me $72. That seemed too good to be true, so I called back to verify to make sure I didn't hear wrong--still $72.
Unfortunately since it's been over a year since I've been to a dentist, I have two cavities that need to be filled, which is gonna set me back about $400. It has to get done, so I'm not complaining. Just wish I had insurance! (I still think this is probably a pretty reasonable price).
Her office is clean and bright and although I felt like the actual appointment was a little rushed, Dr. J was very nice and didn't make me feel bad for not coming in sooner. My teeth now look great! The only weird thing was the air sucker tube thing smelled funny and there was a machine somewhere in the office making farting noises--it distracted me (a good thing) and the hygienist (not a good thing).
Dr. J only works Sundays and Mondays but the office has great hours and is open 7 days per week, which is great because normally, I can't get an appointment since I work til 5 and it takes until 5:30 or 6pm for me to get home.
So I left with a credit card receipt, a referral to Timothy Nguyen for wisdom teeth extractions (I'm terrified, btw), and an appointment card for my fillings.
Dr. J seems great so far, so I'll update once I see her a few more times.
*Update* 2/20/08
So I've been back to Evergreen Dentists 2x's now. This past Monday for 2 fillings from Dr. J--went pretty well, I guess (it's a drill, so how great can it be?!), but I will say that her technique for the shots was practically painless--even if I had to stop her 3x's to shoot me up more cuz I could still feel it (joy).
I made an appointment to go back really quick the next day because my bite felt off and one of the fillings needed to be ground down a little (Something I couldn't feel the day before, being numb and all). So I saw Dr. Browning since Dr. J wasn't in. I was only in the chair for about 10 mins, but she was cool too. And as the ever-irritating Rachael Ray would say, then I was "good to go!"Listed in: OMG ROTD FTW!

Well if you're gonna drop in like that, then you gotta come with me to my appointments! Good thing there's a 7eleven in this shopping center where Julie was able to pick up a little breakfast. We had a little trouble finding the place and we walked around the building in a full circle before finding the staircase in the corner. Whatev. Walking with my shortie clutched in my arms = good times.
The view from this second story office is quite stunning. Especially if you grew up in SJ.
The dentist chair is surely the most technologically advanced I've ever seen. There's a TV screen at the foot of the chair that I was watching Spy Kids 3D on, and then later a graph of my teeth. Wow.
Dr. Browning was very nice, explaining to me the status of my teeth as she was working and everything she said was easy to understand. Composite fillings... woooooo!
Cleaning, x-rays, consultation: $72
I will come back.... when I have insurance!

There is a popular tale surrounding the painting of the Last Supper by Leonardo Da Vinci: that the same model was used for both Jesus and Judas. The story often goes that an innocent-looking young man, posed at nineteen for Jesus. Some years later Leonardo discovered a hard-bitten criminal as the model for Judas, not realizing he was the same man.
Whether the story is true or not remains undocumented, but one fact is certain: time changes everything.
So did a year's worth of a coffee habit and shamelessly picking from the office candy bowl - I thought I had a cavity. Through a laborious process of trying to match my insurance's list of possible dentists and Yelp reviews of the very best ones, I stumbled upon Evergreen Dentists.
Here is where I owe someone an apology. I wrote a scathing review of Dr. U and the dentistry done at Meridian Dental last year. Incredibly enough, Dr. U moved to Evergreen Dentists and was quite the Jesus to my Judas tale. She kindly explained to me the differences between preventative, necessary and recommended-but-not-required care.
What she was recommending to me (a "preventative" solution for my growing fear of cavities since I lack self-control around peanut M&M's) is a watered-down version of a filling that is more of a sealant (but for insurance purposes, it would be documented as a filling). Dr. U was polite and professional and very informative. I've made an appointment to go back for the procedure, which conveniently enough, is in the same plaza as my mantra threading place.
Evergreen Dentists scores on so many levels:

*hygienists that love their job
*Sunday-Saturday appointments available
*Delta Dental USA insurance-friendly
*quick quotes based on insurance information
*toothbrush & toothpaste hand-outs! (make me feel like a kid again)
*great location
*competent staff
*they didn't complain about my morning breath... which at 8am, is hard to brush and gargle away -

Saying thanks to the all the staff/docs and that I had an enjoyable experience is just not enough to express how I feel about Evergreen Dentists. I have been going to this office for over 7 years and finally mustered the courage to share my insight.
Before coming to Evergreen Dentists, I went to an office that was dismal. The staff was not friendly, the waiting room was over crowded, always have to go through a long wait for my own scheduled appointment, uncleanliness of the office, the dental tools was unquestionable sterile, the dentist was not pleasant to be around, and every charge made to my insurance was not a service that was done (my Delta Dental was charged for 2 crowns and I have no crowned teeth). My only motivator to come to that office was that I have been their patient for almost 10 years and that the out-of-pocket expense was cheap. I knew I deserved better.
I was referred to Evergreen Dentists by a very good friend, who saw my disappointment. Before coming to Evergreen Dentists, I read the reviews off yelp and was very pleased to see so many good reasons to go them. My first/all of many appointments was nothing but pleasant. The staff is a joy to see (and they want to know about me), the waiting room is not crowded, I am seen at the time of my appointment, the office is clean and tidy, the dental tools are sterilely sealed, the room I'm seen in is clean, the dentists (Dr. J and Dr. B) are happy to see me, and charges made to my insurance reflect my actual services done. I am very happy to be a patient here and very glad that I upgraded. Highly recommend and encourage everyone to come to Evergreen Dentists. -

Since I'm anal about brushing and flossing every night even when I'm half asleep/drunk, I only have to visit Dr. J every 6 months. She's young, professional, and enthusiastic. Her office is state of the art with lcd's at the foot of every chair. She and her staff are fully geared up so the exam rooms are the perfect balance of sterile yet comfortable.
If you've finally landed your first job out of college and no longer have to rely on mommy and daddy's insurance, it's probably time you find a grown up dentist that can understand your needs vs. the dentist you've had since you were 5 who probably has bad breath and crooked teeth...ironic, right?
They also give great referral gifts. I got a free Sonicare for referring my sister and a friend. So if you heed my advice and check out Evergreen Dentists, let them know I referred you! haha. Don't mix them up with Evergreen Dental or any other dentists in the Evergreen area. And they're worth the drive even if you're not from the area.Listed in: E.S.S.J.

like my previous reviews . . . i don't spend time to write a review unless something is excellent or awful.
Finally an office that is open on Sat and Sun so I didn't have to take my kids out of school. Taking my kids to the dentist has always been a struggle due to our family's hectic schedule, espicially with my little ones . . . but my experience with this doctor was great. Dr. Nguyen spoke to my kids and explained to them what she was doing along with all the tools so they would be comfortable. I also had my teeth cleaned on the same visit so my kids would see how things worked. It made it a lot easier. I know it took a lot of time for Dr. Nguyen to spend that entire morning with my family and kids but it made it such a positive experience. Now my kids are more enthusiastic about brushing/flossing since Jackie showed them pictures of things that may happen if we are not regularly brushing/flossing. I appreciate their phone reminders - I recently forgot about an appointment and had to reschedule and it was easy. Some offices (such as my chiropractor) are not so friendly about that. After 3 visits and my experience to date, I would recommend Dr. Nguyen as it's hard to find quality, patient and friendly service and staff these days. -

What can I not say about Evergreen Dentists?
The doctors there are just phenomenal. I don't even need to request a certain doctor. When I'm at Evergreen Dentists, I know I'm in good hands. I don't know much about the software that they use, but the doctors are able to show me my x-rays instantly on the computer screen.
What I like the most is that the staff is willing to work with you when it comes to getting your work done. They offer flexible ways to pay for the treatment that you need. I like the idea of having old fashion service. You won't get "the brush off" at this office. The receptionists, doctors, and dental assistants take the time to get to know you.
My only gripe about the place is that they don't have massage chairs in the waiting room. I'm allowed to dream, aren't I?
I'll be going back there for my next regular cleaning (and to see a certain someone that is always at the front desk). -

Staff is always nice to see you. Doctors are always gentle. They allow you to have everything done at once, or spread out to whatever you prefer.

Can I say that I LOVE this office!! A bi-annual trip to the dentists usually results in me wanting to crawl into a corner and cry... just because the drilling sounds are never pleasant. I'm completely vain about my teeth because I've always been taught that your first impression is your smile. Can't smile with funky teeth!! So today was my second visit and it included fillings instead of just the usual cleaning. Gigi welcomed me with such great energy and a beautiful smile. As always, Lyda usually does my polishing and x-rays. She always strikes up conversations and makes me feel at ease. I also had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Yu today! She's so sweet and professional as she answered all my questions & made the infamous numbing shot less painful (she took care to distract me with a tool on the side of my mouth to take my mind off the HUGE needle entering my jaw!) Afterwards, Dr. J was a total gangsta when it came to doing my two fillings. She was very fast and diligent. Michelle checked me out of the office and was very friendly. Overall, the entire flow in and out of the office was enjoyable (Dentist? Enjoyable? Whaa?? That's right, that's how awesome this place is) I've find my dream dental place and for as long as I have my teeth, I will keep coming back!

Had a good visit to the Dentist for once. Found office location easy by reading reviews here. Very clean professional atmosphere, quick service and very friendly .Best of all they saved my cracked tooth until I decide on something more permanent like a implant or partial .Well I'm happy for the time being and would recommend this office to my friends ,family and clients. I tend towards cautiousness, so I took good reviews I read with a grain of salt, but Dr. Browning and the staff at Evergreen Dentist proved to be truly caring, professional, and honest. I was so amazed that Dr. Browning took care of my new filling without sending me for a second appt., and the price to me was so reasonable compared to those I have had at other dental offices.
The office building is old, but the equipment is modern and the office itself is clean. I'm glad I to look no further for a dentist for my family and me. -

I found Evergreen Dentists on yelp, they got me in for an appointment very quickly. I've seen Dr. Damaris Browning twice now, she is very responsive, gentle, and understanding that patients have to be careful about costs. Also, they didn't give me the least bit of a hard time about the fact that it had been years since I'd last seen a dentist, and were kind about the fact that I was a ball of anxious nerves. Everyone in the office is very nice, very professional, and Dr. Browning is great!

Base on yelp reviews. I took my children here for their cleaning. First off I called to check if they were a PPO provider for Delta Dental. The receptionist insisted "Yes." Guess what? I found out they weren't after the the services were done. They didn't know the difference between a PPO provider vs. a Premier provider. What kind of dental office is that? My kids did not like the cleaning. They said that the people were rough and rush through the process. Both my children were in & out in 10 mins. Then they billed my insurance over $300+ EACH just for a 10 min cleaning. That's over $600+. What a RIP OFF. I would never go here again. I highly recommend that you all stay away from this place. On top of that I had requested a specific dentist for my kids and they just gave us any Joe Smoe that we available.
As for the other reviews. I think they had their friends and family write it for them. DO NOT GO HERE.!!!! -

Love this place. All of the staff are extremely helpful and nice. It's never too crowded, so you're getting all the individual treatment and care you need as a patient. The TV screen hooked up to the chairs are nice, it makes time pass by even quicker while having your teeth worked on. Broad selection of movies to watch, all of them are enjoyable. Only one of the few places in San Jose you actually look forward to seeing your dentist, and the place is very clean!

I just got my Delta Dental bill and I am not please with the charge. Jacky was an ok dentist. She is professional and nice but that was about it. The receptionist on the other hand is incompetent. She gave me a quote for my filling. It showed how much the doctor is charging minus what my insurance is paying equal to $91 (my out of pocket expense including deductible). I even ask if there was any additional charge I should know. Then I ask if there was a discount for first timer. She told me to go online and print out a coupon. So the next week I come back with that $200 coupon for my filling. She goes and tell me I have to pay $150. I was like WTF. I was like fine and gave her the coupon. It turn out she "discount" me for the $100 and still charge me $50 for deductible. The coupon is just a scam to get you to come back. The part that piss me off is that fact they change the quote. The quote did not match what was bill to Delta versus what they show me. They charge the insurance as much as possible and on top of that charge more on the client. (which is fine if it was the difference on the insurance bill-it was more!!!!)
I just move to Evergreen so I wanted a dentist nearby. I definitely will not come back. I rather drive farther to my old dentist. -

Go see Dr. Jacky Nguyen here. She is extremely professional. I found this place searching online and they had a $75 tooth cleaning special. I had really sore gums and she even offered to see me AT NO CHARGE for a followup a few days after. The assistants are sweet, their office is really clean and brand new. Service is amazing. A must dental spot.

I've had pretty much everything done here: deep cleaning, regular cleaning, cavity fillings, root canal, teeth extractions (that's what I get for not going to the dentist in years.) And I must say that none of the procedures were painful at all. Every person who works here is absolutely delightful. The front desk staff, dental assistants, and the dentists themselves are all friendly and outgoing. I've seen both Dr. J and Dr. Browning. They are both professional and explain things carefully. Even though it's many months between my appointments, I know that I will experience sweet people and nice attitudes each time I come back.

So I've only come in for a consultation, a cleaning, and to fill two cavities (third one is on Thursday, god bless my soul) and so far, so good. I switched from Plaza Dental because that prick Dr. Vierra loves to drill to the center of the Earth when filling in your cavities. I've met Dr. Nguyen AND Dr. Browning, and both are professional, courteous, and, thank my lucky stars, very skilled in what they do. The office manager, Michelle Perez, is always the sweetest person ever- thank you so much for doin' what you do, girl.

I became a client here after reading great reviews from everyone else. I visited this practice for about 2+ years for regular 6-month checkups and such so I feel my opinions and experience does have some merit. I stayed with this practice for two years because they were conveniently located and did an okay job. I have since moved to a different dentist here is why.
The major thing that bothered me about this practice is I keep getting a different dentist at every appointment. Please keep in mind that this is a personal preference, some people might not find this a problem, but I do. I prefer having the same dentist follow my file for long-term care.
The other reason I am giving them a three star is because at my last check-up (X-rays and examination) the dentist assured me everything is great. But two short weeks later, the filling on my canine tooth fell out. Again, this might not have anything to do with the skill of the dentist but does come to show that it is important to have the same dentist follow your file and know what has been done in the past.
Things I like about the place is timeliness in getting appointments and the clean/modern office. The reception staffs are efficient and generally professional. -

Big fan of this place. I hate going to the dentist, but they make everything incredibly pleasant. Since going here, my husband has had his Invisalign treatment here, changed to Dr J for his dental work, and my sister has also finished her Invisalign treatment with Dr J as well. All in all, we've got a lot of beautiful smiles in the family now.
