Darn good brunch. Innovative American food with a lot of attention to the ingredients. The Cobb salad was massive and thick with good items. Ditto the "chorizo scramble." Seating is a little tight, but the interior is just beautiful.

Ok, sit down for a second. I'm going to tell you something you may not believe. This was one of the best breakfast places I've ever been to. Ever. I ordered corned beef hash...expecting a play on the standard. But what I received was nothing like the American classic...and I loved every second of it. My girlfriend had the french toast, which was bold and delicious.

The decor is perfect and beautiful! loved it. If I lived in Portland, this would be a major hang out for me. Great service, great food and great decor. It was a grand slam!

I am going to make use of Yelps new update feature with Everett Street Bistro...

Why?

Because I keep running out of time to eat there, and end up getting one of their desserts to go.

German Chocolate Cake  -$4: smaller slice (finally a place that realized a 4,000 calorie slice of cake is not what all diners want).  Also, bonus points for staying fresh even when I got drunk and left you out in the middle of the living room floor!

To date, Portland's best Chocolate Chip Cookie $1.50 - and I am an addict.  If I have to, I'll even run into Rite Aid and get a bag of Famous Amos cookies (the equivalent to meth in the cookie world).  Soft without being mushy, good chip/cookie balance, and chips had real flavor.

Walnut Chocolate Brownie $4.50? can't remember.  It was huge - like kitchen tile sized huge.  I ate it over 3 days.  With friends.  A little rich for my tastes (I prefer the cake-like, over fudge-like brownies), but still good eating.  Unlike some brownies that are denser than the center of a black hole.

Can't give the coveted 5th star without eating there though, seems wrong.  Will Jen K's crap experience influence my rating?  Dun dun dun! Tune into the update to fin out...

I hurt in my heart because it has been over a month since I've been able to make my way back to Everett St. Bistro.  For some time I brunched regularly there on sundays with a friend from college that introduced me to the wonderful food there.
Their Everett Saint Benedict is amazing. Really, truly, yummy.  I don't know how often the menu changes, and on the off chance that it's no longer on there, it's Benedict using crab cakes topped with one of the creamiest and perfectly spiced hollandaise sauces I've ever had.  I say spiced because it's a Creole hollandaise and that little bit of extra heat sets off the light and flaky bits of crab and crisped edges of the cakes incredibly well.
The Dutch baby is wonderful as well.  A tremendous portion for one person.  I can honestly say I remember the two hour sugar high from it more than almost any other part of the brunch.
I'm not the sort to drink lattes, I prefer black coffee, but their foamy coffee drinks are good enough to tempt me away from coffee so thick you can chew it.
The customer service I've always gotten there, from the first time, is what has kept me going back.  The only hiccup was when the staff thought our food was taking too long.  We were chatting and enjoying ourselves and our drinks when our server brought us a plate of dried fruits (strawberries, figs, other delicious things) to munch on and offered genuine apologies.  At no point had we indicated that we were in a rush, impatient, of felt as if anything was wrong.  The staff took the initiative and ensured that there would not be a problem before one ever occurred.  For things like that, they will always have a place in my heart and a loyal customer.
I might mention that the staff seems to be generally attractive, and starting your day being surrounded by beautiful things has always been a good way to begin

What a fabulous dining opportunity wasted.  I had a great day in the Pearl planned and decided in advance to have lunch at Bluehour.  I'd heard about it for years and a former co-worker was a bartender there and had some crazy stories so I had to check it out.  What I didn't anticipate was that it would be closed on Saturday at lunchtime.

Everett Street Bistro became my Plan B.  I remembered generally positive Yelp reviews, but didn't jot down any recommended items to order since I didn't plan on eating there this time around.

So I agree with other posters that the place is a charming French-style bistro.  Small tables close together and a beautiful stamped metal ceiling.  It was a sunny day and there were a handful of tables outside as well.  I was greeted and seated right away by one of the large windows and my server was great throughout.

What I didn't enjoy at all was my meal.  I wanted the quiche of the day, but they didn't offer one (or perhaps they ran out).  I chose their Nueske quiche instead (apple smoked bacon and marscapone cheese) and it just didn't taste right.  It was a huge serving and I lost all interest in eating it about a quarter of the way through.  The mesclun green salad with herb vinaigrette on the side was basic, but fine and I enjoyed sipping water from the Bee glass.

I think it is a case of ordering the wrong thing and since I was dining alone I didn't get the vicarious thrill of someone else enjoying their meal.  When I came home and read the reviews again there was some major forehead slapping going on... duh, I should have ordered that!!!!

Que sera sera....

What a cute place to have a weekend breakfast!

We enjoyed our Pommes Frites ("Potato Fries") as we wait for our breakfast. I ordered Black forest ham scramble which came with roasted potatoes. I liked my breakfast but not as much as my fiance's Breakfast Panini. This black forest ham and cheddar panini was grilled to perfection. Melting cheddar hugging the black forest ham and sunny side eggs, sandwiched between crunchy bread....Ahhhh...I just loved it so much that I started to eat his the other half of the panini and him ended up with finishing my egg scrambles dish.

Very friendly and personable service. I'd love to come back here again.

So I have to say that Everett St definitely gets a nod in I will be going back there due to the ridiculous amount of delicious food they offer.
I settled and seriously folks settled on Clam Chowder soup and a just kick yah in the mouth taste extravaganza of the Wild Mushroom Gnocchi... absolutely loved it.

The waiter was nice, food was prepared rather expeditiously and most of all (this is a big point) they did not just nail me with all the courses...
I was able to enjoy some hot chocolate , nosh on some bread, savor the clams with my soup, and then comfortably ravage my Gnocchi.

Really can't wait to just go "Kobayashi" on the cheeses they offer, between that and some of the other items on the menu... I give this one a big go check out recommendation.  But if you read my yelps you will probably notice that I celebrate all types of fare, so do make note that I am biased to be in love with just about every spot I visit.

Happy hunting kids.

What a great little French bistro! We got this recommendation from our concierge, Adam. Fantastic call Adam!

We stroll in around 9:30 on Saturday morning, and got a table immediately (probably pretty rare). Our server was great, very attentive and friendly.

I ordered Joe's special, a chorizo, spinach and garlic scramble, Des Mel's Benedict. They were awesome! The ambiance is perfect, right out of the French countryside, cottage like if you will.

Great Breakfast spot in the Pearl!

It must have been dumb luck that we walked into Everett Street Bistro. We were looking for a small cafe so we could use the bathroom. But the moment we walked into Everett Street Bistro, we knew we had made a mistake. We wanted to turn around but the restaurant literally drew us back in. It was a happy mistake.  We sat the bar since the restaurant was already packed. We order some local Oregon wine. We order traditional American affairs with Parisian influence. Comfort food that felt clean to the palate. It was fantastic.

I've stopped by Everett several times for their lunch, and I have never been dissapointed. They have an excellent atmosphere, and great food. Their service can be a little iffy, like your wondering if their spacing your courses well, or if they have forgotten about you. I guess I'll have to try them for breakfast next.

I have been to Everett Street Bistro a few times now and it has always been great, until today when I got breakfast for the first time. I would give the dinner 5 stars, but factoring in breakfast I'm going with four.

The atmosphere in the bistro is charming. It is a very small space and the tables are squeezed together pretty tightly sometimes. The decor is very simple and elegant. The first time I came for dinner there was a short wait, and the guy behind their small charcuterie counter offered us a few samples of delicious cheeses, so they won me over right off the bat with that move!

My favorite menu item is surprisingly the burger even though there are so many other great things. The burger is seasoned deliciously with fresh herbs, and comes with a lemon aioli, avocado and delicious nueske bacon. I don't know what nueske bacon is but it is amazing. Today might have been an off-day for them, because I ordered the corned beef hash which had hardly any corned beef in it, and my friend asked for her burger to be cooked medium and it was very well done. I also ordered a bloody mary that was described on the menu as "SPICY" but I couldn't detect any spice, definitely not worth the $9! But this was definitely an aberration, usually the food and service are impeccable!

I have been here a number of times and usually get quiche and a cocktail.  The quiche is always good, a heaping slice and a side salad.  The only thing I had that was so-so was the calamari that was greasy and a little bland.

The service is great and the drinks are killer. The tables are squeezed together and are not easily manageable to get in/out of them.

The best meal there is brunch, where I had crab cakes eggs Benedict which was amazing, it was very filling and so tasty.  My mom and dad had a seafood egg scramble and MIL another scramble meal that was delicious.  The OJ was freshly squeezed, the service was great and everyone was feeling full at the end.  My parents then went back the next two days for breakfast.

The only possible downside is that they are only open for Brunch and Dinner and they close in the late afternoon.  I wish this place were open all the time, that they delivered and Brad Pitt left Angie for me.

Not only does Everett Street Bistro have the feel of a Parisian cafe, but it also has food with a nice French-flair.  I've only been there for breakfast, and Everett boasts a small but well-rounded menu - the selection is not entirely traditional breakfast fare, but what they do serve is excellent.

My favorite dish is the Wild Mushroom Scramble which is essentially a fabulously divine mixture of goat cheese, asparagus, and wild mushrooms.  It's accompanied by roasted potatoes which are cubed meaty potato chunks with whole roasted cloves of garlic.  So bring a breakfast date that you're not fearful of offending if you go that route.

Prices match the portions are large enough so that I can eat my way to a food-coma stupor but not so large that I have to be carted away by friends.  I love the small intimate setting - which feels very open given the tall ceilings and huge windows.  There is a cute bar area that strikes a nice modern French cafe feel.  However, the real highlight is the friendly and efficient staff.

Very, very yummy.

Its small, it gets smoky from the kitchen, you'll probably wait in line, and you won't mind.  Because, as I mentioned, it is very, very yummy.

I was going to name all my favorite things, but they are too numerous.  I'll just say, do yourself a favor and order some baked goods.

I've eaten here for both breakfast and for dinner.

It was packed on the Sunday of Mother's day and the tables are very close together -- for a big booty hoe like myself its a little difficult to clamber over people to get to your table.  But the breakfast was pretty good.. I can't really remember what I had so that should tell you it wasn't outstanding.

However I had the steamer clams & pomme frites when I went for dinner and both were awesome.  The fries were really thin, crispy and garlic-filled.  So good.

I really hate MMS (mediocre meal syndrome). It means that I've eaten a dinner that wasn't so bad that I stopped eating, but I'm not in the blissful food coma I expect when eating at a place like this.

The black bean soup was booooring, the pre-sliced baguettes were stale (granted we were there pretty late), the gnocchi was large and gummy, and the cod (which was subbed for the salmon) was not served atop the delicious spinach and mashed potatoes as stated on the menu - it was served on a bunch of chopped tomatoes and onions. Meh.

I totally deserved dessert after this.

If you are looking for safe fancy food, this is a bistro to check out.  They have a wide variety of cheese, too bad I'm not a fan of cheese.  They also have a lot of dessert to choose from.  My boyfriend got the baked oyster mushroom macaroni +  cheese.  That was pretty good, again, very greasy and buttery.  I got the vegetarian risotto of the day, that was very blend and way too buttery and greasy with white cheddar cheese.  I wish they throw in some vegetables and saffron in it...but they didn't.  The risotto is also a bit hard in the heart, so I don't know about that either.  The environment is very nice.  The place is filled with old grandmas.  My boyfriend and I definitely felt like we were... unique.  I wouldn't go back again.  Not that the experience was bad but it was stale and not interesting.  I rather go to Wildwood for the price or Navarre for the taste.

The food was alright but the staff was over the top nice!

We ended up waiting for awhile (like 2 hours) for some of the members of our party to come and they were great about it. Granted it was a weekday afternoon but still not service you find everyday.

I also like that they support local farmers - coffee roasters - and some ranchers (although they get most of their meat form out of state).

Definitely worth a trip

Everett Street is a great place to have in the neighborhood- delicious breakfast, tasty cocktails, and a great cheese plate! I am a little obsessed with cheese plates. This bistro definitely has a French-farmhouse vibe going on- I love everything about the decor from the faux-tin ceiling, to the French loaves sticking out of a metal bucket, to the shelves of condiments on the wall, to the glass jars of olive oil behind the cash register. I have had dinner once, cocktails and appetizers a few times, and breakfast a few as well. This place introduced me to the Singapore Sling, an old-fashioned cocktail, and gnocchi (I know, how had I gone so long without gnocchi?), so I will be forever grateful for both of those things. Service is always great once you get to a table, but that first walk-in-the-door moment could use a more prompt, friendly greeting. I hate the feeling of walking into a restaurant and being unsure of the protocol.

My one problem with Everett Street: I have tried to go twice in the last week and found them closed, regardless of the hours printed on the doors. On a Monday night (they recently started opening for dinner on Mondays) my boyfriend and I walked over and were greeted by a chalkboard sign inside the locked door reading "Closed- Sorry for the Inconvenience". Another time we were looking for a cocktail at 4:30 pm and entered the restaurant, only to be told by a kitchen worker, "oh, sorry, we are closed from 3 to 5 every day". Seriously?? With the happy hour expectations that this town brings? Also, their hours say "Open at 8 am Everyday", with no mention of that two hour gap. A little notice might be helpful. This speaks to a little bit of a lack of professionalism in my opinion. But, that wild mushroom gnocchi was damn good.

I was impressed with this chic little bistro. You really feel like you're in Paris for a second if you let yourself pretend. It's clean, bright, and smells like baked bread. My kind of place.

The Croque Monsieur and Muffaletta sandwiches ordered by my dining companions were fresh and flavorful, but I found a culinary soulmate in the Tuscan Chopped Salad. The list of ingredients alone should help you understand its deliciousness: genoa salami, garbanzo beans, olives, provolone cheese, artichoke hearts, fresh herbs and romaine, tossed with a light balsamic dressing and grated egg. YUM.

Stop in for lunch during your next shopping day in the Pearl. I'm still thinking about that salad...

I went to ESB twice while visiting Portland. First for breakfast - well, brunch on a Friday, and second for a long lunch, well, brunch - on a Sunday.

The food was awesome. Their eggs benedict? Poached eggs over scrummy crab cakes laying on a bit of spinach on some ridiculously flavorful, just crunchy enough toast. THE BEST BENEDICT I'VE EVER HAD. The cheese plate - supremely tasty. Big hunks of delicious unique cheeses with the perfect mix of little side-y things like dried cranberries, olives, tomatoes, gawd it was unbelievable. I also had some of their clam chowder. Delicate, with WHOLE CLAMS in it. In the shell. Piles of them. Resting on a light sauce with red potatoes and bits of ham. Fantastic.  Bloody mary's that were perfect on the spice, not too overwhelmed with vegetables, and somehow - after only having 2 - left me just tipsy enough to complement the incredible food buzz I had going.

The service, impeccable. The menu selections all sound unreasonably delicious. A drink menu I plan on touring fully the next time I'm in town. The decor, quaint and understated. The wait - if there is one, is worth it. Just write your name, relax for a minute and get your french bistro on. I wouldn't suggest coming with more than a group of 4. The only minor, super slight downside? The ventilation. It gets smoky in there from the cooking sometimes. But christ, crack a window and get on with the insanely delicious food!

Fantastic breakfast in the Pearl!

I have been to this place a couple of times for breakfast and have been extremely pleased.  If you are looking for an alternative to the wait at Byways Cafe then you should really check this place out.

Both times I have had egg dishes there.  The Ham Scramble ($7.50) is divine!  The black forest ham is the perfect complement to the Tillamook cheddar and eggs.  Mmmmmmm.  The eggs are served with a piece of toast on the side, although "toast" really doesn't do justice to what this bread is or what it tastes like.  Also on the side were the perfectly prepared potatoes.  Another good dish is the Wild Mushroom Scramble ($8.50) with mushrooms, asparagus and goat cheese.

Very crowded but worth the wait. The breakfast panini was amazing especially with the Tillamook cheddar cheese. French feeling bistro with warm and inviting atmosphere. In a good area to hit up shopping right after or while you wait. Were out of a lot of items so I'd suggest getting there early otherwise you might not be able to take full advantage of their menu.

The wait was relatively short on a Saturday during brunch, & the food was quite good. I don't even remember what I ate -- something with eggs. I was tired. They kept the coffee coming & the waitress (Erica, I think) was awesome.

The food was GOOD. Not incredible or earth-shattering, but good. I remember the potatoes were burnt, which is actually the way I like them. So that's good.

If you're coming from out of town, I wouldn't call Everett St Bistro a destination restaurant, but it was definitely a nice place for a hungry couple to stumble upon while walking through the Pearl.

In town visiting and found this place as we were exploring the Pearl district. The entire restaurant is in a fairly small room with a bakery counter up front and tables along side and in back of that counter. Huge windows provide plenty of natural light and the decor is simple white, with bead board walls, chandeliers, and white paper on the tables.

We only had salads and soup as we were not in the mood to pig out but the food was good all around. Also they give you baguette bread and hummus gratis before the meal. Very nice touch.

One small complaint - no ice in the water or even the iced tea. We had to ask for ice and it was brought to us in little glasses to add to our water. Is this a Euro thing that I'm not aware of - no ice in the table water? Probably is and I'm revealing my ugly americanism. Oh well - the bottom line is this was a good place. Dieters beware however - the food is indeed mostly French which means lots of creams and cheeses.

I ordered the muffaletta sandwich here.  It was good.

I inquired with the waitress about how they made their muffaletta sandwich.  I told her the problem I run into sometimes is an olive spread that is way too overpowering for the sandwich, which leaves only the taste of olive in your mouth (and unfortunately your breath as well for the rest of the day).  The waitress assured me that their muffaletta was not going to do that to me.

The sandwich was good with the exception of the french bread being a little too crusty and therefore a little bit difficult to chew.

For those of you looking for it, Everett Street Bistro also has a charcuterie counter with a wide selection of cheeses and meats.  Humboldt Fog Baby!

Had dinner here on a Thursday night and got in without having to wait. Perhaps it's the prices, which are a little steep. But the ambiance is elegant and relaxed, and service was very friendly and attentive. Everything we had was excellent: I had the pork chop, my friend had a chicken dish, and we shared a Caesar. I was happy to also be able to order a cocktail that wasn't on the menu, no trouble at all. (Well made, too.)

The pork chop was done almost perfectly: tender and juicy, and an excellent cut. (I only ate half, so the expense of the evening was partly made up for by lunch leftovers the next day.) The only downside was that it had been brined perhaps too long -- it was too salty, mitigated only slightly by the caramelized onions and sweet potatoes.

The star of the evening, though, had to be the Caesar: beautiful leaves left whole (as they should be); perfect dressing; delicate seasoned croutons; shaved parmesan. Perhaps it's not fair to judge a restaurant based on one item, but my feeling is, when a place gets a Caesar this right, it's won my heart.

I have a confession to make.
I have fallen in love with this place. No really. I know you think it's a fling, that it's just like all the others. Oh but you are wrong!! This is it! This is real! This is the one for me.
I was drawn to the beautiful white linens on the cute little table tops. Slowly seduced by the array of menu choices. But it was the fresh ingredients that sealed the deal for me.
I have this problem sometimes when I go to a restaurant where I see something on the menu like a sandwich or a pizza and it has one ingredient/veggie/topping that I love and three others that are just "eh". That's why i'm all for places that let you make your own..whatever. I need to love everything on my sammich! Is that so wrong?
Well, that's why ESB (aka my lover) is amazing. They have some of the most amazing ingredient combinations ever. It always comes out light and each flavor complements the next. I swear they have the executives of the Food Network locked up in that kitchen helping them through these key decisions.
Okay sooo here's the deal. Get the Calamari. Yes it's fried, but only lightly. Whatever that means. But do it. Trust me. Also the Bistro Burger. What is it? Well...Strawberry Mountain ground sirloin, grilled and served with lemon aioli, tomato, avocado, Nueske bacon, lettuce and caramelized onions. Yeah. I know. You're welcome.

This review is for the French Onion Soup at Everett Street Bistro.  The French Onion Soup was close to perfection.

The highlight of the soup was the flavorful Gruyere cheese.

French Onion Soup Rating System:

1.  Soup (flavorful, absorbing the taste of onions and cheese) 4 1/2 (just a little too salty)

2.  Cheese (flavorful, covering the soup bowl, and crisp around the edges of the bowl) 5

3.  Bread (thin slice of french roll absorbing the taste of the soup and cheese, having texture equidistant between soggy and crunchy) 5

i love this cute bistro for lots of reasons, but mostly for this:  they are not shy about the garlic!  i got mussels, steamers, and frites for brunch today.  the shellfish were pretty good but i've had better (i'm picky about my mussels and clams, though).  the frites arrived in a classic paper cone mixed with whole cloves of fried garlic and dipping aioli on the side. yum!  my parters in crime reported the generously portioned BLT to be simply fabulous.

i had only been here for dinner before but now i think i will be a brunch regular.  i don't eat eggs and they have lots of other great options available so i'm not stuck with a tired old burger or pancakes.  when i've been for dinner the service was always great and the food delish.  i got their 60 clove chicken last time which is supposed to have 60 cloves of garlic inside. or is it 30?  i can't remember.  anyway, you'd think this would be overpowering, but by the time it cooks down, the garlic just adds a richness to the dish.

Disappointed by the night before's dinner in the Pearl at Oba!, I had high hopes for this morning's breakfast. And Everett Street Bistro was such a pleasure!
I had the Breakfast Panini. I ate the whole thing and almost all my potatoes (almost because I was so dang full!). The sandwich had a perfectly cooked egg, awesome ham, melted Tillamook cheese...yum!! And, the potatoes...whoa...rosemary, roasted garlic.
Service impeccable. Food extremely well done. Ambiance very comfortable and with style. Oh, and the prices are perfect for breakfast. I read that others think the prices are high. I think my sandwich was $7.50.
Thanks Everett for giving me a great dining experience and starting my day off perfectly!

Everett Street Bistro is what brunch should be. It's like a springtime vacation in Paris. Time slows down, conversations linger and the Sunday paper can be savored as much as your meal.

Beyond the simple black door, one is greeted by the daily display of fresh baked goods. During the week there are selections from their dessert menu for dinner, but during the brunch they add wonderful assortments of breakfast pastries. The expansive windows, which nearly stretch from the elegantly silver gilded ceiling, to the classically black and white tiled floor, invite as much sunlight as Portland will offer.

Any good brunch starts with a great drink. Depending on your night before, Everett St. offers superb selections of mimosas, Bloody Marys, and fresh squeezed orange juice and Sleeping Monk Fresh brewed coffee. However, if you are looking for a true upgrade from your daily Starbucks, order their French Press. It's not on the menu, but it is the best coffee in town, bar none.

Much like the dcor, the menu is sumptuous mix of classic European brunch and Northwest twists. The Ham Scramble at Everett St. consists of black forest ham, Tillamook white cheddar and caramelized shallots. And the only thing better than eggs benedict is when it is served on a bed of Dungeness crab cakes. If it weren't for the guilt from other patiently waiting brunchers, I'd just assume stay for lunch.

Edited to tell people with kids too small to sit in chairs: don't bring them here.  They keep their high chair in a highly trafficked bathroom.  I could elaborate on why this is wrong, but I'm going to assume you already know and try not to put anyone off of food for the rest of the day.  Also, if they're lax on something as elementary as this, it makes me wonder what other gross things they do that  I don't know about.

Previous review:
The food is wonderfully done, and the cheese selection is fabulous.

I don't know why anyone would give this place a lesser rating just because they don't enjoy their fellow patrons.  The food is excellent, who cares if you're elbow to elbow with condo-dwellers?

This is a lovely oasis in the middle of the construction laden pathway that is Pearl to Downtown. I've eaten here twice now, once on a slow Sunday afternoon when I enjoyed a very fresh and well appointed salad, and the second time for a mid-day burger that was out of this world.

Both times the staff have been friendly and the only thing that I would steer clear of is the desert. Both my dining guests and I were not wowed by their "American portions" and very un-french chocolate cake and marionberry pie. But even so,  it's a very cute cafe with tons of atmosphere and delicious food.

It's an alright experience to eat here, if you did not have to suffer through eating right next to gaggles of stuck up rich ladies on all sides, reeking of    synthetic perfume and smugness. It is Portland for godssakes and I know it is located in the Pearl district, but no one here in land o' hippies and smelly indie rockers should be subjected to attitude based on dress code. My friend and I went in for brunch, dressed in our Portland casual finest and were giving many looks as though we were out of place. Yucky.

Brunch on a Saturday- the food was pretty good, and the service was outstanding.  A little crowded, but to be expected with the repuation this place has.  A bit pricey (hence only 4 stars) for what you get, but definitely a fun experience to be had.

I've been here a couple times now and the food is pretty yummy with decent portions for the price. Most recently I enjoyed a bit of their breakfast menu which was wonderful.

Eggs + Black Forest Ham + Panini = Breakfast heaven!

Plus we were in a hurry and they managed to get our order to us pretty fast without skimping on quality. Good service and tasty food. I will be back again.

What I enjoyed most about this place was the ambiance and friendly staff.  They were going through what they called a "menu change" when my friend and I ate there - so neither of us were able to order our first choices that night.  I had a zucchini quiche, which left something to be desired.  I was told by my companion that his meal was quite good, however.  They had very reasonable prices - average dinner is $15 or so.
They also make a great after-dinner latte.  Pretty decor, nice people, nice menu (once they're done altering it).  I'd certainly go back!
