WOW, so I have been calling bus companies all day and they were by far the RUDEST AND EXPENSIVE...... I am looking for a bus for my works BBQ party so I have heard a lot of prices all day, one of which was $700 for a half an hour, are you kidding me. I was placed on hold for a few minues and when the man came back (I so wish he said his name) he quoted me at, $460.. now remember this is a one way. Then he asked if i would like a email that quotes the price, I responded with ..."No thank you I was quoted......." and he hung up on me before even hearing me out. COMPLETELY RUDE DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! What a jerk, you should always be nice.. thanks Yelp, I feel much better.

Been meaning to write this one for a while....
I have actually used Events West twice. First my wedding: I was intent on doing the touristy trolley cars to get my guest from downtown to Sutro Heights Park and Events West definitely had the cheapest rate. The cars were exactly what I hoped for... Authentic looking and clean. The drivers were great and even took us for a little tour because we were on time. It was great and everyone had a blast! Then I rented a bus to taxi guests back to their hotels. Again the driver was really nice and the bus was clean but somehow the last driver got lost.... really lost... through the presidio... after a long night of drinking... Hello Barf City. Yowza! That was not how I planned on spending the last hour of my wedding at 2 in the morning, but whatever, it was another story and it was the driver's first day. What can you do? They didn't charge me for the cleaning of the bus, so I guess that was nice.
Anyhoo, they were good enough for me to book them for my firm's Christmas party. After confirming that the driver knew EXACTLY where he was going at least 4 times, I felt totally at ease. Door to door without a hitch. I would use them again, but always request an experienced driver.

(UPDATE: THE CHECK HAS CLEARED! WOO! CUPCAKES FOR EVERYONE!!)
Sequel to THE QUEST FOR THE AQUARIUM FIELD TRIP...
So, if you read the review I wrote about a certain bus company called Marquico/SF Charters, you'll know that I had a horrible time with getting my money refunded.
Initially, they sounded great. However, when they started acting funky, I canceled my contract far before their required 7 day cancellation policy. When I did, they suddenly stopped returning any of my phone calls...all 30+ of them.
I made a little trip over to San Lorenzo to their office and surprised them with a rather strongly worded plea..."WE HAVE NO MONEY. WE ARE A PUBLIC SCHOOL. WHAT IS GOING ON!?" The man, Lorenzo/James Smith, told us to return the following day to get the check. It would be ready for us at the desk.
We returned the next day right after school ended, and after driving an hour from San Francisco, asked for our check. NO check was available. Also, NO Lorenzo/James. They wouldn't even let us in the office...(office "policy"). We sat outside the office until they closed two hours later, even after the young girls inside at reception threatened to call the police.
They have since given me a check, POST-DATED for Monday. I've heard horror stories about their checks bouncing and their accounts being empty. WE SHALL SEE ON MONDAY.
Ok, but this was not going to stop me from getting the kids to the Monterey Bay Aquarium in February. I contacted a company I had previously received a quote from that was about a hundred more than I had to spare in our Not Normal Yes Normal fund raising account.
Benjamin, the owner, was gracious, kind, and understanding about our situation. He told me that they had a bus available, and would be fine with the initial quote of approximately $1250...and he tacked on an additional hour to boot without charging us. GOLDEN!
I told him we had not received our refund of $1064 from the previous company, and needed to get it in order to pay Events West. He was very accommodating, and without hesitation gave me extra time to pay, which didn't matter, since Marquico didn't send the check as promised anyway.
I ended up paying for the trip out of my own money...which in hindsight may have not been the smartest thing. I'm eating Top Ramen and spaghetti for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
But it was necessary, obviously. We couldn't skip this event.
The trip was awesome. Our driver, Charles, was a big hit with the kids. And although the bus showed up 30 minutes late, we made it to Monterey with plenty of time to eat our lunch over-looking the beautiful ocean. It was pure field trip bliss.
I'm still praying the check from Marquico/SF Charters will clear on Monday, and that the terrible rumors about their empty bank account will be false. However, I have lost my trust in these people. I have no illusions about this situation any longer, and am just planning on biting the bullet on this money, if I must.
A couple of horse tranquilizers may quell this increasing rage that is making the bile rise in my throat over Marquico. But Events West restored my faith in the charter bus industry.
And also, one last note: Yelpers, you are truly awesome people. I have NEVER in my Yelp life had this many "useful" votes on a review. It's just too bad it was for a review of a company like Marquico.
Thank you so much for all the fabulous support and kind words. I have no way of expressing how grateful I am for all of your advice...and offers to go vigilante in my honor.
Yelpers are too cool for school, truly!

Was misquoted prices and details several times. Sales rep was using terms I don't think he even understood. He kept saying his price was "all inclusive" then would tack on charges and such as we went along.
"Yes this is the all inclusive price, plus $50 for gas...."
Maybe I am confused, but I thought "all inclusive" meant all inclusive.
Pass on Events West, Use Bauers Limo instead.
Thirty-five of us rented a trolley bus from them and bar hopped throughout the city. It was the very last time for this company that they allowed unsupervised on-board alcohol (because of insurance).
Service was terrific, from Ben in the office, to the driver. Costs were reasonable too.
And we're doing it again!
