    Sheila gave me the perfect wedding.

    Sheila was the 2nd wedding planner we interviewed last Oct and we felt the instant connection with her.  We hired her soon after our meeting.  Throughout the 11 months of planning, she was always there for my husband and I; she learned about our tastes and interests to make the wedding more personal, more fun, and more us.  She went out of her way to go to all the meetings with us; meeting with hotel event coordinator, florist, even dress shopping!  And guess who went to my dress alteration appointments with me?  Not my mom, not my MOH, Sheila did.  She really went above and beyond.  

    At the day of my wedding, Sheila was running everywhere to make sure all the vendors were here on time for setup, making sure everything was okay. She was the superwoman.  I didn't have to worry about a single thing.  All I did was sitting in my room waiting for my makeup artist to show up.  We really couldn't do it without her.  

    Sheila is young, fun, has good taste; Sheila is a perfectionist.  Thank you yelp for helping us found Sheila!!!  I will definitely recommend her to friends and families who have weddings and special events coming their way!

    Sheila was definitely a life saver, both before and during the wedding.   We started out by trying to plan our wedding but really, if you aren't the type of people who have been dreaming about it, you really don't have any idea where to start.    You easily get overwhelmed with number of options and choices and don't really know where to start.   For us, we decided that we wanted to definitely hire a wedding planner because I have had friends who did not have one and I saw how much stress that the bride was going through on what is supposed to be her special day.

    It worked out even better than I imagined when we hired Sheila.   Basically, we decided to read a few reviews and then meet them in person to get a feel for their personality and our chemistry.  From the first minute that we met her, we could tell that she was full of energy and had plenty of ideas.   She has done plenty of weddings before and was able to patiently answer our questions.    She helped us set up appointments with potential vendors and went with us to most of those appointments.   We were able to lean on her experience in dealing with wedding vendors to help us decide.   Also, don't worry about Sheila trying to push her to her favorite vendors, nearly of our vendors originated as our choice but by the end of our wedding, it felt like she knew them better than we did.   We did get one recommendation on the DJ and he worked out better than we thought.

    One bonus also for grooms, Sheila quickly became very good friends with my bride, so she provided a secondary outlet for her.   This was extra nice in the sense where I knew that my fiancee would also have someone to speak with for wedding related items.   I will say that it certainly made my life easier!   After all, for most guys, what do we really know about things such as shoes or color schemes or flower types?  Sheila really helped my fiancee simplify things for me by coming up with a few ideas and asking my opinion.   Otherwise, the conversation would have been along the lines of

    "What kind of flowers do you like?"
    "Er, I dunno..."
    "You never help with anything!!"  (Storms out)

    Ok that's an exaggeration but guys, you know what I'm talking about!

    As for the wedding day itself, Sheila was a whirlwind of activity.  From coordinating with all of our vendors, to making sure everyone was where they needed to be, to helping the helpless groom and his groomsmen with their boutonnieres, she made life so much easier.  I'll guarantee that my wife would have had some kind of a nervous breakdown if it wasn't for Sheila.   But basically, we just had to show up, get ready, and she told us where we needed to be.   One thing I remember from the end of the wedding night was the sight of Sheila, sitting in a chair, looking exhausted because she was basically everywhere that day/evening.

    I cannot recommend her more highly.  For future grooms - hire her.. Right away...  It'll be the best first decision you ever made in your new life with your future ball and chain.. I mean wife!

    If there is one regret I have with regards to my wedding, it is hiring Sheila from Event solutions to be our wedding planner.  We hired her based on her reviews on yelp and because she seemed nice, but it was the worst mistake we made with regards to our wedding.   If you hire her, I hope you have a better experience than we did...

    First and foremost, I would have to be INSANE to give anything less than 5 stars to Sheila. My experience with Sheila is not as a bride, but working with her as a design consultant. If you are looking for a new best friend while you plan your wedding she is definitely your girl. She is personable, experienced, will get you great deals and discounts and truly cares about her clients. In addition, she has developed close relationships with several of her vendors and I can honestly say that nobody has said one mean thing about her behind the scenes...believe me, I've heard some mean things! While working with her, numerous event coordinators at the venue have said she is one of the best (if not the best) and easiest wedding planners they have ever worked with. Her expertise is focused on building relationships with her clients, walking them through all the steps to planning a perfect wedding and providing a stress-free wedding that runs smoothly.

    Sheila Dizon.

    Wonderwoman.

    Gift from God.

    Wedding: a celebration of life long commitment between two lovers.
    bride's definition: a woman's life long dream (with every little detail planned - from how many people there will be at the wedding to what shade of blue her underwear will be) turned into reality
    groom's definition: no comment.
    bridesmaid's definition: a nonchalant feeling - happy because your friend is getting married but also scared because your friend is getting married and the fangs come out if her wedding doesn't go her way.

    When I learned that I was going to be a bridesmaid for a summer wedding in San Francisco, I thought I would have to help the bride (who is a good friend, but I also didn't want to be co-wedding planner with the rest of the bridal party..well, let's just say - I don't do well with group projects).

    That all changed though when I heard that there was a wedding planner involved, I was relieved. Apparently my friend (smart girl) selected the BEST package with Sheila and this meant that Sheila took care of every little detail - flowers. cake. napkins. food. dj. everything.

    And Sheila is a young, hip woman. She knew the bride's and groom's taste and catered to what they wanted. She also gave her opinions on what should/shouldn't be done due to her experience of planning other events - weddings, parties, business parties, etc. Sheila seriously made my friend's wedding day. The bride relaxed (and this girl can get pretty stressed..) and did not have to worry about a single thing - Sheila was always near her to make sure if the bride needed anything, she would be there to answer questions, help with the bridal party, help with last minute changes/details...I mean, Sheila did it ALL.

    Sheila is much more than a wedding planner - she goes out of her way to make sure everything is o.k. and that the bride is relaxed and content. I have never seen my friend/the bride glow the way she did that day. Of course, it was because all of her friends, family members were there to celebrate such a beautiful day - but it was also because Sheila had helped so much - more than just the administrative, planning details. Sheila made sure to make my friend's dream turn into reality.

    I also went to a birthday party that Sheila threw for a mutual friend of our's. Sheila did a fantastic job. I went from going to a complex wedding that she organized to a fun birthday party that she planned at a club.

    I'm kicking myself for not reviewing Sheila as soon as I should have, but I am waiting for her to throw some more parties and events so I could get a better idea of how many stars I should really give her.

    I have a birthday coming up in August.
    I'm going to Sheila.

    Sheila is the most amazing wedding planner. I might want to have 3 weddings after my first just so she can plan them for me.

    Sheila is amazing.

    I was unconvinced at first that I needed a wedding planner.  Looking back, I truly do not know what I would have done without her.  Seriously, that's not an exaggeration in any way.  (I think my mother an I would have killed each other if we had to do it ourselves.)

    She's interesting, smart, and funny on a personal level; hard working, incredibly driven and impeccably professional in her work.  She went out of her way for us throughout the planning process: from driving us all around town to see venues to maping every detail of our eccentric and 'unique' wedding.  She is a wealth of professional knowledge and saved us a lot of money in venues and an astonishing amount of time one everything else.  

    The event was a dream come true.  Everything went off without a hitch.  Although I'm sure there were challenges to be delt with throughout the day, as the bride, none of them touched me.  I had a completely perfect day.  I'm actually getting a little misty thinking back on it.  

    Thank you Sheila.  You're an amazing woman and I'm so glad that I know you.

    It usually takes that "special/or not so special something" to propel me to write a review...and this one is definitely that "special something."

    I was a Maid of Honor in a wedding during the summer in SF this year and boy...I WAS IMPRESSED!  For goodness sake, I was the Maid of Honor and part of my duties was to make sure the bride was taken cared of and everything going smoothly but when the bride surprised me that there was going to be a wedding planner involved...(I have a newborn and a toddler to deal with) wheew...

    Sheila Dizon and her crew were AMAZING!!!  Professional, efficient, friendly...the whole event was seamless and when she showed me that timeline of hers...I'm like...WOW...talk about organization...and also the fact that she practically help planned the entire wedding, you would think I would feel left out but...not her...she kept all of us in the loop, what was happening, what's going to happen, brainstormed together...I was so so happy to see her on wedding day cuz I already knew that I would have my hands full with my kids and Sheila and her crew being there, TREMENDOUSLY helped keep my stress and the bride's anxieties in check.  Totally awesome crew and would definitely recommend.  As a matter of fact, I already did to my toddler's teacher who is getting married next year.

    ABOVE AND BEYOND! That's what Sheila does... she made it her personal mission to be there for any and all things needed... beyond just the job description. And the wedding went perfectly! we were calm, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed every moment while Sheila did all the stressing for us. She ran the show and everything went without a hitch, not to mention the place was GORGEOUS! She set us up with vendors that were amazing in quality and price. Not only that but she's so great to work with and just fun to be around. Don't try to plan your wedding on your own.. trust me.. it's not a splurge to hire a wedding planner. it's a necessity! esp if you want to ENJOY your wedding day.

    Just when I thought that i was gonna be a co-wedding planner for my best friend's wedding, she goes and hires Sheila. Sheila stepped in mid-planning of the wedding and totally amazed us. She took everything we started but didn't know how to complete and made it the wedding of my best friend's dreams. OKAY...my dreams too, but that's another story. Sheila took it upon herself to reassure us that the wedding would be in good hands. She did not disappoint ANYONE. She kept all 20 members of the bridal party in order, and made sure that everything flowed smoothly. Sheila's assertive yet passionate personality made it so easy for all of us to work with her. I know that I'm not speaking for myself when I say this because my best friend was able to enjoy her special day without worrying about the details. Sheila, thank you for everything you did for the wedding. I know everyone, (bride, groom, wedding party and guests) enjoyed that wedding from start to finish.

    If you are planning to get married in the near or far future, keep Sheila and Event Solutions at the tip of your tongue and at the front of your memory. You will not be disappointed, I PROMISE.

    Sheila is so AMAZING!  Her attention to detail and organization made my wedding so stress free.  All my friends have commented how wonderful everything was: from the flowers, the restaurant, the food, the photographer, music, etc.  Name it, she pretty much took care of everything for us.   She also gave us a wide range of options to choose from (and suggestions) and helped us negotiate with the vendors.  Sheila's the best.  She'll go out of her way to make sure you and your friends have the most wonderful time at your wedding.  
    P.S. Not only is she good at wedding planning, she's good at corporate events as well (trade shows, etc.)  My company uses her for these functions as well.  She's great.

    As a guy helping to plan my wedding, I never gave much thought to paying money for a wedding planner. However, I'm glad my wife convinced us to use Sheila. There many details and loose ends that need to be manged prior to a wedding, it is so important to have someone experienced to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly. I can not imagine to have worried about last minute details during our wedding day. Because of Sheila's wedding planning expertise, I was able to focus on my bride and my guests on the big day - Sheila focused on everything else!

    Sheila ..I am so grateful to have had her as my coordinator!!!  Sheila came in and just managed my hotel coordinator as well as my wedding party.  Two of which were not the easiest to work with...:)!!!  Sheila is able to handle any and all situations!!!  She works for her clients and keeps our best interests in mind at all times!!!  She was the go to woman for the evening for anything and everything!!!  If you  want assertiveness, a go-getter, Sheila is the woman for the job.  

    My wedding is still referred to as one of the best weddings, my family and friends have attended and I in no doubt give that credit to Sheila.  The program went smooth, neither my guest nor I had anything to complain about!!!

    Thank you Sheila, a job well-done!!!

    Sheila did an amazing job coordinating our wedding at the Brazilian Room. She did all the on-site coordination for the day.  I simply emailed her the details and the vendor info and she took over from there. She followed up with every vendor the day before (I had done this several days before, but some vendors were still confused...good thing she followed up!).  She even drove half the bridal party to the site. I didn't lift a finger or talk to anyone. I just showed up and after I was done getting my photos taken, the reception and ceremony was all set up and the wedding party was lined up and ready to go.  This was a Hindu ceremony (which are notorious for being extremely late and chaotic).  I'm happy that mine started on time and was only 45 minutes (a world's record for Hindu ceremony).  Old Indian folks were particularly impressed with how smooth and organized the event was.  Thank you Sheila!!

    We hired Sheila Dizon for my daughter's wedding this past August, and could not imagine having a more organized, talented, creative, generous and fun party planner for our wedding.  My daughter was a full time student, and I worked full time, so we quickly knew we needed help planning this summer wedding that needed to happen within five months! Somehow, without being pushy, Sheila kept us on track and we never felt 'crazy.'  I think this is especially amazing, given that we honestly had no idea what we wanted at the beginning!  My daughter was not one of those young women who had been thinking all of her life about what she wanted her wedding day to be, but Sheila quickly helped  her to develop a vision, and she made it happen! No one could have prepared me for all the details that come up near the end, and Sheila kept on top of them and attended to them perfectly.  I actually had to do very, very little as Sheila was so competent. The actual wedding day was just as wonderful, despite all the potential problems that could come up because the ceremony and reception were at different venues. The whole experience was absolutely wonderful, and in large part it was because of Sheila.  We highly recommend her.
