Worst customer service!!

Let me set the scenario to justify my dissatisfaction with the service...I scheduled an appointment for me and a gal pal who works in Fremont (around warm springs blvd.).  I planned the day so that after class I went  straight to my friend's work and hang out there until our appointment time. ..this makes it convenient for me so that I don't have to battle traffic between Fremont and Pleasanton where I live.  I called the place at 4:10 to confirm our appointment (since they messed up the last time that I rescheduled...that's another story for another time...) and I was told we are good to go then.  We leave my friend's work at 4:15 and get to the Spa in 10 minutes....door's locked.  Knocked on the door...no answer...waited a minute...knocked again...waited...still no answer...we did this for about five minutes.  Hmmm...I just confirmed our appointment a little less than half an hour ago, right??  Decided to check my voice mail...voila!!  A message from European Day Spa five minutes after I called letting us know that they need to cancel our appointment since one of the masseuse just called and will be out (sick or something...)...WHATTHE?!!!  Okay, given that they did call...but we thought that they could have given us some common courtesy by having someone stay at the Spa to wait for us and tell us then that our appointment was cancelled especially since they did not get a live person when they called....or at least leave a note by the door.  NEITHER one happened...

My friend and I will NEVER go back there again...there are WAYY better places to go to in Fremont in more ways than one....

My mom and I went into this Spa for a massage, scrub and wrap.  The lady who did my scrub and wrap was the daughter of the owners.  She is absolutely terrible!  She pretty much just slabbed on ton the scrub, and the wrap wasn't good either.  She gave my mom a facial, which my mom  did not like at all.   Her husband, the masseuse wasn't bad though.

I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The eyebrow waxing was great and the owner was very sweet.

BUT....

They burnt my poor little underarms before my wedding day.  This was about 5 years ago but felt I needed to share this info.

Only went once...I wonder why?

Very unproffesional service!  I had an 11:30  appointment for a spa pedicure and I got there 5 minutes early.  The lady at the front told me to wait a few minutes.  So I waited and waited and waited...for the next 15 minutes.  So I asked the lady on the front desk how much longer do I have to wait.  She gets up and checks the rooms in the back, comes back out and told me that the lady who was supposed to give me my pedicure was not around but there would be another lady who who would be available in the next half hour!   I got up and left.  I've been to a lot of spas and every spa I go to always takes me in on my sceduled appointment, ON TIME.  I hate people who waste my time.  This spa was a waste of my time and effort.  I'll just stick to going the Skin fitness day spa at the Fremont Hub.

If you're in the Milpitas area looking for a spa, here's one to consider.

Overall, I had a really good experience here. The estheticians and the therapists here are good; they're not gabby, and you'll walk out of there feeling like a million bucks. The best part is that you won't feel like you spent that much; as far as their prices go, they're on the inexpensive end.

I've never had a body wrap done, but Arti made it a pleasant experience. The body glo was especially nice.

The massage, done by Alina, was a tad on the hard side, but not overwhelmingly so. I'd imagine that an athlete, or anyone with overworked muscles would benefit.

For facials, Dolly is your gal. Her extractions are virtually painless!

The ONLY reasons why it doesn't get the full 5 is the exterior, and the fact that it's right next to a busy road. It's pretty hard to "get away from it all" if you can hear the cars driving by with their bass thumpin'. Also, if you're like me, Burke Williams was my first spa experience ... it really set the bar sky high as far as expectations go. So, if you're looking for amenities, you won't find them here.

But hey, if it keeps their prices low, then I'm all for it!

This is the first day spa I've been to, and I went for an integrated massage (combination of deep tissue and swedish).  I was a little nervous when I went in as it was my first time, but my therapist was very understanding and patient in explaining the procedures to me.  The room was nicely decorated- low lighting, soothing background music- and warm (I suppose most day spa have these?).  The massage itself was also very good, with the therapist making sure that I was comfortable every step of the way.  Would definitely go back again!

I was surprised at how good of a massage I got for a random find on the internet. It was a Sunday and I just really wanted a massage without having to go too far. I've been to La Belle in Palo Alto and didn't feel like driving and spending that much cash on an impromptu indulgence.
So I finally found European Day Spa in Fremont and they could take me within the hour. I was not at all impressed by the outer exterior or inner decor. Yes it had a peaceful setting, but it pretty much felt like many 'old office' spaces in Fremont tend to feel, just with a better smell and some dim lighting. No little fruits or cheeses and no fluffy robe, but still, the staff was nice and the massage person was actually waiting for me in the lobby area.
So my massage therapist, although very quiet, was great. I wanted an integrated sports and Swedish massage - and it was both deep tissue and a little painful (as those massages tend to be) in areas I wanted focused on (like my neck and back), but also relaxing and enjoyable during the pampering Swedish massage on my arms and legs. Something I noticed was that he was very good at keeping things discreet to where I felt comfortable, but yet was able to give a full massage. Some places cheat you out of doing the lower back or upper leg massages or they might just toss the cover sheet around so you feel all drafty and chilly.
All in all, a star off for decor and setting, but the massage itself was pretty darn good. I'd go there again, especially for a massage that lasted over an hour but just cost $75.
