I have to give Brian credit for his review, I remembered reading it, and also, like him, after trying Golden Gate 2, we went and got some take out, since we were all pretty full.

We ordered two items and paid cash. Burek, which is a cheese (or pork) filled pastry dish, which looks like a cinnamon bun. It had a white dipping sauce, and cost 3.99, it was pretty good. We also had the Half Cevapi Bread, which had little sausages inside it, for 4.95.

It was a pretty nice change, they had a sign that listed home-made specials also, though I didnt inquire about those. It's a small food market, which had teas, meat, flour, cakes, juice, etc from primarily bosnia, croatia, hungary. there were a few packages that had russian & armenian. It also has 4 or 5 tables for you to eat at. It also had a large assortment of cookies, cakes, sweets & chocolates that were chinese.

On my way to Golden Gate 2 I noticed this little shop in the same plaza and I curiously ventured in to investigate. It's very small, and just inside there are a few rows of strange groceries I've never seen before. At the back of the place is a cash register and behind it was a nice lady who was kind enough to help me in my utter distress.

She said she was from Bosnia and all the groceries are products from eastern Europe, including meats, teas, soft drinks, noodles, and lots of stuff I am clueless about. I wanted to try something and asked for the everyday tea of Bosnia (which apparently is an apricot blend), when I noticed the left side of the shop happened to be a small restaurant. Too curious to decline an opportunity for foreign food I asked what they served.

Of course, all the items I was also unfamiliar with being that they were from Eastern Europe, so I just asked for the most typical everyday food. With a smile she said she'd make me Cevapi, a very basic dish that everyone in Bosnia apparently loves. The Cevapi was just two thick and doughy pieces of Turkish bread on top of each other with 5 pieces of veal sausage in between. It came out with a few peppers and sour cream, and some hummus-like dipping sauce that was quite good.

I enjoyed the meal, which was only $4.50, and ended trying an orange soda called Jupi as well before leaving. All in all I enjoyed the experience, it's certainly different. The place is clean and neat, and the person working there was quite helpful. Try it sometime for something altogether different.
