A Ukrainian friend introduced me to this little store about five years ago. She explained everything the first few times I went there. She no longer lives locally but I still stop in.
When I go, I am always looking for something specific (aerated chocolate is a fav, and the birds milk candies) that I know they will have on hand. Caviar is a great price and so is their deli stuffs. And where else can you find good English tea at a great price?
Stuff can look questionable in the fridge, but I try to think of it as stopping by grandma's house and rooting through her fridge for goodies. Some staff speak English, most don't but I don't really care since I know what I want and and can read the register when my stuff is rung up. -

The ratings for this place are completely unfounded. This is a great Russian market with quality products. In fact the quality here is better than other markets of this type. Additionally, they have a HUGE candy selection. If you love delicious chocolate goodness, come check this place out. We did and keep coming back. As far as the writing, the staff speaks perfect English, ask them if you have questions :)
Tip: most candy is ~$5.99 a pound with quality that usually only comes with boxed candies; YUMM! -

This place is great if you're looking for Russian, Ukranian, Polish, etc. groceries. The reviewer who expected to find German food was just in the wrong store. I've been to plenty of Russian grocery stores around United States and this one is great! The deli meats are good quality, they have their own lightly salted cucumbers (like brined pickles, but with less salt), they have locally made pelmeni (dumplings) and pastries. Some of it looks a bit weird (the homemade pelmeni are just put into ziplock or plastic bags and labeled with a marker), but I've never had a bad experience. The candy is usually fresh and of high quality. You can also find things that are really tricky to find around here - aerated chocolate, real caviar, smoked Russian meats.

I have driven by Europa a dozen of times and could never really tell what it was. From the windows and the name I figured it was some kind of European grocery store. Finally, curiosity got the best of me and I convinced my friend to go with me and check it out (who knows, it might be the coolest grocery store on earth, right?!)
The store is rather small and there is a pastry counter at the front with homemade sweets. The two clerks were speaking a foreign language and paid no attention to my friend and I (I don't blame them, we probably looked completely helpless). I think most of the products were Polish and everything was written in either Polish or Russian so I couldn't really tell what all of the items were. All of the packaging was candy-colored but unfortunately none of it contained candy (even though it was written in a different language I can tell the difference between sweets and anchovies). There were some home made frozen dumplings that I was VERY curious about but I couldn't tell what the fillings were so I passed fearing some of them may contain something strange and pickled.
There were a few questionable items in the refrigerators - namely some pre-packaged sad veggies and a log of meat that may or may not have been veal.
It was an interesting store, I just wish I knew the language so I could decipher what the products were. -

I was going in hoping to find German items....not much.....if you are looking for Russian or Polish though, they got tons of stuff. Most of this stuff I couldn't recognize, so for me, eh. You really should take a look for yourself though.
