Euro Pane has so many delicious options!

Today I tried their meatloaf sandwich for the first time.  The meatloaf was piled high and had a good texture.  The flavor was mild and went well with the cranberry walnut bread I paired it with.

I've previously tried their ham sandwich, smoked salmon, and egg salad...all good.  Their quiche is excellent as well.

My favorite breads are the rosemary currant and cranberry walnut.

After my sandwich I finally tried one of their macaroons.  I chose the caramel, which was dusted with sea salt.  So heavenly.  Very sweet though...I could have used some milk or coffee to wash it down.

I didn't see one of my favorite pastries today (the blueberry brioche filled with custard) so I picked a lemon blueberry coffee cake and whole wheat scone to go.  I won't know how they are until after breakfast tomorrow, but they look and smell fantastic.

I've never had an issue with service.  Today Sumi took my sandwich order (I felt a little in awe ;-), and everyone else behind the counter was pleasant and perfectly efficient.  I went at lunch so it was pretty slammed, but my order came out reasonably quickly.  Also, when I asked what certain baked goods were, the employees knew their stuff!

I was tempted to give a four star rating because it never fails that my sandwich bread is burned/charred in some spots.  I like toasted bread, but it always seems a little too toasted.  Not a big deterrent though...I'm always happy with their sandwiches and baked goods.  Can't wait to try their caneles!

I didn't really think of much when I came here and even looking at the menu was not so impressed. Granted I came on a lazy Sunday afternoon so they ran out of their famous roast beef and some other breads that are popular items of the day. The place looked almost dingy small and I definitely started to let my hopes down. The lady in line in front of me told us that their sandwiches are great and I proceeded to order their turkey on multigrain bread. My bf got their turkey on the cranberry walnut bread and so did his brother (except he got salmon).

The sandwiches are definitely not big but for me they were plenty meaty indeed. The bread was OMGOSH heaven. This is what really hit the five star mark for me because although the sandwich was good, it was good flavored and many people / places can make a delicious sandwich ... but their breads are just absolutely amazing. They're the perfect amount of hard / flavorful crunch around the crust (even for a crust hater like me!) and the inside is SO soft and moist and full of flavor. The cranberry walnut bread is ESPECIALLY notable here because I ended up with a sliced loaf that was gone by the end of my 5 hour drive back to the bay. MMM mm good!

God, I love Euro Pane.

Sometimes, I want to shout it from the rooftops. "I love their bread! I love their pozole! I love the pressed ham and cheese sandwich, though I'm over the MOON for it with a little bit of sun-dried tomato pesto added! I love that they use fresh roasted ham and turkey! I love that their egg salad is perfect yolky-creamy!"

This is the best bread you can get on our side of town, period. Fresh, soft, fabulous. They also make some of the best sammies you can find in Pasadena. I always grab my grub to-go, and though I've never had a problem with the service, I can see how others may have. Service people have always been accommodating and polite, if not a little on the slow side. In the end, it doesn't really matter. I would deal with the surliest service on earth to be able to fix my grilled cheese sandwiches on that glorious bread.

First off, the service staff here at Euro Pane Bakery coudn't win a 50 yard dash at the Special Olympics if they were given a 100 yard head start. They're unorganized, inattentive and slow. The deli help took two people's order before me, even though I was clearly ahead of them in line. When he finally got to me, kept wandering off while I was trying to place my order. The cashier coudn't figure how to ring up my order, charged me for candy when I only asked for the price and didn't give me a receipt until I finally asked out of irritation. At best they're harried and at worst poorly trained and uncaring.

Then we made the mistake of sitting out front where the wild things are. Turns out there is a steady stream of homeless characters walking along Colorado Boulevard, the majority of them smoking and blowing it towards the tables as they amble by. At least two of them had collected enough earnings during the day to go inside and order food which means panhandling must be paying pretty well these days.

So it's a testament to the quality of the food that I've somehow still given them three stars. It's basic deli food to be sure, but you have a choice of five or so types of bread and a dozen or so sandwiches to choose from. Each is fresh and delicious. The meatloaf sandwich on sourdough was really nicely done and the Turkey on Rosemary Currant bread was divine. There is a tasty Berry Ice Tea and a thick, flavorful Lemonade that really hit the spot.

Still the real reason to come here is the dessert and while it was late in the day and close to closing, they had a large selection of their rather famous French style macaroons. Approximately the size of a silver dollar and even more expensive, they come in a variety of flavors.
At about a $1.50 apiece, I thought for sure I would be disappointed but they were better than advertised. Flaky little wafers of Raspberry and Chocolate that melt in your mouth. You'll only get a few seconds of pleasure, but it's a delightful few moments.

I thought to myself, I should give this place another go.

Big mistake.

Got there between 2pm and 3pm on a Saturday.  There was only one more person ahead of me.  There were two individuals who were working behind the counter.  One individual was assisting the person in front of me.  The other pretended that I didn't exist.

And then after the other individual finished ringing up the customer in front of me, she also joined in pretending that I didn't exist.  I waited for about 5 more minutes and turned around and left.

I am *NEVER* coming back.  Zero stars because I couldn't even get one single item.

I came here on a hot dry Autumn day...with the hopes of finding an nice sandwich place to cool down too.  I ended up finding 1) a sandwich place and 2) a non-airconditioned sandwich place.

I must have totally missed the boat when I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on their cranberry bread.  I was expecting to write a rave review about this ooh-la-la Euro Pane bakery...but honestly, my chicken was a bit bland and disappointing.  The bread was good, but the crust was hard enough to scratch my mouth upon biting it.

Overall...the ingredients were all there, but the chemistry between me and Euro Pane wasn't.  I might give it another try...I'll choose egg salad next time.

Good quality ingredients, good bread.  Chicken salad sandwich was bland and expensive (around $8) considering the size (small) and that it came with nothing, not even garnish or a pickle.

Wife's red pepper and goat cheese sandwich was the same.

Noisy with seating on Colorado Blvd. Inside kinda cute but not too exciting.

Stopped by on my way to a potluck and ordered two full boxes of macaroons and French pastries. They only had two types of macaroons this time so I got 10 chocolate and 10 salted caramels ($1.65 each). Contrary to many Yelpers who have labeled them as "the best" macaroons, I thought the texture of the chocolate was harder than Diddy Riese's cookies while the salted caramel was a lot better with the sprinkles of salt unintrusive and rather delightful in complementing the sweet caramel filling.

As for the pastries, I got two cinnamon rolls ($2.35 each), croissant ($2.35), monkey bread ($2.10), chocolate brioche ($2.60), bear claws ($2.60), chocolate croissant ($2.75), and my fave blueberry brioche (2.85). I had the chance to try a small piece of the chocolate brioche and chocolate croissant at the potluck and thought the brioche was a bit harder and bready than expected while the chocolate croissant was very well done. The texture of the croissant was crisp and buttery while generous fillings of dark chocolate were sinful and devine at the same time. Four stars for the experience of going to Yelp pastry heaven and back. Trust me, Jin Patisserie still has the best macaroons but I'm still a big fan!

My friend suggested we met there before heading off to the Huntington Library and it was a damn good suggestion! I ordered the turkey sandwich on rosemary/currant bread. It was heavenly. The flavours of the bread complimented the turkey rather well; a nice melange of savoury and sweet. For dessert, I caved and ordered a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and large curl of white chocolate. Another win! My only concern was the wait, as I heard other customers complain about a 25 minute wait. I think I lucked out when it only took 15 minutes for my order.

The egg salad sandwich is delicious!  You can choose whatever bread (I chose the cranberry one) and it's always toasted to perfection!  The egg salad is prepared consistently everytime.  Also, there's no celery (I hate celery) in the egg salad.

The macaroons are great.  I love the sea salt caramel macaroons.  The cookies are awesome.

Regarding the owner, I never thought she was rude.  She always seemed to be happy and making kisses to little kids.  Maybe you should take a child in with you.. that may be her kryptonite?

Okay, I knew this place was pretty great, but it was only after coming here a few times that I learned she earned her stripes with (quasi?) celebrity chef Nancy Silverton.

The sandwiches are out of this world, so don't balk at the 8 or 9 dollar price.  If you want cheap, go three doors down to Subway.  If you want fresh and delicious, pull up a chair.

Their sides and desserts LOOK fantastic, but I've never ventured away from the sandwiches.  I LOVE sandwiches.  Next to pizza, they're probably my favorite thing to eat.  I usually go for the feta and sundried tomato on olive bread, but the roasted red pepper and goat cheese runs a close second (and I don't usually even like red peppers.)  I don't eat meat, so I can't vouch for the other sandwiches, but whenever I bring friends they seem happy.

The place used to have a problem with slow service, but the last couple times I've gone, everything went pretty fast.  Not sure which is the rule and which is the exception, so I guess I'll just toss it out there that I have been known to wait.

My one gripe is the insufferable clientèle.   Yeah, yeah, I know I'm implicating myself somewhat, but oy, the organic tatsoi crowd with the hemp messenger bags and the $500 sunglasses.  It's like a Brown University 20 year reunion in this place  sometime.  Bring your ipod and turn it up so you don't have to hear them carry on about how their precocious daughter Tallulah (she can ask for soy milk in  three languages!) has a play date at the Arboretum.

Oh man...I shared the roasted veggie sandwich on ciabatta with the sea salt caramel macaroons and the raspberry custard tart with a close friend. We were absolutely satisfied! I've never had a veggie sandwich that freakin good!

We went midday on a Sunday. We didn't have a wait but could see that a long line came in waves and there was always someone ordering at the counter. The wait for our sandwich wasn't bad (7 minutes maybe), and the service was all smiles for us. No complaints there.

I don't live in the area but when I did I couldn't get enough of Europane. I see that the quality of food hasn't changed a bit! I'll be dreaming about them until my next visit!!! It will be soon...especially since my brother talks about it all the time and it was just listed as a favorite bakery on Evan Kleinman's (of KCRW's Good Food show) Facebook page. yum yum yum!

The food here is pretty good, the pastries are very good, and the coffee is excellent.

I don't feel they keep the front of house clean enough.  The counter with the sugar and milk for the coffee is always filthy with crumbs, and the way the dirty spoon cup is right next to the box of coffee stirrers looks like a health-code violation waiting to happen.  I also wonder if some of the things behind the counter really should be refrigerated instead of sitting out.  I also don't like how the door handle is always sticky.

When it's hot they don't turn on the A/C, leaving the inside stuffy and hot.  Also, the lighting in the kitchen area is not very good.  I wonder what would be lurking back there if they had enough light to see into the corners.

I wish Sumi, the great chef that owns this place, was a little more insistent about keeping the front tidy and neat.

Walking into Euro Pane, I was quite excited.  The place was buzzing with guests.  It was rather small, but it featured both a seating area inside and outside.  The inside was quite warm.  Not sure how well their A/C operates, but the temperature will be cooling down soon.

I came for the bakery, but I noticed that many people were here for lunch.  It looks like Euro Pane may be a good sandwich/salad/soup place.  It might be a good alternative to the popular chains Panera Bread and Corner Bakery.

The bakery counter was quite small and picked over.  There just was not much there.  And of what was there, none of it looked that great.  There were some puff pastry twists (maybe cinnamon--I didn't get them because they looked too plain and bland), some miniature tarts, a few flourless chocolate desserts, some cookies, and brownies (I'm always weary about getting brownies from a bakery; they are often dry).

I got the chocolate chip cookies.  They were out of the big ones so I got two small ones.  The chocolate chip cookies were good.  Nice taste with good nuts (walnuts, I believe).  There were two tarts--a macadamia nut tart (that looked like a pecan pie tart) and a blueberry tart.  I went for the blueberry.  Very dry, and the fruit was just not that distinct.  Very disappointing.

I'm not in the Pasadena area much so I'm not sure if I will be back.  I would like to come back and give some of their other desserts a shot.  3 stars for the chocolate chip cookie and barely 2 stars for the blueberry tart so 2.5 stars total.  Service was okay.

My boyfriend and I discovered this place over a year ago and have been pretty consistent customers. They have excellent coffee and pastries (try the lemon bars and the double chocolate cookies!) and I love the frittata. The French toast is to die for! Both the turkey sandwich and the red pepper and goat cheese sandwich are fantastic.

That being said, their service is troubling. Extremely slow and unfriendly. It almost seems like the people behind the counter are irritated that you are there supporting their business. It's tough to understand and is the reason I won't give this place above three stars. Hopefully one day the owner will see some of these reviews and will get her staff in check.

i had lunch here this past week,  and had the veggie sandwich and a pumpkin square.  i ordered the egg salad, which i had no idea had such a reputation, and was told as i was paying that they were out.  the ordering and counter service was a little awkward, but in no way rude.
the veggie sandwich was good, and made with great multi-grain fresh bread, which the girl at the counter had recommended.
but it was the pumpkin square that will bring me back here.  i'm sure it's a seasonal item and won't be there every time, but it had a lovely decadent crust and classic pumpkin filling, and eating it with my hands was just over the top.  yum.

If it weren't for the fact that portions are pretty decent here, you might think Euro Pane favors the slogan 'quality over quantity.'

Food: LOVE the open-faced egg salad sandwich (http://www.yelp.com/bi...). Not only does it practically glow with all that delicious yolk coating the chunks of chive-covered whites, it tastes the way it looks. The chicken salad sandwich also looked scrumptious (http://www.yelp.com/bi...), but I heard the meat was a bit dry. Sandwiches come served with a hefty slice of watermelon, good watermelon at that. I was also able to try the seasonal plum tart (http://www.yelp.com/bi...). This was a great way to end the meal. The plums were tangy and complimented the sugary crust.

Atmosphere: Euro Pane is situated on Colorado Blvd. like almost every other restaurant in Pasadena. The interior is pretty cramped and not ideal for large parties, but I think there is one table that is fairly large if you don't mind fighting for it. The furniture is reminiscent of antiques. I wouldn't mind curling up in here and reading a good book by the window.

Service: Not the most friendly at times, but they whip up your food in good time.

Synopsis: When I get an intense egg craving, I will be back.

Oh Euro Pane... How we are conflicted.

Your food, it is so delicious.  Your sandwiches, so fresh.  Your french toast, perhaps the best I've had.  Your frittata, just what I like on a Saturday morning.

Your service... terrible.  I don't give a damn if you run out of any item.  There's plenty to order and try.  Don't treat me like I'm some street urchin trying to order a drink at Sky Bar.  Get a clue and improve your service and maybe then I'll start recommending you to people again.  For now, I'm not even sure I'll go back.

So you see... I'd like us to hang out, but I don't think we can do that until you understand how important service is.

/edit: There is one girl there that is consistently nice, smiling and delivers good service.  The rest could stand to take some notes from her.

I read several of the reviews on here before I went there to check it out. It's hard to find by car so I parked nearby and headed on foot. It's amidst a mini strip mall like someone mentioned on an earlier review and slightly hidden by a tree/bush.

I was originally looking for a place to buy macaroons. I have never tried them before and so I was curious. They ran out of the caramel and sea salt so I had an expresso with chocolate ganache filling. It was like biting into a mixture of a Milano cookie & a chewy chocolate chip cookie. Superb! I have to go back and try the different flavors.

I also bought an egg salad sandwich on rosemary bread. Let me preface my opinion by saying, I hate egg salad. I adore eggs, but egg salad is one of those dishes that I absolutely detest! However, Euro Pane completely changed my mind. I loved their egg salad. I couldn't stop smiling while biting into thick chunks of egg with the right amount of mayo and chives. I know exactly where I am going the next time I have an egg craving.

As for the service, I felt slightly hurried to leave because everytime I went up to the register the guy would say, "That's to go, right?" But my food came fast and there wasn't much of a crowd to compete with. I visited around 3-4pm on a Friday. I'm definitely going to come back and give the other menu items a try.

Speed. And the deliciously fresh food. That's my takeaway from my first visit here this weekend. The line to order was long, but moved super fast, and our sandwiches were delivered to our table before my girlfriend was even done paying. (Yes, I make her pay for lunch. But she made me buy her a new car. I think she wins.) I'm not going to expect this level of efficiency every time, but it was a great way to make a first impression. The food itself made the second great impression: the tuna sandwich on Brioche was delicious. I'd never had Brioche before, which is really soft and semisweet, almost like a milder version of Hawaiian sweet bread. I also had a small pear tart and it was excellent and not overly sweet. I'll definitely be back to sample more of the goodness.

5 for the macaroons and the iced mocha. ThEE best macaroons ever.

1 star knock off because they always run out of the macaroons (esp. the flavors mentioned here) and they don't serve breakfast during the week, like the french toast that people are raving about. So I had the egg salad sandwich. It was a bit under cooked and too much. I hardly could taste the sun dried tomato pesto which is a shame. No air condition. Small cafe.

I have worked in Pasadena for the past three years and only discovered Euro Pane about a year ago. Sadly, my company will be moving to Glendale after next week, and my coworkers and I won't be able to make our once-a-week, sometimes-twice trips to the finest bakery cafe I've ever visited. I even come to Euro Pane on weekends whenever possible with my husband. I took my cousin and her friend, who were visiting from Washington, here also, and they too thought it was the best.

I haven't tried everything, but everything I have tried has been so incredibly high quality I didn't bat an eye when I saw the slightly pricey total on the register. I'm addicted to the tomato and feta sandwich, and the red pepper and goat cheese is also amazing.

My coworkers and I usually split one dessert when we go, and we've tried the vanilla tart with raspberries, the macadamia (?) nut tart, a sponge cake with cream and berries, the vanilla tart with blueberries and blackberries and raspberries, something with plums...and more. Yesterday we had a red velvet cupcake. The cream cheese frosting appeared to have flecks of vanilla and was topped with white chocolate shavings. On my own on the weekends, I've also tried the sea salt, hazelnut and pistachio macarons. I don't think I need to say anything more about those since they've been reviewed so extensively.

As for the service...well, I honestly have never had bad service here. The employees aren't fake and smiley, and yes, it can get extremely crowded so they don't have time to refill the jug of ice water on the counter, but everyone is perfectly nice. And yesterday, because I got stuck at the end of a long line after my coworkers had already ordered since I was saving a table for us, one of the guys who works there came up to me, took my order so it would come out with my friends' and told me I could just pay afterward. Sweet!

Even though my company is moving to Glendale (where my coworkers and I will become regulars at Porto's), the happy ending is that my husband and I are moving to Pasadena in November, hopefully within walking distance of Euro Pane.

Hands down my favorite bakery/sandwich shop!

My mom and sister brought home their leftover sandwiches yesterday...and they were still suuper fresh and delicious tasting today!! So, being reminded of my love for Euro Pane, I just had to come review it.

The egg salad sandwich is AMAZING.  The egg is always cooked perfectly, and it tastes so good with the sun dried tomato underneath and the freshly cut chives on top.  Not to mention the crunchy sourdough that brings it all together!! The chicken salad sandwich is good, too. The chicken is moist, but isn't drenched in mayonnaise like at most places.  Eat it with the current bread.  The sweetness from the currents gives it that perfect bite.

And their baked goods are top-notch.  Everything always looks sooooo good!! It's hard to resist ordering everything.  But you can't really go wrong--especially with the macaroons or the lemon bars.

I love the atmosphere, too.  Not the most trendy place ever, but very relaxed.  Perfect for chatting with friends or reading the newspaper if you come solo.

Consistently yummy food and always enjoyable.

I am a big fan of their macaroons and some other pastries, I have tired all of their macaroons and i personally think they are better than the ones i had before.-5 stars for their macaroons. unfortunately the service there is pretty bad, and all the staff there seems a little disorganized. on top of that what really bothers me is that they don't accept credit card unless you make a minimum purchase of $20 or over. I was once told that it is illegal for restaurant business to do something like that. in the end 3 stars for Euro Pane.

I don't get to come here much since I live way closer to Clementine, but whenever I'm in Pasadena, I make it a point to visit. The space is small and I don't care to sit outside since some of the sidewalk dwellers scare me. That said, the earlier you get there, the better your chances of snagging a seat inside.

The lemon bars are incomparable and the egg sandwich is delish. Get it with the olive bread to give it a little kick. Coffee is strong and direct, the way it should be.

The pressed ham cheese wasn't as successful. All the ingredients were fresh and of good quality, but nothing set it apart; it was like a bunch of very good backup singers.

There are so many other pastries to try. I can't wait until my next visit.

Good sandwiches, better pastries, but TERRIBLY SLOW SERVICE.

I worked a block away from Euro Pane for two years and they were almost as notorious for their food as they were for the sluggish service they provide.  I've been there dozens of times, and I've never seen an employee hustle.  Completed orders will sit in the back for 10 minutes, ignored.  A line out the door will form with the two counter people just milling about out back, chatting with customers.  If you get lucky, and there's no line, and you're just buying something from the pastry display, you have a chance of getting out of there quickly... but no guarantees.

Perhaps ignoring time is supposed to be part of the charm of the place.  Is that European?  I just want to warn anyone with a schedule, or that has come to expect hustle as a basic part of good service, that they will be infuriated by Euro Pane.

If you want to be treated like shit while ordering from a golden selection of lunch fare, this place may be for you!

Prepare to flex the wallet a bit.  The gourmet sandwiches are well worth it though.  I splurged and went for the salmon on olive bread, Mediterranean salad and a sweetie bread twist--and that was all split with my sweetie!  We got full and didn't feel like beached whales when we peeped a flick at the cheapie theater across the street.

My imagination tells me that the staff is a bunch of disdained twenty-somethings clawing frantically away from a vortex of credit card debt harvested after backpacking through Switzerland for a year and a half and now, for the love of god, they are stuck in Pasadena again.  Scoff.  Ugh.

Damn their good ass French toast!

Seriously, a place like this should have a much better customer service.  I don't know what it is, but the guy that took our order gave off the worst vibe possible.  It made it seem as though our presence there was annoying him in some way.  Maybe it was, but since it's your fucking job, at least ACT like you give a shit.

As I was saying.  Their French toast was fantastic.  That alone was enough to warrant a visit.  Not to mention their other pastries was really good too.

Bottom line:  Get there early, get French toast(and some other goodies), ignore shitty server.

I LOVE the Macarons here. In fact, the macarons here are something that you simply have to share with anyone you care about. They are so delicious.

The time that this place is open though, that's what kills me. I seldom ever am able to get there in time for the fresh stuff. But if I can, I'll do the trek and get a box of these tasty sea salted, lavender, espresso, berry and the best possible treat... CARAMEL SEA SALT!

DELICIOUS! Who would have thought that you'd like sea salt on a sweet cookie. The balance of sweetness and saltiness really kicks in.

The spot is a little small and while there's a parking lot to the place, the spots can fill quickly as there's a lot of shops here. So parking my be a problem at times, but it's worth the risk for getting these tasty treats.

Pick some up before a date and I'm sure you'll increase the chances of the other person not totally hating you or thinking you're a jerk. One of the best bakeries around.

This review is solely for their egg salad sandwich.  Came here yesterday afternoon pretty hungry.  Not sure what made me get egg salad as opposed to the chicken salad sandwich (next time) but I'm now so glad I did.  Not being a huge egg salad fan, this was delicious.  The eggs were perfectly and freshly cooked, the dill and dressing were complimentary and not too heavy.  The tomato pesto that covered my sourdough was tasty and very good with the lighter flavored eggs.  A small slice of watermelon didn't hurt either.  The sandwich took a good 10 mins.  Maybe that's just what it takes to make real, good food.

Euro Pane's French-style macaroons are the best in Los Angeles.  I'm confident in making that statement given that I've sampled macaroons from practically every bakery that makes these scrumptious little pieces of pure delight (which are nothing like the coconut macaroon).  Let me explain.

We actually served these macaroons at our wedding instead of the traditional wedding cake.    After falling in love the macaroons from the world renowned Laduree in Paris, my husband and I scoped out bakery after bakery in search of the perfect macaroon for our reception.  It was a tough task to undertake (sarcasm), but Euro Pane took the prize!  Our guests still rave about the macaroons.  (No one remembers what my dress looked like or our first dance, but they sure remember the macaroons!)  They were a big hit!   And the pastry chef/owner, Sumi, was very pleasant and made us the perfect macaroons.

Note that these macaroons are a little larger than a traditional French macaroon, but the texture and consistency are at par with the Laduree macaroons.  My personal favorite is the chocolate/caramel with sea salt, but the pistachio, lavender, and coffee flavors are also delectable.   These pastries are simply exquisite!

The chocolate chip cookies at Euro Pane are also pretty special.  They are soft and have a meringue-like texture.

I'm not a big fan of egg salad, but from what I hear Euro Pane's is fantastic.  I'll take your word for it.  Just give me my macaroons!

Went there for Ham & Cheese with cranberry bread, and Tuna salad with baguette today. But my favorite is the cinnamon roll as the desert. The cruchy texture and a little sweetness make a good balance. Dig into it!

I heard that this place had great carbs, and since I'm the biggest carb-whore I know, I had to try it. I ordered the red pepper and goat cheese sandwich on olive bread (about $7), and I couldn't have asked for anything better! The real star of the sandwich was the bread of course. It had little olive chunks and was so incredibly soft! I downed the whole thing in a matter of minutes! On the way to the restroom, I saw them making amazing big macaroons...chocolate...but too bad they weren't for sale yet. There were so many yummy lookin' treats I wanted to try, but alas, I had a long day ahead, so I wasn't able to take any with me...but next time!!
The only thing I didn't really like about this place was the organization and cleanliness...it could use some wiping down...and the goodies could be more neatly presented...minor stuff (i'm picky haha).

Pastry Chef Sumi Lee does it right with her always amazing pastries. On a recent Hollywood bowl trip a friend came with boxed deserts of , raspberry tart, chocolate tart, lemon bar, and apple turnover. I had a little of everything!  They also serve delicious sandwiches. My favorite the feta and tomato with pesto and olive bread, I add turkey. The blackberry tea is a great accompaniment.  Looking forward to their homemade pumpkin pie this fall!

The pastries are amazing. I was not expecting much when my friend wanted to meet at this place - it was in an unimpressive strip mall and the store was fairly crowded. I didn't think pastries could be that good... BUT THEY ARE! I haven't tried any of their sandwiches or egg salad, but give the pastries a try.

I'm not a regular here and I stopped on an utter whim because there was a parking space out front and I was starving.  Depsite the order/pay line chaos, the food was quite good.  I had a chicken salad on a delicious brioche and a chocolate chip cookie.  Topped it off with homemade lemonade.  Everything was top notch-fresh and delicious.  Seating is sparse so don't come during peak lunch hours I would suggest.  Also, the staff is very friendly and nice.

To top off a nice leisurely lunch, Elvis costello came in and ordered something behind me then sat and read the Pasadena Weekly whilst waiting for his sandwich.  Cool!

I recently had a croissant here and it looked a little puny.  But once I broke off a piece and put it in my mouth I was in love.  It was crispy to the touch and chewy in the middle with a nice buttery flavor.  When I dipped it in my cappuccino it held up just perfectly, it didn't melt.  Best croissant in Pasadena (the best in LA is Casbah on Sunset).

And the cappuccino's here are the best, but make sure you get someone who has worked here a long time.  I came here once and someone new looking made me a cappuccino in 20 seconds and it tasted like dirty water.  I dumped it after a few sips.  So inconsistencies aside, I just loved the combination capp and croissant, felt very euro that day.

Apparantly, my dog loves EuroPane.

I left my takeout chocolate macaroon and chocolate tart on my coffee table and he devoured it... AND he's not even sick! Good job, EuroPane!

So yeah, the place must be great if my dog gives it the thumbs up.

This one of the few hidden gems in Pasadena, and you ought to try their flourless chocolate cake and Maracoons. It is a rather low key cafe, and their pastry selection is not exactly very extensive... but they have a number of unique stuff you won't see in your regular (aka boring) American bakery.

Parking isn't so bad, although they don't have a parking lot per se... so you'll have to settle for street parking.
