6 reviews for Euro Lounge Cafe
We found this eatery last March when my wife and I decided to try someplace new for our anniversary. http://Restaurant.com had a deal on it so off we went.
Love at first bite is the best way I can describe it. My wife absolutely fell in love with the Pepper Crusted Black Angus Steak and I'm a big fan of both that steak and the Shrimp In Garlic Sauce. While the shrimp appears only on the Tapas menu, they occasionally have it as a dinner on their specials menu and have made it as a dinner for me any time I have requested it.
I have read the previous reviews of this establishment and they all seem to be referencing more the nightclub side of the business which is not of interest to me but we have found the food excellent, the owner and staff very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere very pleasant as long and you get there before the club crowd starts arriving.
We found the prices to reasonable in the moderate range ($21 and $18 for the above mentioned Steak and Shrimp dinners, respectively), the portions large and the quality of the food good. The dinners all come with soup or salad and the soups here are quite good. I have even found that soups I have historically disliked are prepared in such a way here that I find I like them.
To add to the value of this establishment, as mentioned above, they participate in http://Restaurant.com which means you can get a certificate worth $25 for $10 or less (depending on the time of the month). They also have a frequent customer program which is quite generous with the coupons they send out.
*eh* Nothing outta this world.
The *only* reason it even gets 2 stars is 'cause it's only a couple of blocks away from the best friend's house AND the copious amounts of entertainment that is furnished by the d-bags that come out of the woodwork to prey on the young meat. Ha!
Remember the feeling of possibly getting stuck in one of those tubes when you were a little kid at Chucke Cheese? Well that's how you feel at Euro lounge when you come for their night life.
The music is pretty good, the crowd isn't bad, the bartenders can NOT make a Manhattan, mojito or anything past a cranberry and vodka to save their lives. It's an overpriced place for drinks & food, they have the nerve to charge a cover, and they will fill the place to the rim with people.
I've tried this place a few times and left early every single time. There are tons of better places in the area, walk up a few blocks and hit up Molly's instead.
We came here for tapas. This place is mostly know for its nightlife, but we came during the day. The food is good, but way overpriced for a tapas bar. There are far too many in this area, so you don't have to pay these prices.
This place had a different name a few years back. When I lived on River Road, I would park the car and walk the 1/2 block and hang out at their bar. They've got decent food and there's parking. The light is always dim. Drinks are average priced, the bartender knew the standard drinks, nothing too crazy.
excellent happy hour...free tapas....buy one drink , get one free....excellent food and atmosphere...exotic bar tender......run to this one
