I've been in Boulder for 10 plus years and just went to my first Etown recording. What a great venue and set up. The atmosphere is incredible and length is perfect to take my wife. She doesn't get into the 10 p.m. starts at the Fox, but loved this format. Go to Etown.

A non-profit radio show that tapes out of the Boulder Theatre on Sunday evenings. Not only do you get to see up-and-coming and famous musicians for a pittance but you get to see a radio show taped live which is pretty interesting. I saw Jamie Cullum play at etown and he, little hobbit that he is, hopped up on top of his piano to play upside down and do a little jig. It was highly-amusing. The list of guest musicians (see it on their site) is highly impressive.
Hosts Nick and Helen Forster spend some good time interviewing the guests and doing some music of their own. It's a bit like Boulder's version of Prairie Home Companion without the funny accents.
