In short, Richard is THE guy to go to if you are looking for a new cellphone or service.
I was wooed by the stellar yelp reviews so I swung by the shop in West Portal to check things out, and from the moment I walked in, Richard was nothing but helpful, and not pushy helpful mind you, but genuinely helpful.
He was able to really help come up with the service provider that made the most sense for me and the device that fit me, including my budget.
Given my past experience in wireless stores, usually a really ambivalent sales staff, that knows very little about what they are selling and could care less what you want or need, or in the contrast case, a person as pushy as a used-car salesperson.
He was out of the device I wanted, so the next day he delivered the merchandise in-person, and with loads of extras for our trouble of having to wait until he had the phones.
You can't say enough about the customer service. 5 Stars for Eternal Wireless, and Richard! -

*OUT OF BUSINESS*
I agree with Denise Q. about Richard and his excellent service. I only bought a cellular telephone from him and didn't get all the accessories that goes with the Verizon LG I bought for (after taxes) $81.00! The service is by far way better than the one at Stonestown's Verizon Kiosk on the second floor. I lost my cell phone a few weeks back in Reno and knew that no one would return that $200 Verizon LG (my contract isn't up for renewal until June 2008) and was walking up and down West Portal checking out all the vendors and Richard must've glow in the dark to catch my eye. He closes at 7:00 pm and willing to stay open to accommodate your needs. Prices varies from low to high end. -

So after I was upset with Parrot Cellular across the street (AKA Cingular dealer) I decided to go to Eternal Wireless. I remember I had been in there once before to buy a cell phone charger, because both of my parents said that the guy in there was nice and they were cheaper than the Cingular store.
Richard is the guy in there. They carry Helio, Verizon and T-Mobile. He was super helpful. He spent the time to explain to us the data plans. He also showed the various phones he had, explained which ones he had in stock and which ones he could back order. My girlfriend was from LA, so she had some questions about coverage in the area, and he answered it. He also answered my multiple random questions about having multiple lines, how it works with data plans and the so forth. What questions he didn't know the answer to, he got on the phone right away with his contacts at Verizon.
I've always said, it's fine if you don't know the answer to my questions, it's more if you know where and who to go to for the question. We have all been new at a job at one point in time.
Richard is excellent. He was nice and patient and so helpful. We were almost convinced he wasn't really a sales guy and just a cool guy who liked helping two random chicks decipher the mess of information that cell companies like to put into thousands of brochures and pamphlets hoping that one will make you commit to a 2 year contract with them.
He put it all together for us. He explained which phones have the GPS Navigation system that talks to you (something I was seriously interested in, as I get lost still sometimes coming home from a new neighborhood), how the data plans work, which plan would include all the bells and whistles I like on my phones (insurance, texting, IM, internet, and the so forth) and how the contracts work.
Unlike when we walked out of the Parrot Cellular store, when we walked out of here, we felt bad that we didn't buy anything with him. And now we both want to go back and sign up with him, he was so nice and helpful.
SOLD, Richard we'll be back! -

Richard is amazing! I had been researching HELIO for awhile now and finally decided to make the trek out to West Portal to get one. As I walk into the shop, this guy was finishing up his new HELIO Ocean purchase. I had this sneaking suspicion that it was the last one! I was right....but Richard took a sad situation and made it an AWESOME one.
He signed me up, let me check out his HELIO phone and showed me all it's bells and whistles. He also threw in some goodies for my troubles and delivered my phone to me the next morning! All in all the service was TOP NOTCH! I would definitely recommend him to all my friends and after they see my new phone they'll be breaking down his door!

Richard was very helpful and well informed. he even delivered the phones to my work on his day off, with freebies, to make up for the fact that they were out of stock on the weekend. he has several different networks available there so you can compare and get the one that's right for you. best customer service ever- I highly recommend getting your new phone there.

Richard is patient and informed. His business delivery includes high quality customer service before making the sale. That is a plus for the mature consumer. By the time I came to Richard's shop, I was sick and tired of the nonsense and distractions of the cell phone industry, its contracts and carnival like equipment at the malls and phone stores. Oh, let's face it: this market is dominated by kids and its focus is for kids with the attention span of a knat). Receiving information, instructions and answers to my questions makes buying and comparison shopping easier. Glad I shopped here. Glad to recommend shopping there.
