I haven't been to their location in years - I used to work across the street - but I've enjoyed their catering. The coffee is always delicious and fresh. It's rare that I've had a really good straight doppio, but they manage to pull it off. The baristas are friendly and offer a great selection, from regular lattes to speciality drinks.
My favorite? They make an espresso where they add cinnamon to the grounds during the pull, and add a bit of raw sugar afterwards for sweetening. It's amazingly good, whether you have it as a latte or drink it straight. -

The friendliest baristas and some of the best coffee in Seattle. Highly consistent. Happy hour from 2-4, daily trivia for 50c off, punch cards. I can't say enough good things about this place. Seriously, go there.
Only downside I can think of is they occasionally get a big rush. But half the reason to go here is to take a break from work, so I don't mind standing in line for a few minutes every once in a while. -

This location has no competition since it's the only coffee place in the area. With that being said they do make great drinks. Usually 2 people working during the rush hour times keeps your drinks coming quickly. I usually head over here for work meetings and the layout is very comfortable. There are seats out on the sidewalk for warm days since it gets direct sunlight for hours. The windows slide open giving it an outdoor feeling and fresh sea air from the Puget Sound. There are several seats with tables inside that gives the feel of a home living room. There is also free Wifi so that you can get some work done when needed.
This is always my first choice when I'm at work and someone suggests getting coffee and it's more than me just being too lazy to walk all the way to another coffee shop. -

Who knew this was here? EE is on a street that's near QA and Belltown, but gets basically zero foot traffic.
For a company that mostly does catering, the actual cafe is not bad, with a decent selection of reasonably-priced sandwiches (and lots of sausages, for some reason) that can be pressed into their panini grill.
Free reading copies of the Seattle Times to enjoy with your meal help assuage that "I am sitting in an empty room that is pretending to be a coffee shop" vibe. -

Coffee is hit or miss. There are definately better places in walking distance. For the surrounding offices it is definately an easy stop to ease your caffeine addiction.
Baristas are friendly but service is excessively slow. I go here often and when I order coffee there is always a line to the door of people waiting which makes me guilty for ordering anything at all. Plan a good 15 minutes to walk in and walk out with something.
On a positive note, they do offer a great bagel sandwhich which is grilled on a panini press. -

We used Espresso Elegance at our wedding, and it was one of the highlights for guests, instead of the boring old coffee/tea service at a hotel. Guests were able to request anything they normally would get at a coffee shop, plus we asked for italian soda options for the kids. They were professional, accomodating (allowing us to personalize all the paper cups beforehand), and well priced. We had some special requests to fit the needs of our guests, and they were able to make it all happen. We absolutely loved Espresso Elegance, and have recommended them to many other friends for their weddings also.

I'm biased--I first found this place because it's the only coffee shop you can walk to from work without actually crossing a street. Then I went in and met a barista who was a dead ringer for a co-worker of mine, which amused me a great deal. When I won a cubicle-decorating contest at work, I got a $20 gift certificate for here.
Now for some useful information: They have a happy hour from 2pm-4pm that features $2 espresso drinks. They have decent baked goods and sandwiches. They have daily trivia questions (50 cents off your drink) which are just challenging enough to keep things interesting. They keep a file of customer punch cards, and Tuesdays are double-punch days. They have Limonata and Aranciata in the cooler. The space and seating are pleasant if somewhat low-key.
Some caveats: Some baristas pour better drinks than others. Their hours are only 8am-4pm. When it gets crowded, the wait can be quite long. There's no wi-fi (this might be seen as an asset to some).
Honestly, I don't know if you'd ever come here if you weren't walking from your office because you happen to work nearby. Maybe if you're visiting the Olympic Sculpture Park (http://www.yelp.com/bi...), you might take a detour here for some coffee. Either way, now you know. And if you need help with the trivia question, twitter me and I'll do what I can.Listed in: Places near Belltown / Lower…

I've been to a handful of local coffee shops and so far this place has the most bang for the buck. The special today was called a Morgan-palooza, how cute is that? It's espresso with a splash of amaretto and (I think) hazelnut. An 8oz was only $2.75. Delicious and not too sweet. They don't have much seating, so I see this place as a grab-and-go cafe, but they're located right by the office, so it's super convenient for me. The baristas have always been friendly and I never feel like "just another customer". :)

"Sure, let me wash my hands first." A reply that sings praises to my little OCD heart. Yes, please, go ahead and wash your hands before you touch my food. Thank you.
A blondie wrangling portafilters, panini grills, and conversation topics stands behind the counter at this lofty little espresso stop. Espresso Elegance is totally out of the way unless one works or lives in the area. This is not a spot good for studying, meeting up with friends, etc. This is a great spot for an afternoon pick me up, a coffee break, or a coffee walk by. A comfy if not haphazard seating area is situated askew between the windows and the bar should one want to stay a while. I think of this place more as an espresso cart with a home indoors. The main drive of this establishment is the catering though and not coffee. I can't comment on that aspect of the business however, utilizing the other version of the term, Espresso Elegance does cater to the local area business crowd; hours are brief, Monday-Friday from 8-4.
I ordered a French Kiss (espresso, milk, white chocolate, hazelnut and caramel) and it actually had flavor. If I didn't want espresso based specialty drinks to have flavor I wouldn't have order mochas or a latte with syrup. With so many espresso bars being totally devoid of any mixology skills it is always a relief to meet a place that does. I've found that milk is poured with a heavy hand and shots are horribly weak at the majority of espresso bars. Pffft! Anyway, Espresso Elegance gets stars for being able to pull a decent shot and flavor the bevvie accordingly. This coffee spot also wins my heart for staffing such a friendly, unpretentious barista. This place totally reminds me of early espresso carts where baristas spoke to their customers rather than talked down to them, coffee had flavor, and prices didn't require one to budget in a coffee now and again. Did I mention happy hour??? The last two hours of Espresso Elegance being open any drink is $2. Oh and trivia questions too! Word.

I used Espresso Elegance to cater at my wedding this past March. They did a wonderful job! They offered a wide range of services, were prompt about arrival, maintained a high level of professionalism and were very efficient in their service. My guests also remarked about how great the espresso service was. I know a lot of people use this company for business meetings and events, but I would highly recommend them for wedding service as they are highly dependable and very reasonably priced and are a wonderful and unique feature for any reception!

We had an event today and at the last moment our espresso company could not come cater the event! Espresso Elegance was able to come and cater the event with only 2 hours notice AND provide the special espresso menu I had originally requested of the other company. A+ service, I assume they will be the espresso catering company I will always use in the future.

i cant say much for the catering service, but i can remark on the little in-house cafe that they offer. there is nothing spectacular about the coffee itself (i am admittedly not a coffee afficionado or purist however) but this place does offer other amenities. its convientiently located across from the p-i building where i work and offers a really great "happy hour" special. any coffee drink, any size for 2 dollars between 2pm and 4pm. this is a limited window but a perfect time for a whole milk chai respite from the midday blues. they also offer smaller, lighter lunch fare. good sandwiches made on the hot plate before you and pre-prepared salads that are nothing to write home about. a final note, the baristas that work at this place are very cute if that is the sort of thing matters to you (it sure doesnt hurt!) and are very friendly and conversational.
