We went here with a group of 15 or so people and it was semi-disastrous. Waiter messed up three drink orders and two entrees. Service was slow even though the place wasn't busy. Food was generic barfood at outrageous prices. Dining room was very dark and dismal. All in all not a very pleasant experience, although we got free mini-coolers out of our visit.

Went to ESPN Zone the other day for the first time with the GF. I was excited because I had always wanted to check it out to kill my curiosity, and that I did.

The food is standard bar fare. I decided to get a burger and I have to say it was really bad. The waitress didn't bother asking how I would like my burger, and when it was served, the tomato slice was about 3/4 of an inch thick and the bottom bun was soggy. Probably the worst burger I had eaten in a long while, and the fries were very sub par.

The arcade is pretty cool and I would think it would be a good place to take your kids to watch a game and have them go crazy playing upstairs in the games area. All the games are sports related so you've got your standard Daytona USA along with Air Hockey and whatnot.

All in all I would consider the arcade the only reason ESPN Zone didn't get 1 star. I didn't check out the main area to watch a game so I can't really comment on that. But if you want to grab a decent, even mediocre, burger this is not the place to go. May be fun to watch a game, but I probably won't be stopping by one of these anytime soon.

Saved my 50th review for this place!

This ESPNzone is located at the Power Plant by the Inner Harbor which shares the space with a Barnes and Noble. So my girlfriend and I decided to split up and I watched Super Bowl 41.5 (Patriots/Colts) here while she studied at B&N. Nice.

The ginormous TV is definitely the draw. This thing has got to be like 12 feet wide. Either way, there was not a bad view in the house. Although it took a while to sit, but I sniped a booth and shared it with some out of towners.

Because this is ESPNzone, mostly out of towners make up the clientele here. This was nice, especially after I made my rounds around the Baltimore bar scene where the locals aren't really friendly to strangers or visitors like myself.

Around the ridonkulous big screen were a bunch of smaller tv screens that were showing other sports like basketball, NASCAR and some NHL games. A nice glance-over during commercials.

The drinks are about what you'd expect from any other sports bar. Five dollar domestic bottles, 7 dollar jumbo drafts. Also what's nice is a seperate smoking area with glass doors.

If you walk around there a number of small private rooms (which were reserved ahead of time).

Need to hit the head? You won't miss a minute of the action. TV screens above the urinals! This gave me an idea of what my home would look like someday. Also on the way to the bathrooms are lots of interesting sports memorabilia, including one of Gordie Howe's game sticks. Sweeeeet.

Say what you will about this place, I still like ESPNZone for watching big sporting events.

That monstrous TV is ridiculous. I like the way they have it set up, because you can be sitting at the bar and still see the thing (some of the other ESPNZones aren't set up that way).

Yeah, the food sucks and the alcohol is overpriced, but you knew that already. The games are expensive as well, but fun.

This isn't a place I'd go to often, but it serves its purpose.

It's just like other ESPN Zones....you have a plethora of TVs, videogames, sports, and a restaurant to boot. Great place to go with friends, but I wouldn't go every weekend if it was up to me. It's nice to here once in a while, but especially when there's a major sporting event going on.

Don't be a hater woman like Dorris who's man is probably spending his time there and not with her, check out the ESPN Zone.
Baltimore is a great sports town and deserves an ESPN Zone.  With a city displaying flags of the Orioles on almost every street lamp, come one.  Yes, ESPN Zone is commercial, so what.  ESPN Zone is awesome.  I like the food, but then again, I was raised on McD's.  The arcade is fun for any guy in his 20's.  Long bar with lots of beer choices and TV's galore to watch all the great games.
This location is set on a little pier with Hard Rock next door.  I love it.  I'd give it 4 stars, but after the hit it got from the ladies reviewing it, I had to give it one more outta love.

Overpriced and not as cool/modern as other ESPN Zones...but they did stay open till 1AM for me when I was trying to watch a hockey game - so they get points for service.

ESPNzone embodies everything I hate about Baltimore. . . disease-ridden with townies and inlanders feigning metropolitan, aggressive sportsfans, garbage, estrangement of its natives through gentrification, Baltimore is most proud of its Orioles, rising real estate near the piers, stadium, and the nastiness of the Fells Point bar scene.

ESPNzone boasts numerous projection and flat screens broadcasting every mainstream, high-budget sportsgame, a subpar bar menu, many beers on tap to spill while you fist the air after a touchdown, and a top level arcade for the youngsters. Not to mention the intrusive ground-level merchandise store that you confront before even finding the hostess. A huge, insulting, megaplex of family-time substituted for entertainment gone a step too far. If Las Vegas and Baltimore had a corporate lovechild, it would be ESPNzone . . . .

i guess the last reviewer doesn't like dive/sports bars or she just hates blue collar cities like baltimore.

a more realistic review:
like all espn zones, the big screen tvs area can only have so many people. i'd assume they have a bigger area for that especially if you're showing every single game that's going on at the same time. food is so-so, nothing fancy, the arcade is fun if you're into sports games.

it's fun to go there once a while but it's definitely not something you'll miss.
