If you've never eaten at a Brazilian steakhouse before, make Espetus your first!  If you're a carnivore like me, this place is essentially heaven on earth.  Numerous waiters walk around with a wide variety of succulent, tender and juicy cuts of everything from lamb chops, filet migeon, to chicken hearts (yeah that's right, chicken hearts).  It's all you can eat, and I have to tell you, I find it very difficult to say no to all the varities of meat they constantly tempt you with.  Needless to say, you will leave this place very full, and very satisfied.

As you might expect, this place is pricey ($50 a head), but make no mistake, it is beyond worth it.  Carnivores, there is a heaven on earth, and its on the corner of Haight and Gough!  Treat yourself, check it out!

ex girlfriend took me here on our anniversary. She knows i heart red meat and she matched this restaurant to my taste perfectly. It is a very unique experience and the food is close to exceptional. The garlic sirloin and bacon wrapped chicken were among my favorites. The salad bar is interesting.
the men that walk around with the meat on skewers could be a bit nicer. Location is dodgy as well. I lived on powell and bush so walking through the loin wasn't that big of a deal. But i felt that i had to keep my ex closer than usual when walking from the cab to the doorstep.

I came to Espetus after a long day at the SF Zoo. My friend and I decided that there was no better way to work up our appetites for a brazilian meal than to stare at live flesh. All day at the zoo we said, "Mmmmm. Imagine how that one is gonna taste." Yea pretty sick and twisted.

Espetus did not disappoint and since then I have gone back with other friends multiple times. My friends are foodies and when we go to Espetus their eyes light up and we go plate for plate. We encourage each other too. "Don't stop! You still have room! Dooooo it."

Espetus is pretty classy. Both rooms are spacious although it is nice to sit in the back near the salad bar. You'll also get first dibs on the meat since it is closer to the kitchen. The bananas are jammin and the cheese bread is dope. I remember there was one piece of cheese bread left and my friend being considerate said to our other friend, "I'll half it with you." Another friend jumped in very strongly, "NO! You don't want to share! It's that good!" We had a good laugh and ordered another plate of it.

Aside from the meats, my favorites are the grilled pineapple and garlic shrimp. I could eat plates and plates of that stuff. Oh yea and anything wrapped in bacon. Also, a nice tip is to put some guacamole on your meat.

But yea, if you don't order dessert here just get an extra serving of grilled pineapple. It's sweet, caramelized, and juicy. Refreshing after all that carnage in your mouth!

OK you meat lovers out there, Espetus Churrascaria is the joint for ya.  meat galore!  From homemade sausages to sirloin.  I even had chicken heart (2 to be exact).  All the meats are carried out on giant skewers and carved table-side.  There is a little wheel on the table that you turn to request for the meat to keep coming or to stop.  After dinner, we topped it off with some Tiramisu.  =)

Thanks Tiri-miss-u

Still as good as ever, but the price is now $49, hence the 1 star deduction.  You better fast before coming here!  Lamb chops, beef ribs, chicken hearts, shrimp, garlic sirlion are my favorites.

I also tried the fejoida, a black bean stew with sausage and cuts of pork, which was pretty tasty.  Anthony Bourdain says it's one of his favorite dishes, so I had to try it.  It's one of the items in the plentiful "salad" bar.

Brazil (Rio, to be exact) is one of the best vacation spots that I have been to - and that has to do with the friendly people, beautiful scenery and of course - 'da food.  So I was really hoping for an out of body experience when I went to Espetus Churrascaria last night.  In all honesty, I was a bit disappointed that it did not live up to my expectations.

1.  The salad bar area lacked "OOMPH".  Plain lettuce with nothing to put on top of it.  Two different types of rice, one white which was typical white rice, and the other was a greenish rice with hard, uncooked broccoli.  The Mango was good, and I loaded up on this as it is one of my favorite fruits.  Salsa was good but lacked originality.  Avocado was good to mix with the salsa and add to your meat.

2.  The Meat.  You know, it was okay.  The shrimp was good but could have had a bit more spice to it.  The pork had fat on it, and I'm so not a fan of fatty pork.  Some of the beef was nicely tenderized, and some very tough that I scooted on to the edge of my plate to take up space.  The sausages, although very tasty - we also very dry.

3.  Drinks - The white wine sangria was WAY too sweet.  The Caipirinha (plain) was very good, and I'm a huge fan of this authentic Brazilian drink.  I'm not sure what brand of cachaça they used, but it was good.  They also offered a passion fruit one that was different and tasty.

4.  We were a party of 10+, and the service was pretty good.  Nothing over the top excellent, but nothing negative to say either.  It was fairly consistent.

5.  We were there for a friend's birthday party, and they brought out a cake we had ordered from another establishment and delivered.  It was nice that they did this for us with a smile.

So all in all, I didn't leave reeling in delight.  I think at $49.00 per person just for the food, I will go to other smaller Brazilian restaurants in SF.

This place is fabulous for all occasions. Who ever thought eating buffet style could be so elegant. Yes it pricey but it is all you can eat. Very nice atmosphere, has alot of creditability. The sides are kindof bland but the meat is sensational as well as the shrimp. My only warning is that you throughly enjoy your food and not try to pile a mile high because your food will become room temperature and jerk up and become stiff, chewy, dry and not good eats. I would definetly return when im in the city.

It may seem foolish to add to the 600+ reviews for Espetus, so I'm going to throw in a couple things I haven't seen in other reviews:

If you can't stomach all that meat for whatever strange reason, it is possible to purchase just the salad/sides bar for around $30. There's a TON of food there, including a couple meat dishes. This is no ordinarily salad bar, as others have mentioned it's huge. Way more than a salad bar.

That said, here's the rub: if you do the salad bar, don't even THINK about tasting ANYTHING that comes off a skewer. My poor SIL, the vegetarian, got the salad bar and when my brother said, "Oh my God! You have to try a bite of the grilled pineapple..." and she said, "Okay", Her bill went from the $30 salad bar tab to the $45.00 meat-eaters tab.

This is by no means a complaint, just a heads up. It is possible to be a veg at Espetus, but that means don't even look at the skeweres, cross-eyed or any other way, as you will pay for it.

The other reivewers are all right. This is a meat eaters heaven. I can't wait for another festive occassion to warrant another evening of savage carnivorous delight.

I love meat. But i didn't love Espetus. It was OK.

Was here last night with 5 Colombian friends (all boys), needless to say they love carne too. We were all  satiated but for $90 p/person we were not satisfied. I understand the concept and have been to other Churracarias before but I won't be coming back to this one anytime soon, still many other places to discover.

By the time we had dinner, around 9:30p, you could tell that some of the cuts were overcooked, i like my steak medium, thank you very mucho. The PICAHNA (noble part of the sirloin) was excellent though as was FLANK steak and the CHICKEN. The salad bar was pretty varied most was fresh, do stay away from the hearts of palm.

My friends had ordered sangria before I got there, it was too sweet for my taste buds and definitely not the best to accompany the fare. A bottle of wine would be ideal. (that was our mistake, i know)

For dessert the "Tres Leches" was good, like the one back home...

Overall, the meat was ok, not great, the service was amicable but it felt rushed (closing time).

All in all, this restaurant does not make my SF recommendations list.

If you love MEAT, this is the place to go.
Servers bring all sorts of meat: chicken, beef, lamb, ribs, pork...you name it they serve it to your table. Besides meat they also have a salad/side buffet where you can also get you necessary veggie/ carb for the day.
Always a pack house and prices are on relatively high since it is a brazilian steakhouse.  They have a similar type of restaurant in san bruno, but the atmostphere in SOMA is alot better.

Outstanding.  It's actually a real deal for what you get.  I just went the other day and tried 15 different meats!! It was something like 45 bucks a pop and definitely worth every penny.  They also have an awesome wine collection that you shouldn't miss.  They stick a side of beef on a sword (ok, maybe not that much) and come to your table where they slice pieces off until your happy.  They then keep coming around until you say stop.  There is a little wheel on your table that your turn to green if you want them to keep coming.  If you want them to stop, you turn it to red.  They also have a cool salad bar in the back./  Try it.  You won't be disappointed.  The only problem I had was with a few overcooked pieces of meat.

I took some out-of-town family members to Espetus for a pre-grad dinner, and they were FLOORED!  It was definitely a dining experience, and I recommend this place for anyone who has out-of-towners visiting for a weekend (just make sure that no one is a vegetarian first!).  My brother still raves about it til this day!  It was also my first time @ Espetus, and definitely not my last.

**Note:  Many male friends have said that this would be one of the top restaurants for their girlfriends to take them on a date to.  Espetus= major brownie points for the ladies.**

4 stars for the outstanding service/food/ambiance.  I would have given this place 1 more star if it wasn't for the meat paralysis/high that made it impossible to do anything else for the rest of the night.

If your going to this restaurant, you are definitely in for an experience.  Just be prepared to be in a temporary paralysis for the rest of the day.

MEAAAAAAT.
on SWORDS.
served by guys in sexy PAAAANTS!

I ate like a savage.

Hubby and I conquered the salad bar. Twice.

Then we continued to out-eat the couple sitting next to us. Tri-fold.

Then we eavesdropped on the couple on the other side of us. Talking about their first gay sexual experiences. I wanted to hear more but they spoke softly. They were older but still sexy... but I felt everyone in the room had an alluring sex appeal. Maybe it's because it's the city.

I drank my sangria. But I wished they used a different wine... it's one of those boxed brands. Not that I'm hating on boxed wine, I love slapping the bag and all, but not drinking it as the wine in sangria!

The service was great. I have reason to believe that there was a guy just chillin at the bar, serving as a spy for the front tables. He wasn't doing anything, and occasionally exchanged words with some of the employees. The bussers were ON it! Water filled quickly, plates whisked away, plates dispensed because the table next to us asked for the bill before they saw the pineapple and decided they wanted some, etc. My one vice was seeing the hostess texting and making a couple of phone calls on her cell while AT the hostess booth. She wasn't even hiding!

We even ordered dessert cuz that's what they have you do if you're celebrating a bday... then they put a candle in it and sing to you... then you still pay for it but that dulce de leche ice cream was SO GOOD! I got a craving later in the week, so I bought a gallon of dulce de leche ice cream from Dryers or something. Can't compare. =[

Can't wait to see you again, Espetus!

Friends I'd like you to meet Meat & become quite familiar with him because at Espetus, Meat is your best friend, your lover, and your enemy.

You must be prepared to battle being swamped by endless meat!  Because if you are a carnivorous monster, heaven definitely must be Espetus.

Nothing can beat paying a set price ($45 per person for dinner) for an all you can eat meat buffet (a variety of meats including steaks, chicken, and pork). Don't forget to place the sign on the table to indicate to the waiters green for go, red for stop (but hey who wants to stop, right?)!

First off, travel over to the yummy salad bar to grab some salad & sides. Munch on the included plate of fried banana, cheese bread, and polenta. Unfortunately once you sit down, you realize there's no time to waste on salad & bread. Several server's with swords of meat come within minutes slicing you portions of flank, filet mignon, sirloin, chicken, sausage, AND chicken heart!? WOW...meat, meat, and MORE meat!

I ate like a monster and I probably could've continued to overstuff myself for the next several hours to give myself a massive heart attack, but I had to take control of myself because who wants to die at the age of 24? Obnoxiously full, I flipped the sign to red while i oogled at the ribs passing by.

The outcome?
Excellent dining experience, with excellent service. The waiters were SO pleasant and my meat extravaganza was a success! Despite my full self, I HAD to have dessert and coffee (which was quite yummy too!).

I think I have officially discovered an inner meat monster that lives deep down inside me....

One of my Brazilian buddies has been telling me about this place for a long time. He was right this place; it's AMAZING!!!! My friends took my here for my birthday not too long ago. What better way to spend quality time with friends than at a restaurant were Gaucho Pirates walk around serving meat on swords. For $45, you can enjoy the all you can eat a la carte variations of; sirloin, shrimp, pork, chicken, chicken hearts, sausage, and ribs. You will literally eat your weight in meat before walking out. So make sure you wear looser clothing before you go.

Go Hungry... This is a rather expensive meal if your going to go once a week.  If its a special occasion or once in awhile thing I don't mind spending the money.
The selection of meats is very nice, the ability to stop & start the meat service is very nice.  The salad bar selection is the best I've seen for Brazilian BBQ's so far.  LOVE the little cheesy biscuits.

Go here if your a meat fan!!!

I'm giving it 4 stars and I don't eat meat!  I stopped eating meat products in February, but I am still a huge lover of meat from afar.  I would recommend this place to all my carnivore friends and non-friends!

About 15 of us came here for a friend's birthday dinner.   We got to the restaurant and tried out the bar first.  The bartender was really sweet when we asked what types of beers they had.  He explained each type, made suggestions, and followed up with us to see if we liked our choices.

The service at the table was comparable.  The meat servers came by every minute or so to offer everyone different meat choices... and there were A LOT of meat choices.  Some of them were a little rude, but if I had to wear those funny outfits all night... I guess I'd be a little testy, too.  One of them snapped at me for having my hand underneath his knife.  HE was the one who put the meat in front of and his knife above my hand that was already resting there.  Also, I had to tell one of the servers that I don't eat meat like 5 times during the meal.  Towards the end of the dinner, I also got the vibe that they were rushing us out to seat the next group.

I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the random bad customer service encounters (honestly, they were pretty on top of their game other than those few episodes) and the fact that I ordered ONLY the salad bar and it was $40.. while the salad bar + meat option was only $5 more.  I have to admit the salad bar was pretty weak, too.  Rip-off, but it's okay... Veggies like myself should stay away from places like this anyways.  Carnivores... help yourselves! =)

The most expensive meal of my life! Only because we paid for our friend's dinner so it came up to $80 something but other then that, it's about $60 after tip/tax. Pretty decent for a smorgasbord (literally) of meat served on a huge metal skewer by some awesome people.

We tried all 14 different cuts that night. I think there were 14 at least. Anyway, I was disappointed w/ their Filet Mignon. It was DRY! What the efff........!!

TASTY/GOOD CUTS:
- Picanha (sirloin)
- Some beef cooked in red wine
- Beef ribs (SO TASTY but SO fatty)
- LAMB (my fave. I must have ate 5 or 6 of them)
- Chicken Wings
- Chicken Hearts
- Shrimp
- Sausages

NOT SO TASTY/DRY CUTS:
- Filet Mignon (hangs head in shame)
- Some beef w/ garlic
- Top Sirloin
- Porkloin
- Chicken wrapped in bacon

Sangria was alright. Kinda watered down.
The appetizers were pretty good. Fried bananas, cheese toast and something else I forget what it was. Fried cornbread maybe? Shrug...

But best of all...THE GRILLED PINEAPPLE. YUM.

I think I would try this place one more time just because I think they had an off night aka the night I went. About 60% of their meats were good, the other 40% weren't. Quite puzzling since I've heard that all the meat at Espestus are tasty! Shrug...

Another Brazilian in love (and poverty).  This is a meat eater's restaurant - those who  eat seafood and white meats can get by with the salad bar, prawns, and chicken but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to those people.  This is for people who want perfectly cooked bits of many farm animals piled high on their plates.  It is, as one horrified onlooker advised me, a "barnyard reunion."

I generally skip the salad bar - this is not a place to go for veggies, but you will want some the next day!

As for the drinks - I love their sangrias.  Enjoy!

Went here a few years ago and it was pretty bad.  Went last night after reading Yelp reviews and the improvement is dramatic.

It isn't Platoforma in NYC, but it is really good. You will always be tainted if you have actually eaten in Brasil, http://www.porcao.com....
in Rio is pretty incredible.

Service was attentive and good. Not cheap but worth a visit. We would go again for sure.

I loved this place!

Came here after a long day of shopping...and I was starving! You can eat so much here since it is all you can eat. This is not a veggie lover's paradise by any means. The meat was all really good and tender. THe salad bar had some great options too. Dessert was delicious. We got a passionfruit mouse...OMG!

If you are a meat eater and have a huge appetite for it, this is truly the place for you. I have to say, I was put in my place when I came here. I didn't know what to expect when I entered the doors. I was seated and escorted to the buffet, but to find no meat? WTF? Then, the waitress explained the table card concept. Flip it to green for more meat, red to take a breather. I thought okay, green all the way. Bring it!

Now the fun begins. Cook by cook, they just keep coming with the most beautiful selections of meats. Were talkin' sirloin with sea salt and garlic, juicy pork sausages, BBQ shrimp, lamb chops, and even BBQ pineapple.

The food was truly amazing and tasty. The service was excellent and  the atmosphere was casual and non-intimidating. I came out of here with a food baby that kept me away from the kitchen for a whole day. It was worth every penny of it. Only thing I would do different next time, wear elastic pants.

Espetus, how do I love thee? Let me count thy ways!

ALL YOU CAN EAT MEAT

Excellent service, water was always filled, dirty plates were cleared away quickly, friendly host/waiter/carvers

Private bathrooms with TV's (c'mon, you know why!)

Salad bar is awesome, but I don't recommend filling up on salad when there's all you can eat MEAT

Roomy restaurant, nice decor, and clean

Reasonable prices

Meat, meat, meat, meat, meat...

If you don't love meat, especially red meat, you have no business being here. Okay, I'm being harsh, you can go to Espetus...if you bring me with you.

This place is amazing. The filet mignon was some of the best I have ever had. I opted out on the chicken hearts, but everything else was top notch.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area. We took a 3 day vacation to San Francisco so naturally I had to Yelp some good food. I stumbled upon Espetus Churrascaria and the reviews were great. We called in some reservations and we were in within 10 minutes.

Its is a rather small place with small walkways, but so is everything in San Francisco. The price is high, but well worth it. With 2 dinners, 2 desserts, 2 glasses of wine, a soda, tax, and tip it came out to $165.00. It was well worth every penny.

I hope you guys will go and enjoy it as much as we did.

I'm a big fan of variety, and for this reason I gravitate towards combo appetizers, sushi, tapas, prix fixes, and anything else that gives you a wide range of flavors.  Espetus does an amazing job of giving you every type of meat you could possibly fathom, even down to the heart of a chicken.  (Don't let this scare you, most meats are "mainstream," and done incredibly well).

But despite the preponderance of "Meat, Meat, Meat" reviews, I wanted to highlight the sides.  Espetus maintains an entire lineup of great sides that complement the restaurant's meats incredibly well.  I went there a while ago and can't pinpoint the specifics, but I remember going back several times and finding new sensations each time.

Come hungry, and ready for a hoppin' scene.  This isn't your quiet date venue (although I've only been once, on a Thursday, and there may be quieter nights); but it's a great place for a group.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! Meat on a stick has never been so good. There should be one on every corner, in every neighborhood of San Francisco.  They took a simple idea and perfected it for the masses.

The wait staff was very friendly, attentive and worked at supersonic speed. I loved table side carving and the variation of meats that were available. I left this place feeling really satisfied.

Its great here, come take a date, wait. . . forget that .. . take someone you are comfortable with and PIG OUT!

I'm glad I went with 10 close friends, cuz I was pigging out like a mo fo.

I LOVEEEEEE ME MEAT! Come here hungry, I like their salad bar with my meat. Paid around $60, $45 for the buffet and for tax and drinks. Not too shabby for tow hours of flavor.

Planning to come back here again, I gotta spoil myself once a month and this is the place to be.

I never had hot/ warm pineapple that tasted that sweet. I don't like sweets much, but I can't resist it. try everything, your tummy will love you for it.

I have to admit something, when I see sexy girls eating a buffet and not caring about their weight, I'm in love with them. THATS SEXY AS HELL!

I am Brazilian and I have eaten churrascaria in Brazil.  I was taken here for my birthday and I was not surprised, by the quality and authenticity of the skillfully, perfectly bbq-d meat; dripping, glistening, practically spitting at you on the spike!  Great service, PLENTY of food on the side.  The salad bar was fresh and full of variety and color.  Yes, it's pricey, but worth every penny....especially if you don't have to pay for it!

Meat, Meat, Meat, Meat, Meat, salad/fish buffet, Meat, Meat, Meat...

This is a meat lovers paradise.  Even more so if the particular meat lover is indecisive or not particular about "their" cut of meat.  Personally, I love most meat, but when I'm out I really want either a filet or a ribeye and having a variety of choices and ulimited plate size is not better, for me, than having one really great cut of beef of the right size.

The constant tableside service and ever-rotating kinds of meat are fun and interesting and worthy of an experience, but if you really want a great piece of meat and real attention to your meal I would think it obvious that a buffet is not your best option.

I had fun and I would probably go back, but my favorite steaks and best times are still at Harris'.

Meeeeaaaat.  Look at all this meeeaaat.   All you can eat meat.  This is a meat lover's heaven.  A good variety of tasty tasty murder.  Most of the sirloins and steaks were rare-medium rare, so if you like your nommy meat well done, you may have to go with the pork, lamb or ribs.  Service was excellent.  I'm coming back here asap.

When I am feeling extra hungry and want to indulge in my natural carnivorous instinct, Espetus is at the top of my list to squelch that craving.  This churrascaria is by far the best one that I've been to so far.  They serve a number of different savory meats, along with barbequed shrimp and pineapple, cooked in a variety of ways and served on a large skewer/sword and carved in front of you by very friendly gauchos that frequently stop by your table until you say "no, obrigado."

I have such a difficult time stopping myself from overeating whenever I come here, partly because the meat is so good and partly because I want to get my money's worth (my Asian side).  The first time I ate here I was so stuffed that I literally was not hungry and did not eat for the next day and a half.  It was an uncomfortable feeling, to say the least, but when they kept coming by with more and more meat I couldn't help but say "sim, por favor."

MEAT HEAVEN!!!!

Espetus was a great dining experience. But I have to admit Espetus is one of those restaurants where you can splurge and indulge at least once a year. I am going to spare all the major details about my dinner but I had a great time with my friends. Espetus made my birthday dinner very special especially when the waiters came over and sang happy birthday (embarrassing but sweet from my friends).

Memorable eats and events:
- cheese balls = addicting!
- great variety of meats
- the salad bar had a lot of variety but over stuffed yourself from the bar - love the lamb
- love the chicken wrapped bacon
- .must eat -- the rib from the meat cart!!
- the grilled pineapple was soo addicting!
- singles bathroom (don't know why there is a TV in the bathroom) -
- GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

-1 star because some of the steak was a little dry.

Thank you Espetus!

last night was my second time at this meat emporium. I ate heaping mounds of sirloin, beef ribs, flank steak, filet mignon, chicken hearts, lamb chops, pork loin, sausages, chicken legs...

i'm looking forward to having my first cup of coffee this morning.

Absolute gluttony! Quality meat all bursting with their own unique roasted flavors. Even if they suggest you come hungry you will seriously end up re-thinking what you got yourself into with the endless amount of food. What's worse is that you also won't be able to get enough of their salad bar with yummy paella, salads, etc. The cheese bread and polenta they serve at the table was also delicious.

Oh and did I mention this place serves white sangria? MMMMMmmmm.

Okay so we all got carried away and even my male companions had nothing on the waiters with their never ending supply of protein. Worth the money if you can handle alot of meat or if you appreciate deliciously cooked food. If you have a small stomach, eat slowly and with small bites.

But under no circumstances come in a tight dress and have plans to go out dancing after dinner.

Uh oh, walking into the place, it looks a bit fancy for my attire, but no worries, I felt immediately at home by the time I was seated by the host and the hostess. Good hospitality, 'check.'

Reading the yelp reviews here, I tried to avoid stuffing myself with the variety of salads, soups and possible entre dishes, but this is where the problem began.  Everything smelled and looked so good that I just couldn't help myself but pile on whatever I've savored at. It's actually kind of funny as I told my friends around me "don't fill on this stuff," I ended up with most food on the plate, which by the way tasted good.

As we started our first serving, the servers with the meat on their swords started to walk by and offered whatever they had. Starting off with a small piece of sirloin on his sword, I scoffed at its proportion and accepted his offer as I figured that this would be an easy night of dining.  We were all pleased with the first piece of meat and before we could finish, we were approached by another server. This time it was short ribs on a platter with wheels. Impressive. Again, it tasted very tender as the meat melted in our mouths.

Then came the realization of the flip card thing that tells the servers to halt their offerings while we process the mounds of meat that piled in a matter of minutes.
Anyway, rather than bore you with food details (it's mostly the same as other reviewers), I'll just say that we were all truly defeated at the end... we probably didn't even make a dent into their meat reserves.

All in all, the simplest way for me to describe the night is: what looked like an evening of light buffet of 'tender and succulent' meats turned out to be a night that felt like we've just ate piles of 'tender and succulent' meats out of a trough.

I'm going to come back here next time after starving myself for a couple days, that way I'll be able to try everything else there.

After eating at Fogo plenty of times and trying some great churrascarias in Brazil I finally tried Espetus for fathers day yesterday.

Let's just put it out there that neither Fogo nor Espetus can come close ot the real deal (mostly due to meat) but they each come close enough.  Fogo has a better salad bar but the meat at Espetus was better yesterday.  The accoutrements were about the same.

Here is what came by yesterday: filet mignon, jumbo shrimp, top sirloin, lamb shank, lamb chops, linguica, picanha (Braz style sirloin cut), beef ribs, chicken hearts, chicken legs, pork shank (didn't try it), chicken wrapped in bacon (didn't try it), skirt/flank steak.

Fogo doesn't serve shrimp or flank and it was very nice to have them.

Service was excellent; friendly yet still very attentive.  At Fogo it's usually just attentive...

I give Espetus a big thumbs up.  $45 a pop, don't order the sangria, go easy on the salad.

I went here based upon all the reviews that it received...

Although the service was okay, I found that quality and the flavors just to be okay. Because this place is not cheap, I thought it would of been really good.

I agree with other yelper comments about the salad bar. It wasn't that good. I think in a place like this, because some people do not eat meat, you have to have a good salad bar to keep them satisfied.

Will I go here again? Nope. There are just too many other places that  I want to try.
