I cheated on my hairdresser of 3 years today. I felt horrible but I hadn't been happy for the past year with the cuts and color.

I tried out Escape Salon as I'd heard nothing but great things. NO WONDER!!! They are wonderfullllll! Betty had the pleasure of working on my hair today. lol  When I told her, "I'm pretty anal about my hair, so I'm sorry if I seem a little nervous..." She said, "Oh... I understand."

I LOVE the color!! And she brought my hair back to it's normal shape and cute 'spikey' look!! :) For the past year I've been wondering, "What happened to my hair?"

BETTY BROUGHT LOREN'S GROOVE BACK. haha!!! :) Everyone there is very friendly and I already made an appointment for a trim in 3 weeks! I paid exactly what I expected to at a high end salon, where I walk out of there and think, "I love my hair!!"

I feel bad that I have cheated on my original hairdresser, but it was time... =/

Haircut: $30
Color: $100
To walk out of the salon with a big smile on my face: PRICELESS!!!

KUDOS TO BETTY AT ESCAPE SALON!!!

Nice salon,  clean atmosphere.
I was a walk-in and got my haircut by B _ _ _ _.
Im not satisfied with the cut at all, and ever since Ive been only wearing my hair in a pony tail.
I told her I was growing my hair out and just wanted a trim and some new layers. She cut off more than three inches and my top layers arent blending in well with my bottem layers at all so it looks like two haircuts in one aka a mushroom head.
Not happy with my cut and it was overpriced $50 plus tip. The hairstylist was very friendly but I would not trust her with my hair again. :(

Escape is home to Talley and I've been seeing Talley for years. YEARS. At least 8 years or something ridiculous like that, which is pretty crazy considering I've lived up and down this state yet still make it a point to stop by when I'm in Sacramento. Anyways, Talley's a great colorist/stylist at Escape Salon. She's the only person I'll get highlights from (since she knows how highlight phobic I am) but I'm mostly in for cuts. She's better than any $50 cut I've gotten in LA. She really listens to what you want and pays attention to what your hair does. Like my hair has a thick section and it likes to flip left, etc. She'll protest every time you tip though, so show your gratefulness at the front desk; they have discrete and convenient tip envelopes there.

The salon itself is nice and new. And Starbucks is right across the way so there you go.

Although I only went in for an eyebrow waxing, I was less then pleased. The waxing was ok. My brows turned out a little on the thin and short side ( I just went in there for a "clean up). What really was frustrating was the pressure I felt to buy products & make appointments for facials, eyelash extensions, etc... I had let her know that I was out of work at the moment, but the pressuring did not end. "Pressured" is never a good feeling to have when you walk out of anywhere.

The best manicure/pedicure I have ever had! Helen is awesome. It takes a while, but it its well worth your wait. I haven't had my hair cut here, but waxing was also well done. All the girls are fun, chatty, and friendly.

I went to Escape for the first time two weeks ago based on the reviews here.  I was disappointed.  Betty shampooed my hair, and then proceeded to leave me under the dryer for over half an hour while she finished someone else's hair.  All I needed was about two inches off my straight long-ish hair, and it took her less than 15 minutes.  I was charged $40!  I know a lot of people drop that much for a haircut without batting an eyelash, but I have NEVER paid that much for just a trim, and then a tip added on to that.  There are plenty of places in the area that can trim my hair just as well for $30.  I doubt I'll be going back here, which is a shame, because I liked Betty a lot.
