Fast and friendly service. I was on a gluten-free diet when I came here and I loved that they offered gluten-free bread for their sandwiches for no extra cost. The sandwich I had was delicious. I wish I actually lived in San Ramon so I could go here more!

Wasn't feeling too good and all I wanted was a bowl of soup and a sandwich (without having to make it myself). I've lived close to Erik's for years now and never been so this seemed like a good time. It's much bigger and more open inside than I thought it'd be; lots of seating and it's cute and clean. There's a good variety of sandwiches on the menu, and everything looks and tastes really fresh. It is kinda spendy though...be prepared. The sandwiches (I ordered 3, figured I'd make it dinner for the family)  were all good, but the real treasure here is the butternut squash soup...oh hellz yea! It is delicious!! It's so good that I overlooked the fact that 2 of the 3 sandwiches were made incorrectly. A bit frustrating, but I will absolutely be back for the butternut squash soup. Perhaps even today. :)

I've been going here since I was 10 so I am a bit nostalgic for the place and probably helped bump it to 4 stars.

Good variety of sandwiches with real deli meats and fresh produce.  Good variety of soft breads.  Vegetarian vegetable soup is hearty.

Overall I feel like between Mr. Pickle's, Rolls, and Erik's, Erik's is the place you will get the most veggies and healthy options.  Also the priciest of the three.

It can get packed for lunch on the weekdays being so close to bishop ranch.  More expensive then the competition.

Wow, worst pesto chicken sandwich ever. Chewy chicken, barely any pesto, and randomly it had beansprouts on it. Maybe other stuff is good but definitely do not order this sandwich!

Came here on a Saturday afternoon since I had a taste for a good sandwich. I didn't want to go to Quiznos or Subway, I wanted a real deli sandwich. They have a pretty good variety of options on the menu, I had a turkey, bacon and cheese sandwich on white bread, I wanted dutch crunch but they didn't have it. Hmm what deli doesn't have dutch crunch!

When I got the sandwich I was a little disappointed it wasn't toasted, and was super plain. The turkey was a little dry, but the bacon saved the sandwich. The deli has a real mom and pop feel to it, but I probably wouldn't go back if I was craving a really good sandwich, Quiznos here I come!

Oh yeah the place is hard to find too!

I've been to Erik's many times, but I am making today the day I write this review to express my love.  A crush on a sandwich, yep, it's possible.  What's it called? The REO Speedwagon -- turkey, ham, monterey jack, red onions, sprouts and that "secret goo" on sourdough bread.  Pair that with Mrs. Vicker's Hand Picked Jalapeno chips and it's GO time!

I'm not a fan of chili so when I say the chili is good, that's really saying something!  It's spicy (not hot) and really good with diced onion, shredded cheddar, and sour cream.

Erik's has free drink refills, but you know what? The only soda I'd consider drinking is Mr. Pibb; because that's all they have on the fountain.  Mr Pibb? It's really no substitute for Dr. Pepper.

Please get some Dr. Pepper! Or Diet Dr. Pepper, it's just as good! :-)

You would not believe the Turkey Sandwich I had here the other day.  I was wondering if my Grandma was hiding behind the counter making my sandwich personally because it tasted like love was in there.

The sandwich was actually called Pilgrim's Progress.  Turkey Breast and fresh Avocado on 9-Grain Wheat Bread with Erik's "Secret Goo®", Red Onions,Tomatoes and Sprouts.

Ordering was fast and my sandwich was on the counter ready to go before I could snap some photos of the interior.

The dining area is rather large even quite a few spots outside for eating.  I was in there during lunch hour and it didn't seem busy at all.

But I must say the sandwich really stole the show for me.  I took it back to my office and ate it at my desk.  I took some bites and then set it down, starring at it suspiciously.  This sandwich was to good to just be from some chain deli in San Ramon.

I was greatly impressed.  I have been reading the menu on their website over and over again trying to decide what sandwich to try next.  The Barnbuster sounds pretty good.

Every day is good for a sandwich day.

My search for a good sandwich in San Ramon continues.  I'm now visiting sandwich chain stores.  Erik's has signature sandwiches ($5.99 and up), regular deli sandwiches, meal-size salads, soups, deli salads, and sourdough soup bowls.  I was surprised by how "decorated" it was with an old stove, cow brands and items from the Old West.  The soda even comes in a glass jar used for preserving (which isn't large enough for me - though refills are free, it's still a hassle).

I had the Sea Dog ($6.49): tuna salad, cheddar cheese, Erik's secret goo, red onions, tomatoes, sprouts, and a heated French roll.  The ingredients were nice and fresh but the tuna salad had an unpleasant sour taste.  They seem to heat the roll only, so the cheese wasn't melted.  Also I didn't like the soft roll and the bread-to-filling ratio was way off.  Too much bread, not enough filling.  I think you can see this in my picture.  The sandwich was accompanied by a dill pickle spear and an orange slice.

Sign up for their e-mail club (http://www.eriksdelica...) and get a free sandwich (technically it's buy one, get one free).

Great place to get a sandwich and salad! I suggest the Erik's Berger (hot ham and cheese sandwich on an onion roll). I like that they have combos so you can get half sandwich and a pretty big side salad (which is super good, served with pasta salad and dressing on the side). Best of both worlds and just the right amount of food for lunch.

The one thing I don't like is that they put sprouts on EVERYTHING! If you are like me and hate sprouts, make sure to let them know when you order or you will be picking the funky little things off during your whole meal! Overall a wonderful lunch destination.

Very tasty food.  Even though it's generally a simple sandwich shop, it has a big sitting area.  There are plenty of full size tables and you can actually enjoy a meal with several people; which makes it a decent meal experience for the price of a Quizno's.

The sandwiches run about $8, but are incredibly tasty.  They have the usual array of side dishes: cole slaw, potato salad, etc.

If these sandwiches were a bit cheaper, I'd give this place a full 5 stars.

I came here on a Thursday night and was the only person in the place....it must be the hot spot for lunch in the daytime.

There was only one person ringing up orders and making the orders so it took longer then usual to get my sandwich made. That was okay....the sandwich tasted very good. At most places you see someone making a sandwich and another ringing up taking money.

The reason for the low rating was the restaurant is not as clean as others I have been to. I was a little concerned how dirty the area where you pay is. There is a corner there with a bench and then it leads to a hallway where the bathroom is. It was not clean at all....that kind of grossed me out a bit.

I loved this place when I lived in Santa Cruz and was excited to find it near my office in San Ramon!  The carrot cake is to die for!  I always get the sandwich/ salad combo cuz it's the best deal.  I've had the chili once and it's good but I'd rather stick with the sandwich and salad.
I love the little mason jars they give you for drinks too.  It's cute and the atmosphere is very homely.

I love Erik's Deli sooo much!! I could seriously eat it everyday!! Any of their sandwiches. But really their pasta is hands down too good.

    Favorites:
    Pilgrim's Progress
    Turkey Walnut Pesto
Del Monte Special (No meat, but still DELISH!)

I also love the feel of drinking from a cute Mason Jar!!

I've always like Erik's DeliCafe. They make a mean Pilgrim's Progress and Turkey Walnut Pesto sandwich.

I also like their clam chowder - It's always soooo good and chunky! Never too many potatoes, and lots of clams! I love that they don't skimp.

Very proud of this one for handling my order and getting it perfect without much of a wait. The people here are hard working and it's much appreciated.

-1 star for a slightly stale bread bowl. A little "tougher" than I had expected, but it's ok, not like we're in SF. For San Ramon, I'm not really complaining.

I am generally a fan of Erik's deli, but like any chain I have to judge them partially based on how they compare to their brethren. A normal Erik's is about 3.84 stars, this one is only 3. The hit is due to the lackluster staff. They weren't rude, but the sandwiches just aren't made with love. The meat is thin, the mayo/goop too plentiful and everything just slopped together. The soup tastes old and frequently they are understaffed so you will have to wait for another sandwich to be made before you can even order yours. All of the deserts and salads look pretty beat up and they were out of a few types of bread when I was most recently there. Overall this is probably the worst Erik's I have visited out of 5 or 6, but its not horrendous. Just... nothing special.

I recall this place to being way better back in the day, my sandwich, while fresh seemed kinda lacking, and I didn't find their clam chowder to be that tasty.

The extra star goes to the quick service turning your meal out as well as the cleanliness of the establishment.  Otherwise I wasn't super impressed.

Visited the wifey for lunch and felt like a sandwich. Figured our usual spot would be packed because of the rain so the wife suggested this place because its bigger.

Didnt seem like there was a very big selection, besides the several fancy shmancy sandwiches offered. Im easy...turkey and american cheese on whatever. What? No american cheese? Thats too bad. The wife got half a tuna sandwich and half salad. She also had a soda. Total came to $18.(something). Wow! That's not that bad, but I'm just comparing it to Rolls down the street where, in my opinion, where the sandwiches are MUCH BETTER and for the same price we could have had a bag of chips, an extra soda and a bowl of soup.

Food was decent, but theres so much better places right around.

The one in Dublin is much nicer looking on the inside and the staff is friendlier.
The sandwiches are always pretty tasty.  I tried their tomato soup tonight and it was good but a little too tangy for me, I prefer my tomato soup with a bit of sweetness.
I just moved to Danville so I will probably be frequenting this location more often.

Another chain, but one up on SubWay's and Togo's.   Can be crowded during lunch, parking can be a challenge.  Shares the parking lot out front with the rest of the center and the theater. Spaces are tight and narrow.  Sandwiches are good here, more of a small cozy deli feel than the other sandwich chains, with prices to match the feel.   There's salads and soup if you're not into having a sandwich.

I actually really like their food.  It's nice and fresh and has always tasted good.  I was just really disappointed with the service the last time I went.  Granted it was lunch and busy, still not a good reason to not give good service.  After I ordered my sandwich to go, I was asked was everything good on there.  I took it as an opportunity to ask for the goo on the side.  Then I was told that they just couldn't do that because it was too busy and they would never remember.  Who says that, especially after he asked me if everything was OK on it?  On top of that, when giving my change (all coin), he almost put it in their tip jar instead of my hand.  I'm not stingy on tips, but my money goes in my pocket when service sucks.  Really makes me think twice about going there again.

This is my coworkers and my go-to place for lunch. We go almost once a week now. The sandwiches are always great, and I love how the offer their "What's New" selections if you want to switch things up. I also have a Pot Belly Perks card, and when it wasn't working, I emailed corporate and got an answer within an hour. Good customer service in the deli and corporate. My only big problem with the place is it gets really stuffy inside the deli. Better ventilation might be in order. Otherwise, Erik's is awesome.

love to have lunch at this place.  the sandwiches are a good size, and they dont skimp out on the meat.  everything is fresh and they are heavy handed with the pickles!  (i love pickles)  the place is fairly priced.  for a sandwich it's less than $6..at least that's what i pay for a pilgrims progress.  of course its extra for a drink and chips or whatever tickles ur fancy.

ive spent many-a lunch hour in here, and will continue to as long as i work in this area.

With Logan Farms gone, and Kinder's a little too far to travel for lunch, Erik's has quickly become a lunchtime favorite of mine. I almost always get the REO Speedwagon, a delectable sandwich consisting of smoked ham, turkey breat and monterey jack cheese, as well as mayo, red onions, tomatoes and sprouts all on sourdough bread.

Erik's used to be a pretty good place for a sandwich, not sure what has happened in resent years. Maybe they are trying to save money and buy lower quality foods. The last couple of time I have been there I got a reo speed wagon. The ham was just awful. It had more fat than a tub of crisco, and lots of gristle. The produce on it was also dated and slimy and the bread was old and dry. I have given them numerous times to see if it was a fluke but at last it wasn't. I hate to say it but Safeway's deli is far better and about half the price. Go figure.

Erik's Deli is a great catering, and a quick lunch-on-the-go choice. Their sandwiches are better than most other places (especially subway or quizno). Prices are around the same as most other sandwich shops around. If you want to hold a small to large corporate lunch, Erik's Deli is the way to go!

I live right around the corner and I have given this so called deli a chance at least three times. This is a poor excuse for a deli. The sandwiches are small, the quality of the meat is nothing special, the bread seems like it comes right from Safeway and the customer service is poor, it seems their tables are always dirty too. Go to Panera Bakery Cafe, Togos or Safeway right around the block to get a better sandwich !!

Disgusting.  Tuna sandwhich had very little tuna, a rotten tomato and some wilted lettuce.  Then it was microwaved so it was "hot".  Bread was soggy.   I took a bite and left it on the table.  Go elsewhere.
