A mattress purchase is a big investment and it has to be right, especially if you have a bad back (like me) and are concerned about the environmental impact of mattresses (ditto). There is a lot of "greenwashing" going on in the mattress business, with places advertising ingredients as "organic" with no certification, and filling their mattresses with green tea and other "natural" ingredients. That's a lot of hooey.
Instead, Ergo Sleep Systems offers you excellent products with complete transparency about what goes into them and who will sleep best on them. Leonard and Nel are incredibly knowledgeable about mattresses, carry the best truly organic and natural lines with no false claims, and they are completely low-key about sales. The entire time I dealt with them, I felt like they had my good night's sleep as their top priority. As a result, I am 100% satisfied with my purchase (a latex mattress topper) and can't believe how well I am sleeping at night--not least, because the product has a low impact on the environment.
I whole-heartedly recommend Ergo Sleep Systems and its products. Don't waste your time looking at mattresses anywhere else. Don't waste your money by trying to save a few hundred bucks with an inferior product, either. It's a big decision, there's a lot of phony marketing out there, but the most important thing is that you get a product that helps you sleep well. They're experts at that at Ergo. -

I wandered into the store today in search of a nice memory foam bed, but without latex...they had them here! I have a latex allergy, but found out that all of the proteins that people are allergic to in latex, are actually washed out during processing of the mattress materials...so they're actually safe. Safe or not, when i hear the word "latex" I think about rashes all over my skin with bubbling painful blisters, and an itching that makes you want to knock yourself out just to get some temporary relief!
They guy that helped me, his name was Leonard, he was the coolest, most informative mattress dude ever, he was there to answer any & all questions, recommended some mattresses I should try out based on what I told him I was looking for & what I want a bed to feel like, and his recommendations were GREAT! He also knows exactly when to leave you to test out the beds...he's not a "super hoverer"!
Now all I have to do is bring the boyfriend in to test out the beds, because my man (princess) has to be comfy too! -

Last year, we bought a bed frame, mattress, topper, sheets, and a pillow from Earthsake. I wish we'd visited Ergo first!
They have a much larger selection of mattresses and pillows. We found a better topper today and I'm planning to stop by later to find the perfect pillow. -

I had an amazing experience at Ergo Sleep Systems. I was recommended by someone who insisted that they were the best and that I should only go there for organic mattresses and the best service.
This was totally correct.
Leonard was the sweetest and most knowledgeable guy ever. He spoke about all the details of organic vs not organic, about back alignment, pressure points, sagging.
No other mattress person was ever that informed. All they wanted was to make the sale.
Leonard did not pressure me at all. He was so chill but totally there to answer all my millions of questions. I took a lot of his time and he was awesome throughout the whole experience.
He is really a great guy, he cares about people.
I got an an organic latex mattress and I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Wow, it is so comfortable.
It is really a pleasure to get into my bed and I have been sleeping amazingly well.
I highly recommend Ergo Sleep Systems and I am totally grateful to Leonard for such a great bed! -

Great place. Was actually on my way to another mattress store I had found online and drove by this place. Decided to stop in and check it out. The store rep, Leonard, was a pleasure. Hes knowldgeable about all the products, easy-going, and not pushy. I left my house that morning with the intention of buying a queen-sized bed from another store and ended up buying a king-sized bed from Ergo Sleep Systems. Store has a nice selection of organic mattresses. Leonard was an absolute pleasure to do business with!

I really like this store, mainly because the guy staffing it is deeply knowledgeable about the products they carry. They also carry two of the best organic bed lines I've discovered in my research on the topic - Organicpedic and Natura.
Spending several grand on such an important piece of furniture can be scary. Ergo makes it a lot less scary. -

Got the mattress delivered a month ago (really, it's been that long?) and I am in complete love with it. It did take some time to get used to, but I am a terrible sleeper in general, and I've been sleeping like a baby. WHEE!!!

Searching for an organic latex mattress lead me to about half a dozen brick and mortar stores and countless websites. Investing several thousand dollars on a mattress that you'll spend a 1/3 of your day in for next 15 - 20 years wasn't a decision to be taken half heartily. Stumbling upon Ergo ended my search.
PRODUCTS:
- They carry a wide selection of mattresses but only two manufactures for organic mattresses.
- Organicpedic (OMI) mattresses are by far the purest product on the market. We purchased the "Lago" model. Even though a mattress claims to be organic, not all are manufactured under strict guidelines and certification as OMI.
- OMI carries a 20 year warranty, prorated after 10, and their quality of workmanship is top notch.
- OMI employs the Talalay method for their natural latex and we found it to be more comfortable for us back sleepers.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
- Leonard was excellent. He is very knowledgeable about the products he carries and always provides the pros and cons to help you decide
- Since we took a while from the first time we visited the store to when we finally purchased, he still honored the original quoted price even though the manufacture had increased the pricing - plus two free pillows.
- Delivery and set-up was included in the price and their crew was quick and efficient and hauled away the old mattress set.
Overall a great experience and is nothing like those other chain mattress stores you'll find on every street corner or shopping malls. -

OK, I'm in my 50's and extremely picky, so I do lots of research before making a decision...especially on a $2-3,000 investment. I'm in heaven. No pushy sales guys, very gentle and attentive service, reliable and professional and personable.... I debated as to whether I'd get a mattress with springs and latex or just latex. I'm allergic to mold, so I couldn't get foam or any synthetic material as moisture from perspiration would invite mold growth. I was worried about the heat build-up. Memory foam sleeps very hot and I wake drenched in sweat from synthetic materials. I also don't want to sleep on chemicals (brominated flame retardants..I have enough nervous system trouble!) and I want to promote and use organic products. I decided against the Natural Mattress Store in San Rafael after seeing bulging springs on the floor model...the "Cloud" or something like that. The Ergo Sleep System salesman encouraged me to get a wool topper (an extra $500 or so) and the medium Bliss to assure the bed stayed temperate in the summer. It works! I'm not heating up, the wool topper isn't matting (so far...it has been a little under a year), and I'm as happy as a clam. I sleep like I'm on all pillows...no back problems anymore (have sacra-iliac damage). Again, I'm unusually picky... You can't help but win with these guys.

This place tucked away just off of Fourth St. is a gem. I used to sell furniture and do bodywork (massage), so I am super picky about quality mattresses. Hey, you spend a third of your life sleeping, so why skimp on a cheapy mattress? Ergo carries a wide variety of good quality mattresses and the brothers who run the store are very knowledgeable and are happy to explain the benefits of each. Not only that, they allow you to wander around and try out each of their models to your hearts' content. They want you to feel relaxed, so they have soft music and ambient sound machines around the store. I almost fell asleep on a couple of the mattresses I was trying out, and I have a hard time sleeping anywhere but in my own home! My boyfriend and I bought a great latex/memory foam/wool topper mattress set and we love it. We both have had car accidents and various back issues, and this mattress allows us both to have restful sleep. A warning however: Once you buy one of their mattresses, you will never be able to sleep soundly on a spring mattress ever again. I liken it to the "Princess and the Pea" effect. Don't bother going to a mattress superstore; come here instead and know that you will get a fair price, a great product and fantastic service.

Most my furniture comes from Ohmega Salvage. But I wanted a great sleeper-sofa for a kid in my life who visits occasionally. The New Leather, a soft, cleanable suede, sleeper sofa was exactly what I was looking for. It's comfortable as a sofa, looks great, and has a fold-out bed that's as good as a dedicated bed. It cost almost three-thou, but it's one of those lifetime investments. The salesman, Nel, was a dream to deal with. The delivery crew was competent. Ergo is a basic good place to deal with.

we just bought 2 organic twin mattresses here on sale for a great price and great quality. they were very helpful in answering our questions and they delivered them to our house for free the next day.
