4 stars for good service. 3 stars for everything being so expensive! Bought a bed here, and it's too firm for us. We missed the deadline to swap to a softer mattress, so we have to live with a really hard bed. Sigh. They seem to carry really good products though. Just expect to pay a lot for them. Good, friendly customer service.

Very Very bad experience. Of course the first day when the sales rep, Phil Huddleston, wanted to sell to us, every was great....we didn't even want an adjustable base, but he told us to "just try it" cause if you don't like our product you can return. And he said he will throw in 2 free pillows. Well the bed came, but the pillows and wheels didn't. Then Phil said he will deliver it for us personally, and that didnt happen. Then we tried to return the whole thing but Phil told us we can't return the over $2000 base!!! Because that's not Tempir-pedic!! Very dishonest, and very rude to me and my wife on the phone.
The other sales rep, Jeff, was very nice though. Wish now we had worked with him. -

I love our bed! We have been sleeping on our new Silhouette bed for about a month now and have the best and most restful nights we've ever experienced! We bought an Eastern King (not Cal-King) and love the bigger size. The bed is made so that you don't even know when someone gets up or is a flipper and turns frequently in bed. That's what I mean about getting a decent night's sleep!
Go try out their Silhouette Marseille bed on the showroom floor. I thought we got the Marseille, but it may have been a Nordic. Both have natural latex, inner coil springs, and a natural latex top cover, all sitting on a slat suspension-type foundation. There's a firm side and a soft side to sample and actually you can purchase the bed with two different side, if you like.
One tiny downside, which is not the fault of Ergo, is the delivery company they use could be a bit more polished and given some training so they understand how to set up the bed. Also, calling ahead of time, with a courtesy call, to verify the shipment and what's on the order would prevent missing items. They forgot our bed frame and had to leave to go back and get it (quite a distance, I believe). I was frustrated and called Ergo and, Max, an amazing guy, personally came out to our house that morning to make sure the bed was set up properly. He made the situation a non-situation with his care and concern. I was blown away by Max's call to come out to our house immediately to assist with this. That's first-rate customer service!
As I said before, we bought our bed from Brent, who is a wonderful salesperson, helpful and easygoing in every way. They have an outstanding product line and have no need to push in any way. When you're ready to buy a good-quality bed, they'll be there to assist you in making the best choice for you. So, if you're looking for a five-star sleeping experience, go to Ergo Customized Comfort, in Irvine, and ask for Brent or any one of the nice staff in the store.1 Previous Review: Show all »

This should actually be 3.5 stars. The staff is knowledgeable and patient and do not attempt to hard sell. The exchange policy here is quite awesome - they're willing to exchange beds for you if you don't like it. They carry a unique latex pillow - the oxygen pillow that is phenomenal. The owner Michael has been in the industry for years and has created a fairly niche store with some really great products. Way better than Ortho Mattress (where I started my search) Mostly latex, tempurpedic and custom bases. If you're not in the market for any of those, this place is not for you. On to the service and why they deserve 1.5 stars less than I would have initially given them.
The buying process was a good experience, but buying is only part of the experience. Anybody can treat you nicely when they're trying to get your money, its how they treat you after they have your money is what matters. The other part of the experience that makes a huge difference is service, competence and timeliness.
-Ergo contracts their shipping with JC shipping or something like that. When I called in the morning to attempt to get my bed delivered the guy that picked up was fairly rude at first - not cool! However when they did deliver the truck driver Danny was really polite and called me when he was about 5 minutes away like I requested.
-I also ordered pillows through ergo. They had to order my bed from tempurpedic because they didn't have it in stock (with about 1.5-2 weeks for delivery.) I was told they were going to order my pillow and mattress topper when I ordered the bed. I assumed the pillows I ordered through ergo would get there before my bed would. I received my bed first. I called ergo about my remaining order and whoever I spoke with told me he couldn't find my order and fumbled around with an excuse. So I bluntly asked whether or not my pillow and mattress topper had been issued - bottom line, no. That really IRKED me, just be honest and tell me your office forgot to order it. Apparently they had it rushed down from the manufacturer or something because it arrived 3 days later. I don't know if its just that the guy couldn't find my order in the system or that they really had to rush order it because they forgot it.
If it weren't for the oxygen pillow that they had there I probably would have purchased from Brookstone. Although Michael was very willing to work with me on my demands, Brookstone had a better deal offering 2 free tempurpedic pillows.
Overall, knowledgeable and patient staff. No hard sell and great products and exchange policy. All pluses. Downside? Staff needs to get on same page and even though its not Ergo's fault shipping company needs to remember they represent the seller's image and reputation. Would I recommend this place again? Already did before I ran into those issues. I would say yes for the products and staff, just be prepared for possible delays. -

What a place! We got their latex silhouette bed and can't imagine the times when we did not have it! It is SO comfy. It is locally made and the cover is 100% organic. We actually went there to look for tempurpedic beds, but walked away with the latex bed. Now it is hard to go away from home because even the most luxurious hotel beds don't compare to the bed we have at home. The stuff is very professional and won't stalk you or push you to purchase. Renee was the one who helped us. She was very nice and answered all our questions very promptly. They also have some promotions occasionally. We got 10% (of our purchase) in accessory allowance - it gave us nice pillow and protectors for our mattress and the pillows as well. Check you their website. We sure will be back when we need another bed
