6 reviews for Eraldi's Menswear & Shoes
Eraldi's is one of those places that makes Sonoma, well, Sonoma.
Family-owned with several generations still working in the store, it's a go-to for everything from work boots, Carhart's and a fine plaid cowboy shirt to a Nat Nast or Tommy Bahama button-up. I even bought my women's New Balance running shoes there.
And the Eraldis know men's wear. Dan and Don know my boyfriend's tastes and sizing better than I do. And boy can they pick out a tie. They'll special order, they'll gift wrap, they'll tailor and they have old fashioned charge accounts. The service is stuck in the good ol' days but the fashions are hip and relevant.
And if it's a little more I just don't care. I'd rather have a nice conversation with the Eraldis about the local goings-on while I buy something quality than drive to Santa Rosa and deal with some disgruntled Macy's employee just to save myself $5.
Long live Eraldi's.
Eraldi's would have been where Sherrif Taylor got his Sunday-go-to-meetin clothes, no doubt.
For decades this place has been in Sonoma's Square and I hope it is for always. The people there are excellent. Dan in particular, he KNOWS. I walked in today for a present for my Pa and he remembered things my Dad had bought before, what size he would need, even the styles he tended towards! He is one of the nicest men on the planet and soo wonderful at customer service.
I used to come here in high school for my converse. They still got 'em! If you're looking for pretty much anything in Man World, do come here. Their prices are competitive, their selection is really great and you won't find better people -
You just won't!
Several generations of menswear experience are in the store. In the valley, it was the place men would buy their suits and formal wear...over the years it has emerged as men's equivalent to a fashion boutique of tried and true mixed with modern and eclectic. Still family owned, they will custom order any high fashion and formal gentlemen may need as well...can order the women's versions as well. Exceptional tailoring and specialty services to boot.
Yes, Tommy Bahama and Lucky Brand make the more casual end of the offerings...Cannot beat customer service and the ability to size up a customer and recommend flattering clothing cuts as you step in.
For a small boutique, Eraldi's has a very decent selection of high-quality men's casual and formal wear, including Tommy Bahama, Lucky, etc. You can find all the components of a great outfit here, from ties to shoes. It's also an easy stop for last minute gifts (hello, cashmere sweaters and cufflinks!) or last minute fixes (shoe polish and socks).
Visitors may get sticker shock here, but prices are comparable to the city-- besides, these are nice threads you'll want to wear again and again.
Service is exceptionally friendly and honest-- if something isn't quite working on you, they'll let you know and steer you towards better choices. And we got tips on catching abalone when we were there last time. =)
I take exception with the reviewer who unfairly referred to Mr. Eraldi senior as a grumpy old man.nothing could be further from the truth.Mr. Eraldi has a great personality and is very knowledgable as well as helpful .Great store in a town with mostly tourist shops.they have a great selection of Levi jeans at the best prices I have seen and can outfit men both for work and formal occasions, definetely not cheesy.
My fiance loves this store. I don't think he's ever left empty-handed. Really nice clothes and shoes for men, for all occasions. We found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality of clothing that you get.
