I've been anxiously awaiting this place to open, but after going, I'm not really sure why. It was OK I guess, but nothing special. We got a margherita and a sopresatta pizza, both were pretty OK, but that's all. I prefer Anthony's if you want to stay in that area.
I really wanted to go out for pizza the night I ate here. So, I may be somewhat lenient when I say the pizza didn't suck. It's a brick over pizza that seemed like it should have been left in the oven a little longer. It had a soggy, slippery quality that was odd. It's taste was fine. The pepperoni was much tastier than the sausage. It's the kind of pizza you shouldn't travel much of a distance for. I also had the grilled vegetable appetizer which was excellent. The vegetables (tomatoes, red pepper, endive, asparagus, zucchini...) were slathered in EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) and parm. Really quite delicious. The foccacia bread they serve before the meal comes is really tasty too. It seemed to have some parm baked into it. I would like to go back and try the entrees (such as the Chicken Parm). The restaurant is small and they had the front of the restaurant open as it was a nice day. I'll walk back but I won't run.
