Now this is what an event organization should be. Fun, friendly runs/races in beautiful places. They have grown from a grass roots running focused organization to multi-sport and swimming events. I have done several trail running races over the years and always had a fantastic time. The courses are well marked and staffed. The races are a wonderful way to explore areas you would probably never see on your own.
I would highly recommend for the novice or advanced runner. Every runner on the course is friendly and the volunteers and staff couldn't be more helpful and encouraging. They don't have the "swag" that other big races have, but they do provide an amazing well marked course that will take you to amazing places.
The race entry price is appropriate and race communication is adequate. However, events do tend to sell out quickly. So if you want to do a race, make sure you sign up early.

This is a very fun sports organization. I did the Alcatraz XVIII, the people were nice and I had a great time!
Specialties
For more than 20 years, we've introduced runners to the cathedral-like canopies of Big Sur, the fog-cradled hills of Muir Woods, and the striking panoramic views of the Death Valley desert. Our triathletes have escaped from the ROCK in our Alcatraz Triathlon, cycled beside the vine-covered landscapes of Napa Valley and run along the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. And now we are expanding our Sharkfest Swim series, which began with the Alcatraz Sharkfest swim to include swims from coast to coast in San Diego, Washington DC, Charleston and St. Augustine. Come get active with us at one of our many events!

Enviro-Sports was born out of our passion for nature and the outdoors. Sharing wilderness trails with hundreds of other outdoor enthusiasts through our events comes with the responsibility to respect and preserve the environment.
