My boyfriend and I recently purchased an 06 g35, and before purchasing the car, my boyfriend called Eugene to ask a million and one questions. Eugene was honest and genuinely answered every single question my bf had.
After we made the purchased, we brought it over to him to fully check it out. We also recently did a 90k maintenance. I was not present at the time of that service, but my bf says from the time he dropped off the car (2:30pm) Eugene worked on our car until 8pm.

I've had Eugene work on my 2008 EX35 multiple times and its alway been an amazing experience.

Eugene has performed two comprehensive maintenance checks on our 2008 G37. He is honestly the best. We have complete faith that he is taking the best care of our car. Great service honesty comes first earned it eugene checked my transmission fluid level and did an inspection toped it off and and gave me a transmission dip stick because my g35 didn't come with it I was calling around and it was $75-$100 at the dealer and other places plus the bad service they give you at this places,ugene took care of my care thanks.
When I got my Lexus serviced at the dealership for a recall, they advised me that I needed rear shocks/struts. They quoted me almost $1200 so decided to shop around, called several places & got about 3 different quotes that I found on Yelp. When I called Eugene at Enthusiast Auto Care, he told me he specializes in Infiniti. But when I told him the issue with my car, he was right off the back so helpful over the phone and said he would be able to replace my shocks as he's worked on some Lexuses. In fact he emailed me specifics on the product he planned to order so I had a better understanding. When the part came in, we went back & forth to set an appt & finally I was able to get my car dropped off (I had a busy schedule). Next morning my car was ready for pick up. He showed me the old shocks and explained exactly what he did to my car & even checked a oil leak the dealership said I had. He is so thorough and very organized! I highly recommend Eugene... Reasonable and trustworthy!
I've never used their services before. But on a day when I was looking around to get information for a Honda, Eugene not only spent 10-15 minutes patiently talking on the phone with me about some of my options, he did this even though he doesn't do Honda services.
If this is his level of commitment and service to a non-customer on a phone on a busy morning, then I can extrapolate that his services in person have to be exemplary.
I was very impressed with Eugene's thoroughness for my 60,000 mile Infiniti FX35 service. He fixed my brakes as well doing a great job replacing the bushing in the rear differential, which would have cost twice as much at a dealer. He provided us a loaner car and was expeditious in his service.
I would recommend Eugene to anyone who is seeking a trusted auto mechanic.
My 2005 G35x needed a 120,000 mile service badly and I was so frustrated because I couldn't find a mechanic that I can trust. Luckily, I found Eugene and he solved all my problems. Now, my G35x looks like going for another 120,000 miles!
Eugene not only does a superb job but also has a very reasonable price. He will take all the time needed to explain things to you, more than you like to hear/know. He pays attention to every single details and makes recommendation to you, something I have never experienced in any other auto shops.
From now on, I am just going to forget about all other shops and will have all my 3 cars be serviced by him, even though I have to drive from north San Jose to Concord. It totally worth it.
Last but not the least, Eugene has an assistant and his name is Michael. He is equally good!
Eugene is very accommodating, call or text him he will help you. I called him on a Monday about my g35's broken radiator he ordered all the OEM parts and had everything ready for install that night. Drove from San Jose, watched him do his thing in his CLEAN garage and drove back home within a couple of hours. Worth the drive definitely will be coming back.
Eugene is a down-to-earth, straight forward Infiniti expert. Brought my 6MT G35 for its 60k service and a brake job. He is willing to spend time teaching you as much about you car as you're willing to learn.
He just opened shop in Concord, so if you're in that area and have an Infiniti don't waste your time with anyone else.
I own an 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT. It is a show car and more importantly my baby and I treat it as such. Owners of custom cars are some of the pickiest and most demanding on the planet. We often drive hundreds of miles for service to avoid shady dealerships and shoddy expensive repairs. Eugene's work came highly recommended from others on the local G35 forums, and I contacted him to do some much needed clutch and suspension work. After communicating through email, Eugene kept me informed on the best options and prices and even persuading me to wait for a shipment coming from Japan. I am glad I took his advice as it saved me a lot of money and the quality of his work is far and above excellent. He is also a very friendly and will take the time to explain every detail and answer all questions. His workmanship and attention to detail as well as his honesty are all superb and he has earned my trust and will be the ONLY person I allow to work on my baby.
I recently took my 2000 Toyota Tundra in for a brake inspection/repair. Eugene took the time to analyze all four brakes pads, cleaned the brake drums, and recommend ways to alleviate the problem. Eugene works in a way that allows the customer to learn along the way (unlike most shops). Excellent customer service provided. Highly recommended!!
Had heard great reviews about Eugene. I tend to do most of the work on my won car and have not had the best experience with dealers... Took my 2005 Infiniti G35 to get the clutch replaced. They did top notch work and I couldnt be more pleased. finally found a place that I can trust taking my car to get it done right with reasonable prices.
If you have a Nissan or Infiniti I would not consider going anywhere else.
If you want someone that loves your car as much as you do talk to Eugene. He was by far one of the best mechanics I have ever met. He helped me change differential subframe bushing and both differential ear bushings as well. He also taught me a lot about my car and how I can improve and make changes on it and what needs to be worked on. He did work on my 2007 350z and I would highly recommend him if you have a Nissan because he knows so much about them. I am a customer for life.
What an amazing job Eugene has done for our 2008 Infiniti G35S.
We have taken it to him twice, and it has run smoothly since then. There has never been an issue with the tune up, etc. that we have received.

Eugene has been a life saver.. literally! I've had work done ranging from brake inspections to clutch/flywheel replacement. If you knew him from Milpitas, then you'll be blown away by his new setup. It really has a top quality garage that would rival any of the best shops out there. I originally heard of Eugene through the G35 forums. He was well known for doing exceptional work on Infiniti's. He has now expanded his knowledge to all makes. What makes Eugene unique as a mechanic is that he is honest. "Mechanic, honest?" Yes! It's no longer a myth or example of an oxymoron but reality. Sometime after the clutch and flywheel swap I had to take my car to the dealership for recall work and the mechanics at the dealership commented on how clean the work was by Eugene. Dealership compliments on the quality of work speaks for itself. Eugene is a professional. He has always treated me right. He takes the time to explain everything he is doing. He has come through for me on a several occasions. The most notably was when the radiator blew on my G35. I had the car towed to the nearest Infiniti dealership (Concord) and they wanted $2000! That was ridiculous. While it was there I had asked them check my tires. I had paid extra for inspecting my vehicle too. When I found out the cost of the repairs I immediately called Eugene and he quoted me around a cost of $500. So, I had the tow company pick up my car and deliver it to Eugene. He knocked out the repair in just a few hours. While he was working underneath my car he noticed that my front driver's side tire's tread was separating. I was assured by Infiniti of Concord that my tires were fine. Eugene threw on my spare tire and potentially saved my life. First of all My name is Eddie, owner of a 2004 G35 Sedan.. Just like most people i searched and searched for the best reviews online, even tried contacting a few mechanic buddies of mine for their input and opinions on what car issue i have and might be. I wanted to make sure I wasn't told any B.S. other than the issue that i currently had with my car, which was that it was dying out and not running right. I also wanted a well trusted mechanic, one who knows a lot about infiniti's in particular. very sensitive and precious ride.
So after reviewing and searching around prices and quotes I saw Eugene's Yelp page and reviews, read his profile about the knowledge and skills and the gift he has with infiniti's.
I originally thought it was a tune up issue or somewhat. I decided to contact Eugene, FAST RESPONSE.. took it to him at night right after work , WORKS ALL THRU THEE NIGHT.. found out thee issue within 45 minutes.. found out it was my camshaft sensor along with a dirty gooky throttle body that was effecting my idling.. fix it quick for thee tech master.. after fixing those issues, he contacted me about other parts that are at risk of future maintenance such as timing belt ,air filters, spark plugs, transmission flush and other miscellaneous parts that previous mechanics either broke and didn't notify me ,or that were missing when previously worked on..

I have owned my 2006 Infiniti m35 for 4 yrs and drove it 60k miles. Eugene is the only mechanic that I trust with the car. I first met him 4 yrs ago in Sanra Clara for an oil change. He was very detail oriented and even took the time to educate me about the car. Because my car is older, I experienced two road break downs. Eugene has always been there to repair my car, even on late evenings and weekends. after Eugene moved to Concord, I still drive the extra miles for him to take care of my car. His new garage set up is extremely professional and he even has a loaner car to make it convenient for me to drop off my car and run errands while he works on it. I love Infinitis and as long as I own one, I will take it to Eugene!

Enthusiast Auto Care service is tailored for clients that care a big deal about their cars. Then there is human aspect - Eugene took time to explain and educate me on maintenance procedures, what is needed, what is optional. He even drove to pick me up when my car was ready.
Eugene knows his Infiniti/Nissan cars. Took my 2004 G35 coupe to him for a 60K maintenance and he did everything by himself in just 5 hours. I wanted to make sure that I had everything done to my car that needed to be done for a normal 60K and asked him for advice. He suggested the things that needed to be done to my car but said that he could not say if it was necessary or not, but it was for me to decide if I wanted him to do the service. I basically had him change all the fluids on my car, change the drive belts, etc. He even fixed my rear sway bar that keeps coming off once a year because of a loose bolt. I had my center caps stolen on my rims years ago which he also noticed and gave me a good deal on some used ones that he had in stock. He also fixed a rear side marker that had needed a bulb to be replaced. He has a great eye for detail and won't miss a thing if something is wrong with your car.
Eugene is located in South Bay which is convenient for me because he lives really close from my work/home. I normally drive all the way up to Peninsula Infiniti to have all my services taken care of, but now that I found Eugene I'll probably go to him more often now.

I got in touch with Eugene, the man behind the shop and gave him list of things to be done. I am glad i did this as it is one of the best experience i ever had.
He is an Infiniti specialist and he is always willing to work with you on the car. He takes his time to explain in detail if you are interested in knowing the fundamentals of car repair.
Needless to say, i was very impressed. All the work was carried out efficiently and to the highest level of satisfaction. He is the only one who pointed out a oil leak that other shop didn't even bother to mention.

After reading some of these reviews, it shows that Eugene is an expert working on Infinities. But don't be fooled, he does awesome work on other brands as well. I brought in my top of the line Lexus LS to him for a brake job and let me tell you, the car comes to a full stop smoother than ever - and this thing is super heavy. Eugene is honest and really takes his time to make sure you are satisfied. I've taken my car to other shops, including a dealership, before and they just want to get you in and out as quickly as possible while charging insane prices. Eugene wants to make sure that your car gets fixed right the first time around and his rate is very competitive. He'll even teach and show you a few things about your car if you stick around. Next, I'll have to bring our other car to him for a brake job and change all the fluids.

Eugene is as good as it gets when it comes to "auto".
I called up Eugene yesterday with a problem - my window glass had fallen through after some repair work done by a glass company. I asked him if he could help.
Instead of the usual "sure, come by", he asked me if I had called the company who did the work, and see if they would do it for free. I did call the company, and they decided to do it for free.
Eugene is the most honest, passionate, and competent auto expert I've come by.
Last November, I found Eugene on Yelp, and wanted to get my car checked up before I went on a long trip.
He meticulously inspected the car, checked everything. I was surprised by how organized he was in his affairs. Being an Engineer, I was curious as to how some of the things work, and how I could do some of these routine things on my own. He explained the steps to me in great detail, and recommended tools that I should buy to do it myself.
Eugene's passion comes through in the work that he does. I'd highly recommend him.
From now on Eugene is my go to mechanic for our 2007 Infiniti G35. After the xmas vacation, my car battery died. I got a new battery, but the car was stuttering and/or stalling when I accelerate from idle. This was a safety threat as I would continually drive in fear of stalling in the middle of an intersection. I gave Eugene a call based on his proximity to my place and his awesome yelp reviews. Over the phone, he immediately he pointed out that Infiniti has a service bulletin for an ECM flash could potentially fix the issue. I brought the car to him and he was able to narrow down the problem to the VTCs or the ECM. Since reprogramming the ECMs were much cheaper than replacing the VTCs, he referred me to Beshoff to get the ECM reprogrammed. (ECM reprogramming can only be done at dealers). That worked great and the car was running smooth again.
I also brought the car to him to replace a belt, flush brake fluid and fix the coolant hose leak. In doing so, he also recognized a bad pulley/ball bearing in the belt system. He replaced this for free for me. Another bonus perk was that he also replaced the ailing battery in my key remote for free.... now that's attention to details. His work ethic is very professional. He listens to customer's issues and is able to address the right issues. His pricing upfront, honest and fair.
To make the servicing even more convenient, he provided a free service loaner for me to drive to work while he worked on my car in the afternoon.....

This review is long overdue because I have been bringing my car to Eugene since he worked on it last year.
I have to admit, I never trust mechanics at all. I usually try to work on the car by myself so I know everything is done right. I have found these awesome DIY videos on youtube and it has made things a lot easier to follow.
However, there are always times where I just don't have the equipment or the confidence to work on a part. That's when I realized the maker of those DIY videos is Eugene, and he is based in the Bay Area.
I first came to him to have my rear axles serviced for the notorious clicking sound. Subsequently Eugene has helped me flush my steering wheel fluid, front + rear diff oil, transfer case fluid, replaced compression rods, endlinks, etc.
What really impressed me the most is that Eugene cares more about doing the job right than I do! His attention to detail is unmatched by any mechanic I have dealt with. I feel even if I went to the dealer and paid a fortune... I am not gonna get this level of care for the car.
The second thing is when Eugene gives you a quote, he will tell you how much time needed for the job. If he exceeds that quote for whatever reason, he won't even charge you the difference.
To wrap this up... (I can go on forever here...)
If you have an Infiniti. This is the only place you should go for service.
I recently bought a used 07 G35 Sedan, and knew there were some things to tend to. Some research led me to Eugene, and wow, it was the best decision I've made to come to him. That's mainly thanks to the other people here who've posted a Review for Eugene.
I just visited Eugene, yesterday, for the "Rear Axle Click", on both sides! How lucky am I?! Eugene performed the task with precision and took his time. And he did the whole 'explaining as he goes', which was perfect as a customer who wanted to know. I had one axle that seemed to have some corrosion, not giving way to Eugene's attempts. But all he did was keep at it and carefully, he got it out. While getting the Rear Axle Click fixed, (BTW, no more clicks! on both sides! Thanks Eugene), he checked my battery condition, and turns out it's time to change it.
I had also mentioned that I hear brake squeaks, but wanted to have him take a look at it another day as it was very late in the day. Eugene did a quick assessment on the rear rotor, and wow, it's bad... :-(
So anyways, rambling on.., I'm coming back to Eugene with no hesitation.

When you think of an ideal car service provider, you think of 4 things:
4. Reasonable prices
Well, Eugene has all these 4, and I'd rate each of these 4 attributes at 5 stars each as well.
I'll describe my experience with Eugene briefly. I called for 60K service + to check on loud noise when the car is at certain speed. First, a discussion on the phone, where Eugene lists out all the services that he would do, the options I have (better oil or not, full flush or partial, etc.) with the trade-offs, and the costs - very patiently. I learned a ton just from this, which will never happen with any other shop.
When I got there, he was enthusiastically waiting, and immediately worked with me to identify the noise. To make it short, the entire interaction with Eugene was about as pleasant as it can get, like a great new friend.
As for expertise, well. Before he even popped the engine open, he almost immediately he smelled coolant. He asked if I had added new coolant lately. I said no. Then he said the coolant might have leaked. Sure enough, as we popped the engine open, we saw the pipe as leaking (I had no idea of course). That's a small thing, but it illustrates his expertise. I didn't stay for the entire time he was working on the car, but the 1/2 hour I was there, his diagnosis and analysis was top notch all the way.
As for prices, he is not cheap cheap, but definitely more than reasonable. For about the cost of going to dealer, I get much more out of it, more services, better fluids, and better care. To top it off, he also threw in a couple of extra fixes without extra fee. :)
In short, I don't think you can find a better car guy anywhere.
I recently had the 60k service performed on my 2008 G37S by Eugene. I am very particular about my vehicles and the work that is conducted on them. Eugene took the time to explain in detail all the steps he would take to perform the service. He explained what brand and type of fluids would best benefit my particular car. Once the car was at his shop he did a very thorough inspection from bulbs to major components. He has an eye for detail on Infiniti vehicles that would rival a medial specialist. He conducts himself and his work with the utmost integrity, honesty, and precision. I have never taken the time to write a Yelp review, however I was overwhelming satisfied and impressed with Eugene and the work he performs.
Eugene is everything you need in an auto mechanic and a lot of what you'd want on top of that.
First off, I'd rather give 4.5 stars, because I think for a repeat-style business an auto mechanic you can never judge it off of one interaction, but that's all I've got to go off of so far and the exchange was pretty much perfect.
My car: I own a 2003 G35 Sedan. I recently had it handed down from me from my father and Grandfather who do the minimum necessary to keep it safe and on the road. In any case, their maintenance left much to be desired as the car had an unsettling rattling sound and questionable vibration. I took my car in for three issues: 60k tune up, that rattling sound, and an airbag warning light that had been blinking for the last 2,000 miles.
About Eugene and what he did:
Most importantly, he listened. He listened to my life/economic situation, about my car, and about what my plans were for my car. He then gave me a pretty fair assessment of what he thought would need to be done and what items would more likely be optional and we worked out a likely game plan - followed by a very detailed and eventually accurate estimate of the work to be done.
He gave my car the tune-up, took care of the rattling sound (apparently my exhaust pipe had been unsecured for sometime, yay - silent and secure as a mute mouse now), and set me up with a dealer to take care of the air bag issue.
I think the most important thing I can say is that Eugene strikes you as someone who wants to learn/fix your car first and make money second. He has a rare kind of honesty and it's coupled with the ability to communicate well and set your expectations correctly about your vehicle.
He gave me a detailed breakdown of things he did and what he saw when he was working. He gave me a heads up on some current problems, whether they needed fixing, and some problems to be aware of down the road. I now have full confidence in driving my car.
I would recommend him to anyone with an Infiniti.
About a month ago, I took my G35 Coupe to Eugene for 60k maintenance. He is very detail oriented, knowledgeable and passionate about infiniti. More importantly he was incredibly patient to me who knows nothing about my vehicle. :) I've learnt a lot from his explanation and was super happy about the experience. I went to another dealer for changing tires and tuning alignments couple days ago. Eugene helped me explain my problems to that dealer and even gave me his opinion on the quote, which I really appreciated.

Eugene is awesome! I was having steering rack issues and after being to the dealer several times and getting the run-around, I almost gave up but thanks to Yelp I got in touch with Eugene who within a few minutes diagnosed the problem and told me exactly what I needed to do. I ended up getting a new steering rack free of charge from the dealer because my car was still within warranty. Eugene told me exactly what to say to the dealer so they wouldn't give me the run-around and it worked!
Highly recommend him and look forward to taking my car to him from now on.
I called in to bring my Nissan 350z because the passenger's side window went down and didn't come up. Called Eugene on the phone, and he told me how to fix it right there. Ran down to the garage and gave a tap to the inside of the door while holding the window button up and up it went. Tested it a few times to see if it would go down and come back up and it did.
Definitely recommend him.
My 2005 G35 Coupe was approaching it's 100k maintenance and I wanted someone who knew what they were doing to do the maintenance on my car. I was doing my research to find the right person for the job, and sure enough Eugene was my obvious choice. First of all, he is like the "Stephen Hawking" of Nissan/Infiniti's, and I'm not exaggerating that he really knows a lot about these cars in general to details . I called him and was easily able to get a hold of him during the very first call. He asked me to email him the required maintenance with the info of the vehicle. After couple of hours I got a written estimate of the parts and labor, which was at a very reasonable price. Not only the regular maintenance, Eugene also helped me put in my lower control bushing. Eugene is a very nice and helpful guy and he also helped me with a loaner car which I was able to use to get back home (San Francisco). Eugene went above and beyond and inspected the whole vehicle for any other flaws and fixed small issues. From now on, I'm only taking my G to Eugene for service and also highly recommend everyone else to do the same.
Eugene is a knowledgeable mechanic. Don't make the same mistake as I did, wasting time and money getting ripped off by poor service from the dealership.
A squealing noise was coming from the engine, I had brought it to the dealership 3 times and they were unable to diagnose the cause. Within 30 minutes- Eugene discovered what the problem was and fixed it quickly.
He also fixed an issue with the hinge in my hood that was ignored and exacerbated by bad mechanics at SF Infiniti.

Eugene is the greatest Infiniti mechanic ever! I recently purchased a used 2005 Infiniti G35 that was missing brake shims for the two front tires. I had gone back to the dealership asking if they would add the shims since my front brakes were making squealing noises, however the dealer would not comply without me paying 300.00!!!
I left the dealer without the shims and figured the squealing was normal.
Eugene saw me at the Rivermark plaza and flagged me down when he heard my brakes. He told me that he could fix the issue and put the shims on for me. Eugene met me at my house and completely fixed the problem, added the shims, taught me about the brake system and was done within an hour. I recommend him to everyone that has or owns an Infiniti!

I became a member of the Infiniti community when I purchased a new 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan 6MT. I opened my personal garage to all forum members to help them do maintenance, modifications and repairs. Since then, I have turned my hobby into a successful mobile auto repair business, with a focus on outstanding customer service and education. In 2010, my beloved G35 was totaled and today its successor is a 2011 G37 Sedan, 6MT. I am active in the Infiniti community and always try to stay up to date on the latest service bulletins and repair practices.
