Eugene is a down-to-earth, straight forward Infiniti expert. Brought my 6MT G35 for its 60k service and a brake job. He is willing to spend time teaching you as much about you car as you're willing to learn.
He just opened shop in Concord, so if you're in that area and have an Infiniti don't waste your time with anyone else.
I recently took my 2000 Toyota Tundra in for a brake inspection/repair. Eugene took the time to analyze all four brakes pads, cleaned the brake drums, and recommend ways to alleviate the problem. Eugene works in a way that allows the customer to learn along the way (unlike most shops). Excellent customer service provided. Highly recommended!!
Had heard great reviews about Eugene. I tend to do most of the work on my won car and have not had the best experience with dealers... Took my 2005 Infiniti G35 to get the clutch replaced. They did top notch work and I couldnt be more pleased. finally found a place that I can trust taking my car to get it done right with reasonable prices.
If you have a Nissan or Infiniti I would not consider going anywhere else.
My 06 g35 sedan is my baby, and Eugene has passed the test. I will be bringing him all my future business in the future and recommend him to others. He has the patience to teach you any DIY lessons, as well as the patience to sift through your car and find things that need to be changed and things that can wait for the next appointment. I had my rear brakes and drive belts replaced. His attention to detail is unparalleled by any other mechanic i've used in my life. He was able to walk me through everything he was working on, as well as make small minor modifications to other parts that would need servicing soon. He also offers incredibly competitive rates, and for the service I'd gladly pay it. Looking forward to the next appointment!
PROTIP: If you care a great deal about your car, down to minor nitty gritty details, this is the place to come. Very discerning eye and high expertise.
What an amazing job Eugene has done for our 2008 Infiniti G35S.
We have taken it to him twice, and it has run smoothly since then. There has never been an issue with the tune up, etc. that we have received.
Eugene is incredibly honest, and is very hard working. He is willing to sit down with you to go over what is wrong with your car. He is an expert on Infintis and I recommend him to anyone who wants great work done at a quality price.
He is incredibly smart and is available at all times to answer questions for you. He is highly educated and very nice.
I honestly can't say anything else about him besides the fact his work is 100% top notch at the best price you will find anywhere.
Enthusiast Auto care is awesome! I drive a infiniti G35 & recently finished my factory warrant....I met with Eugene and impressed with communication and motivation to provide customer satisfaction.
He takes time to explain minute details which car dealers never care about. based on your car history he recommends what your car needs. I'm glad I did. my car runs great again now.
If you are a avg car driver owing Nissan or Infiniti cars and trying to find a reliable car technician without losing an arm or leg....just give Eugene a call! You will be happiest Driver ever. I've decided to go for my ongoing maintenance to Eugene too...Hopefully I will come back and write more great things!
First of all My name is Eddie, owner of a 2004 G35 Sedan.. Just like most people i searched and searched for the best reviews online, even tried contacting a few mechanic buddies of mine for their input and opinions on what car issue i have and might be. I wanted to make sure I wasn't told any B.S. other than the issue that i currently had with my car, which was that it was dying out and not running right. I also wanted a well trusted mechanic, one who knows a lot about infiniti's in particular. very sensitive and precious ride.
So after reviewing and searching around prices and quotes I saw Eugene's Yelp page and reviews, read his profile about the knowledge and skills and the gift he has with infiniti's.
I originally thought it was a tune up issue or somewhat. I decided to contact Eugene, FAST RESPONSE.. took it to him at night right after work , WORKS ALL THRU THEE NIGHT.. found out thee issue within 45 minutes.. found out it was my camshaft sensor along with a dirty gooky throttle body that was effecting my idling.. fix it quick for thee tech master.. after fixing those issues, he contacted me about other parts that are at risk of future maintenance such as timing belt ,air filters, spark plugs, transmission flush and other miscellaneous parts that previous mechanics either broke and didn't notify me ,or that were missing when previously worked on..
Eugene is the real deal, most straight forward Auto Tech you will ever meet. With a lot of knowledge, passion and heart for infiniti's. Eugene has a great gift and touch for cars, no matter what time of the night or what thee issue might be, he will keep searching and Fix in no time, properly back to brand new with no shortcuts and plenty connections to get the job done. Getting you back on the road driving your car strong and back to how it was brand new and how its supposed to be.
5 STARS ON QUALITY WORK
5 STARS ON KNOWLEDGE AND TEACHING CUSTOMERS THEIR CAR ISSUE
5 STARS ON AVAILABILITY, GREAT FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST 5 STARS ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
THANKS EUGENE!!!! CAR RUNS LIKE A CHAMP! HAPPY HOLIDAYS..
Very good experience, everything that people write below is true.
Enthusiast Auto Care service is tailored for clients that care a big deal about their cars. Then there is human aspect - Eugene took time to explain and educate me on maintenance procedures, what is needed, what is optional. He even drove to pick me up when my car was ready.
Eugene is as good as it gets when it comes to "auto".
I called up Eugene yesterday with a problem - my window glass had fallen through after some repair work done by a glass company. I asked him if he could help.
Instead of the usual "sure, come by", he asked me if I had called the company who did the work, and see if they would do it for free. I did call the company, and they decided to do it for free.
Eugene is the most honest, passionate, and competent auto expert I've come by.
Last November, I found Eugene on Yelp, and wanted to get my car checked up before I went on a long trip.
He meticulously inspected the car, checked everything. I was surprised by how organized he was in his affairs. Being an Engineer, I was curious as to how some of the things work, and how I could do some of these routine things on my own. He explained the steps to me in great detail, and recommended tools that I should buy to do it myself.
Eugene's passion comes through in the work that he does. I'd highly recommend him.
I know Eugene when he started this business several years ago. I like to take my Z here and completely trust my car to him. He is very knowledgeable and the most important thing is his honesty. If you are a car enthusiast like me and like to work on cars, definitely it's worth of try to bring your car here!
I have encountered very few people in the auto-servicing industry that leave me happy after I pay them. Eugene was an exception. All I was hoping for before I went there (after reading yelp reviews) was that when I leave Eugene's house, my car works fine.
I got a lot more. Apart from allaying my fears about certain noises that were emanating from my car, Eugene gave me a 'G35-101.' I know a lot more about my car now and I am more confident of not getting cheated out of money for small services. I will consult him before I get anything done to my car, and so should you!
It's that time again... maintenance. 60k service is what I'm here for today. I didn't need the full 60k service so he was delighted to help me with whatever it was that I needed. We discussed matters online, crossed items that was needed and not needed. I didn't have to think twice about my appointment today. I was glad to see him again since he took care of my rear brakes previously. There wasn't any other place that could beat his prices too! During process, he showed me what he was doing and was educating me on my car. He's also checking my spark plugs for drivetrain warranty. I feel safe with my car with his garage. You won't get this kind of experience anywhere else.
I almost forgot to mention... FREE WI-FI!
Much like everyone else here, I took my G35 to Eugene for maintenance work and came away extremely pleased with his level of skill and professionalism.
My thoughts echo the sentiments found in every other review, and demonstrate service that's consistently great.
1) Reasonable rates
2) Knowledgeable owner
3) Great follow up care (Eugene will make it a point to be proactive and contact you to make sure that everything's been handled to your satisfaction.)
I own an 05 G35 coupe 6mt. Eugene was great! I originally called to get the oil changed and from that first conversation I could tell he knew his stuff. He contacted the dealer for me and pulled the records on my vehicle, which indicated that I was due for the transmission oil and rear diff oil as well.
He did a great job, plus I was able to hang around and see everything he did, so I learned a lot in the process. He is very flexible in scheduling and he comes to you, how great is that!? Before he even started on the oil he looked over the car to make sure nothing looked out of place. I can't stress enough how thorough he is.
Before you buy anything... tires, aftermarket mods, repairs, etc. Get Eugene's opinion first.
I highly recommend his services to anyone who really loves their Infiniti!
Eugene's my new guru :) Typically did my oil changes at a local Nissan dealership near my work since despite their inflated costs, they were close by and had a shuttle to get me to work. But for my 30k maintenance service, I knew I wanted to get someone I absolutely trusted since it was going to be much more in terms of work done and also cost.
Found a recommendation for him on the G35driver forum although I have a 350z :] and it was a great thing I did. Very informative and thorough over the phone figuring out exactly what I needed and went through a whole explanation about different options and didn't try to pressure me into the most expensive stuff (unlike the hellspawn from the dealerships). Great guy to deal with, very good communication, and always answered my emails and calls promptly. I'll be going back to him when I need other stuff done. Thanks Eugene!
I called in to bring my Nissan 350z because the passenger's side window went down and didn't come up. Called Eugene on the phone, and he told me how to fix it right there. Ran down to the garage and gave a tap to the inside of the door while holding the window button up and up it went. Tested it a few times to see if it would go down and come back up and it did.
Definitely recommend him.
I was looking for a good shop to get my G35 serviced. I came across this shop through yelp reviews and decided to give it a try.
I got in touch with Eugene, the man behind the shop and gave him list of things to be done. I am glad i did this as it is one of the best experience i ever had.
He is an Infiniti specialist and he is always willing to work with you on the car. He takes his time to explain in detail if you are interested in knowing the fundamentals of car repair.
Needless to say, i was very impressed. All the work was carried out efficiently and to the highest level of satisfaction. He is the only one who pointed out a oil leak that other shop didn't even bother to mention.
I am very happy to say that he now has a customer for life as long as i have an infiniti of any kind. If you love your car, take it to Eugene, you will be glad you did. Best guy ever! Thumbs up for your hard work and see you soon.
This review is long overdue because I have been bringing my car to Eugene since he worked on it last year.
I have to admit, I never trust mechanics at all. I usually try to work on the car by myself so I know everything is done right. I have found these awesome DIY videos on youtube and it has made things a lot easier to follow.
However, there are always times where I just don't have the equipment or the confidence to work on a part. That's when I realized the maker of those DIY videos is Eugene, and he is based in the Bay Area.
I first came to him to have my rear axles serviced for the notorious clicking sound. Subsequently Eugene has helped me flush my steering wheel fluid, front + rear diff oil, transfer case fluid, replaced compression rods, endlinks, etc.
What really impressed me the most is that Eugene cares more about doing the job right than I do! His attention to detail is unmatched by any mechanic I have dealt with. I feel even if I went to the dealer and paid a fortune... I am not gonna get this level of care for the car.
The second thing is when Eugene gives you a quote, he will tell you how much time needed for the job. If he exceeds that quote for whatever reason, he won't even charge you the difference.
To wrap this up... (I can go on forever here...)
If you have an Infiniti. This is the only place you should go for service.
My friend, Laura R, highly recommended Eugene for repairs, maintenance, and installs for my recently bought Inifiniti 08' G35 Sedan.
Eugene was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining what would be done for my service. He answered all the questions a new owner could ask. I really liked the amount of care he had with my car for every visit.
I recommend Eugene to anyone who has a G and is looking for a true enthusiast AND auto mechanic for your car. His service is worth every cent.
One of my rare reviews, but this one truly deserves it.
When you think of an ideal car service provider, you think of 4 things:
4. Reasonable prices
Well, Eugene has all these 4, and I'd rate each of these 4 attributes at 5 stars each as well.
I'll describe my experience with Eugene briefly. I called for 60K service + to check on loud noise when the car is at certain speed. First, a discussion on the phone, where Eugene lists out all the services that he would do, the options I have (better oil or not, full flush or partial, etc.) with the trade-offs, and the costs - very patiently. I learned a ton just from this, which will never happen with any other shop.
When I got there, he was enthusiastically waiting, and immediately worked with me to identify the noise. To make it short, the entire interaction with Eugene was about as pleasant as it can get, like a great new friend.
As for expertise, well. Before he even popped the engine open, he almost immediately he smelled coolant. He asked if I had added new coolant lately. I said no. Then he said the coolant might have leaked. Sure enough, as we popped the engine open, we saw the pipe as leaking (I had no idea of course). That's a small thing, but it illustrates his expertise. I didn't stay for the entire time he was working on the car, but the 1/2 hour I was there, his diagnosis and analysis was top notch all the way.
As for prices, he is not cheap cheap, but definitely more than reasonable. For about the cost of going to dealer, I get much more out of it, more services, better fluids, and better care. To top it off, he also threw in a couple of extra fixes without extra fee. :)
In short, I don't think you can find a better car guy anywhere.
Eugene knows his Infiniti/Nissan cars. Took my 2004 G35 coupe to him for a 60K maintenance and he did everything by himself in just 5 hours. I wanted to make sure that I had everything done to my car that needed to be done for a normal 60K and asked him for advice. He suggested the things that needed to be done to my car but said that he could not say if it was necessary or not, but it was for me to decide if I wanted him to do the service. I basically had him change all the fluids on my car, change the drive belts, etc. He even fixed my rear sway bar that keeps coming off once a year because of a loose bolt. I had my center caps stolen on my rims years ago which he also noticed and gave me a good deal on some used ones that he had in stock. He also fixed a rear side marker that had needed a bulb to be replaced. He has a great eye for detail and won't miss a thing if something is wrong with your car.
Eugene is located in South Bay which is convenient for me because he lives really close from my work/home. I normally drive all the way up to Peninsula Infiniti to have all my services taken care of, but now that I found Eugene I'll probably go to him more often now.
Highly recommended if you have an Infiniti/Nissan!
Eugene is a totally honest guy that won't be satisfied until he knows that everything is completely right. Always does solid work, and I can trust him with all of it. He'll go the extra mile to make sure you're happy, and the prices... you can't beat.
Just fortunate I live close! I've been to him a few times now, the latest for 60k, and will keep going back.
I've had Eugene's business card for a while and finally decided to give him a call for my next oil change/tire rotation. This was the first time I've ever had service done on my FX outside of the dealer and it will not be my last. I called a couple days ahead to schedule my appointment and to go over the details. He was very thorough and prompt with his responses and made sure all my questions/concerns were addressed, which made me feel at ease since I'm not a very car savvy person. I didn't feel pressured into getting unnecessary stuff done either (ahem...dealers)
Eugene is great - very knowledgeable and professional. He explained what he was doing throughout the whole process and even gave me some tips along the way. He's a really friendly guy and you can tell he's very passionate about what he does. His prices are reasonable and you can't beat the convenience.
I'll definitely contact him again for future service needs.
Eugene is everything you need in an auto mechanic and a lot of what you'd want on top of that.
First off, I'd rather give 4.5 stars, because I think for a repeat-style business an auto mechanic you can never judge it off of one interaction, but that's all I've got to go off of so far and the exchange was pretty much perfect.
My car: I own a 2003 G35 Sedan. I recently had it handed down from me from my father and Grandfather who do the minimum necessary to keep it safe and on the road. In any case, their maintenance left much to be desired as the car had an unsettling rattling sound and questionable vibration. I took my car in for three issues: 60k tune up, that rattling sound, and an airbag warning light that had been blinking for the last 2,000 miles.
About Eugene and what he did:
Most importantly, he listened. He listened to my life/economic situation, about my car, and about what my plans were for my car. He then gave me a pretty fair assessment of what he thought would need to be done and what items would more likely be optional and we worked out a likely game plan - followed by a very detailed and eventually accurate estimate of the work to be done.
He gave my car the tune-up, took care of the rattling sound (apparently my exhaust pipe had been unsecured for sometime, yay - silent and secure as a mute mouse now), and set me up with a dealer to take care of the air bag issue.
I think the most important thing I can say is that Eugene strikes you as someone who wants to learn/fix your car first and make money second. He has a rare kind of honesty and it's coupled with the ability to communicate well and set your expectations correctly about your vehicle.
He gave me a detailed breakdown of things he did and what he saw when he was working. He gave me a heads up on some current problems, whether they needed fixing, and some problems to be aware of down the road. I now have full confidence in driving my car.
I would recommend him to anyone with an Infiniti.
Eugene is an excellent mechanic, very knowledgeable on Infiniti vehicles, as well as other cars too. He's very honest and straightforward with any questions or concerns you may have with your vehicle, and if he doesn't have an answer for you right away, he'll goes beyond any limit to get the answers for you.
I have an 05 Infiniti G35 coupe any questions or concerns I have regarding our car, he's the first person I think of for assistance. I highly recommend him to all of my family/friends...
Eugene is the greatest Infiniti mechanic ever! I recently purchased a used 2005 Infiniti G35 that was missing brake shims for the two front tires. I had gone back to the dealership asking if they would add the shims since my front brakes were making squealing noises, however the dealer would not comply without me paying 300.00!!!
I left the dealer without the shims and figured the squealing was normal.
Eugene saw me at the Rivermark plaza and flagged me down when he heard my brakes. He told me that he could fix the issue and put the shims on for me. Eugene met me at my house and completely fixed the problem, added the shims, taught me about the brake system and was done within an hour. I recommend him to everyone that has or owns an Infiniti!
About a month ago, I took my G35 Coupe to Eugene for 60k maintenance. He is very detail oriented, knowledgeable and passionate about infiniti. More importantly he was incredibly patient to me who knows nothing about my vehicle. :) I've learnt a lot from his explanation and was super happy about the experience. He won all my respect and trust.
I went to another dealer for changing tires and tuning alignments couple days ago. Eugene helped me explain my problems to that dealer and even gave me his opinion on the quote, which I really appreciated.
Eugene is definitely my go-to person for any future work or questions on my car. I would recommend Eugene to anyone that owns infiniti.
Eugene is awesome! I was having steering rack issues and after being to the dealer several times and getting the run-around, I almost gave up but thanks to Yelp I got in touch with Eugene who within a few minutes diagnosed the problem and told me exactly what I needed to do. I ended up getting a new steering rack free of charge from the dealer because my car was still within warranty. Eugene told me exactly what to say to the dealer so they wouldn't give me the run-around and it worked!
Highly recommend him and look forward to taking my car to him from now on.
Eugene is a knowledgeable mechanic. Don't make the same mistake as I did, wasting time and money getting ripped off by poor service from the dealership.
A squealing noise was coming from the engine, I had brought it to the dealership 3 times and they were unable to diagnose the cause. Within 30 minutes- Eugene discovered what the problem was and fixed it quickly.
He also fixed an issue with the hinge in my hood that was ignored and exacerbated by bad mechanics at SF Infiniti.
He explains a lot of the work he performs and makes sure you know what you are paying for. He's very competent and honest, and I wish I had found him earlier.
A few months ago, I was sitting in my husband's G35 waiting for him to come out of the Home Depot store when this guy walked up to the window and waved at me. Through the closed window, he explained that he worked on Infinitis. He suggested that I read his reviews on Yelp and email if the car needed service. It was a strange "cold call" in the parking lot but that's how we met Eugene. Eugene has done the car's brake pads and rotors. He has also traced and fixed an oil leak. He researched the best place for us to have our shocks done and he found an after market dashboard kit to fix the out of warranty "radio gone bad, AC gone wild" that afflicts 2003 G35's. He is very knowledgeable about the car and explains things in understandable terms. The car is always done when he promises and there are no hidden costs. I highly recommend his work.
If you own an Infiniti, there is a good chance you care about cars, and especially YOUR car. That's why I'll never let anyone but Eugene touch my '07 G35 again.
He has care, detail, and expertise unlike you will ever come across at your standard service center or the dealership for that matter. I have been to him for an oil change and my 30K service and each time he treated my car as if it was his own.
And for the ladies out there - I know auto service can't be somewhat daunting. I'm not saying the "clueless" stereotype is correct, but we are often treated as if we are and at times taken advantage of. Eugene talked over everything with me giving complete explanations and not some automotive fast talk. He allowed me to weight my options so I could decide what I felt was best. Plus his advice offered me performance enhancements and cost savings.
I just feel bad for all those folks without an Infiniti who will have to search long and hard for their own Eugene out there.
Eugene did my 60k on my 2005 g35 coupe and I'm very satisfied with his work. Not only did he did a wonderful job on my car, he made me aware of issues that my warranty covers. He picked me up from the BART station and we did a test drive before i left. He pays very close attention to detail which you will not find with the stealership!
Eugene knows Infiniti's! So I found Enthusiast Auto Care on Yelp and decided on contacting him after reading several 5-star reviews. Now I know why Eugene is the best! He came to our home to work on our 2008 G35... who does that? No one! He brought a full garage worth of tools & equipment to get the job done.
Eugene is great at communication and after working on a custom estimate over the phone and settling on a price I decided it can't get any better than that. I had a 65k mile service done and not only was it super thorough with upgraded liquids but he has was very knowledgeable, explaining all the benefits of each service he was performing. My car even had a slight idle issue so he cleaned out my throttle bodies and reprogrammed the CPU. Now the G35 purrs as if it just came off the lot. Everything about Eugene (scheduling, communication of job scope, workmanship, dedication to his craft) was all very professional. Don't bother with mediocre & over-priced work from Infiniti dealerships and talk to Eugene. Probably one of the best decisions I made this year was to call Enthusiast Auto Care.
Eugene did a 30/60k tuneup on my g35 2003 coupe and he did a great job. I had about 70k so he did the oil change, flushed all the fluids, ATF, changed the belts. He also helped me check the spark plugs for the tube leak. I also hung out there with him the whole time and he showed me everything he did.
I got my 15k service done with Eugene. He's knowledgeable, nice and polite. I learned much from him about my own car while he takes care of my car and I paid at least $200 than bringing it to the dealers and do all the extra small services that is completely not necessary.
Eugene's great. Very professional and knowledgable. You can tell he really cares about cars. He treats your car like it's his own, and shares his knowledge and experience with you. He had a saying I like, "If you want it done right, do it yourself. If you can't do it yourself, have me do it." (I hope I got that right). It's a perfect description of what he does.

Established in 2011.
I became a member of the Infiniti community when I purchased a new 2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan 6MT. I opened my personal garage to all forum members to help them do maintenance, modifications and repairs. Since then, I have turned my hobby into a successful mobile auto repair business, with a focus on outstanding customer service and education. In 2010, my beloved G35 was totaled and today its successor is a 2011 G37 Sedan, 6MT. I am active in the Infiniti community and always try to stay up to date on the latest service bulletins and repair practices.
I grew up in San Francisco and have been in the Bay Area most of my life. My hobbies include mountain biking, ice hockey, camping, and traveling. Of course I also enjoy working on Infiniti vehicles - but my favorite aspect of auto repair is working with customers and providing outstanding quality, customer service, and value.
Since San Francisco, for all its charm, is an incredibly inconvenient…
