So apparently they don't mind taking reservations for a particular time but actually having a car available at that time is a concept completely foreign to them. Of the three locations near me not one had a single car. Enterprise clearly loves to take reservations but they don't seem to understand what a reservation does. it is literally like the Seinfeld episode where this very thing took place.

So apparently they don't plan on doing anything about the fact that they just abandon customers who have made a reservation. I would advise avoiding this company like the plague as they clearly don't value the time or responsibilities of the residents or visitors of Mcallen.

May 21, 2023Previous reviewTHREE separate times this year, I have shown up to the counter with a reservation to find no one there to provide me a car. Apparently they don't wait for the last flight to come in and have left dozens of customers stranded at the airport. Never seen a rental place that wouldn't wait for a flight with multiple customers on it. I am a physician, and this interferes with my ability to do my job. The degree of apathy that one must have to just peace out like Fred Flinstone when the whistle blows is appalling to me

Down here for work; been here already 90 days. The rental place closes early. The govt made my reservation and they didn't have enough cars. Our car was a mess. They can't write rental contracts for longer than 30 days so you gotta go to the airport and wait for another one; smh. No offer to detail the car when I've been back to wait for another contract.

One person working the counter when all the flights come in this small airport ! 30 min wait in line !! Working the customers for National rental and Enterprise. His reason for the delay was it's a holiday !! Well that's when you have help to take care of the customers renting for the holiday !!!!! bad planning on management Just plain bad business. McAllen airport!! On Labor Day !! Sorry but I had to work too

Jun 29, 2016Previous reviewGreat service.. especially at this location I've tried others at the airport location and they were horrible with customer service.. enterprise people were friendly helpful and the cars I get are spot on with how clean they are. Won't try anyone else now.

Flawless victory.
Gave my reservation number. Got the keys from the rental desk and strolled over to the lot. Black Dodge Charger. Full tank of gasoline. ¡Me gusta!
Returned the car at the airport. Gave the keys back. Direct bill to the company. Walked away.

Very disappointed. One person in line ahead of me but it took 15 minutes to get a car.
Next, they tell me "just to follow the signs to the rental car lot" you mean the obscure sign that is not visible when you walk out of the rental area? Three of us, two from enterprise and one from another vendor, were wandering around the actual parking lot until I went back to ask.
The actual parking lot, (they literally hand you a key and say you are spot xxx) is to the right and down about a block. Sure, so easy.
Every other enterprise, and I mean all 15-20 airport enterprise locations I have been to, there is somewhere there waiting to help you out once you leave the desk.

Not a happy customer. Made a reservation at least 1 week in advanced and went to the airport to pick up vehicle and low and behold- they han no cars available! I had to wait more than 45 mins for a car to be "cleaned up". They kept offering me a huge mini van which I declined as I specifically reserved a mid sized vehicle. I was totally confused as to why I made a reservation if they do not honor them. Staff stated that the car is given away after 1 hour if you do not pick up the car at the exact reservation time. I asked if this policy is written somewhere and they of course didn't know. Smh. I was super irritated because Enterprise is usually top notch at other locations outside of McAllen. Perhaps cómprate should re-train this group.

I booked it and was upgraded FREE because my type of car wasn't available. That was very nice. I don't know if it had anything to do with the day prior to Thanksgiving or the unexpected upgrade, but the car wasn't cleaned out. There was an empty can of a power drink & it wasn't vacuumed. Lots of long strands of hair all over the place. The dirty car killed it for me. Although the car ran GREAT. I returned the car, it was billed to my credit card and off I went.

I have used Enterprise for many years. I like their professionalism and the fact that they will pick you up. Unfortunately I could not give this location 5 stars. I picked up my car at 10 p.m. and had to walk down to the car lot alone in the dark, wandering around in the maze of cars because there was not enough light to see the signs. I had to drop the car off in the same lot in the dark too. Being a woman I was concerned for my safety.Next time I will know to have someone with me.
