We've dined in the beautiful dining room, but we opt for the wine bar for a more casual, laidback atmosphere to chat and savor.  It's great to sit at the bar, meet new folks, chat with Joel or Jason behind the bar in the evenings.

Cocktail Hour offers an array of foods/beverages at great prices, but most often we arrive a bit later.

Thursday's Wine and Retail Events are great. $10 wine tastings, and we add a couple of small plates and split a dessert...we're happy and content. The staff takes the time to greet you, call you by name, and take a genuine interest in your dining experience.

Whether you're bringing a group of friends or dropping in by yourself, ENTORIA is always welcoming -- and delicious.

I regret that Enotria has lost my interest and is no longer in my dining scenes.  I want to like this restaurant but the food and service is below par.

I have dined here before and after the renovation.  I remember before was much better  I have dined here three times in the last two weeks with different foodie friends. The food is very salty. They over salt the entree and it's accompaniments and sauces.   Too much salt on everything. The salt stays in my mouth.  The portion is small and over priced.  The waiters are not hospitable.

    Don't order the cod special
    Don't order the ciopinno
Don't order the ahi tartar (very small portion, I was embarrassed to share this dish)
    Don't  order the salmon
    The oysters were okay
    The pork chop was edible
The sea bass was over cooked
    The olives were good
The chocolate terrine was good to share
The creme brûlée napoleon was not creme brûlée
I wanted to try the mushroom soup but opted out

Hundreds of dollars later, I am still hungry and regret the experience.  I shared my opinion with friends who have dined here on separate occassions and the sentiments were the same.

Valet is free if you check in on Yelp but I wouldn't reccomend it.

    Good food and great presentation!

I can honestly say that the pork chop I had was probably one of the best that I've had. It had a nice sear on it and was seasoned well. Most importantly, it was very moist inside. They also serve it bone in.

    The Ahi appetizer was great.

My only negative was that my friend's fish was a little dry. She actually sent it back. The waitress talked to the Chef and suggested we try something else because of the type of fish.

They were completely honest and seemed to genuinely want to help us out with the fish, I want to give them bonus stars for that. A restaurant should really cater to its customers and they do here.

Oh one more important thing, valet parking is free with a Yelp check-in!

I compare all other fine dining restaurants to this place... Enotria totally sets the bar for good food, excellent service & providing an overall great dining experience.

My most recent visit was this past sunday night. We walk in & the hostess immediately greeted us with a huge smile!!! Always a great first impression! Usually, I stay in the wine bar to eat but tonight we decided to eat in the dinner lounge. We were asked if we wanted to sit in a booth or a table & of course we said booth but the tables looked just as comfortable. I was so happy when Jason came up to our table to take care of us. He's just as attentive in the dining room as he is when he's tending the wine bar. It was all a perfect introduction to some perfect food!

We ordered the ceasar salad, autumn salad, autmn mac & cheese, ahi app., fish tacos & paella... Everything was soooo tastey & delicious... except when I decided to go out of my comfort zone & try a white anchovy from my moms ceasar salad. It's an acquired taste. Luckily, I was able to wash the taste down with some sweet moscato! Mmmm....

This place never disappoints! Can't wait to come back!

Staff changes abound at Enotria, but an evolving restaurant can stay on top.  And they sure are.

John Komotos decided to go back to The Green Boheme, a place I'll likely never go.  (It's vegan, and I'm a republican.  What more can I say?)

The new chef, Lance Carlini, comes to Enotria from High Steaks Steakhouse at Thunder Valley Casino, and formerly the Tower Bridge Bistro.

I was also sad to hear Jeremiah Morehouse move on, but Enotria quickly filled the position with Matthew Lewis, formerly of The Firehouse.  We went on a night where Matthew was busy with a wine dinner, and our Pre fixe already had pairings matched, so we didn't need personal attention, but he still took the time to say hi.

Even a new bartender!!!  Joshua made a couple drinks for us as we waited for our table (we were early), a Creme Brulee and a pumpkin martini.  Perfectly executed and fantastic drinks.

If you were considering going to Enotria, but haven't yet, GO NOW.  The $33.00 3 course meal INCLUDES the wine pairing, and is an amazing deal.  If you were considering going back...  GO NOW.  This deal shouldn't be passed up.

The service is still top notch, and at the start, and the food quality hasn't changed. Even better, it's closer to some loves of mine.  The veal on the pre-fixe sounds like something I would put together at home, Blue cheese butter on Fava beans.  MMMMM!!!

I'll leave it at this:  Every time Amazing and I come here, within the first 10 minutes we both get the feeling that we should go back more often.

If that doesn't tell you all you need to know, I don't know what else would.

The boyfriend and I just went last Saturday for dinner. At first walking in, it looked a little empty, but learned that the front area is just for the wine bar. The dining area is in the back. I was hoping it would be a little warmer, but it wasn't, but I guess that's what the wine is for!

We definitely splurged a little more with the food, but the boyfriend had read that portions were small, so we wanted to make sure we ate our fill since we were already there.

We started with the International and Bubbly flights of wine. I definitely enjoyed all of my Bubbly selections and he enjoyed all of his red wine selections. We had the steamed mussels in the tomato sauce - delish! And the raw oysters were also quite yummy - no extra sauce needed! And the bread? IS WARM! Awwwweeeesome!

He ordered the daily fish, which cost just a little more than my prix fixe selection. However, the fish was quite yummy as well as the accompanying grains and such. I had the summer prix fixe with came out with a small dish of pork tenderloin on mashed potatoes - yummy!! The entree was a steak (I can't remember which kind) that also came with mashed potatoes and beans. The steak was prepared well and was soft and tender - put that together with the mashed potatoes and BOOM: instant hit. My desert was three different scoops of sorbet (blood orange, lemon, pomegranate) and he ordered the Creme Brulee Napoleon, which was ... utterly amazing. If anyone loves Baklava and the crunchy candy part of a creme brulee and light cream, this is the desert for you. I swear I had a taste of Baklava even though I could still taste the creme brulee as well.

The service was great - water was filled when needed, plates and glasses were cleared when finished, and my best part - the hostess provided us with black napkins (instead of the default white) when she noticed that I had a black dress and the boyfriend had black slacks. Aaaaawesome!

Overall, it was an amazing experience and definitely worth the money that we paid for it.

    Thanks Enotria! ^____^

My husband and I ate at this place last night and I'm REALLY glad we did. The food is superb, the wine list resembles what I assume Heaven's wine list would look like and the atmosphere and staff are incredible. Quick tip, I'd valet instead of street parking though, when I was here for a meeting a couple weeks ago my friend's car got broken into while it was parked right in front of the restaurant.

I had the Lamb Cooked Two Ways. One was huge chucks of delicious lamb on a skewers. It was flavorful and moist. The other was pulled lamb, and I wanted to drown in it! YUM.

My husband had a scallop and swordfish special and both were also incredible.

For an appetizer we had the scallop and shrimp ceviche and it was good I wish I could eat it EVERYDAY.

For dessert I had the creme brulee napoleon. It was honestly the best dessert I've had in a long time. It was sweet, crunchy, smooth and covered in caramel drizzle.

How could I leave off the WINE LIST?? Not only is it extensive, there are also a variety of flights in case you can't commit to one! I had the Italian flight and my husband had the Jammy. Both were awesome and really completed our meal.

Overall, despite the rough neighborhood, this place is worth the risk of your car window getting smashed.

I can't tell you happy I am too see a business thrive in this part of town. I practically grew up here, just down the street off Norwood. We would bowl at Cardinal lanes and eat at little Joe's and skate at Iceland back in the 70's and early 80's... Ahh but enough about me.

Enotria can go toe to toe with the finest dining establishments in Sacramento. The ambiance is art deco, with swing and jazz playing in the dining room. The twitter addicted 20 somethings may find the place a bit stuffy but if you like things classy and classical, you will love the atmosphere.

We had the cheese sampler plate which was fantastic and started the evening off with two specialty cocktails. Their take on an old fashioned was delicious with walnut liqueur and mezcal!

For our main course I had the Lamb two ways and my wife had the flat iron steak. The lamb dish was by far the best lamb I have ever tried and it comes in kabob and a sweet shredded presentation. My taste of the flat iron stake was delicious.

Of course we need to mention the awesome wine pairing suggested to us by their friendly and knowledgeable wine director! The steak was paired with an Australian shirat, and the lamb with something a bit lighter, I must have forgotten the type but it was a perfect match for my lamb.

The staff are friendly and don't rush you along. Overall we had a 5 star experience and will definitely be back!

These ratings are way too generous. Went for the happy hour that lasts from 4 to 6:30. The oysters we ordered were room temperature and tasted like old fish (oysters should always be chilled and taste like a breath of fresh ocean air). We also got the beet salad, summer salad, and the caprese salad. None impressed me and they were all average taste and presentation. The flatbread with cherries and duck confit just wasn't that great. The cheese plate was nice but I've had better accompaniments for the cheeses other places. The tacos, completely forgettable. However the wine was good and they seemed to know what they were talking about. The food was about the quality of a chain restaurant rather than a fine dining establishment. I will not be returning

Side note: If you want a truly great wine bar definitely go to 58 and holding downtown. Best food in Sac in my opinion

My wife and I went to Enotria on Saturday for her birthday.  She started with the Heirloom Tomato Caprese salad and then had the Lamb Two Ways; both were fabulous.  The salad uses Burrata Mozzarella; if you haven't had this buttery cheese, your life is not complete.  I started with the short ribs which are always a treat and then had the paella.   The short ribs are in a rich sauce and are melt-in-your-mouth tender and delicious. The paella was a bit salty for my taste, but I ate every bit of it.

We finished with the Crème Brulee Napoleon, which was very creative as well as delicious, and washed it all down with a Sartori 2006 Amarone, which was great.  Most restaurants don't have any Amarones on the wine list; having five was impressive.

The restaurant recently reopened after an extensive remodeling, and they are still building back their traffic.  We were there on a Second Saturday and I was surprised at how few tables were filled.  So, right now, it can even be on your last-minute, drop-in list.

Just had dinner with my boyfriend for my birthday last night and I am very glad we decided to dine here! It was our first time there so we didn't know what to expect. I like how the bar and the dining area are separate. I would have considered dining on the patio if it wasn't so hot. I can't compare to how it was before the remodel but the place looks great. I am very into  vintage so I love the art deco touches.

The food and service was excellent. I liked how all the servers stopped by our table, they were very attentive. We started off with oysters and champagne. The oysters were very fresh and paired perfectly with the bubbles. We didn't feel like any soup or salad so we just ordered our entrees. I had the paella and my boyfriend ordered the flat iron steak. While mine was good and again the seafood was fresh I really enjoyed the few bites I stole from my boyfriends plate more lol. Next time we come I'll have to save room for dessert because the ice cream sandwich sounded yummy! Also really want to come by for cocktail hour in the bar. Thanks enotria for making my birthday special!

Though it is located in a less desirable area they are a great place to eat.  I work close by and when I have a business lunch they are my first choice.  Lunch prices are reasonable and the waiter (same guy every time we visit) is awesome!  He knows the menu.  The food is prepared perfectly and of course fresh.  The ceaser salad is a must to try with the anchovies.  I never liked the salad with the anchovies but when I tried it there, I enjoyed it.  I went years ago for dinner and it was very pricey but I remember it was very good.

Oh Enotria! where do I begin? I'm just gonna come right out and say it.. I am in love with you! After experiencing your greatness I now have the urge to take back some of my previous 5 star ratings(I wouldn't really do that). Seriously though, Enotria is the first truly great place that I have found since moving here from the Bay Area over a year ago.

My friends and I came here for the Thursday night wine tasting series. We were welcomed by their friendly staff and told to sit wherever we would like. We chose the back patio, which was the perfect spot for relaxing.

Their menu is fantastic! I couldn't decided between the Summer Mac and Cheese or the Riesling Braised Short Ribs so I got both. I thought that I had already discovered the best Mac and cheese on earth but I was wrong; it's at Enotria! Macaroni, sweet corn, summer squash, white cheddar Mornay, toasted panko breadcrumbs, YUM! Everything was so delicious. I stole a bit of my friend's pulled pork and let's just say I have already planned out my next meal at Enotria.

Jeremiah, the wine director, poured several wines throughout dinner (and then some) and was so knowledgeable and friendly. The staff at Enotria really made us feel welcome and were all so attentive.

I can't wait to go back!

    BAR v. RESTAURANT v. OUTSIDE
When you come in, you make a choice between the bar area with an abbreviated menu, the restaurant area in the back, or outside. Go check everything out to help decide. We ate in the nook in the back next to all the wines, which I consider the prime spot!

    SERVICE
Everyone was very friendly and did their part to make our experience great. Friendly but upscale quasi-formal service.

    WINE
Big selection with a knowledgable wine consultant. I got the seafood special and he gave me a coastal Italian wine, sharing his theory that "if it grows together, it goes together." They have wine flights that aren't too expensive.

    FOOD
Food was all good if not mind blowing. We liked the mac and cheese, veg entree, squash soup, and peach cobbler. My seafood special had a huge portion with two medium fish filets, shrimp, and rice. Interesting creme brulee napoleon. Quality iced tea and bread too. Nothing I had was poorly done.

    OVERALL
I agree with Binh D. that if you've have been to all the other nice restaurants and want to check out a different upscale restaurant in Sacramento then Enotria is worth a try. I disagree with Lori H. that "it's lost its quaint charm and 'this is my hidden treasure felling.' " To me, it felt tucked away, which for us helped create a unique romantic experience that was worth the price.

3.5 stars for food, service, recently renovated decor
3.0 stars for ambiance and timing

Like most things uptown, Enotria seems to be a pocketwatch in a 'mobile phone is my watch' generation -- but it's not down & out yet.

Down to the eats: The wine bar menu features small plates, which may seem expensive. HOWEVER some items include a simple salad (marinated baby arugula) and you won't know until your server tells you. The server also slips in a disclaimer about the gnocchi portion being small -- but boy was it UBER RICH in flavor. Diced seasonal squash, sautéed mushrooms, ricotta cheese & shaved parmesan -- NIIICE!

Lunch is served in the beautifully redone wine bar... but I always had my fancy dinners in the dining room. Before, the decor was tres 1990s a la Biba's interior designer. Now the place has a more intentional 1920s-30s art deco vibe... and don't miss the NEW terrace during the daytime!

Want to complain about prices? I suggest you dine some place else where they compromise quality and ingredients... REAL businesses try to work within budgetary means; we can't subsidize everything to provide a $10 buffet.

My only beef with Enotria is the ambiance and timing. Though the dining room wasn't crowded, the waiting time was surprisingly long. Not sure how many people were in the kitchen... and pls turn OFF the TV.

Would return for 'cocktail hour' and another lunch, if timing improves... Enough off-street parking, but It's hard to power lunch here if your guests have tight schedules. CERTAINLY would return for the dinner menu -- it's always been so good to me!

My boyfriend and I had a lovely dinner here the other night. We had the cheese plate, oysters, salad, entree - salmon and pork chop, dessert - banana tiramisu & chocolate torte. The caesar salad was so-so but everything else was outstanding! My salmon was cooked perfectly, oysters were fresh and bright, cheese selection was delectable, the pork chop was quite large and delicious....amazing! We will definitely be going back. In fact we went back the next night for the weekly wine tasting. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and the selection he chose was very balanced. To go with the tasting we had a few small plates, the ahi plate and the mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was okay but the ahi plate was really good...we both wished there was more when it was gone!

If the prices went down or the portion size goes up, then this place would get 4 stars.

Food: Beet salad and oysters were good. Lamb chops were well cooked but lacked flavor and was pretty small in size. Duck wasn't good and had the partial taste and texture of liver. Desserts were okay. Great wine list and I do like that they have flights available.

Ambiance: Nicely designed, tables are a little cramped and the location is kind of weird for a restaurant like this. Mostly older people (45 y/o+)

Service: Good for the price, Jeremiah the wine consultant was really knowledgeable and did a great job.

Price: $10-20 for apps, $25-45 for entrees. A little pricey for the quality and the amount of food.

Overall: If you have been to all the other nice restaurants and want to check out a different upscale restaurant in Sacramento then Enotria is worth a try.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, great wine, and personal/attentive service.

The salmon entree was the best I've had, hands down.  And, I love salmon so much that I order it frequently.  I swear they have some secret passage straight to the ocean because it was so inarguably fresh.

The scallops small plate was also delicious; although the real surprise was the beet salad.  I don't usually seek out beets as a dining option, but a friend offered a taste of the salad.  It was amazingly delicious!  I should definitely reconsider my perception of beets!

Overall, this was a great experience that is well worth repeating.

I really had low expectations.  Let me set the stage.  We had reservations for dinner on Valentine's Day.  I was expecting being seated late, rushed service, and horrible uninspired food. What we got was:

Wonderful service.  We were seated promptly to my surprise. Our server Jason was great with suggestions and made us feel very welcomed.

Wonderful food.  Everything we ate had great flavor and beautifully presented.  I really enjoyed the lobster and gnocchi.

Wonderful wines.  I love that they do wine flights where you can get 3 separate tastes of wines in similar families.

At no time did we feel rushed which was very nice.

    I will return.

Enotria is a bit hard to find and in an unusual part of town for an upscal restaurant - but the food is worth the effort.  Their Kobe beef and fish dishes are some of the best I've experienced anywhere.

I had some friends from Europe visiting and they couldn't believe the wine list.  Remind me to find a resturant with a smaller collection the next time they come to visit.  Needless to say they made some good selections.

If you want an authentic place to eat where each meal is a work of art you won't find much better in Sacramento.  This restaurant would do well anywhere.

After being a regular patron for many years, I fell away from visiting after the lengthy renovation.

The new decor and ambiance is quite nice and competes with restaurants like The Water Boy and other trendy restaurants.  Somehow, though, it's lost it's quaint charm and "this is my hidden treasure" feeling.

The lamb comes in three chops.  Two done to medium-rare perfection, the final one overdone in both our meals.  The greens were probably not the best type of greens to saute over the white bean puree (a little too pureed) and the tomatoes were not properly cut (stem core all over) and unnecessary as an addition to this dish.

Wine fabulous.  New young sommelier engaging and knowledgeable.  Service more than adequate and attentive.

I'll go back, because overall, it remains one of the finest places to eat in Sacramento, but I've lost that lovin' feeling.

From the first moment I walked into Enotria I  knew this was a special place.  Between the Art Deco style and well dressed staff, I felt like I was transported back in time to a swanky jazz club in Chicago or New York.  Enotria takes its wine very seriously, as I do so I was pleased to be greeted by the wine bar as soon as we entered.  Its cozy and classy all the way.  As we were escorted down a long hallway to the dinning room I noticed how beautiful the large outdoor patio area was.  Its too cold and dark to enjoy this time of year but when the weather gets warmer you can be sure this is where I will be.  The dinning room was equally as nice and charming as the rest of the building complete with holiday decorations that also add a warmth and sweetness to the decor here.  The service was excellent and we even got a chance to talk with whom I'm assuming is the  Sommelier for the restaurant.  OK. now to the food.  We ordered the Autumn salad, tuna tartar two ways and a flight of wine each to start.  Both flights were creative and delicious.  Of the International flight the Tinto Negro Malbec was by far the best (we ordered a glass of this after tasting both flights).  It smelled like toasted oak and tasted smooth but a little rustic.  I ordered the Jammy flight but couldn't pick a stand out favorite.  The two dishes that accompanied these flights ended up being our favorite the whole night.  Second came the Paella and minestrone soup.  Both were good but not very memorable.  For desert we ordered the cheese plate and the dessert flight.  The cheese plate was good and included a piece of honeycomb which was the highlight.  I would have included a third piece of cheese if it were me to go with the three dessert wines.  The dessert wines themselves were far superior then the dessert we ordered.  The first two were unlike any I have had before, light and yet still so sweet.  I wanted to hold the flavor in my mouth for a minute before I swallowed it, it was so good.  The third was a bit syrupy but still a nice Tawny. Enotria is a wine lovers delight and an equally nice place to stay and enjoy alone or with a friend.

I had a $50 Gift Certificate that I had received as a gift about a year ago, so I thought I'd finally use it and take my grandparents out to a nice fancy dinner.

I asked the waitress if the gift certificate was still valid, cause there was no expiration date, It was NOT? What? apparently they had just went through a renovation and were no longer accepting old certificates? Isn't that illegal?

Anyways, so we ordered light since the menu was pretty high priced.

We started with the olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette with garlic for our bread. $4 Boy was it yummy! The olive oil was so smooth and flavorful! The balsamic was infused with honey and when you mixed the garlic with both of them...Heaven!

Next our Roasted Beet Salad came out, $7.50, when they set the plate down, I thought what a tiny portion. But after eating a few bites I was glad it was small because there was way to much goat cheese and lemon mousse, which overpowered any flavor of the dressing and had a consistency of eating cream cheese...not what I wanted to chew on! The candied walnuts also seemed to be MIA from the dish?

Then came our small plate entrees, to the restaurant's defense the waitress did warn us that they were "small" portions, in fact one was described as tiny! My Grandpa and I got the Kobe Beef Sliders $12 and my Grandma ordered the Artichokes $11.50. My Grandma's artichokes were definitely Tiny! The three artichoke hearts halves came out in a small bowl with a yummy sauce! Unfortunately it was not $11.50 worth of artichokes!

My two Kobe Beef sliders were delicious! The beef was cooked to a perfect med-rare to med and was full of flavor and went nicely with my glass of Cab! The mustard aioli sauce on top was such a perfect compliment to the sliders! Yum!

When I see "Small Plates" on the menu, I think small portioned meals... I think the menu section should have been titled "Starters" or "Appetizers" cause I did unfortunately walk away feeling ripped off for the prices. Our bill for the total meal with one glass of wine was $90...and the waitress was nice enough to point out that she did not charge me for my Granpa's french press coffee because of the gift certificated mix up...thanks for the $7 constellation prize!

The atmosphere was nice and cozy in the small dining room, the staff was very knowledgeable and attentive and the wine selection was quite extensive! Unfortunately I don't think I'll be going back because of the small portions!

My hubby and I had our anniversary dinner at Enotria this year.  The food was fabulous and love the new digs.  Loved the wine, we both loved our meals and the dessert was delish.  Will definitely go back.

I love this place.  The apps are excellent and the wine selection is superb.  They have a taster menu that's reasonable so you can find your favorite wine.  I recommend Tondre Pinot Noir (2008) from Santa Lucia Highlands, very very good :-) YUM.

The sliders are remarkably delicious, pairs well with the Pinot...the only knock on this place is the location, seems like a seedy place but once you get in all's good.  Wonderful attentive service too.

We have eaten here several times. Every time it has been like this: The most comfortable place to be-it all feels right; the most tantalizing culinary expressions; genius wine pairings. Enotria demonstrates dining experience perfection. I could go on, but it would seem like hyperbole.

I walked into Enotria I  was very impressed with the interior design and the people working there I knew right then this was a special place.   Enotria has developed its wine list effectively and you will be greeted by the wine bar as soon as you enter through the main entrance.  The restaurant is cozy and classy .  As we were escorted down a long hallway to the dinning room I noticed how beautiful the large outdoor patio area was, that will come in handy during nice climate times. The dinning room was equally as nice and charming as the rest of the building complete with holiday decorations that also add a warmth and sweetness to the decor.  The service was on point, ready, professional and we even got a chance to meet and chat with a gentelman that helped create the wine list and flight combos for the restaurant. Second came the Paella and minestrone soup, solid dishes but not outstanding.  For desert we ordered the cheese plate and the dessert flight.  The cheese plate was good and included a piece of honeycomb which was the highlight.  I was a fun and good dish that went well with the desert flights.  The dessert wines themselves were far superior then the dessert we ordered.  The first two were unlike any I have had before, light and yet still so sweet. Business meeting for 8 from 10 am to 5 pm in the Loggia.  Very quiet, private, used projector, screen, and high speed Wifi.   Great 4 course lunch, we would have all fallen asleep if it had not been for the four pots of French Press Coffee.  Three guests were from out of town and it is easy for them to jump on the Arden Garden Connector and get to Metro and Executive Airports, just 20 minutes drive to both.

Celebrated my wife's birthday and what a wonderful experience.  First timer and it won't be our last.  The service was outstanding...the person was there when you needed them yet gave us the privacy we wanted.  Cerviche was one of the best we've had and the beef rib was outstanding - melted in my mouth with very little fat.  We split the paella - they used a hint of various spices to ensure the taste, yet it was not overpowering...very yummy.

My favorite (and I am not a real alcohol drinker) was the tour of bubbles which included 3 samples of champagne.  I now love the bubbly drink!

All in all, the food, ambiance and service were terrific.

A shout out to my Sacramento yelpers.  I would have never stopped here by just driving by.  A definite diaond in the rough.  The staff were inviting and hlpful during my dining exprience.  Jeremiah, the sommelier, also waited on me during this visit.  I orderded the arugula salad and the duck main dish.  Both were excellent with the duck confit with quinao being the best I've ever had.  And when I told Jeremiah I didn't want two glasses of wine (one for salad and one for entree) he offered to make a wine flight for me that would be tailored to my meal.  What a bonus.  I enjoyed a Fume Blanc, pinot Noir, and Grenache with my dinner.  I really enoyed the fact that many of their wines are from some of the smaller growers in California.  I'll definitley be back.

Sitting in the restaurant after a great dinner. The lamb shoulder and flat iron were both fantastic. The waiter, Steven, was friendly and warm, and we enjoyed a nice visit from the chef. Highly recommend.

A great meal after a few near misses. Had the arctic char which was a special as well as the gazpacho. Both really wonderful summer dishes. Jeremiah helped us choose a Burgundy which would compliment the fish (we are pretty much red wine with food folks) and his choice was fabulous. We went early on a Saturday and the service, which had been a bit frazzled the last few times we went and dined in the wine bar, was terrific. Can't wait to go back!

One of the best restaurants in Sacramento. Their remodel is beautiful.  He service and food were way more than 5 stars.  Try the custom flight from Jeremiah!  Very nice, we ended up buying two bottles retail.  15 dollars for a 2005 pint noir worth 50!

If you live in Sacramento and you haven't been to enotria you are missing a rare gem in the region.

Decided to come back and try Enotria after the remodel and changing of the guard.  I am truely impressed now.  For the price it's a solid 4 to 4.5 stars for me.  Service was great, food very good, about a million times better than the last time.  The neighborhood still leaves something to be desired, but I think they get what they are and are simply trying to be the best they can.

We shared the summer salad which had me at blue cheese and pancetta along with the really fantastic mac and cheese to start.  My wife had the chicken entree and I the flat iron steak.  The steak was nicely seasoned and the perfect medium rare, it was accompanied by some pretty decent pomme frites.  My wives chicken was a little underwhelming she said, but she did enjoy the mashed potatoes and greens.

We didn't have wine as she is about 2 weeks from baby #1's arrival, but a look over the wine list seemed very favorable both in selection and pricing.  Most bottles seemed to be somewhere between $15-25 retail mark up and there are some interesting choices very close to retail pricing if you are willing to be adventurous.

It may be a while until we get back to Entoria given the baby, but I am certainly going to keep it on the short list for date night when we do manage to escape.

I love this place! As a regular patron of Big Idea Theatre down the street, Enotria is the perfect place for a pre-show drink and some appetizers.  One of my favorite things in the world is beet salad, and the one on the menu at Enotria doesn't disappoint!

The wine flights are a fun way to try new wines without having to commit to an entire glass - they enable one to step out of one's comfort zone with minimal risk.

Beautiful gem in a sort of rough area. The wait staff is superb. They definitely know what they are doing. When my SO was iffy about ordering the mint soup (which despite sounding strange was absolutely delicious) the waitress kindly brought over a small portion for us to taste. That is definitely going above and beyond! The martini here is amazing! One of the best I've ever had. Give this spot a try and you will undoubtedly want to return soon. Also, they have a gorgeous patio for hosting events (think : weddings, graduation, or retirement parties). It can come off a little bourgeois, but they treated myself and my SO (we are young-looking) with utmost respect.

I LOVED every dish I had here - and am salivating just thinking about them!

Came with my parents and boyfriend, and yes it is in a not-so-nice part of town but hey maybe they are trying to bring it up a notch? They have their own parking lot and the inside is nicely laid out. There is back covered patio, a large bar inside and seating  throughout.

The back patio had a guitar player playing quietly in the corner - nothing too loud, no weird singing just some acoustics.

I had so many favorites here so I will mention them all:

    Small plate appetizers:
Gnocchi with pancetta and asparagus -- homemade and SOOO perfectly soft and buttery. I cant wait to have it again.
Flatbread - its basically pizza. pesto, cheese, YUM.
Mussels & clams - this was the hit of our group. It came in a somewhat creamy tomato broth and we devoured that with out bread. My BF almost ordered it again as his dinner he loves it so much.
Scallops - 2 partly seared scallops with fava beans, garlic and served on am olive tapenade. VERY good but the worst bang for the buck we ordered ---- 2 scallops = $12

    Salads:
Ceaser - came with a full whole anchovy on top and lots of shaved cheese. nice portion size.
Beet: YUM. a large portion of diced beets and blue cheese with light greens and citrus dressing on top.

    Main:
pan roasted seafood with homemade pasta:. All kinds of shellfish in a light and non carroty carrot sauce. Very unique and satisfying.
Iron Steak: A medium RARE steak with fingerling potatoes in a wine sauce. Delicious.

We never had room for dessert! I can't wait to go back and try those! They also offer a 4 course pre fixe here for $45 per person.

Lastly, this place is a wine bar - they have 1000 wines to choose from and have been awarded 7 years in a row from Wine Spectator as having a fantastic selection. They offer lots of bottles, glasses and FLIGHTS. We each tried a different flight - they range from $10 - $14. It was nice to try some unique whites but I didn't love any of mine. I also thought their wine list was strange -- so many we had never heard of and not a lot of common types. Perhaps this is so they can charge whatever they want?

The WORST part about this place is price. It is expensive - but the food is exceptional. Bathroom was just ok for this upscale place B- since its a one roomer.

My husband and I had dinner at Enotria two nights before Valentine's weekend, so that we didn't have to fight the Valentine's day rush of people.  We were the only ones in the restaurant that night (keep in mind--it was cold and raining) the whole entire time for dinner.  We were worried that this place was empty because the food was going to be terrible.  However, the food was actually pretty good.

They offered a few items on the menu that evening that will be featured specials on Valentines Day.  I have to say, the scallops were absolutely delicious!!  The best i've had in a long time, but the portions were quite small for the amount of money we paid.  Dinner for 2 came out to be $150 and we only  had one glass of wine each with dinner and we didn't even order an appetizer. Wish the portions were slightly a little bit more filling, but other than that the food was great.
