I wandered into Enjoy: An Urban General Store and guess what? I ENJOYED it - LOL!
I was just browsing on this visit but, will be back to pick up some of their adorable magnets, greeting cards and tote bags.
The lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful, too!
This store is a great place to shop while in Lincoln Square.
This is a FUN store if you're looking for a unique gift for someone or yourself. They have very unique trinkets, gadgets, toys, and lots of kitsch! I will be going here for the next birthday gift I need to pick up. If you're a parent, they have tons of cute children's clothing! Enjoy sells this awesome door mat that looks like a Chicago sewage cover!

My favorite card and gift store in the city. I bought my Christmas cards here - they had a good selection of unique cards. I also got some birthday cake candles that spelled out "YOU'RE OLD" and a piggy bank that says "I'm saving up to be a millionaire" with a picture of some cheesy kid on it. I really like the whole vibe of this place.

A couple of weeks ago, one of my coworkers pointed out that our entire department had forgotten our boss's birthday.
D'oh!
If there's one thing I've learned in life, it's that you should always ply the person who makes the final decision on your annual bonus + salary raise with gifts.
Aside from that, my boss is actually a Really Nice Lady, and it was Really Kinda Crappy that my coworkers and I forgot her birthday.
It was raining that day and I needed a place that had unique, cute & reasonably priced gifts. I also needed a place that was on my way home (Enjoy is about a block away from the Western Brown line stop) & open past 6 pm, so I could dash in, purchase a unique, cute & reasonably priced gift, and dash out.
Enter Enjoy: An Urban General Store.
Not only was I able to find a lovely Almond scented candle for my boss, but I also found a spiffy card + wrapping paper to make the whole gift complete. It was the kind of present that looked like I had taken some time to pick it out and put it together (even though I actually hadn't).
I will definitely stop by here the next time I need to buy a (belated) gift for someone who goes and has a birthday/baby/anniversary/wedding on me.
What a fun store!!! So many unique ideas for birthday presents, bachelorette parties, and kids gifts at very reasonable prices. I haven't seen most of the stuff in there anywhere else. Some of the gifts, like hand painted bachelorette martini glasses makes you want to slap your forehead and scream "DAMN, DAMN WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!!"
Another great reason to visit Lincoln Square. This place is jam packed with fun unique little gifts for anyone on your list. I say unique because you honestly can't find a lot of this stuff anywhere else in the glut of "unique stuff" shops across Chicago.
The wide variety of items just defies categorization, but there's bound to be something that catches your eye. My wife and I spent about half an hour pointing at different things and going "babe, babe, look at this". I bought all my co-workers Christmas presents here and was universally recognized as most stylish giver.
With all the great reasons to hit Lincoln Square, why not add Enjoy to the list.

Great place for stocking stuffers, gag gifts, and specialty gifts. Some of my personal faves, are bacon band-aids, sushi magnets and staplers, and high heel door stoppers. They have many baby clothing and gifts, too! I will definitely go back for some shower gifts!
I enjoy Enjoy. I really like all the baby clothes. There's a lot of stuff that qualifies as cute and kitschy, and that's just always fun. The prices are reasonable and the people are friendly.
But for all the talk about the cards here, I think there's a much better card store just across the street.
such a great store!
random odds and ends.
fun toys and gag gifts.
great kids stuff.
jewelry, greeting cards, tote bags and more.
i think everyone should go here!
my favorite purchase here: sarsaparilla gummy mustaches

This is ABSOLUTELY my new favorite store - it has so many funny gifts which epitomize uniqueness and sarcasm (two of my favorite things). Not only does it have the widest selection of left-wing gifts I've seen in a long time (e.g. "Pat the Politician" book, Save the Earth-Bush's last day paraphernalia) but also neat mugs, frames, magnets, baby clothes, jewelry, desk accessories, and other toys. Everyone in the store was cracking up while looking at all of the fabulous things there.
Everything was surprisingly affordable, especially since I've seen similar things at other boutiques for much more. The people who work there are really nice and helpful and full of suggestions. This is where I plan to do at least 75% of my holiday shopping, and much more in the future. Run here and shop before everyone else does!

Baby t-shirts range from a pink "Proud to be a Big Sister" to "Benevolent Dictator" and my family's all-time, hands-down fave: "Please Do Not Give my Mommy and Daddy Unsolicicited Advice, XOXO" (Ummm yeah, that was purchased by her Auntie, in Chicago, for all those those uppity disapproving relatives). I will be fielding requests from all of my remaining relatives with a sense of humor for that specific T-Shirt until all kids reach 18.
My Dog is welcome to eat many, many buscuits here. Thus I spend more and more on presents.... Solar-powered Disco Ball? Check. Stock up on Cards, toys, jewelry... and the coolest Henry VIII halloween mask EVER! I really should just apply for a hopeless addict mass-purchase discount rate for this place!

I thought that this store was adorable and affordable!
I went in looking for a baby gift, but there was plenty of stuff for adults as well. The selection of baby clothes/ gifts was unique and very cute. There were some great picture frames, mugs and nick knacks. I'll deifnitely be back the next time that I need an afforable and unique gift.

VERY cute store with a good sized assortment of neat gifts, including all things for baby. Awesome staff who will gift wrap your purchase beautifully.
Don't miss the "beer belly" belt that has a bottle opener cut out of the buckle. Neat!
They have the cutest selection of things here. I loved the baby onesies, unique picture frames, and adorable desk supples (I bought an elephant pencil sharpener/paper shredder. cute!). The staff was very friendly and my pup, Miko got to go in and shop with me. I'll be back whenever I'm near the neighborhood.

If you're looking for a gift for someone who's pretty normal but thinks they're not (if that makes sense), this is the place to go. I but stuff for my cousin and her recently born baby here, because it's a nice midway point between us - she likes J. Crew, I like handmade. She likes cute baby things, I like baby clothes that say "I pooped" or something. It's similar to this store I used to shop at in another city, and which I still love, and therefore I like this one a lot. My only complaint is that the prices are a little... pricey. But I think that's just to be expected of an independently owned little shop in a big city. We can't all be Target.

First things first, they're dog-friendly, and they happen to love my dog a lot, which garners an automatic "A" in my book. It's also just a really cute, well-stocked gift shop. I inherited a card-hoarding problem from my mother, and Enjoy carries a number of specialty lines (did you even know there was such a thing in the greeting card world?). Be sure to look for the bins of old postcards, which are something like four for a dollar, and great for decorating/crafting projects.
Super-cute jewelry, grab-bag gifts, and baby stuff, too!

I love this place, even if it is kind of hit or miss for me. The first time I went in, I walked out wishing I hadn't walked in because I'd spent so much on cards and other random things. The second time, I was sorely disappointed and felt obligated to buy a card because I happened to be the only one in the store and had spent so long in there.
Still, they're one of the few places that carries Evil Ink cards, and they have a ton of pretty cards for those occasions that I can't be my sarcastic self. They also have an enormous amount of baby/little kid stuff (including WebKinz, last I checked...), as well as a ton of gifty and household things.
This is such a fun store! Their card selection is awesome, and I can always find really unique, not from Hallmark, cheer someone up cards. Love that!
Fun jewelry, wacky toys, pretty candles, cool wall hangings...this store is just plain neat. And it seems like they really appreciate your business, which is so nice, since I AM spending my money.

Enjoy's a pretty neat shop, surrounded by a few other unique-store clones. They had your usual assortment of trendy/modern unique gifts that most suburban people aren't exposed to. The selection was decent and any store that stocks three different "Bush's Last Day" items is good in my book. Go check it out, and hit up it's neighbors too.

I bought just about every present I've had to buy for someone in the past year here. Full of unusual gifts to please a wide variety of tastes. So it's very convenient if you're a procrastinator and you don't know what to get for someone.
The ladies who work here (the owners, I think) are really nice, too.

The website describes Enjoy as "a specialty gift store serving urban dwellers stocked with a great variety of items designed to accomplish all gift shopping in one place." The website is right.
Enjoy is a little store with big variety. From baby clothes to gag gifts to candles to office supplies, Enjoy has it. It really is a good place to accomplish a lot of gift shopping. I know I did this Christmas.
The staff is friendly and helpful. All in all, shopping at Enjoy is a pleasant experience. If you are in the neighborhood, check it out. You never know what treasure you'll find.

Enjoy is an adorable little shop on Lincoln Square.
The store is divided into three sections. The first has purses and baby items, the second is mostly candles, decorative glasses/mugs and picture frames, and the third has lots of stationery, cards, gift wrap, etc. The majority of their merchandise is really cute and reasonably priced.
The girl who rang me up, Becca, was super nice and offered to box & wrap my items.
Cute merchandise and friendly staff? Yeah, I'll be coming back here regularly.

best shopping detour ever! perusing all the closed shop windows at 10:15 in lincoln square on my way to cafe selmarie for breakfast, i was surprised by an open sign on this place next door.
from baby gifts that aren't all frills and ruffles (i bought two onesies that said "we are not identical" for the twins) to things you'd never even think of wanting, but you will, trust me; all are quirky, funny, useful, fun, pretty, anything but ordinary. plus you can find a great card to go with them. i spent nearly an hour exploring, and enjoying, all they had to offer. the salesperson was great, just friendly and helpful enough.
my cache: banana pan handle cover, quacking duck alarm clock, "live with passion" mug, monkey bandaids, spy pen, bush's last day magnet, asst. other magnets, walking robot pencil sharpener, afore mentioned baby shirts, and a half dozen cards. i had to make a few deletions, and peel my eyes away from the jewelry, cause i was really getting carried away, though my bill at the end was reasonable enough that i could have been a little more reckless. for product, price, service: 5 stars!
I love this store! This gift store just says "fun" (unlike the 'you break it, you buy it' stuffy gift stores I remember). A great mix of higher-end gifts and cute novelty items. I love the little bins by the cash register--never knowing what will be in them--but always finding something cute under 10 bucks. But what I think is actually underrated is the card selection. Really nice and unique letterpress designs and really funny 'gag' cards--I love the extremes. And, it seems like the stuff in the store is always changing--so every time I think I know what they have--there's more things.
