5 stars for the green fee, alone! I was lucky enough to get a online special so this course was a steal for the price I paid.
The layout was great and the guy at the pro shop was awesome. The cart girl doesn't drive around like other courses (although she should! She's hot!) but the course has a bunch of call boxes to order from and she'll come and deliver the food to you. I think I saw about 5 boxes total. One of our guys ran out of gas on the way to the course because he didn't want to be late. I should've called him and told him that the guy pushed our tee time back a little. Oh well; nice to know they'll accommodate you in that situation.
The course is in decent shape considering it's early September. The fairways are nice and green and the greens were in decent shape; not too many ballmarks. The fairways are narrow and quite challenging. The nicest hole (and toughest, IMO) is the 17th; a 220 yard par 3.
I had a great time at this course and I'll definitely be back. My buddy shot his worst round of golf of the year here so he may not agree, but I'm definitely going to try to get us another tee time here.

Empire Lakes Golf Course offers golfers one of the most scenic and challenging courses ever designed. Arnold Palmer designed this course of undulating fairways, fingered bunkers and hazardous foothill washes, creating a unique experience for every level of golfer. This is one of the best course around, course really penalize you if you miss the fairway. Service is not the best!

Over the last few months ive been playing once a week after work for only $20. You cant beat that. We usually get in atleast 13 holes but with it getting lighter later we will be able to finish.
The only thing that this place lacks is customer service. Its always had horrilbe customer service from the day it opened. Its always the people behind the counter with the attitude. Ive played with different people here and somebody or myself have had problems with people 4 times. just rude. but the course is great

Beautiful course. Nice lush fairways and many parts of the rough are great as well. There is a lot of bare dirt or thick bushes to swallow up some way sliced balls. Good looking holes with some nice hitting over water holes. Only complaint was a few of the greens near the water had a lot of duck poop, 2 holes in particular it was very very bad. No cart girl on my trip and maybe one or 2 water refill stations. Great layout and I would recommend it, especially if you find a good deal online. I played for 15 bucks at 12:25 pm
I played here once, many years ago,a day before the nationwide tour stop and the course was in primo shape, the rough extra long and thick and found it challenging... So yrs later, I played it again, and found when I checked in -the guy at the pro shop, was just not having a good day, seems like it was the end of his day at 8am or he got up on the wrong side of the bed, funny ,even the other players in my foursome agree,no smile, took our money and could care less if we played there.. I actually like the golf course,it is a drive for me from garden grove..
And I agree no coolers available on these hot days,it was June and I was playing in a heatwave, lucky I brought my own gatorade,as if I passed out,out there( no one came around to do a welfare check,on all players on the course-do a drive by),no marshalls(ooh yeah slow play)-as there are guys who think they are good enough to play blue tees, but cannot find the fairways- and/or much dinking water on the golf course... sory no 4or 5 stars here...
a good and deceptively challenging course in the IE. designed by arnold palmer, its not the longest course but you need some distance and more accuracy from the tees. the greens are very quick yet don't have a great deal of break in them. at $90 a round (cart included) it is a bit steep for the casual duffer.
the rough is VERY unforgiving.

Love this course designed by Arnold Palmer. The course is more challenging than it looks. Makes you play to yardage and some holes you have to be very accurate off the tee but all in all the course is fair with some slick greens. It's a little oricey but worth it, love the replay discount!
