I found Eszter and EmmaRose Papery in a Sunset magazine issue. It was a feature story on her home and business, and her focus on sustainability. I kept the page from the magazine, and as soon as Tom and I got engaged, I knew who I was going to call for our wedding invitations.
From our initial meeting to review her portfolio, to the day I picked up the invitations, it was a pleasure working with Eszter. She helped Tom and I pick out a design and approach that was in our budget (an existing design, one color, RSVP postcards). And although we did "flat" printing, the design looked letterpress. We also had "thank you" cards done - it was well worth it.
We're looking forward to working with Eszter for our business and special events! -

I can not say enough great things about working with Eszter while designing our wedding "save-the-dates" and invitations. So I'll *try to* keep it brief.
Foremost, she is easy to talk to and the ultimate in patience and professionalism. In a world where weddings and events are looked at strictly as a business by so many vendors, Eszter will genuinely take to heart your personality, input, and ideas.
She is a fantastic creative talent who can take a concept like "we met on BART and would like a BART-themed wedding"...and make it happen. And make it happen with style. It was when my honey and I saw the BART-themed save-the-dates in her custom collection that we knew she was the one we wanted to work with. I was also floored by a spin on a "rock art" poster that she created for one of her clients. Brilliant.
And while her custom work is amazing, she also boasts a VERY impressive collection of "Classic" and "Signature" designs to choose from. We got exactly what we wanted, stayed within our budget (Eszter is more than willing to help you figure out how to keep costs down while still getting a lovely end product), and received rave reviews from our guests.
We could not have asked for more - she loves what she does, takes great care of her clients, and it is reflected in the final product. Thanks again, Eszter!
*side note: Mr. Cara and myself did not meet on BART. It was a concept that she created at the request of another couple who did. The only people Mr. Cara and I usually meet on BART are lunatics and mouth-breathers. -

When I got engaged, I had already been looking at (and envying) overpriced invitations for a month. Once we made our budget, I began sending out emails to different designers with my budget outline. The response? I'm pretty sure it was near laugher from everyone who got the email from the girl with the slight budget and big, letterpress dreams. And then I got a response from EmmaRose Papery, from Eszter. She was great from the start - we met with her, and immediately knew that we wanted to work with her.
She was just as excited as we were, was always open to suggestions and ideas, and was always patient. Our final design was beautiful, and exactly what we wanted. We received so many compliments on the invitations, and they were well deserved by Eszter. We would definitely recommend EmmaRose Papery to anyone who wants to work directly with a passionate, caring, personal business owner. -

If you're a romantic like me, you love getting beautiful things in the mail and also love sending them. EmmaRose Papery is both stationer and therapist to any paper fiend -- they will help you with ribbons, feathers, Italian paper and whatever your heart desires.
Eszter and Michelle make a terrific team --- one any savvy bride can look to for all their stationery needs. It was important to us to make everything in our wedding very unique and elegant, including our art nouveau peacock-themed invitations which wowed everyone! EmmaRose made it easy and fun. The invitation creation was by far one of the best parts of the wedding planning process.
If you have an eye for the sweet and artful things and are planning a special event or simply feel the need to revive the old world practice of having personal stationery, you should call on these creative, fun women at EmmaRose. The groom and I keep admiring our invitation...he calls it, "Magnificent!" That about says it all. Thanks for reading! -

If you are looking for original, elegant, fun, and eye-catching designs for your stationary needs, Eszter at EmmaRose Papery is your woman. She worked with my husband and me to help us design our save-the-dates, invites, programs, seating tags, and more. Our guests were raving about the "collateral" for our wedding. Eszter is a class act and a consumate professional with a great eye (and years of experience to back it up). Simply put, she is a pleasure to work with and you will not be disappointed with the final product.

We can only say good things about Eszter too! She was very patient with us, listened to all our requests and made changes quickly when we couldn't decide exactly what we wanted. Her design worked well with our Asian-influenced theme. We received so many compliments about everything Eszter designed for our wedding, including the invitations, programs, thank you cards, and our US Weekly poster! The poster, in particular, was a huge hit!! Thank you, Eszter!

EmmaRose Papery flat out rocked my world. Eszter is so incredily talented - not only is her creative second to none, she was able to work within our demanding schedule & tight budget. I couldn't have been more pleased!
She did our wedding invitations, programs & table settings. Our guests raved about each piece. They were a huge hit!
Eszter is incredible to work with - very patient & accomodating. She regularly went way above & beyond the call to ensure we were happy.
I really can't say enough great things...and I'm not one to throw out compliments. -

I cannot rave enough about Eszter and Emma Rose. I am so happy with the personal stationery she designed for me--it's gorgeous and I get so many compliments on it. Working with Eszter is a true collaboration: she listens to your vision while making great suggestions of her own. She was so professional and sweet and easy to work with. She showed me many examples along the way so that the final result was exactly what I was expecting. Eszter was also very mindful of the cost of the project, even suggesting that doing letterpress cards (her specialty) in my case was not worth the extra money. I also love that she favors recycled papers--a huge plus! I highly recommend Emma Rose Papery but don't just take my word for it. Make an appointment to look at her portfolio--I guarantee you'll hire her.

Eszter and Michelle are both so great to work with. I have worked on several projects with them over the past few months for both business and personal. Each time they go out of their way to make the whole process easy for you. Eszter is great at really feeling you out and coming up with an idea that suits your needs. I have been more than impressed with all of their work and have received several compliments from others. They have a great eye for things and have come up with beautiful designs for invitations, cards, etc. From corportate invitations to baby shower invites they are the best! I highly recommend them to anyone.

I cannot recommend EmmaRose Papery highly enough - overwhelmed with the idea of planning my wedding, I contacted Eszter at EmmaRose to get preliminary ideas about invitations. I was struck by Eszter's warmth and obvious love for what she does. She worked with me very closely over the next few months to develop an elegant design for my invitations. I have a pretty demanding work schedule and Eszter always seemed willing to meet with me at work, or to do as much over email as possible. I was so happy to have a unique invitation designed by someone who was as enthusiastic about my day as I was! Eszter is an incredibly talented artist, but she has a particular gift for understanding her clients' wants and needs and tailoring her services to accomodate everything. She truly made the stress of planning a wedding so much easier to deal with - I definitely look forward to working with her in the future.
