Over the years I've entrusted my head/hair to a select few hands and through these interactions I have come up with a criteria that I believe make a high quality barber/barbershop:

1. A good barber cuts with diligence but does not rush just so they can move to the next head/dollar. (15 minute fade = Crooked ass lining)

2. A great barbershop is not only a place to get a clean fade but also a forum where anything, from the Giants to problems with your damn lady, can be discussed.

3. An excellent barber is friendly and interacts with the client as if they were a guest in their own home.

Emilio and his barbershop embody all of these qualities. If you're looking for a quality barber who will take his time, let you bitch about your old lady, and is an all-around good cat then head over to Emilio's barbershop. But like my boy Levar Burton said "you don't have to take my word for it"  head over to Emilio's and find out for yourself.

Emilio is as legit as it gets. Enough said. Ive gotten my haircut at various shops in the city, and I first met Emilio when he was working at his old shop on 7th and Market, like 2 blocks from my house.

His new shop is now on Farragut and Mission all the way by DC and I still make the just about weekly trip out there for my line up and cut. He takes his time, is always precise, and a nice guy to add!

So stop reading this and go get hooked up...NOW. Prices are great also, and hes always trying to make his new shop look better so go support!

Found Emilio's on Yelp, saw that everyone gave him 5 stars, so I decided to go in for a trim.

I can see why he's getting excellent reviews. Dude is a damn good barber.
Meticulous, precise, versatile, and above all else, friendly. What more can you ask for?

I moved to SF in April and have been bouncing around from barber to barber. Not anymore. He's my guy and will be my guy from here on out.

Good job, Emilio.

Never really went to get haircuts before, since I always just cut my hair myself. Finally decided to get one and found this place where the old Salvatore's used to be.

Emilio's a great guy who makes you feel right at home. He holds down a solid conversation and gives a great cut.  and even if you step foot a minute to closing, he's still available for ya.

Found out about this place through the Yelp offer (50% off for first-timers, if you mention the Yelp advertisement). It's a small little shop off Mission, so make sure you catch him when there aren't other customers waiting. I lazily pointed to the picture chart, and probably didn't pick out the best choice. BUT, he did a great job with it, with amazing attention to detail, and that's what counts. Even if I walked out looking Mexican instead of Asian. And at $10 for a haircut, it's the best deal you can get for that kind of service, and possibly the lowest price in the Bay Area. Go there now!

I was shocked when my old barber wasn't there and especially a day before I was suppose to get married.  If I didn't have a mane growing on my head I probably wouldn't have taken the chance - I'm glad I did.  There were tons of pictures taken the next day and I got to see Emilio's work from every angle.  The guy is legit.

This guy rocks.  A sharp barber with clippers that can fade anyone.  He pays attention.  Hard to find young guys that really like their profession and care about details.  An old-school barber that is hip, sharp, and knows the new trends.  Give this guy a chance and you'll be impressed!
