6 reviews for Emerald Thai Restaurant
This place is good. I wouldn't say the best. It's slightly overpriced for thai food. There is another thai place that i think is the best in ft. lauderdale area.
Although - if you are wanting Pad Thai that is more wet than dry... then this is the place. And if you want a combo of meat with tofu, they will do it for you here as well.
The curries and other dishes are all pretty standard. nothing really spectacular stands out about this place. It's got a great location Right on state road 84, so I think that's what attracts most of the business.
Denise you're crazy!!! This is the best Thai food I've ever had!!! The pad Thai is to die for, the curry is soo good, the staff is super friendly. They have an awesome lunch menu with soup and salad included. The best peanut dressing you will ever have. Does not disappoint, trust me.
while i havent had thai food in that many restaurants i think emerald must be the best tasting. the atmosphere is lacking and they tend to have patrons that come early so if you are a late night dinner person this might not be the place for you. my kids don't like eating at a place when there are no other diners. service is a bit slow because of the lack of help but i can see they are being thrifty for many reasons. we tend to get takeout alot. curry is the best.
While it's not the best Thai I've ever had, it certainly isn't the worst. I've only dined here at lunchtime, but judging by how packed it appears to be every time I drive by it in the evenings, dinner here is probably not too bad either. The lunch special at Emerald includes salad bar (lettuce, a few scattered tomato slices, and your choice of peanut or ginger dressing), soup, and either mee krob (crispy, sweet and sour noodles) or some other fried, tasty treat. The food tends to be ready very quckly, but there never seem to be enough servers to take care of everyone in the restaurant as quickly as is needed. Usually, only one or two servers take care of the entire dining room, so patience is sometimes required. Again, like I said, not the best but definitely not the worst.
We dine out a lot and I have a hard time finding clean Thai places, but this one is clean. The sevice was a little slow, but when our food arrived we realized why. Everything was FRESH. We had dinner in and take out, both were good. The prices are a tad higher than most others, but if you want fresh food, it is worth the extra money.
We live just off the road from this place and has only dined there once and will probably never return except for lunch, which a good friend always rave about.Prices are a little on the higher range compared to most Thai restaurants around the area but service was prompt and fast despite us not enjoying the food.
