Good hotel for the money. It is usually one of the lower priced suite hotels in the area. Lovely atrium area and great breakfast in the morning. It's in good condition for a hotel that hasn't really been updated yet. Most of the Embassy Suites now have large LCD screens in the bedroom and living room, and this one has smaller regular TV's. Rooms are always clean and fresh. Parking can be cumbersome at times. Great location, right next to a mall, Target, and lots of restaurants. Convenient right off the freeway.

You know what.. I'm going to give this Embassy Suites a 5 star rating in it's class, meaning.. no, it's not a 5 star hotel, but for 'this type of hotel' meaning cookie-cutter, made for cost/efficiency/tourism ... it was exceptional.
Here's the deal. I've been to a few of the Embassy Suites in the US, and this one was cleaner, nicer, the staff friendlier, etc etc.. than all the others.
The free breakfast was decen and my omelette was made to order (w/ Jalapeos, to boot). The pool was clean, the room was spiffy, and the bed was very comfortable with quiet rooms. Quiet rooms can be an issue at 'this type of hotel' ..
anyhow.. I recommend it, even though it's a bit outside of portland (we had a car)
