Big rooms for a decent price! We booked a room here for a wedding and it was fairly cheap with the AAA discount. I love how the rooms are really spacious and all guests can enjoy complimentary happy hour and breakfast! The staff there was also helpful and polite.

Now for the reception, I did not care for the food at all. My steak was way overcooked and tasteless. I heard the salmon was pretty decent. Darn! Wrong choice. I didn't have much expectations for hotel food anyways. The breakfast buffet was allright, nothing bad, nothing great.

I love this hotel.  I live in Milpitas but sometimes you just wanna get out of the house and relax.  My husband and I have kids so we can't really go too far from home.  I love their complimentary breakfast and they have the best customer service and they try their best to accomodate you in any way possible to make sure you're satisfied.

beautiful hotel, spacious floor plan, love the sunday morning breakfast with the made-to-order omlettes. the hotel rooms center around a beautiful water fountain and pond with the biggest koi fishes i have ever seen in my life. minus one point for the constant security survelliance but that's only because we were trying to party, rather than sleep. i will definitely return if i am in the area.

***Rating is based on conference rooms, lunch and food***

My company sent me here along with fellow employees for a four day seminar. They didn't provide rooms since our company is also located in Milpitas. But they did provide with breakfast and lunch.
The breakfast was great. Fresh fruits, muffins, croissants, bagels, yogurt, granola, coffee and a variety of juices. All were great plus they hooked us up with brownies and cookies for our breaks.
Lunch was also good. They offered salads from house to oriental chicken salad. Also provided two diff. meat entrees each day. Nothing was bland at all. For dessert we had something diff each day. From cheese cake to chocholate cake. Can't complain since everything was either good or great.
Thanks company I work for and thanks embassy sweet, dude.

Telly was nice, kids were crazy cause it was memorial weekend and their was a baseball tourney.  Kids were running all over the place, but the security guards were on point.  Kept them in check for the most part.  The room was nice, clean, and very spacious since I have 4 kids.  The managers reception was nice and the complimentary breakfast hits the spot.  My only concern was the swimming pool.  It seemed as if they don't clean the pool at all.  I really felt like I was in a swamp.  It smelled like old dirty rotten smelly parmesan cheese mixed with an old mans ashey smelly feet.  When the kids and I got out, and let our trunks dry in the bathroom, it had the most awful smell.  Would definatley stay again but if the pool is the same, I would rather not...

*** For wedding ***

The food and hotel room was great.  I don't have any complaints about them.  The prices were very fair and competitive.  The little pond with a mini waterfall is a nice little touch.  I did not like the event/wedding coordinator, Karen.  She did what was expected of her but definitely has poor service skills.  The day before the wedding, we even asked her if she was planning on attending, and she replied "Do I even have a choice?"  I didn't quite get why she had a snide remark when obviously we were just asking and not expecting her to be there, only as long as somebody was present to make sure things go smoothly.  It's not that difficult to have a list of agreed upon services/purchases and just go from there.  In the end, I'd say this place was good and I'm happy with it, however, the coordinator is what really brings down this rating.  Not sure if Karen is still there but this was for a wedding in 2008.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...

During the week, this is a decent traveler's hotel.  I stay here because I'm earning Hilton HHonors points, I'm not thrilled with the Hampton, and the Hilton Garden Inn doesn't support my company discount.  The breakfast is better than most hotel breakfasts, although they still have OJ from concentrate, and not a lot of truly healthy choices.  The beds are good, but the Hilton Garden Inn has kickass beds, comforters, and pillows.  (and Hermann Miller Mirra chairs).  The litmus test is if you want to steal them after using them for extended periods!

During the weekend, and sometimes bleeding into the weeks, this becomes ZOMG GREAT AMERICA HERE COME OUR 10 UNSUPERVISED KIDS.  Silicon Valley goes swap meet!  What ever happened to maximum occupancy.?  I saw 15-20 people walk out of one room, like one of those clown cars.  Don't even bother going down for breakfast if you stay during these times.  There's always 50 obese kids from the midwest flyover states that are going back for seconds or thirds.

You will never want to go into the pool after seeing it on weekends.  They have to use 10x the chlorine - too bad they're not putting it in these peoples' gene pools!

I still stay here every week, but it falls way behind the other locations, mainly due to tourists.  If you've ever seen Idiocracy, these families are making a push for the real-life version.

You cannot go wrong with embassy suites!  I have stayed at this one multiple times but it had been a while since I had gone until this past weekend.  They have remodeled all of the rooms and they did an awesome job.  Instead of the old tube tv's they replaced them with a 32" lcd in each of the rooms and replaced the dresser drawers with new cherry wood cabinets that look great.  This time that I went, me and my girlfriend enjoyed the happy hour from 5:30-7:30pm every day where the drinks were actually FREE even alcoholic beverages, which was awesome.  Along with the free drinks they also serve chips and salsa, pretzels, and the cheddar goldfish.  Joel the bartender was awesome and provided great customer service as I came for my free refills.  Another great thing about this Embassy Suites is that the pool is open from 10pm-midnight for 18&up only so you don't have to deal with all the little children running around, splashing, and causing a commotion.  Last major plus for the embassy suites is the complimentary breakfast buffet, and this is a real buffet that would cost normally round $15 at any other restaurant but is free to all guests.  The only reason that I didn't give this place the full 5 stars is because there customer service of their front desk could be a little better, no smiles and took them quite some time to acknowledge me when I arrived.  All in all, where ever I go I always look for a embassy suites and the one in Milpitas is one of their bests.

If you've ever stayed at more than one Embassy Suites, you already know that they're all virtually identical, both in terms of physical layout and amenities offered.  The Milipitas Embassy Suites is no exception, so whether you like it or not will depend almost entirely on your feelings toward Embassy Suites in general.  Having said that, we spent a night here and had a great time.  With two baby boys, we picked this place because of the large, clean rooms.  We had pre-ordered two cribs, extra towels and bathrobes, all of which were delivered to the room free of charge. You can connect your MP3 player to the small clock radio -- not great fidelity, but a nice touch.  We were lucky, because we stayed there on a Thursday night when the place was virtually empty.  As a result, my afternoon swim took place in a completely empty pool, which was quite relaxing.  The evening cocktail reception essentially allows you to drink unlimited booze for two hours, and the lines were short.  So why only four stars rather than five?  Well, the place is nice, but it's not the Ritz.  In addition, I went back down to the pool at 10:00 p.m., hoping for another quiet swim during their "no kids" period that begins at 10:00, only to find a family with several screaming children.  After a polite request was ignored for more than 15 minutes, I had to track down the management to request that they enforce their own policy.  It's a great idea to have the final two hours of the evening reserved for adults only, but it means little if it's not enforced.  Considering the number of families that stay here, the hotel should send someone to the pool nightly at 10:00 p.m. and make sure that it is!  But this was the only notable complaint in an otherwise relaxing "staycation."

I bought my sister and 10 friends here for her 13th birthday party/sleep over.

We had a great time. the rooms were big and had full access to all the facilities.
This is the perfect place for parties and a get away evening with your hunny.
Decently priced, clean and comfy beds.
PLUS, I love the happy hour and breakfast

Pros:
* Hotel is kid-friendly, located to near-by restaurants and stores.
* All the rooms are suites. There's a door that separates the living room and bedroom. The living room has a pull out bed. All rooms have a microwave, fridge and a mini-sink.
* Rooms are re-modeled, with marble counter tops and more up-to-date room furniture. All down bedding.
* The pool is open until 10 am. Alcohol allowed.
* 2 complimentary drinks from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, and killer buffet breakfast.
* Room service is QUICK.
* Elevators are QUICK.

My only con is the air conditioning. The living room gets way more air than the bedroom.

Rooms are spacious (we had 8 people in one room) and so is the hang out area outside the rooms. I would recommend this to families with younger children.

The inside is beautiful, the hot tub is relaxing, the room stayed warm a little to warm all night. But I like this place. everyone is friendly. especially the waitress in the restaurant at night. I don't know if she is the only waitress but every time I have been there she is the one that waits on us. She is very sweet and attentive. The decor inside is very elegant. I enjoyed my stay, had a good time. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

This is a great place to stay for business.  The room's are huge, free breakfast (with omelettes to order, bacon, sausage, fruit...), and free happy hour.  The people here are really nice and I've seen many a non-hotel guest take advantage of either the free b'fast or drinks

The lobby/first floor is really nice.  There's a whole zen-like brook they've set up that creates a relaxing atmosphere after a day at work.

The room service/dinner menu is solid.  I've had some decent dishes.  The bar scene, though, is crippingly lame.  Can't blame Embassy Suites I guess but a 5-star hotel has to have some type of pulse at the bar.  If I was a woman seeking attention or affection, I'd so frequent Silicon Valley hotel bars....

I have some mixed feelings about this hotel. I like Embassy Suites because when we take my BF's daughter with us it's convenient to have the cook to order breakfast and the pool.  I felt this hotel was lacking in a lot of ways.
1.) The room was really stuffy and even when we had the air on it didn't really help.
2.) When we arrived in our room there was a humming noise that was really annoying.  ( We had to turn the air on to be able to sleep so it would drown out the humming.)  The manager couldn't figure out were it was coming from so we switched rooms and the one we switched into also had the same noise.
3.) The room seemed to be a little smaller than the ones we have stayed at before and I feel this hotel was catered more towards adults and business.

The things I really liked about this hotel were:
1.) The managers reception and cook to order breakfast.  I think that the embassy hotel really has there sh*t together when it comes to hospitality.
2.) The people at this hotel were very friendly and wanting to help us when needed.
3.) The pool area was great and the scenery inside the hotel was put together nicely.

Other than that our stay was pleasant... would I stay here again...MAYBE!

We booked a room here for my daughter and 4 friends for her 14th birthday party.  We thought we'd be able to enjoy the use of a nice, indoor pool, in the dead of a rainy winter.  We were SO wrong.  While the room itself was clean and roomy, the lobby, foyer, pool and shared space were a complete ZOO!  I felt like I was a in a nightmare as rude kids wet, soppy and chlorine-ridden pushed us in the hallways and crowded the elevators.  The balcony was climbing with single men or groups of men who did nothing but ogle women!  My group of girls were spoken to on two accounts by two dirty old men!  As I watched!  There were also young hoodlums running around banging on doors in a type of doorbell dash!  Horrible, horrible, horrible!  Over 100 stinky, rude, splashy kids in the pool.  It was inaccessible to us.  Worst experience I've ever had in ANY hotel!

I have a VERY mixed review for this Hotel.

1. 5 Stars for DeAnna - I had my wedding here and was very impressed with DeAnna our coordinator. There were a few issues with pricing but she always came through for us. The day of the wedding she was there for us and made us feel special. The staff placed my wedding bouquet in the hotels walk-in and they stayed beautiful.

2. 4 Stars - Food for our reception. The food was wonderful and the staff working our reception was very friendly to all my guests and especially my family.

3. 2 Stars - Night staff was very rude. They did not want to be bothered with any guests.

4. 1 Star - MY ROOM - The night before my wedding and the sink in the bedroom dripped all night. I had such a bad time with the desk staff earlier that night so I just lived with it. What a way to start your marriage. Drove me crazy all night that I got very little sleep.

It is a shame the staff working with the everyday customers is not more friendly.

$120 for two room suite and full breakfast buffet!  Can't match that in the bay area, heck Hampton Inn down the street is typically $20 more...a bunch of restaurants very close (Red Lobster, El Torritors, Erik's Deli Cafe, and many more)...you do have to pay the $10 for web access, but overall a great bargain....staff is friendly and courteous, indoor pool and gym are available...and you get the nice scenery with the trees and fishes swimming around the interior....if you have a AAA # (or an old one for that matter; they don't check) you get an extra ten bucks off...just good luck getting any of the remotes to work! :-)

This is a tough one for me... I normally love Embassy Suites.  Just having a second room means the world when I'm on the road, it makes it feel that much more like home.  Also when travelling with children it gives the parents that little private time where you can put on HBO instead of Spongebob.

For this particular Embassy Suites my experience hasn't been all that great.  They've been undergoing construction for over a year now and the noise levels can fluctuate from minor to annoying.  This time I was put into a newly finished room, and I have to say, they should get some of their money back.  The lighting fixture wasn't even close to being on straight in the bathroom and the overall quality of the work was subpar.

My major beef with this stay was Internet connectivity.  Most nights I was able to get 21 kbps down with 800 ms latency to my 2nd hop.  This is worse than dial-up.  In Silicon Valley you need to rethink your typical circuit provisioning and throw more bandwidth at it... us geeks can suck it up pretty quickly.

But to their credit, the Embassy Suites seems to recognize the pain of construction.  They provided a set of construction hours and tried to avoid noise when you'd likely be asleep.  They also surprised me with a free dinner and 25% off another meal, so it wasn't a horrible trip.

The best part about my stay at this hotel was the breakfast.

The rooms were o.k. but, I like the fairfield inn better.

We had a girls retreat this past weekend and the staff were o.k. but, the rooms had their share of problems.

The mini fridge ran all night and the heater automatically came on and we couldn't get it to go off so I woke up sick the next morning.

There was only one elevator working on both sides of the building so waiting for the elevator was a problem.

I did enjoy the ice machine and soda machine on each floor.

There were so many nasty looking people in the pool that I didn't even bother to go.

Overall, I would stay again. Maybe at the Santa Clara or Burlingame Hotel.

The accommodations here are fine. It's not thing spectacular. But, the breakfast was pretty cool. You can get the normal eggs, sausage, bacon, etc but they also have a made-to-order omelet station. The lines for this was super long, so I didn't bother trying to get one. I do like the atrium and  it was cool at night, just chilling on the balcony in front of the room.

But, the real reason this place gets 4-stars is because I've been a best man and a groomsman at two separate weddings where the reception was held here. The banquet room is pretty roomy, where you can fit about 300 guests. The food for the banquet isn't too bad either, for a banquet setting. But, from what I've seen from the two wedding receptions I've been to, the service is top notch.

So, if you're getting married and you're looking for a place for your banquet, Embassy Suites isn't too bad at all...

My family and I attended a wedding here over the past weekend. Although we live is san jose we reserved a room, I knew there was going to be a lot drinking aloud and plus we had our 9 month old daughter. The room was great, big and spacious. But for some reason there was no a/c coming into the bedroom but just only the living room instead. It came with a mini fridge, microwave and sink. All perfect amenities I needed for my daughter. Comfortable beds, upgraded flat screen tvs in both rooms, nice and clean.. etc etc. I especially loved the free happy hour and the complimentary breakfast. It's not like a few pastries and a coffee pot, I'm talking about a full service breakast cook to order bar. It was awesome! I also love the fact that have an indoor swimiing pool. I took my daughter into the pool for the first time and she loved it. Check in was at 3pm but because we wanted to access the pool before the wedding they let us check in at 12pm, how great was that! And the following day they let us do an extended checkout at 1pm instead of 12pm. This place is great for families.

NOW, I WAS gonig to rate this 5 stars but i took away 2 stars because of the staff we had during the wedding reception. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! Get a new job or something, it really seemed like these people were so miserable that they took it out on the hotel guests. They were rude to my husband, and rude to the father of the bride. Wowza! But the staff during the day were awesome.

This place has the worst staff!
So i go here to have my birthday party and everything is great at check in, later on in the evening i get a phone call from front desk saying we didnt pay and to come down right now to sort things out. The asian chick who called me probably thought i was stupid and didnt save my reciept. I had to go down there and show it to the dumb *&^$! and she had the nerves to tell me, "Oh im sorry i mustve confused you with another guest" LIKE WTF ARE YOU SERIOUS? DOES THE COMPUTER NOT WORK?
I dont get how you can confuse your guest's and then print a valid reciept for the correct room....And to make things worse the night time manager was a jerk about the whole thing, not once did he say sorry about the whole thing.
-On the other hand the daytime manager was very nice, he wasnt rude and very helpful with everything and answering questions.
-It does have a nice scenary, but iI hate how everyone can see you when you leave your room or go in your room
- I dont recommend throwing a party here.
-Free breakfast was a +
-The rooms are very big and really nice

FIRST STAR-Great price to stay in their suite.
SECOND STAR-Very nice inside the rooms, and one friendly manager.

I stayed at this hotel for the first time. I've been here for events but never stayed before and I must say I really enjoyed my stay. I believe most embassy suites have the same design and service. The rooms are huge, comes with two couches, table, chairs, 2 TVs with cable, 2 sinks, I mean what is there not to love? People complain about the AC not giving enough room the bedroom. I had the same problem but I simply just opened the sliding door that they have and it cooled it down in no time and when it got to a comfortable temperature I just shut it. The breakfast has a very large selection, from eggs, to cereal to muffins. Oh and you can't forget the happy hour, complementary snack and drinks! You can't go wrong here. Oh yeah this hotel has a sauna and indoor pool as well. The lobby is definitely not as nice as other embassy suites but it's just because this place has been around for while otherwise, it's a great hotel!
